ink625 Posted February 24, 2019 Share Posted February 24, 2019 I'm starting a new tournament in my CZCW save for my developmental workers, with the winner receiving a main roster spot and a shot at the Television title. I'm having a little trouble deciding on the name for the tournament though and thought a poll here might help me make up my mind. Here are the names I'm choosing from, with some thoughts about each: Young Gun Cup - Kinda like it, kinda don't. Young Lion Cup - Like it in general, but not really sure I like it for an American company. Rising Star - The old tried and true. Rookie of the Year - Sounds more....credible? I don't know. New Kid on the Coast - Like this one a lot for the tie-in to the company name. Hate it a bit too though, because I just keep thinking of the New Kids on the Block boy band from the late 80s, early 90s. Eric LaMonica Memorial "Rising Star" Tournament - Eric LaMonica recently died in my game at 24 years old, after accidentally pulling the pin out of an antique grenade. I really like the realism of holding tribute shows and stuff in the game, but I've already got 2 tournament titles named after wrestlers, The Sam Keith Classic Tag Tournament and The Rip Chord Invitational, and a third seems a bit much. I really like the realism of holding tribute shows and stuff in the game, but I've already got 2 tournament titles named after wrestlers, The Sam Keith Classic Tag Tournament and The Rip Chord Invitational, and a third seems a bit much. Yeah, I agree that New Kid on the Coast fits CZCW pretty well. As far as my diary goes, I'm still plugging away at that same save and I'm now closing in on the halfway point of 2021. Even though he lost in the first round, I decided to bring him up anyway to team with my Al The Hillbilly regen, generated name Keith Varelans, who I've renamed Hillbilly Hank. For example, Rey Mystero Jr. died at 17 in my game. He was a rising Cruiser weight who just won the Lightweight Title.
