Did not realize you had a thread. This looks absolutely awesome and is my favorite sort of thread to read on here. I'll be actively following this for sure. I hope the transition to 20 isnt too shaky for you :)

Thanks man! I really appreciate it :)

Hope the transition went well. Though I don't actively follow the C-Verse, I love the presentation style you use and it makes me have a vested interest in the characters. Good luck with the new "year"

I hope so, too. I didn't do test runs yet, but i think it will be okay. The ratings and attendances will drop i think, but that's the way it is. Thank you for the compliment.

OWARI (Azumamaro Kita & Fujio Narahashi) © def. Muscle Theatre (Petr Novak & Matsudaira Morioka) (12m39s) when Narahashi used a Lariat on Morioka [70] (5th Defense)

- Not that explosive and fast like the last matches, OWARI had to work against very big and strong opponents in Muscle Theatre. They key to victory was to isolate Morioka and to target his mainstay. Morioka got hit with multiple offensive maneuvers and was pinned by Narahashi after hitting a Lariat.</blockquote>

Morimasa Kato © def. Hitomaro Suzuki (22m18s) with a Choke Sleeper [79] (1st Defense)

- The story between these two continues. Kato injured Suzuki's leg last year right before the White Canvas Trophy, so "Genius" had to pull out of the tournament. Suzuki turned the tables around today as he targeted Kato's leg and tried to injured him, too. Kato had big issues with Suzuki's more brutal antics, but survived multiple times via the ropes. Right before Suzuki was to lock in his Suzuki Lock, Kato countered into a Choke Sleeper for his first defense.

Azumamaro-Kita-1.pngFuji-Narahashi-1.png

The crowd rubs their eyes when the current Tag champions OWARI came down to the ring. Fujio Narahashi took a microfon and said that they're the best tag team in WCG history so far and they want to add singles gold, too. Narahashi, lost to Kato in last year's White Canvas Trophy razorclose, challenged Kato to a title match in Nagoya!

Backstage Comments

Morimasa Kato: "I told you all. Man, Suzuki is a tough bastard but i was the better man today. The Choke Sleeper is no fun, first Okamoto and now Suzuki - I though these two are the best man in WCG, huh?"

Stone Yoshikawa: "I beat two guys from different factions, so who's the next challenger? Hontai? Kenka? Doesn't matter. I'm going to fight everyone for this belt."

Fujio Narahashi & Azumamaro Kita: F: "You didn't expect that, huh? We're fighters, we want to fight for every prize possible." K: "Let me fight that american, right? OWARI will have four belts after the show in Nagoya."

PRESS CONFERENCE HIGHLIGHTS

morimisa-kato.pngGregGauge.pngAzumamaro-Kita-1.pngFuji-Narahashi-1.png

~ WCG World Champion Morimasa Kato said that Narahashi is a dangerous foe, but not on his level yet. Kato told us that he's aiming to submit Narahashi and then maybe issue a challenge for Narahashi's tag team titles.

~ Tag champ Fujio Narahashi isn't a man of many words. The bulky Fujio stated that he's honored to be a title challenger for the world belt so soon. He said his Lariat will be the difference maker.

~ WCG Intercontinental Champion Greg Gauge noted that he's got a good vacation in the United States and came to Japan not knowing that Azumamaro Kita will be his next challenger.

~ Azumamaro Kita said that he's eager for the upcoming singles belt title challenge. Further on he noted that he's going to be a tough opponent for arrogant Gauge.

"ROAD TO" SHOWS HIGHLIGHTS

JUNIOR HEAVYWEIGHT TOURNEY UNFOLDED: We saw two winning teams in Yokohama when Conner Threepwood & Konrad Mäkinen and the vets The Awesome Kiyaru & Golden Scorpion won their first round matches. So did two more teams; The mexican team of Silver Tiger & El Mítico Jr. lost their match with White Samurai & Isamu Kijimuta, while former WCG Junior Heavyweight champ Japanese Phoenix lost with Mercury their fight against the Kenka team of Kinji Akamatsu and Chess Maniac.

The last two should be one of the best teams in the tournament as their run continue with another victory. Akamatsu pinned Isamu Kijimuta to advance to the finals at EXCITING BATTLE. On the other side the former BHOTWG-team Golden Scorpion and Awesome Kiyaru overcame the tough Rogue Squad team of Konrad Mäkinen and Conner Threepwood. Your final is set: Kenka vs. Hontai, Akamatsu & Chess Maniac vs. Scorpion & Kiyaru.

"I CHALLENGE YOU!": After losing in the tournament semi finals for the inaugral Junior Tag Championship, White Samurai had his eyes on a bigger prize in his division. He pinned Stone Yoshikawa's teammate Stealth Z in a six man tag match and challenged the current Junior Heavyweight king to a title match in Nagoya, which Yoshikawa accepted. It's not only a match for a WCG title, it's a match between two mindsets: It's PGHW vs. BHOTWG!

- It was an intense fight between two former enemies. It was Pride vs. Burning every minute of the fight. They tried to beat each other up with popular moves by legends of PGHW & BHOTWG. Samurai went for a Kikkawa Lariat to rip Yoshikawa's head off, while Stone had the idea of doing Kitoaji's Armlock. Nevertheless Yoshikawa locked in his Ankle Lock to get V3.</blockquote>

- Gauge dodged the danger! Tag champ Azumamaro Kita tried to submit the current IC-champ with multiple holds, but was unable to get the job done. Gauge's great ring vision helped him a lot to save him via reaching the ropes. With a little help by stablemate Diaz, Gauge took over and got the win via submission.

Morimasa Kato © def. Fujio Narahashi (20m15s) with a Choke Sleeper [79] (2nd Defense)

- A brutal match with two strong machines. Both men attacked each others neck's multiple times to set up their respective finishing maneuver. Kato was aware of Narahashi's devastating Lariat, so he could duck the Lariat and immediatly grabbed Narahashi's neck to set up his Choke Sleeper. The tag champ fought with pride but had to tap out after nearly going senseless in that move.

Morimasa Kato: "I like to have some competition. Narahashi is a beast, did you see him run? He's so big and fast. I'm smarter, more experienced and the most dangerous foe here. Hotta? I saw your progress, you may deserve that shot. So be prepared."

Greg Gauge: "So Snow is next? I mean he's a good dude but not on my level. He should join us, you know? I think is full potential will be reached when he's a Rogue Squad gunner."

Stone Yoshikawa: "I don't know who's next. Phoenix maybe. He got a pin today in a tag match, right? Maybe i should grab me a partner and challenge for the Jr. tag belts? I could be the first Junior double crown champion."

- Finally Okamoto got his hands on Kada, who played a significant role in causing Okamoto his title back in August. The "Dreamcatcher" was fired up to finally got his hands on Kada and stormed into his nemesis before the bell. Kada however seeked his task with his dangerous submission tactics, but Okamotos flashy offensive was too much for him at the end. The much more inexperienced Dynamite Express got a bunch of good moments in here, but eventually failed to end the match when they had the majority in the ring. To be fair the Dynamite Express worked a really good match and did a great job in having a match of the night with the current champions. - It wasn't easy for Ray Snow to overcome Gauge's tactics. The bald man from Minnessota took a brutal beating, thus he fought like a lion. The champ took a Spinning Backfist out of nowhere, but was moved out of the ring by his ally Logan Diaz. Snow couldn't believe it, he hunted down Diaz, which was his mistake. Thanks for your love mate!

We're entering the final steps of TEW 16 booking, after the Tag League we're officially a TEW 2020 dynasty, so i'm pretty excited to move forward as fast as i can. Some things will definetly change when going into our third year in this diary and i'm really looking forward to it to be honest.

So what does it mean for the upcoming Tag League? I'm going to post only the tourney matches, so we will get faster through it. In the new year i won't do any fast forward shows anymore, and going back to the original plan of doing only taped shows.

Pretty stacked tag league. I remember really digging Pavel with BCG either in 13 or 16 so I hope he's able to find a good footing with your WCG and break away from the pack. Kato vs. Okamoto & Torii vs. Gauge are also great match-ups. It would be interesting if Okamoto lost his third encounter with Kato. Love Torii but not sure if Gauge will be getting his come uppance as champ just yet either.

Q: What do you expect from Sarumara at WCG's 2nd Anniversary show?</span></span></p><p><span style="font-family:Arial;"><span style="font-size:14px;"> </span></span></p><p><span style="font-family:Arial;"><span style="font-size:14px;">

T: I think he'll bring his A-game to the table. He's one of the toughest and most dangerous men this lockerroom has to offer. If you ask me, he's even better than Okamoto or Kato but too old in the meantime. I know he can choke me out or break my freakin' arm any second of the fight. I'm not the best technician but i can bring a fight to you and that's what i want.</span></span></p><p><span style="font-family:Arial;"><span style="font-size:14px;"> </span></span></p><p><span style="font-family:Arial;"><span style="font-size:14px;">

Q: Speaking of Kato, do you have your eyes on the WCG Heavyweight championship?</span></span></p><p><span style="font-family:Arial;"><span style="font-size:14px;"> </span></span></p><p><span style="font-family:Arial;"><span style="font-size:14px;">

T: Not yet. I have to say it's a big goal to win a singles title as soon as possible but i didn't chose White Canvas as my new home because i could win a title easily. I chose WCG because here are the best wrestler in Japan today.</span></span></p><p><span style="font-family:Arial;"><span style="font-size:14px;"> </span></span></p><p><span style="font-family:Arial;"><span style="font-size:14px;">

Q: Last one. What do you expect from the fans? Will they cheer for you or Sotatsu Sarumara?</span></span></p><p><span style="font-family:Arial;"><span style="font-size:14px;"> </span></span></p><p><span style="font-family:Arial;"><span style="font-size:14px;">

T: Tough one. Sarumara is a home grown man, but i'm more popular than him and i was in national television for years. I would say it's 50:50, right?</span></span></p><p><span style="font-family:Arial;"><span style="font-size:14px;"> </span></span></p><p><span style="font-family:Arial;"><span style="font-size:14px;">
