Tony Schiavone and David Crockett welcome us to this week’s episode of World Championship Wrestling and hype this week’s show. We’ll see Rick Rude, the Malenkos, and Buddy Landel.

Rude controls the match from beginning to end and even when Ware gets a small amount of offense Rude powers through it and ends the match with his patented Rude Awakening.

WINNER BY PINFALL: RICK RUDE

Rick Rude joins David Crockett. Rude is very swarmy and brushes off Magnum T.A.’s talk last week. Rude says that he did what no man could do and he derailed the man everyone thought was untouchable. But the truth is Magnum has been weak, a paper champion, and he had it coming. He urges Magnum to step up because if he thinks he can get even for what happened, well….he’s got a Rude Awakening coming.

<b>THE MALENKOS W/JIMMY HART VS THE BATTENS</b>

The Malenkos are textbook in their tag work and Hart on the outside couldn’t be more annoying as his shrill voice pipes out of his megaphone. The Malenkos flow in and out of the ring with technical grace until Dean gets one of their opponents in the Texas Cloverleaf and Joe hits the running knee drop on the back of the neck. Like their earlier matches the referee has to call a stop to the match for the protection of Brad Batten.

WINNERS BY STOPPAGE: THE MALENKOS

<b>BUDDY LANDEL VS DENNY BROWN</b>

The former NWA Light Heavyweight Champion is back in JCP and Brown holds his own against Landel but when the referee isn’t looking the “Nature Boy” hits a low blow. From there it’s all Landel and when he locks on the Figure Four Brown has to submit.

WINNER BY SUBMISSION: BUDDY LANDEL

James J. Dillon and two of his men join Tony Schiavone. Dillon boasts how dominant his men are and how in just a few minutes they’ll make quick work of their opponents. Schiavone questions if Dillon is overlooking the opponents and Dillon just laughs more and says if either of his men are pinned they’ll leave Jim Crockett Promotions for good! They walk off to the ring still laughing.

<b>RON BASS AND BLACK BART VS THE MULKEYS</b>

As one might expect Bass and Bart dominate the match, seemingly taking pleasure in punishing either of the Mulkeys. Bart gets the tag and mocks Randy Mulkey who’s on the mat. Bart turns to gloat to Dillon when Mulkey suddenly rolls him up and the referee counts to three!

WINNERS BY PINFALL: THE MULKEYS

Dillon and Bass enter the ring as the Mulkeys head for safety. Bart is shocked and Dillon is pacing frantically. Dutch Mantell comes to the ring and the four of them try to make sense of what just happened when suddenly Mantell blasts Bart in the back Bass joins in as Dillon gets in cheap shots and they leave Bart laying in the ring as the show goes off the air.

Gordon Solie and Buddy Colt welcome us to this week’s episode of World Wide Wrestling. Not only do we have a new host but the set has been changed as well with both men seated on either side of an oval table and three large television screens behind them. They hype this week’s show. We’ll see Jim Duggan, Ivan Koloff, Rick Rude, the Rock and Roll Express, and a special interview with former NWA World Champion Harley Race. All this and more!

<b>JIM DUGGAN VS MIKE SHARPE</b>

Duggan is just a bull in a china shop and he rampages from the opening bell to the three count, overpowering Sharpe who himself is not a small or weak man. Duggan wears down Sharpe with a series of power moves, setting him up for a running clothesline in the corner which leads to the pin.

WINNER BY PINFALL: JIM DUGGAN

NWA Central States Champion Harley Race is seated between Solie and Colt. Race is displaying his championship belt on the table in front of him. Solie questions Race, with all due respect, if that title is even real anymore since Central States Wrestling no longer exists. Race in his normal gravely straight forward nature puts it plain. The title is real because it belongs to him and as long as he has breath in his body he will defend HIS championship against all deserving opponents. That is what it means to be a champion and when you look in the dictionary and look up the word champion you’ll find a picture of Harley Race.

<b>IVAN KOLOFF W/KRUSHER KHRUSCHEV VS JAY YOUNGBLOOD</b>

Koloff controls the match from beginning to end. Youngblood never even gets much of any offense in and when Koloff decides to end it it comes via a bear hug.

WINNER BY SUBMISSION: IVAN KOLOFF

<b>RICK RUDE VS JIM BRUNZELL</b>

Brunzell is a good wrestler but Rude Is really on his game. It doesn't take long for Rude to take control of the match and when Brunzell misses a standing dropkick Rude takes advantage and hits the Rude Awakening.

WINNER BY PINFALL: RICK RUDE

Rude is smugly posing in the ring following his victory when Magnum T.A. comes running down to the ring and slides in behind Rude. Without so much as a hello, Magnum pulls down Rude’s tights which appears on the television as a big black spot but the live crowd is finding it hilarious. Rude scampers up the aisle trying to protect his modesty as Magnum has a good laugh at Rude’s expense.

<b>THE ROCK AND ROLL EXPRESS VS RANDY ROSE AND DOUG SOMMERS</b>

Morton and Gibson show they are fully healthy and ready to rock and roll again. Rose and Sommers never pose any threat in this match and when they hit the double dropkick on Sommers all that's left is the 123.

WINNERS BY PINFALL: THE ROCK AND ROLL EXPRESS

Gibson and Morton celebrate their win but only for a moment as the Malenkos rush the ring. A four man brawl breaks out but its clear Joe and Dean are getting the worst of it and they decide retreat is the better part of valor. Gibson and Morton urge them to come back in and fight but the Brothers are having it none of it as the show ends.

<b>TULLY BLANCHARD W/BOBBY HEENAN VS JERRY STUBBS</b>

It’s all Blanchard to no one's surprise. Stubbs gets in zero offense but he does make Tully look good. Blanchard hits his usual maneuvers until he ends it with a slingshot suplex.

WINNER BY PINFALL: TULLY BLANCHARD

David Crockett is joined by Heenan and Blanchard and the Andersons come out for good measure. Heenan says that a good of men such as this can only enjoy a victory for so long before they seek another. The good news is the target remains the same...Dusty Rhodes. Heenan says he’s going to make it his mission in life to break Rhodes both physically and spiritually and with these three men it’ll happen just like that as he snaps his fingers.

<b>MAGNUM T.A. VS JESSE BARR</b>

Magnum plays defense for the early moments but when he feeds off the audience he makes his comeback. He whips Barr into the ropes before grabbing him and delivering a belly to belly for the win.

WINNER BY SOMEHOW: SOMEONE

<b>THE MIDNIGHT EXPRESS W/JIM CORNETTE VS OWEN HART AND PAUL DIAMOND</b>

A very good and surprisingly competitive match sees Hart and Diamond get a fair amount of offense in before Condrey and Eaton take over and eventually end the match with an Eaton leg drop off the rope.

WINNERS BY PINFALL: THE MIDNIGHT EXPRESS

Tony Schiavone is joined by Jim Cornette and his Midnight Express. He tells Tony to take a good look at his team because in April it will be the last time anyone sees them without gold around their waists. Everyone’s heard of the upcoming Crockett Cup and they know the prize...the new NWA United States Tag Team Championship. Well, those belts are reserved for Loverboy Dennis and Beautiful Bobby and when it’s all said he WILL be proven right...again.

<b>GINO HERNANDEZ VS SHAWN MICHAELS</b>

Michaels again impresses with his athleticism and skills but it’s Hernandez who controls most of a very good match. Hernandez sidesteps a cross body block and then hits the Deposit to end the match.

WINNER BY PINFALL: GINO HERNANDEZ

Hernandez barely has time to get his hand raised in victory before he is tackled from behind by Krusher Khruschev. The Koloffs aren’t far behind and the three russians begin to beat down the man who’d been meddling in their business. With Hernandez nearly out on his feet, Khruschev whips him towards Nikita who hits a devastating looking Russian Sickle. The three Russians stare down in a mix of anger and pride at what they’ve done as the show comes to an end.

We’ll see Jim Duggan versus Gentleman Chris Adams, along with Dr. Death Steve Williams, Dino Bravo versus Chavo Guererro and in the main event we’ll see Macho Man Randy Savage. All this and more!

<b>JIM DUGGAN VS CHRIS ADAMS</b>

A good match which sees Adams using his speed versus Duggan’s power. However when power finally catches speed it usually doesn’t end well. Duggan makes Adams pay with a series of clothes and bodyslams before hitting a running clothesline in the corner which puts Adams down for the three count.

WINNER BY PINFALL: JIM DUGGAN

We go to a pre taped promo by the Russians. Ivan is very proud of what they did to Gino Hernandez but they are not satisfied. No, they will crush Hernandez as the Soviet Union will crush the United States. They will not rest until the new American hero is ground to dust beneath their boot. And the first step will be next week. They challenge Hernandez to a match against Krusher Khruschev. If he is a coward like all Americans and does not show up they will understand.

<b>STEVE WILLIAMS VS JIM BRUNZELL</b>

Williams doesn’t even bother to wait for the bell to ring before he grabs Brunzell and begins delivering suplex after suplex. Brunzell tries to fight back but William’s strength is too much and he falls victim to the Ura nage.

WINNER BY PINFALL: STEVE WILLIAMS

<b>DINO BRAVO VS CHAVO GUERERRO</b>

The theme of the show seems to be might makes right and this match is no different. Bravo dominates Guererro from start to finish and ends it with a side slam.

WINNER BY PINFALL: DINO BRAVO

A vignette plays of a young couple in a car. The girl yells at the man that she said no and she exits the car leaving him behind. The irritated man drives off. She girl looks very upset but when she passes a bench a man, who hadn’t been there a moment before, with his back to the camera asks her what’s wrong. The girl says her boyfriend is putting a lot of pressure on her. The man asks if she loves him. She says she does but her mother tells her she has to wait. The man asks why she should wait when she’s in love. Love means more than anything, doesn’t it? She nods, unsure. Trust me, says the man. If you give him what he wants, you’ll never be happier.” Just then the car pulls up and the horn honks. The girl seemingly in a more confidant mood thanks the man and runs off towards the car.

The man turns around with a smile.

“It’s a story as old as the bible. Girl meets boy, girl falls in love, and girl learns the lesson the hard way. Trust me, it’ll all work out.”

<b>RANDY SAVAGE W/WOMAN VS TRACY SMOTHERS</b>

It’s all Savage as Smothers makes him look like a million bucks. Savage seems to be hitting offense from every angle in a wild flurry. On the outside the devilish Woman just smirks but she also looks like a jungle cat ready to pounce. Savage hits a double axe handle from the second rope before going to the top to deliver the big flying elbow for the win.

WINNER BY PINFALL: RANDY SAVAGE

To close the show, Solie and Colt welcome us back to Hot Rod’s.

The heels control the match and never give an inch. Youngblood and Blair bump around for them and take a beating until Kimala ends the match with a running splash.

WINNERS BY PINFALL: THE SPOILER AND KIMALA

Gary Hart demands to be given the microphone from the ring announcer. He says that the sun has almost set on the NWA and for Jim Crockett Promotions. And when it sets there will be darkness. The Spoiler and Kimala will bring pain and despair to all in their path and there isn’t a man who can stop them!

<b>DICK SLATER VS BRAD ARMSTRONG</b>

Armstrong puts up a little bit of a fight but Slater crushes his momentum and goes on the attack, working over Armstrong’s left shoulder for several minutes until he hits a running shoulder breaker for the win.

WINNER BY PINFALL: DICK SLATER

<b>THE MALENKOS W/JIMMY HART VS GENE PETIT AND GEORGE SOUTH</b>

Seamless tag work from the Malenkos who flow in and out of the ring with technical precision as Hart on the outside runs his mouth non stop. As they have for the last few months they earn a victory by stoppage when Joe hits a running knee drop on the back of the head of South who is in the Texas Cloverleaf.

WINNERS BY STOPPAGE: THE MALENKOS

Jimmy Hart and the Malenkos join Tony Schiavone at the desk. Hart is talking up his men when the crowd comes alive and the Rock and Roll Express walk out.

Ricky Morton says they haven’t forgotten what the Malenkos did to them in that ring. He says that he and Robert Gibson are tired of being ducked and tired of waiting so next week they will be in the ring and if the Malenkos have any guts they’ll show up for a fight. Hart moves his men away shouting ‘No way baby!’ but the brothers look like they’re up for it.

<b>RICKY STEAMBOAT © VS BOB ROOP</b>

The long time veteran, Roop opens the match in control and punishes Steamboat for the first half of the match but Ricky feeds off the crowd and makes a comeback. Steamboat stuns Roop with a series of martial arts strikes before running him ragged with a long flurry of offense. Steamboat climbs to the top and hits a flying cross body block for the win.

WINNER BY PINFALL AND STILL NWA TELEVISION CHAMPION: RICKY STEAMBOAT

David Crockett welcomes the NWA World Heavyweight Champion Dusty Rhodes. Dusty says that he turned on the TV and he saw the weasel Bobby Heenan and his three goons laughing it up about what they did to the American Dream. Well he’s standing here. Where’s the Andersons? Where’s Tully Blanchard? Come on out and look him in the face. After a few moments it’s clear that they won’t be coming out. Dusty tells Crockett he’ll be back next week as the show goes off the air.

Race is in firm control in this title defense and Cooley never poses any kind of threat. After grinding his opponent down for several minutes, Race hits a falling headbutt off the second rope for the win.

WINNER BY PINFALL: HARLEY RACE

A pre-taped promo by Rick Rude is shown. Rude is angry and says that Magnum T.A. just made the biggest mistake of his life. He thinks he can embarrass the Ravishing One but the one who will be embarrassed is going to be Magnum the next time Rude gets his hands on him. He warns Magnum that it’s hard to be a ladies man when you can’t walk!

<b>JIM DUGGAN VS STEVE WILLIAMS</b>

Two very strong men square off in this one and it’s clear that neither man is willing to budge. A series of shoulder blocks which shows no winner gives way to frustration as Williams pokes Duggan in the eye and when Duggan turns his back, Williams clotheslines him through the ropes. Williams follows to the outside but Duggan fights back. The two brawl around ringside until the referee reaches the ten count.

NO CONTEST (DOUBLE COUNT OUT)

<b>SAM HOUSTON VS RANDY ROSE</b>

Houston uses his youth and his speed to keep the advantage and Rose never gets any momentum. Houston hits his running bulldog for the win.

WINNER BY PINFALL: SAM HOUSTON

Krusher Khruschev walks to the ring first with the Soviet flag. He enters the ring and begins waving it in the air as the crowd boos but soon they’re cheering as Gino Hernandez comes down with the American flag waving it in the aisle. The battle lines are drawn as the referee calls for the bell.

<b>GINO HERNANDEZ VS KRUSHER KHRUSCHEV</b>

Khruschev punishes Hernandez for the first few minutes wearing down his back and finally slapping on a bear hug. Hernandez writhes in pain but he rings Krusher's bell with several right hands to get out of it. Khruschev charges him in the corner but eats a turnbuckle when Hernandez moves. Gino grasps his opportunity and goes to town on the Russian, staggering him with his offense and when he has a chance he hits the Deposit for the win.

WINNER BY PINFALL: GINO HERNANDEZ

Solie and Colt say they just received a message from the NWA World Tag Team Champions Ole and Arn Anderson. It seems the champions are in a mood for a fight and next week here on World Wide Wrestling they’ll hold an open challenge for their titles. We don’t know who will answer the challenge but if they want to take those titles they’ll have to bring their A game.

Dean releases the hold in the chaos as Jimmy Hart is losing his mind which draws the attention of the referee. Unseen by the referee Hart had dropped his megaphone in the ring and Dean picks it up and swings it at Gibson who ducks. When Dean finishes his full 360 degree turn, he’s hit with the double dropkick by Gibson and Morton. Then they ask Hawk to tell’em.

“Wellllllllll…..if you don’t believe us, keep your eyes open.”

The three men head to the ring for the opening match.

<b>THE ROAD WARRIORS W/PAUL ELLERING VS MIKE SHARPE AND DENNIS STAMP</b>

Oh boy, this one is quick and ugly. Hawk and Animal manhandle, demolish, and ragdoll Sharpe and Stamp for a few minutes until Animal puts Stamp up on his shoulders and Hawk flies off the top rope with a clothesline completely spinning Stamp in mid air. Animal makes the cover and it's a definite three count.

WINNERS BY PINFALL: THE ROAD WARRIORS

David Crockett is joined by Roddy Piper. Piper says next week on World Wide Wrestling he and Dirty Dick Slater have a very important announcement. Crockett asks if Piper can give any hints and Piper says absolutely. He then slaps Crockett so hard he has to catch himself on the desk to keep from falling down. Piper asks if he wants any more hints before walking off.

<b>RANDY SAVAGE W/WOMAN VS DENNY BROWN</b>

Brown is an accomplished wrestler and a former Light Heavyweight Champion but Savage is in firm control of this title defense. He uses high energy non stop attacks keeping Brown on the defense the whole match and when the referee isn’t looking Woman even gets in a good looking right hand. Savage ends the match with his big elbow drop off the top rope.

WINNER BY PINFALL AND STILL NWA UNITED STATES CHAMPION: RANDY SAVAGE

<b>THE SPOILER AND KIMALA W/GARY HART VS THE MULKEYS</b>

Continuing the show’s pattern of dominant wins, these two monsters destroy the Mulkeys for several minutes until the Spoiler applies the Iron Claw to Randy Mulkey as he’s laying flat on his back and Kimala runs over with a big splash for the 123.

WINNERS BY PINFALL: THE SPOILER AND KIMALA

Tony Schiavone calls Gary Hart and his men over to the desk area. Hart says that his men still thirst for blood and destruction. What they just did in that ring isn’t enough. And the blood they desire belongs to Wildfire Tommy Rich. So Tommy, get yourself a partner who isn’t afraid to end up in the hospital and meet the Army of Darkness on the field of battle right here next week. He promises he won’t feed either of his men until that match so they are sufficiently hungry.

<b>GINO HERNANDEZ VS IVAN KOLOFF WITH NIKITA KOLOFF</b>

A solid match between these two with Ivan trying to ground and grind down his younger and faster opponent. He slaps on the bear hug and Hernandez begins to fade but he fights back with the cheers of the crowd and breaks the hold. In the process the referee is knocked down. Nikita takes the opportunity to enter the ring with a steel chain. Ivan gets ahold of Gino again and sets him up for Nikita but when Nikita charges for a punch with the chain around his fist Gino moves and he clocks his uncle. Hernandez hits a standing dropkick to Nikita sending him to the outside and makes the cover. The referee stirs and counts a slow three count.

WINNER BY PINFALL: GINO HERNANDEZ

David Crockett for the third week welcomes the American Dream to the set. Dusty says everyone in America knows why he’s here. And they know he will keep showing up until he gets to look Tully Blanchard in his beady little eyes. Dusty pauses as Blanchard and Bobby Heenan approach. Heenan has a legal folder in his hand.

Blanchard says he knows what Dusty wants. He wants it more than anything. Well, Tully wants that belt more than anything and the last time they met he was ‘this’ close to winning it. So if Dusty wants one more shot he can have it but that belt is on the line, it will happen at the Crockett Cup, it will be an actual wrestling match...none of this bunkhouse garbage...and one more stipulation. Dusty cannot physically touch Tully until the match. Heenan smirks and puts the folder with a contract inside on the desk.

Dusty looks it over. He repeats the stipulations. “World Heavyweight Championship….pure wrestling….at the Crockett Cup….and Tully cannot be touched.” Blanchard nods, supremely smug. Rhodes nods and signs before telling Tully he forgot one thing. Blanchard asks what it is and Rhodes punches Heenan with a right jab, dropping him. Rhodes said he never promised nothing to the ‘weasel’. Rhodes walks off as Blanchard attends to his Executive Director as the show ends.

<b>JAKE ROBERTS VS FRED PHILLIPS</b>

Roberts looks like he’s going to use good sportsmanship as the match begins, even offering to shake hands. Phillips is unsure but shakes his hand and from there it’s all Roberts who uses every dirty maneuver and even invents some new ones. The sad part is he doesn’t need to do any of this but seems to relish his tactics. With Phillips dazed after a short arm clothesline almost takes his head off Roberts stalks his opponent and when Phillips is almost on his feet he strikes, delivering a DDT. Roberts smiles at what he’s done before slithering over and making a very loose cover for the win.

WINNER BY PINFALL: JAKE ROBERTS

Following the match Roberts looks like he’s going to help Phillips up but he suddenly delivers a second DDT. He smiles down at his prey with a cold smile.

<b>RON BASS W/JAMES J. DILLON VS OWEN HART</b>

Bass wins this matchup rather easily as Hart is never able to build any momentum. The veteran works over the younger fan favorite as Dillon berates him from the outside. Bass puts him away with the Texas Gourdbuster.

WINNER BY PINFALL: RON BASS

<b>JIM DUGGAN VS TERRY GORDY</b>

Two brawlers in this one do their best to lay into each other with their hardest hits for several minutes. Duggan begins to gain momentum once he’s knocked Gordy off his feet with a flying shoulder tackle as bounds off the ropes. Duggan appeals to the crowd for more support and lines up Gordy for another blow when Steve Williams comes down to ringside and slides into the ring, blindsiding Duggan.

WINNER BY DISQUALIFICATION: JIM DUGGAN

Duggan lays in the ring as Williams and Gordy walk up the aisle, satisfied with their actions when Duggan pulls himself up to his feet and gets the ringside microphone. He tells them if they want to be a couple of tough guys and have a fight how about they do it next week? Williams seems to salivate at the idea and shouts for Duggan to find himself a partner who doesn’t mind getting hurt!

<b>MAGNUM T.A. VS BUDDY LANDEL</b>

Landel tries some underhanded tactics to try to keep the advantage but Magnum fights through it and with the fans’ support he takes firm control of the march. He whips Landel into the ropes and catches him in the middle of the ring, delivering a belly to belly for the win.

WINNER BY PINFALL: MAGNUM T.A.

Magnum gets his hand raised but a moment later he’s attacked from behind by Rick Rude. Magnum and Rude begin to brawl and it spills onto the outside of the ring. Rude is getting the worst of it until he pulls Magnum face first into the ring post. To the audience’s shock, Rude pulls Magnum up slightly before putting him in position for a piledriver. The referee is warning Rude but he doesn’t care as he delivers the piledriver onto the concrete floor. Magnum lands in a heap, slightly twitching. The referee goes to attend to him but Rude slings him out of the way. Rude picks up Magnum again and as the camera catches pictures of women crying at ringside he delivers a second piledriver. He looks like he wants to go for a third when the Rock and Roll Express run down to the ring and Rude finally retreats with a big smile.

We’ll see Rick Rude, Dino Bravo, Ricky Steamboat defending the NWA Television Championship and the big tag team match. Last week Gary Hart challenged Tommy Rich to find a partner and he has and tonight it will be Kimala and the Spoiler versus Rich and Sam Houston!

<b>RICK RUDE VS JAY YOUNGBLOOD</b>

Youngblood puts up a good fight against Rude and even holds the advantage late into the match but a questionably low knee lift into the abdomen stuns him allowing Rude to put him away with the Rude Awakening.

WINNER BY PINFALL: RICK RUDE

Rick Rude joins Tony Schiavone at the desk. He can’t wipe the smirk off his face. He starts off asking if anyone knows if Magnum is in the building. Schiavone doesn’t find it funny telling us that Magnum was severely injured by Rude last week. Rude says that it’s a lesson to everyone. When you think you can embarrass him you pay the price. Now that Magnum is on bedrest for the next few years the future is wide open for the Ravishing One. He blows a kiss to the camera and walks off.

<b>DINO BRAVO VS JOE SAVOLDI</b>

Bravo dominates the match with his power and strength, ending it quickly with a side slam.

WINNER BY PINFALL: DINO BRAVO

<b>TOMMY RICH AND SAM HOUSTON VS KIMALA AND THE SPOILER W/GARY HART</b>

Houston is double teamed in the enemy corner for a lot of the match but when he makes the tag to Rich the tide turns. Rich is on fire as he lays into Spoiler and Kimala. Spoiler is the legal man and Rich is wearing him out. Rich whips Spoiler into the ropes but it’s reversed. Spoiler is ready to apply the claw but Rich ducks it and when he rebounds he hits the Thesz Press. 1….2…..oh the bell has rung and the time limit for the match has been reached!

NO CONTEST: TIME LIMIT DRAW

The four men begin brawling in the ring. The spoiler pairs off with Rich while Kimala quickly dumps Houston to the outside and the two monsters double team Rich. Hart begins directing the action and slides a chair in the ring. They lay Rich on top of it and the Spoiler holds Rich down as Kimala climbs to the top. Unsteady once he stands, the Ugandan Giant flies off and splashes Rich into the chair. Officials hit the ring but Hart makes sure that Rich knows that Hart was responsible for this.

Steamboat takes a beating in the beginning half of the match but he digs deep and stuns Sharpe with a series of martial arts strikes. He then takes over the match and when the time is right he flies off the top with a cross body block for the win.

WINNER BY PINFALL AND STILL NWA TELEVISION CHAMPION: RICKY STEAMBOAT

Schiavone and Crockett are ending the show when Bobby Heenan storms the set. He demands time to respond to Dusty Rhodes’ “assault and battery” last week. Crockett tells him they’re out of time and he demands to speak to the person in charge as the show goes off the air.

Gordon Solie and Buddy Colt welcome us to this week’s episode of World Wide Wrestling. Not only do we have a new host but the set has been changed as well with both men seated on either side of an oval table and three large television screens behind them. They hype this week’s show. We’ll see the Midnight Express, Shawn Michaels, Chris Adams, and in the main event Steve Williams and Terry Gordy versus Jim Duggan and a mystery partner. All this and a special Hot Rod’s tonight!!

<b>THE MIDNIGHT EXPRESS W/JIM CORNETTE VS CHAVO AND HECTOR GUERRERRO</b>

A solid tag team match and the Guerreros’ years of experience are even a match for the Midnights. The momentum goes back and forth but when Cornette distracts Hector, who allows his temper to get the best of him Eaton lands a running knee lift in the back and from there it’s all Midnight Express.

WINNERS BY PINFALL: THE MIDNIGHT EXPRESS

Cornette orders his men to continue their aggression after the match. They throw Chavo out of the ring and focus on Hector. Condrey and Eaton both take an arm allowing Cornette to get a solid shot...to Hector’s back with his tennis racket.

<b>CHRIS ADAMS VS JIM BRUNZELL</b>

Back and forth affair and Brunzell builds momentum at the end but Adams hits a superkick out of nowhere to get the victory.

WINNER BY PINFALL: CHRIS ADAMS

<b>SHAWN MICHAELS VS JERRY STUBS</b>

Michaels shows some definite glimpses of greatness in this one showcases his athleticism. Stubbs does what he always does and makes Michaels look great. Michaels ends the match with a moonsault off the top rope.

WINNER BY PINFALL: SHAWN MICHAELS

Wllliams and Gordy are in the ring when Duggan comes out. They’re having a good laugh as Duggan stands alone but he’s not alone for long.

The wild man from New Mexico charges out to stand next to Duggan and now Williams and Gordy know they’re in for a war.

<b>JIM DUGGAN AND BRUISER BRODY VS STEVE WILLIAMS AND TERRY GORDY</b>

This is a pure brawl and the referee has his work cut out for him. All four men lay in some heavy offense but all four men also sell for their opponents making it enjoyable. When Brody gets tagged in again he begins cleaning house and that’s when Williams and Gordy decide they’ve seen enough for the night and take the countout loss as the crowd boos.

WINNERS BY COUNTOUT: JIM DUGGAN AND BRUISER BRODY

Solie and Colt close the show by telling us there is another episode of Hot Rod’s.
