Since taking over head writing duties for the CPW, things have been fantastic. Considering the way that the previous writer left I was worried that I was about to get micromanaged into hell. However, since the night that Holden asked me to take the book and run with it early, I haven’t seen hide nor hair of him. Other than the occasional bump in when I’m giving him the script of the next show for final approval. Which got me to thinking that maybe the previous got tired of being blamed for everything that was going on because Holden wasn’t a part of any of it. I don’t know the more I thought about it the more I felt like I was slowly going insane. So it was a little refreshing as I was in my office working on the next set of scripts when he came in before the meeting that I had on the books with Chris Pressler.

“Mr. Danger, it’s been a while.” That’s was the start of the conversation and considering that it was kind of neutral in the tone I didn’t know if that was a good thing or a bad thing.

“It has been…” I said. “What can I do for you, Mr. Holden?”

“It’s not what you can do for me, but what I have been doing for you.” He said, and I had to take a moment to think about what he could mean by that. Considering that he hasn’t really done much on the creative side of things or the hiring side of things… I really didn’t see anything that he was doing for me.

“What’s the sir?” I asked, and I really expected him to try to claim that he was the mastermind behind some of the ideas that I came up that have really struck gold with the fans.

“The shows that you have been putting on have been good, but underwhelming to some fans.” He said, and I didn’t know if it was a good thing or a bad thing that he was reciting the review of the latest edition of Tradition that only drew in 1.56 in terms of the ratings. “Though that’s no fault of your own… I blame it on the talent not being as well-known as they could be.”

“Maybe, but with each successful show, we are rectifying that,” I said, almost a little defiant in tone at the implication that the talent wasn’t working hard enough to get over with the fans.

“They are, but I figured I would get them some help,” Holden said, and I didn’t know if I liked the sound of that. Would it be nice if he landed some big fish from a larger pond… yes, but the ramifications behind that could be enough to undo everything that I have been building up. “What do AAA, CPWE, CWO, CWE, DOA, DPW, and DUWS all have in common?”

“I don’t know sir, what do they have in common?” I asked, even though I had a little inkling what the answer was going to be.

“They all now have working agreements with us. Starting from today forward we can trade talent with all them and don’t have to worry about them poaching our talent.” He said, and that was good news because the fewer companies that were after our talent the better chance we have actually keeping homegrown stars.

“That’s awesome sir!” I made a mental note that I’ll need to familiarize myself with their rosters to know which stars I’ll want to utilize in the future.

“Don’t thank me yet, because in two weeks times Billy Sky, The Mega Bucks, Mac Kinney, and Aaron Dark will be at Tradition.” Holden was smug about the fact that he already called upon the other company’s roster, but I wasn’t happy. I didn’t have a chance to learn anything about them and now I was going to have to work them into a show against our talent? Seems I may not have been too far off with the micromanaging thought.

“I will get right on factoring them in the show.” If I had to hazard a guess my disdain for the situation I found myself in seeped out a little bit at the moment. However, luckily for me, it doesn’t seem like Mr. Holden caught it.

“Also I wanted to let you know the deals that made with Public Access Select for our Pay Per Views and The POP! Network for Tradition were accepted. Congratulations you managed to keep us on the air. Also, I’m looking into starting up a developmental company you mentioned to as well.” His tone was condescending which meant that I was wrong. He did catch it but was still on the high from his deal brokering and my negotiation skills to keep us on the air that he didn’t truly care. “Oh and I just wanted to let you know that through the website that I declared war against AWF.”

“Wait for what?” I didn’t have a chance to get the words out of my mouth before he had exited my office. I couldn’t believe it after all the working deals that he made… he had to go and declare against the one company that could negate everything that we are trying to do. I was still so stunned by what happened I didn’t even hear the knock at my door.

“You wanted to see me?” Said Chris Pressler, as he entered into my office. The sound of his voice was enough to snap me back to reality because I did want to see him.

“Yes, yes I did. Come in and have a seat.” I said, as I stood a little bit and motioned for him to take a seat in the chair that is across me in front of my desk.

“Is this about the ideas I submitted?” He asked, and for a moment I didn’t know what he was talking about, but then I remember at the last edition of Tradition he did give a packet of papers to look over with a couple of ideas held within them. At the moment I told him that I would take a look at them, but if I was honest with him I’d have to tell him that I hadn’t read a single word of it yet. So I just smiled at him and I couldn’t believe this man that mediocre at best in the ring, but has risen to the top purely on his looks and his friends was aware enough that he was approaching his expiration date and that he is starting to look towards life after the ring.

“I’m still reading through some of them, but they show promise,” I said, deciding it was best to lie, but with a sliver of truth behind it.

“Then what did you need to see me about?” Chris asked, skipping asking me what I thought what I had read to get to the point of the matter.

“Have you watched any of Tradition this last couple of weeks? Or read any of the reports?” I asked, and Chris gave me that look that most people give me when I ask them something they don’t under. You know the one… the one where it looks like I just grew another chin right in front of them.

“No… can’t say that I have.” He answered, and I couldn’t believe it. How could someone that was in the main event scene of the company not pay attention to the shows in the slightest? “If I’m not shooting the shit with Rick, Mike, and Ryan… I’m on the phone with my wife, Faith, and our son Riley. As far as the reports… don’t read them. One man can only take so many ‘oh he’s only in the main event, because of who is friends are.”

“Fair enough,” I said, and he was right about that… which makes this next moment a little awkward, but at the time it was one that needed to happen. Very stealth like I push the intercom button on my desk twice to signal my assistant to send in the second guest for this meeting. It only took thirty seconds before the person was the door and said:

“Dad!” The voice belonged to Cristina Gardner, who most people didn’t know what Chris’ estranged daughter from a previous relationship before his current one with his wife. He was just a high school senior that got his girlfriend pregnant on Prom night before leaving to trying to become famous in MMA. He never knew that he had a daughter until years later when she started to train at his father’s training camp.

“Crissy?” He said as he turned around to come face to face with his daughter.

“Yeah.” Cristina just nodded her head as Chris stood up from the chair and headed over towards her to give her a hug. It was a tender moment to reunite the father and daughter like this at the moment, but after the euphoria wore off I started to wonder if I made a mistake. Having the both of them on the roster with what he already goes through with his relationship with the Youngs? Now I add his daughter into the mix just after announcing the return of the Women’s title… I messed up.

CPW Thursday Night Tradition

Friday, October, Week 1, 2018

Shakeshaft Auditorium

Attendance: 3,964

This edition of Tradition starts off with a rare appearance of Rick Holden in the ring. He talks about how things are getting a little out of hand as far as The Inner Circle and The Unlikely Allies are concerned. He says that he’s tired of it making a mockery on the CPW World championship. He goes on that seeing as everyone involved wants to shoot off like a bullet out of a game at CPW Beat down they ware going to have the first ever CPW Revolver Chamber (Elimination Chamber). Two mean will start the match, but at random intervals the others will be released in to the match. So Rick Young is going to be defending against his brother, Adrian Hurst, Ron Caster, and his buddies Ryan Singer, and Chris Pressler.

In a decent match, The Skullcrushers defeated The Warpspeed Cavalry in 11:35 when Steve Collins defeated Bucky Cohen by pinfall with a Hellbound.

Winner: The Skull Crushers

Cutting the backstage we see the CPW’s final Women’s champion and the woman that is currently in possession of the title belt. She’s in the process of shining the title up when she is approach by someone. She looks up and expects to be attacked in a blindside ambush, but the only thing that she is ambushed with is a hug from the person that walked up to her. The camera pulls away a little bit to reveal the other person as Patience. There is a little bit of small talk before Patience tells her auntie to keep the title warm for her, because she’s going to winning the battle royal for it.

Winner: Rick Young

Rating: C 59

In a backstage interview, Castle talks about why he left Mike Young high and dry at How The Mighty Fall. It was just a case of simple hatred for the younger Young sibling and his entire family. He goes on to say that he’d do it again, because he rather lose a millions than win once with a Young as his tag team partner. So it was very liberating when he dropped Mike last week and that he can’t wait to do it again tonight on his climb back to the CPW World title!

In a decent match, The Heartbreakers defeated The Coney Island Boys in 9:51 when Casanova defeated Peiro Medici by pinfall with a Call Of Love.

Winner: The Heartbreakers

Rating: C 64

In The Unlikely Allies locker room, Mike Young is seen getting ready for his match when Adrian Hurst approaches him. Mike quickly takes a defensive posture considering that he’s already had one of his ‘friends’ turn against him. Hurst tries to calm Mike down saying that it’s unforgiveable what Castle did to him, because it only hurts their chances of ending the Inner Circle once and for all. Mike agrees as he starts to loosen a little bit, but he doesn’t stay loose for long as they both tense up when speak of the devils, The Inner Circle, Rick, Ryan Singer, and Chris Pressler enter the locker room. Rick looks at his brother’s in arm and says it was laughable to think that the Unlikely Allies had a chance to take them down when they were a solid team, but now that they are splintered it’s ludicrous to think they can topple them. So no matter what happens in this Revolver Chamber match won’t mean a thing, because they know what’s best for the CPW.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

I hate to say it, but since I have been with the CPW these last couple of weeks I have come to loathe the AWF from all the stories that I have heard from the guys. So I decided to do something stupid and that was to have some teamsters and security personal hand out Anti-AWF signs throughout the Auditorium last night. Did not go as how I envisioned it, because the vast majority of the fans refused to take them and some even had pro-AWF signs instead. Needless to say the bush league attempt that I made to attack our ‘rivals’ has become an internet meme with people once again poking fun at us instead.

While the attendance wasn’t another sell out night at the Shakeshaft Auditorium, but we still drew a respectable amount with 3,964 fans turning up. Not only that, but feedback as far as the actually show has been great. The guys really did a great job of earning the praises of the fans despite the fact that I nearly took away from it with my antics.

The injured Adrian Hurst emailed this time about, E.S. Cormier, saying that he has poor ring psychology and that I should think about terminating his employement. Only if he knew that E.S. was Rick’s son… he’d know that never fly. However, I couldn’t think about right now, because I had to deal with the ratings taking another dip down to 1.46.

Not to mention the fact that my masterful Main Event and potential golden storyline were flushed down the crapper last night. Hurst with his injury was said as to be out for the next five months and three weeks, but he insisted on having surgery to speed things up a little bit. Surprise, surprise things didn’t go well for him and will be out by the doctor’s current estimation of six months and three weeks.

Now to my biggest regret, Castle was intent on just letting his injury heal naturally, but I thought that it would be best that he go under the knife due to the severity of his injury and the fact that he was going to be out for over thirteen months. As with Hurst the surgery went poorly and now he will be about fifteen months and three weeks.

So now I have to find some kind of replacements for both men in the match, but who could fit the bill? Not only that, but join the ranks of the main event? And who am I going to get to fill in their lower spots on the card… this is going to be me my first true test of ability to hire wrestlers. Luckily, one of the spots were technically filled, because just before the show Cadmus Rhodes signed a new deal to return to the company after the lapse in his contract. However, he won’t be back for a little bit longer, because he surprisingly enough decided to go on a vacation after resigning with the company. So I fire up my computer and take a look at the short… short list of guys that I have been following…

Tony Johns, Jonathan Hale, Johnny Cordola, Grayson Royce, and C.J. Hunter are just some of the first names to make it on the list. I whipped up some proposal letters and sent them off to each man. Hopefully, I hear something back from them soon. In the meantime it looks like Holden’s pre-arraigned talent loans were going to come in handy next week, because it’s going to hide the holes in our roster a little bit.

With that said, I sent the run sheet out to the boys and girls of the roster and to the various companies who are lending us talent for the night.

First off I'd like to chalk my win up to luck and the fact that CPW is my favoite promotion in he londonverse :D . As far as the narrative... who better than the Icon, the Superstar, the Living Legend himself ADRIAN HURST! On a side note if Adrian didn't get hurt I would have been clamoring for a world title run.

Jennie Wonder, Mara Bell, & Wicked Storm

??? [Never bet against ???]

The Heartbreakes

Lucas Fernion [i'm not a fan but he seems like he's the future of CPW]

Sam Wyatt & ??? [sam is fairly high up the card or at least he should be and ???, yes]

Shannon Thompson

Chris Pressler [He's apart of the greatest faction in CPW and he's talented on his own]

 • 3 months later...

First off I want to say sorry for just dropping out of sight all of the sudden. Have had a lot of stuff going on to where I couldn't finish things up for a while and then when I did have the time... well I goofed up and deleted the diary from computer. Which as you can guess that demoralized me a lot to where I didn't have the motivation to retype everything, but that has changed again. I'm ready to go again, but instead of picking up where we were... I'm going to used the game to give you the quick dirty recap of several shows to get things going again while I rework the first page.

Okay I sort of changed my mind... as much as I want to do the special show for Cracked... I hit a wall while doing so... so here is the quick results from the match and I will wait to do the special show when I'm not having to go back and forth from the game. This will probably also be my last post for a while as Cracked was the last of the shows I had pre-played.... So I'm going to pre-play a couple more months... which hopefully I have some better luck, because right now it sucks... The Castle and Hurst injuries hurt a lot of what I had planned, Jasmine's pregnancy screwed my Women's title picture, and at Cracked bad luck continued... Kaz Naguchi and Rick Young were both injured. Naguchi like Castle and Hurst is out over a year, but some luck as far as Rick he'll only be out a couple of months.
