Announcers: Stevie Smith & Dane Rowley

Stevie & Dane talk about last Saturday's PPV Crisis Point excited about the fallout today at Best of British Wrestling! There were some huge results such as Dark Angel beating Sebastian Koller, Kevin Jones beating Wade Orson and in the Main Event Tommy Cornell beat Adam Matravers!

Dane Rowley: “Yeah but what about Hot Stuff (Buff Martinez & J-B Cash), they beat The Faust & The Furious (Jonathan Faust & Stevie Stoat) with J-B Cash pinning Stevie Stoat, the 21st Century United Kingdom title holder, in the middle of the ring!”

On that note, we hear The Faust & The Furious's music as they come out for their opening match of the night vs Crouching Storm (Ricky Storm & Sifu)

The Faust & The Furious (Jonathan Faust & Stevie Stoat) vs Crouching Storm, Hidden Sifu (Ricky Storm & Sifu)

The Faust & The Furious were looking to get back to winning ways after their defeat at Crisis Point. Ricky & Sifu put up a good fight but were no match for a fired up Jonathan & Stevie. Eventually Ricky misses a superkick which allows Jonathan to knock him to the mat and hit his finisher the Devil's Drop (leg drop)!

Winner: Jonathan Faust by pinfall

Rating: 83

With Jonathan Faust & Stevie Stoat in the ring, we hear Hot Stuff's music play. From the top ramp, Buff Martinez & J-B Cash stand at the top of the ramp. Both teams shout at each other until they're interrupted by the general manager of 21CW Jeff Nova.

9gFVs6v.jpg

Commanding absolute silence Jeff Nova starts to speak:

“Now I have an announcement..... At Crisis Point J-B Cash pinned Stevie Stoat to win the match so J-B's prize is a match for the 21st Century United Kingdom Title which will be right here on Best of Bristish Wrestling next week!..... Buff's prize is different and is a spot in the fatal 5-way No.1 Contender's match that I'm announcing for the 21st Century World Title!..... The other 4 spaces will be filled via matches.....with the first 2 tonight! They will be Edward Cornell vs Rolling Johnny Stones and Kevin vs Bedlam..... which is going to be right now!”

Jonathan & Stevie don't look very impressed in the ring as we cut to commercial.

nAAiy5P.jpgS1FskI3.jpg

As we cut back, the announcers are talking about the huge announcement we just had from Jeff Nova! A fatal 5-way has been announced to choose Tommy Cornell's opponent at Steel Cage Challenge. The first entrant is Buff Martinez! This week & next week we will have 4 qualifying matches for the other spots. And on top of that, next week in the Main Event we will have J-B Cash vs Stevie Stoat for the 21st Century United Kingdom Title! Before Dane Rowley passes out with excitement, Kevin Jones' music starts and we cut to the ring ready for the 1st Qualifying match.

PJirGdA.jpg vs ruUjH1X.jpg

Kevin Jones vs Bedlam

This is a match with HUGE implications, Bedlam struggled at Crisis Point after he lost to Daniel Black Francis whereas Kevin had a big win vs Wade Orson, a member of the Cornell Family! This match was a hard hitting affair with Bedlam hitting some huge strikes! However Kevin Jones is a heavyweight himself so can also hit hard. The finish comes as Bedlam is caught with a Belly to Belly Suplex and Kevin covers him for 1,2,3!

Winner: Kevin by pinfall

Rating: 82

PJirGdA.jpg

Kevin Jones collects a microphone and stands in the centre of the ring.

Kevin Jones: “I am the former United Kingdom World Title holder and I'm coming for my title...... Tommy doesn't respect the championship like I did..... so I'm going to win the match in 2 weeks time and then at Steel Cage Challenge I'm going to become a 3-time World champion”

I6ZfZBT.jpg

GvYiPQ8.jpgcwROp3x.jpg9gFVs6v.jpg

Next we cut backstage to find Tommy Cornell & Wade Orson in Jeff Nova's office. They're complaining to Jeff that Wade shout get a chance if Kevin does. Jeff disagrees and reminds them that Kevin beat Wade in the middle of the ring at Crisis Point.... but Jeff carries on to say he's got an idea.

Jeff Nova: “Wade, I will grant you an opportunity to get into the No.1 Contender's match in 2 weeks time as I've just had someone else in here also asking for a chance to be in that match..... So to determine who will face Dark Angel next week for a place in the No.1 Contender's match you will fight..... Leigh Burton..... right now!”

I6ZfZBT.jpg

vvRTs1S.jpgdMCFLLu.jpg

Leigh Burton's music comes on first and he looks happy as he strides to the ring. But as Leigh is waiting for Wade Orson to come out he is jumped in the ring by Edward Cornell! Edward strikes Leigh hard on the mat pounding away at him until Rolling Johnny Stones' music hits.

GJnOkMW.jpg

Rolling comes charging down to the ring and Edward is quick to get out of there! He slides out the ring and jumps over the barrier through the crowd. Rolling gives chase and we see him run Edward right out of the arena.

GvYiPQ8.jpgcwROp3x.jpg

Tommy & Wade now come out and see Leigh hurt in the middle of the ring. As they walk towards the ring Tommy is smirking, clearly happy about what's just happened.

vvRTs1S.jpg vs cwROp3x.jpg w/ GvYiPQ8.jpg

Leigh Burton vs Wade Orson w/ Tommy Cornell

Leigh Burton shows some heart by carrying on with this match after the ref told him he didn't have to. Leigh gets some good hits in on Wade but he has clearly injured his ribs and Wade targets them. Eventually Wade hits Leigh right on the side with a drop kick which has Leigh holding his ribs in the middle of the ring. This allows Wade to hit his “Bounce Back” (clothes line off the ropes) finisher and pin Leigh for the win.

Winner: Wade Orson by pinfall

Rating: 75

Wade has now earnt a match next week against Dark Angel where the winner will be an entrant to the fatal 5-way match!

As we come back from commercial we've moved onto tag team action and have The Defence Force (DJ Reason & Pit Bull Brown) in the ring.

DJ Reason: “Last Saturday we were moments away from beating Project Mayhem and taking the titles off them.... So tonight we want a rematch,.... myself & Pit Bull Brown are ready! Are you?”

dvWEt9o.jpgCzMFMYp.jpgvbsQeCy.jpgDGWweTy.jpg

As DJ & Pit get ready to fight, we don't get Project Mayhem's music but instead we get The Iron Curtain's (Viktor Beskov, Yuri Iliakov, Igor Ivanoff & Ivan Ivanoff). DJ & Pit look confused but again ready themselves as The Iron Curtain surround the ring. Realising the situation is precarious, Pit strikes first by charging at Yuri knocking him off the apron. Just as Igor & Ivan are about to enter the ring we hear Jeff Nova from the stage.

9gFVs6v.jpg

Jeff Nova: “Stop this, stop this!.... DJ & Pit, you don't make matches around here. I do...... So tonight you won't be facing Project Mayhem..... but also Viktor you can't just come out here and attack everyone...... So instead it'll be DJ & Pit vs Igor & Ivan..... with Viktor & Yuri banned from ringside!”

Before Viktor can protest, Jeff has gone. Viktor then picks Yuri up, shouts some last minute instructions to Igor & Ivan and we have our match.

1YsQ0RF.jpg & n9aIoJz.jpgvs vbsQeCy.jpg & DGWweTy.jpg

The Defence Force (DJ Reason & Pit Bull Brown) vs The Ivanoff Brothers (Igor & Ivan Ivanoff)

Both these tag teams are experienced. With DJ & Pit tagging in 21CW since August 2007 and Igor & Ivan since 2006. However their momentum right now couldn't be more different! DJ & Pit are on a roll which took them within inches of winning the 21CW tag team titles and Igor & Ivan haven't won since September. The result therefore was a foregone conclusion and ends when DJ hits Igor with an Edge of Reason (Spear) to pick up the win!

Winner: The Defence Force by pinfall

Rating: 79

1YsQ0RF.jpgn9aIoJz.jpgdvWEt9o.jpgCzMFMYp.jpgvbsQeCy.jpgDGWweTy.jpg

After the match, Yuri & Viktor come running down to the ring to attack DJ & Pit. Again Pit Bull Brown strikes first by hitting his Dog House Piledriver on Ivan Ivanoff to leave him flat in the ring alongside his brother Igor. But by this point Yuri & Viktor have already beaten down DJ & rolled him out the ring.

r04swZ5.jpgYH9oMOC.jpg

As Yuri & Viktor look to attack Pit he gets some backup in the form of Lance & Kelly Martin (Absolutely Flawless) [who have been feuding with The Iron Curtain throughout December]. As Lance & Kelly get into the ring, Viktor & Yuri slide out of the ring and start shouting at Lance & Kelly from the announcing area.

x7UJic2.jpgaK71g9W.jpgEaGdffb.jpg

Now the action wasn't done there. Project Mayhem's music hit and out comes Harry “The Anarchist” Wilson and War Machine with their manager Cliff King. Viktor & Yuri instantly jump the barrier and leave. Cliff orders Harry & War Machine to attack and they charge towards the teams left. With DJ hurt and Pit having just wrestled a match, Lance & Kelly want no part in this so they jump out the ring to help Pit pick up DJ. They all jump the barrier just as Harry gets to them and leave. Frustrated Harry & War Machine just have to deal with what they have.... Poor Ivan & Igor who were just recovering in the ring, arise to Harry & War Machine standing over them. Ivan tries to escape but War Machine gets hold off him and hits a vicious choke bomb. Harry has trapped Igor & only releases him once War Machine has hold off him where War Machine then hits another choke bomb on Igor.

The announcers comment on the destructive power of Project Mayhem and how they cause mayhem wherever they go!

GJnOkMW.jpgvs dMCFLLu.jpg w/ GvYiPQ8.jpg

Rolling Johnny Stones vs Edward Cornell w/ Tommy Cornell

Finally it's Main Event time. We have Edward Cornell vs Rolling Johnny Stones. Earlier in the night, Edward attacked fellow family member Wade Orson's opponent Leigh Burton. During this attack, Rolling made the save and chased Edward out of the ring. Now they face each other 1 on 1 for a coveted spot in the fatal 5-way.

This match starts with a bang when, with Edward Cornell already in the ring, Rolling Johnny Stones comes running down to the ring and takes the fight to Edward. Edward rolls out the ring to get a breather and a pep talk from Tommy Cornell, who has joined Edward at ringside. Rolling carries on his domination throughout the match and has Edward set up ready to hit a brainbuster when Tommy gets up on the ring curtain and starts shouting at Rolling! Rolling charges at Tommy knocking him off the apron! But this gives Edward the chance to recover and throw Rolling at the ring ropes where he bounces off right into Edward's Black Lightning Bomb (Pop-Up Power Bomb)!

Winner: Edward Cornell via pinfall

Rating: 87

I6ZfZBT.jpg

Results:

Jonathan & Stevie defeated Ricky & Sifu

Kevin defeated Bedlam

Wade defeated Leigh

DJ & Pit defeated Igor & Ivan

Edward defeated Rolling

Hi All,

My name is Vinners and I have been a long time reader of the TEW dynasty boards but this is the first time I've decided to write a diary. I've thought about it for a while and I guess the new year felt like as good a time as any to start.

I struggled for a while for what I wanted to write about as I have this 21CW save that I'm really enjoying but felt that for a diary I should start again with a save. However I couldn't choose a company as most have been done and I was going to struggle for original storylines. So instead I thought I'd carry on with 21CW having already gone through the storylines and then I can start my own! Hence this diary starting one year on.

On that note, I'd like to point out that there are some similarities between this diary and The Lloyd's Land of Champions diary since that diary was the inspiration for my save (along with being from the UK myself). So as you've seen I also have “The Iron Curtain” and I also had Wade Orson become part of The Cornell Family along with some others I may have forgotten. I have sent him a message and he has given me his permission to use the overlapping ideas in this diary.

Any feedback is appreciated including storyline ideas, writing style/layout etc. Please also let me know if there's any background information you want to be caught up on.

The results from Crisis Point are here:

Results:

Hot Stuff defeated The Faust & The Furious

Kevin Jones defeated Wade Orson

Edward Cornell defeated Leigh Burton

Project Mayhem defeated The Defence Force to retain the 21st Century Tag Team Championships

Dark Angel defeated Sebastian Koller

Daniel Black Francis defeated Bedlam

Tommy Cornell defeated Adam Matravers to retain the 21st Century World Championship

I thought about writing it as a show but without the story beforehand results wouldn't have been impactful. I'm hoping I'll remember to fill you in on the history of big moments when they happen.

<p>Not sure if I'll do as a prize for these, but mostly want to use them as feedback for my booking. <em>Thanks for the kind words. Always nice to know I've inspired someone to start a diary of their own, and you certainly have my support. My 21CW diary ended a LOT sooner than I wanted it to due to laptop issues. I think I had written out a fair few full shows when I had to end it, as well as planned a few months worth out! Please push J-B Cash and Buff Martinez! I love those guys!</em></p>

Wade is no ordinary 6 year pro though, he is a future star of 21CW and has the wrestling skills to match. They take it to the mat and the action is fast! Stevie & Dane struggle to follow the action due to the sheer amount of reversals and counters that occur. He's got 2 Tag Team title reigns and 2 United Kingdom title reigns under his belt, but he's never won the World Title. He really takes the fight to Tommy Cornell in this match but Tommy Cornell isn't the former #1 wrestler in the World for nothing! [Currently only #79] He's a 6 time TCW World Heavyweight title holder and there's a reason he's 21CW World Title champion. Rolling is wild in this match, desperately trying to wear Tommy down to hit his brainbuster! But Tommy is wily and everytime he's struggling he rolls himself out the ring giving himself a 10 second break. Tommy is in firm control of this match and when Rolling charges at him, Tommy hits his Guilt Trip (lariat) and pins Rolling Johnny Stones!</p><p> </p><p> Winner: Tommy Cornell via pinfall</p><p> Rating: 83</p><p> </p><p> </p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> <img alt="I6ZfZBT.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/I6ZfZBT.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> <img alt="nAAiy5P.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/nAAiy5P.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="S1FskI3.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/S1FskI3.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> Steve Smith: “I hope Rolling is okay! And I hope Buff, Dark Angel & Edward were just watching that match. Tommy Cornell looked excellent tonight and you want to avoid that finisher of his as it's hard to kick out of! Just look at Luke Cool & Adam Matravers... we haven't heard from either of them since they were hit by that move...” </p><p> </p><p> Dane Rowley: “I doubt Edward has to worry about it... if he wins I'm not even convinced we'll have a match at Steel Cage Challenge!”</p><p> </p><p> Next up we have our final qualifying match for the No.1 Contender's match for Tommy Cornell's title. Daniel Black Francis overcame Bedlam whereas Sebastian Koller lost to Dark Angel. This is a very open match between the two of them until Daniel Black Francis throws Seb hard into the corner. Seb calls for the ref claiming he is injured but whilst the ref is checking on him, Seb winks at Daniel suggesting he is faking the injury. This riles Daniel up who charges at Seb but is held back by the ref. Daniel turns away frustrated as the ref goes back to check on Seb. Suddenly Seb jumps up to run across the ring and drop kicks Daniel into the corner. This then sets Daniel up for Seb's Hamburg Rock City (Short-Armed Clothesline) and books Seb's place in the fatal 5-way!</p><p> </p><p> Winner: Sebastian Koller by pinfall</p><p> Rating: 79</p><p> </p><p> </p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> <img alt="I6ZfZBT.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/I6ZfZBT.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> <img alt="qrhpnnA.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/qrhpnnA.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="YXIZq6a.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/YXIZq6a.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> Next we get a video going through the story of J-B Cash vs Stevie Stoat. The story starts the week after Dangerous Alliances (September PPV) where Hot Stuff challenged The Faust & The Furious because Jonathan beatdown Dark Angel at the PPV. Hot Stuff's record versus The Faust & The Furious is currently 1 win, 1 draw & 1 loss but J-B Cash boasts a countout victory over Stevie Stoat and incase you've forgotten he pinned him for Hot Stuff's win at Crisis Point (December PPV)! Stevie Stoat though won the United Kingdom Title from Sebastian Koller back in June 2016. Since then he has defended the title successfully 10 times against the likes of Wade Orson, Leigh Burton & Kevin Jones! </p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="46304" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><p> <img alt="qrhpnnA.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/qrhpnnA.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> vs <img alt="YXIZq6a.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/YXIZq6a.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> w/ <img alt="9JEeK4b.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/9JEeK4b.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> J-B Cash vs Stevie Stoat © w/ Jonathan Faust for the 21st Century United Kingdom Championship</p><p> </p><p> J-B Cash & Stevie Stoat start with a lock up but Stevie Stoat quickly realises that J-B Cash is really fired up and much stronger. He backs off and J-B Cash stands in the middle of the ring beckoning Stevie Stoat to fight.</p><p> </p><p> Dane Rowley: “Wow, J-B Cash looks really confident out there.”</p><p> Steve Smith: “Well wouldn't you be Dane if your record against Stevie Stoat was as good as J-B Cash's?”</p><p> </p><p> From ringside Jonathan Faust shouts at Stevie to get stuck into his opponent and Stevie obliges. Stevie hits a shoulder tackle on J-B and starts to take control of the match. From here it's a hard hitting affair as both wrestlers brawl. Even though they're both about as good each other brawling, J-B has the edge when it comes to submissions and at one point he has Stevie in a submission so Jonathan jumps up on the apron to distract the ref. J-B breaks the hold to regain the ref's attention and when J-B turns around Stevie hits his finisher a superkick! Stevie pins J-B, 1, 2....kick out! Stevie is stunned that J-B's kicked out and he instantly pins him again but to no avail. The match continues with J-B on top and it carries on for a long time which causes both competitors to become exhausted. Stevie is in a worse shape and his fatigue sees him make a mistake allowing J-B to hit his finisher the “Cash Crash” (facebuster). Stevie is down out and J-B is making the pin... 1, 2.... No! Jonathan Faust breaks up the pin by jumping on J-B. The ref calls for the bell but this doesn't stop the action.</p><p> </p><p> Winner: J-B Cash by disqualification but still United Kingdom Champion Stevie Stoat.</p><p> Rating: 87</p><p> </p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> <img alt="lnNAoRB.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/lnNAoRB.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="qrhpnnA.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/qrhpnnA.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="YXIZq6a.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/YXIZq6a.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="9JEeK4b.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/9JEeK4b.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> Jonathan Faust keeps beating down J-B Cash and hits his “Devil Drop” (leg drop) on him just before we hear the music of Buff Martinez. Buff comes running down with a chair to make the save! Buff gets in the ring and starts hitting Jonathan over and over. J-B Cash recovers and helps Buff beatdown Jonathan. This ends with J-B Cash holding Jonathan in the corner with the chair positioned over his face, Buff then hits his “El K.O.” (superkick) to Jonathan's face. The show closes with Buff & J-B standing tall in the ring.</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="I6ZfZBT.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/I6ZfZBT.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> Results:</p><p> Dark defeated Wade</p><p> Phillip defeated Apollo</p><p> Lance & Kelly defeated Danny & Harley</p><p> Tommy defeated Rolling</p><p> Sebastian defeated Daniel</p><p> J-B Cash defeated Stevie</p>
