*Update v1.5*

-Realized not every WWE talent was that was yet to debut came packaged with their WWE alter ego and corrected it (Paige, Bayley, Emma, Sasha)

-Moved Victory Road to TNA's April PPV as both VR and Lockdown were scheduled on the 2nd Sunday in March

-Minor optimizations and improvements

*Update v1.4*

-Just Some Minor Optimizations and Additions

-Now Using Mediafire Per Request

-Added an August 2010 Version With Some Basic Adjustments To WWE, NXT, WCW, ECW, and TNA rosters (will breakdown in comments)

*Update v1.3*

-Massively updated workers in every area except Japan and Mexico.

-New Bios and handset stats for most active workers in USA, British Isles, Canada, & Europe. *Bios courtesy Pro-wrestling Fandom.*

-Filled in more rosters of minor promotions in those areas.

-Identified and deleted a dozen or so duplicate workers (database had them under multiple names).

-Improved stats for AJPW's active worker roster.

-Added more custom "go-to" angles.

-Lowered the runtime for WWE and WCW "A" shows from 3 to 2 hours.

*Update v1.2*

-Added Terri Poch (Tori) and Kara Drew (Cherry) to WWE's main roster.

-Increased the size of ECW to cult level and changed the roster's contracts from PPA to written (this was done to preserve the indy promotions from being flooded with ECW talent).

-Moved a handful of WCW talent to ECW to compensate for the bigger size. WCW had talent to spare.

-Optimized Australia's promotions and workers (both AUS promotions have a workable roster and all talent stats set individually by hand as well as debut dates moved up).

-More bios and movesets added (courtesy of pro-wrestling fandom and wikipedia).

-Added a number of "go to" custom angles at the top of the angle list.

-Optimized a number of other workers.

-A number of celebrity tag teams were added based off of shows/movies they appeared in together.

*JUST A SMALL UPDATE: v1.1*

-Lowered popularity and stats of much of the top WWE and WCW talent. I didn't like the AI booking in the 85-90 range off the bat.

-Adjusted the user character pool. Now includes popular male and female non-wrestling personalities.

This is an advanced and far superior version to the Women's Revolution 2007 mod I released 18 months ago. I'll list the features in bullet point fashion.

-2007 was chosen because it's a bit of a sweet spot that allows us to use the previous generations workers while anticipating today's workers. WWE for instance includes Chyna, Sable, Ivory, Madusa, ect. as active wrestlers.

-2046 workers, 1152 active workers, 38 companies, 26 active companies

-This is a fantasy mod loosely based on reality using real life companies and real life workers.

-Over 125 female celebrities have been included in the database as active workers.

-Most recognizable stars of today that had yet to debut in 2007 have had their debut dates moved up to be active at the start of the game as long as they are 18.

-Those yet to debut due to being under 18 have their debut date set to their 18th birthday "month."

-This makes for interesting roster combinations as workers that never worked in the same era or time frame will be on active rosters together.

-WWE's roster consists of women who worked for the company by 2007, the last of which being the diva search contestants from 05-07. They have 74 workers, 45 of which are active wrestlers.

-NXT is in the game with roughly 30 wrestlers under developmental deals. These workers consist of real-life WWE talent that had yet to debut by 2007 but were at least of the age of 18. Basically from AJ Lee/Kaitlyn on down. So AJ, Becky, Charlotte, Asuka, Nia, Kaitlyn, Naomi, ect. all start under developmental deals with NXT.

-WWE has a dojo (The Performance Center) with 33 graduates consisting of talent that has been under contract with them in real life but has yet to debut in the game world by 2007. This functions as a filter to allow the WWE to bring them into the fold in this database as well and subsequently puts pressure on the AI to release current talent to make room.

-Between wrestlers currently under contract, developmental deals, or impending dojo graduates, the WWE has around 110 talents they get first crack at.

-This obviously means wrestlers with established indy careers that eventually made their way to WWE will not be present in the game world prior to beginning their WWE career in this database. Becky Lynch, Paige, Bayley, ect.

-WCW has been brought back and included in this installment. Hogan is the owner and he's brought his pal Bischoff in to be the head booker. WCW is now called Women's Championship Wrestling and it's roster consists of big screen actresses and high-profile pop stars. They have star power to rival the WWE right from the get go and a larger roster to pull from. they begin with 55 active wrestlers in total. They are located in the south-west instead of the south-east.

-The WCW powerplant has made a return as well. This functions as WCW's dojo to properly filter yet-to-debut high-profile celebrities into WCW first. Similar to how the performance center does the same thing for the WWE.

-The powerplant graduates debut with popularity, some of them incredibly high popularity. This is done to simulate their name recognition before entering wrestling. WWE has an advantage in that they have a number of veterans with better skills and a developmental territory at the start of the game. WCW gets immediate and abundant popularity from their new talent.

-TNA's roster consists primarily of the talent they had up to and around the formation of the knockouts division in 2007. I extended this into the talent they aquired in 2008 to beef up their roster a bit. Gail, Jacqueline, Jackie Gayda, Christy Hemme, and Shelly Martinez are here instead of with WWE because that's where they were in 2007 and most of them (besides Jacqueline) enjoyed more prominent careers in TNA than WWE. Whereas Mickie James, Taryn Terrell, Brooke Adams, Katarina Leigh, Victoria/Tara, and Maria all joined and became TNA knockouts champion in 2009 or later. Thus it made more sense to begin them with WWE. If you want to simulate their move to TNA just go set their contracts to one day when you're ready and WWE won't be able to resign them.

-ECW has returned and Paul Heyman is once again at the helm. Their roster consists of small-screen actresses that have never been able to break through in Hollywood. Thus they're more willing to go to the "extreme" to get noticed than their more established counterparts in WCW. WWE and ECW have a non-aggression pact to keep the WWE from plundering their roster as they're the first in this list to use PPA contracts. WCW however, can plunder at will. Something Eric Bischoff is well known for doing.

-ECW has a dojo as well entitled ECW Fight Club that functions as a filter for small-screen actresses and lesser known celebrities that have yet to debut.

-All romantic relationships have been wiped. This is done to prevent pregnancy sidelining a crucial member of your roster in the early game. As the game advances, relationships will form organically and pregnancies will occur.

-All Titles are vacant. This is a clean slate. The Wrestling world has hit the reset button and began anew with women. Only vague memories remain of the wrestling community prior to 2007.

-All talent in the above mentioned promotions come complete with movesets and gimmicks assigned to remove the early game hassle.

-Each of the above mentioned companies (with the exception of ECW) start with some active storylines. This was done to minimize the amount of early game legwork needed to advance to booking shows. Obviously they can be deleted if you prefer but it will give you some direction and structure starting out.

-A handful of the other promotions have a small roster thrown together that tries to stay somewhat faithful to real life. Some of them have owners and head bookers assigned and some don't. The game sorts through most of it quite well early on.

-I didn't spend a lot of time working on Japan and Mexico as I have little knowledge and interest of the product there. I did however bring back AJPW and unretire a number of their top female stars from the turn of the century to headline their roster.

-I was generous in setting up skills. This was done to simulate the fact that there are no longer male workers to carry the card. Not everyone is a ring technician or a show stealer but all the talent for the major promotions are at least functional in the ring. They still maintain some variety and strengths/weaknesses but nobody will completely lost so long as you book reasonably to their abilities.

-I was somewhat generous with the popularity of the workers in the big two promotions. I want to hit the ground running with the Monday Night Wars. So this iteration is meant to be played more as a sandbox rather than a grind against a heavy challenge.

-It is my intention to release a second version of the mod with depressed stats and popularity for those interested in the mod but who also want to enjoy a steep challenge.

-I don't have an exhaustive knowledge of all things wrestling. At best I'm barely more than a casual fan and haven't paid attention to much of the industry for the past decade. So if you disagree with something I did just change it. I'm making a mod I enjoy playing. I hope some of you enjoy it too.

-Variance is on. I simply don't have enough time to give the in-depth thought required for why person "a" needs to have 65 technical and 62 submission. I'll let the game do that for me.

-Men are in the game as non-wrestlers only. This was done because it was impractical to fill all the staffing needs with real life women only.

-Some women who are non-wrestlers in real life have been converted to active wrestlers in this database and been given baseline stats from which to work from. Why? Because I wanted to, that's why.

-Potential is set to random.

-The picture file is large. You have been forewarned. I use the KyKy background because it has the most expansive collection of wrestling cuts to draw from. There are around 2.5k custom cuts that I made myself consisting of both celebrities and wrestlers. The rest I've accumulated through the years from everyone that has contributed to the KyKy background. I'm sure some of TheWho's cuts are in there as well as some others. If you see something you think you made and you want recognition, please let me know and I'll edit you in. Some of these cuts are 15 years old because I've been playing since TEW 2005. Every celebrity has multiple cuts. Some have 50 or so to chose from.

-The database was originally a hodgepodge of various people's work used as a base. I then worked from there to tweak it into my own. I tried to upload as much of the default content as possible to avoid controversy. Due to the longevity at which I've worked on this mod and the amount of people I probably borrowed from to form a foundation for it, it's practically impossible to identify everybody who I originally imported work from. Thank you to all the mod makers for their hard work! Just putting this nonsense together gives me a healthy respect for what you guys do.

-I intend to continue work on this project going forward up to and through the release of TEW 2020, including all-new loading screens. I'm waiting to see if the loading screen for TEW 2020 is the same before continuing my work on that. Feel free to use anything here for any project of your own. I hope you enjoy this insanely absurd mod! I know I do!

<p>New 1.2 update is up. Australia promotions and talents are fully optimized with workable starting rosters and individually set stats.</p><p> </p><p>

I'm going to set the stats of active wrestlers region by region and fill the rosters of those region's promotions as I go. With 125 or so celebrities already I'd rather work on the quality of the actual workers already in the database over continuing to add more workers. I'm hoping to get a viable and vibrant independent environment working underneath all the major American promotions with 1-2 promotions of the cusp of going national in Mexico and Japan.</p>

  • 2 weeks later...

Update 1.3 is up. This one is just a deep dive into adding more diversity to the workers in the game already. I didn't add anymore custom celebrities with this game as I want a solid gaming experience if you don't use those workers as well. So playing as an indy or startup should be a much more unique and better experience now.

I've re-stated all active workers in USA, UK, Europe, Canada, and Australia now. Most of them have copied and pasted bios from pro-wrestling fandom included. Some have added movesets. All of them had their debut dates moved to their 18th birthday month.

The to-do list includes optimizing the active workers in Japan (214) and Mexico (82) and then to do the same for all non-wrestler workers as well. Scanning the pro-wrestling fandom site I saw a number of pictures that would make easy cuts so I may go through and make some fresh cuts for workers that could use them. I also want to go through the picture file I already have of KyKy worker pics and include any workers I find there in the database if I can get the bare minimum of who they were (active area, name, birthday, ect). I do want to continue to add celebrity workers as that's a fun little addition so if you have some suggestions or requests let me know. I'm not that engaged in culture so I usually don't know about someone until they're a massive star.

I would also like to add variants of this mod from later years. Perhaps one every two years. That way you can play with more current day workers right from the start. That may come sooner rather than later as it wouldn't be that hard or time consuming to do.

If someone requests it, I can also try to add a variant of the mod without the celebrity workers and promotions.

<p>Some minor adjustments were made here and there for version 1.4 of the 2007 mod. I still have some things to fix but I like where it's at. I discovered that a number of alter egos are missing while adjusting rosters for the 2010 version so I need to go back to the 2007 copy and fix that there too. </p><p> </p><p>

I chose August 2010 because by then Sasha, Paige, and Alexa are all active. So they start in NXT as well as a number of other workers who turn 18 between 2007 and 2010. I moved Mickie James, Victoria/Tara, Katarina/Winter, Brooke, and Taryn from WWE's roster to TNA's roster and added a few more to the TNA roster. I promoted AJ, Kaitlyn, Aksana, and Maxine to the WWE roster from NXT. WCW and ECW have added contracts for workers graduating their respective dojos between 2007-2010. Meaning many celebrities that were too young to be active in JAN 2007 are now active on day one of the AUG 2010 version. Their rosters are a bit bloated as a result so I'm interested to see how that changes things.</p><p> </p><p>

I hope everyone enjoys.</p>

Ok I don't mean to sound dumb here lol. So are there going to be two versions 2007 and 2010 or are you just going to merge this to be just 2010? Great work as usual <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

If you don't want to start in 2007 and gradually gain access to more of the performers of today then start in 2010. I specifically picked a timeframe where Paige, Sasha, Alexa, Peyton, and a handful of others would be 18 and debuted. So if you want to start with all of them in NXT choose 2010. Of course the flip to that is Trish, Lita, Torrie are all mid 30s and Chyna, Sable, Alundra, Ivory, ect are all well north of 40. So it's just basically down to preference of when you want to start. Do you want to play with icons of the 90s and 00s or start with more performers from the 10s and beyond?</p>
