Commercials that you hate

Those Secret commercials with Camila Mendes in them. Now don't get me wrong she looks amazing in that blue dress, but the song for the commercial is just terrible. I looked it up and the song is sung by Jessie Reyez (I have never heard of her).

When I listen to her sing I think to myself, "Is there anybody that could possibly think this chick's voice sounds good?" Pretty much what happens whenever I hear Yoko Ono sing.

<p>Not a big fan of political campaign ads. I always dread election year, because of the commercials. For one thing, I see a commercial where some random third party is just non-stop singing a guy's praises... and then the guy himself chimes in, and says: "I'm The Guy, and I approve this message."</p><p> </p><p>

Well, I would hope so. If someone was giving me a glowing recommendation, telling the whole wide world just how smurfy I was, I think I'd approve too.</p><p> </p><p>

The other thing is the attack ads. A whole commercial spent running down the rival candidate. Doesn't impress me. All it tells me is the other guy sucks. Doesn't even try to convince me the guy it's supposed to be advertising doesn't.</p><p> </p><p>

"O not so worthy opponent thinks THIS about this, thinks THAT about that, and most shockingly of all, once voted for Roman Reigns to be named Wrestler of the Year!!!! Do YOU really want a man like that representing you in office? Vote for Mr. Dink instead!</p><p> </p><p>

Just not a big fan of campaign ads, is all.</p><p> </p><p>

Yes! They come across as so exploitive. Any time I hear, "In these trying times...", I feel like yelling at the television.

Do I ever hear that. "In these trying times" is right up there with "hunker down" as far as phrases that send me scrambling for the next TV channel. You want to help "in these trying times"? Don't remind me the times are trying. Just offer your product as though it were any other time.

Oh I hear you on that and can add a gripe of my own about them. I live in Washington but most of the TV channels I get come out of Portland, Oregon so I get inundated with ads for people and issues that I can't vote on anyway.

On the other hand, the Geico commercial with the band RATT is hysterical.

The commercial never gets old.

Same with me I live in Rhode Island but I am about ten minutes from Massachusetts and all I see are commercials for their politicians.

Commercials exist?..

I don't watch any TV and I don't get ads online either. Nor do I listen to radio. Also even if I did, we have a lot less commercial breaks here than say in the US. You can clearly see a US based program by the amount of weird breaks in between the program and if they have to recap everything that just happened. :D

Well, there's a German commercial so most of you probably don't know the guy I'm talking about, but maybe some of you had the misfortune of hearing his weird songs on Jimmy Fallon :D (iirc the segment was called "I can't believe it's real" or something like that).

So here's a litte background: The guys name is H.P. Baxxter and he is part of a techno band called Scooter. They are known for rather, well, lets say simple lyrics. For example, one of their songs is called "How much is the fish" (which is the song Jimmy Fallon played on his show) and in another he does nothing but scream "Hyper, Hyper".

Anyways, nowadays he is the face of a commercial for an online casino. The laws regarding online gambling were changed this year in one state (basically as a test, probably won't take long until it's changed in the rest of the country), so these online gambling commercials are already everywhere. And H.P. Baxxter is already annoying af even if he's not singing, but now it feels like he's haunting me because everytime I turn on the TV I see his face screaming "Hyper Hyper" at me.
