Antonio Inoki might be his rival and Jumbo Tsuruta was his protege, but Tenryu was a major thorn in his side business-speaking in OTL and this would be the sort of match that would make Tenryu a bigger heel in AJPW and maybe even push him past Jumbo Tsuruta as a top act.
