Where's Goldberg?

He's due to come in any day now and destroy all the young talent you've built up.

I'm trying to be realistic with my booking so they are using some old school guys around Mania but my version of Goldberg is the much more viable CM Punk in the Main Event.

What a load of rubbish that was. The Fiend is ruined and he happened to be one of the only good things going for WWE.

I agree joshbrady91 the obvious booking would have been for Goldberg to win either the US or Intercontinental title if they wanted him in a big title match at Mania. Vince is enamoured with big jacked up vets like Goldberg and Brock and the WWE is the worse for it. I will say that Paul Heyman's influence on RAW with Seth's faction of Murphy and the AOP has been really entertaining as has been the Fiend.

OAP are quality
I like AOP. I'm not sure how I feel about OAP (old age pensioners) in Pro Wrestling though. I guess Mae Young took a huge bump off The Dudley Boyz, that was awesome! :D

Yes I am a big fan of Buddy Murphy, he's great. I like myself a bit of Drew McIntrye too.

WWE Raw 17: Tacoma Dome, Washington

Pre-Show: Spacestation Mir (Sin Cara & Frank Mir), Ultraflight (Ultramantis Black & Sonjay Dutt), Serena Deeb & Zelina Vega, Mickie James & Taya Valkyrie, Ember Moon & Candice LaRae all defeated local workers

s4me6D6.jpgUYTC8jl.jpg4zyp9Y3.jpgmCh6fPZ.jpgxF4Zkeg.jpg5NoOotn.jpg2Te4Sac.jpgEIPQ5Ov.jpg

The Show starts with hype for the Kevin & Sami versus WGTT and Velocity versus Secret Society

s4me6D6.jpgUYTC8jl.jpg4zyp9Y3.jpgmCh6fPZ.jpg

1: Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn retained the RAW Tag titles over WGTT by DQ– We were then treated to a top quality title defence by Owens & Zayn who faced off with veterans Charlie Haas and Shelton Benjamin. Everyone in this match knows how to work and they brought their A games here. Kevin & Sami retained after Paul Heyman was caught interfering.

h9VXQNl.jpgbZO8OJK.jpg

AJ Styles and Conor argue about their Fastlane match for the US title. What McGregor lacks in psychology in ring he more than makes up for on the microphone and this really had the crowd buzzing.

4Dfo7AT.jpgqWKT0kY.jpg0fWqldX.jpgKt7F2UC.jpg

We get a short backstage confrontation between the Kabuki Warriors and Io Shirai and her partner for tonight Meiko Satomura

X4fdyhd.jpgiEPPBF2.jpg

Now we get some hype for Fastlane's WWE title match between John Cena and Rey Mysterio. Face versus Face build-ups can be difficult as you cant get into arguments as easily but the story here is pretty simple – Rey wants his title back and Cena is happy to show Rey due respect and accept the challenge.

2Te4Sac.jpgEIPQ5Ov.jpgxF4Zkeg.jpg5NoOotn.jpg

2: Secret Society defeated Velocity – This was for a chance at the title at Fastlane. Everyone came out of the blocks hard and fast here and this match was full of fast paced action. Ali with a 054 Inverted 450 on Alexander fort he win.

7f0n5dF.jpgMnr9au1.jpgBiZtTZH.jpgOBSlYIK.jpgL3TCkGj.jpgMeFdDyb.jpgwNyZXYu.jpgkMbTqNy.jpg

The 4 Horsewomen speak saying they are the most dominant force in women's wrestling. Four women from NXT come out China Syndrome (Xia Li & Zeda Zhang) and Scarlett Bordeaux & Seleziya Sparx. Li already has history with the Horsewomen having been teamed with 3 of the MMA Horsewomen at Survivor Series last year. Matches are set for later tonight.

0fWqldX.jpgKt7F2UC.jpg4Dfo7AT.jpgqWKT0kY.jpg

3: Meiko Satomura & Io Shirai defeated Kabuki Warriors by DQ – They gave this match a decent amount of time to allow the women to work. They are all really good in the ring and this was really good although still a tiny bit down reaction wise. Asuka blew Green Mist in Io’s face right in front of the refs face for a DQ to end it. They are doing a pretty good job at ramping up the animosity between Io and Asuka prior to their Mania match.

7f0n5dF.jpgMnr9au1.jpgL3TCkGj.jpgMeFdDyb.jpg

4: Boss & Hug Connection defeated China Syndrome (Xia Li & Zeda Zhang) – A nice solid bout saw Banks lock in the Banks Statement on Zhang for the victory. The two girls with Chinese heritage both have Martial Arts and MMA style backgrounds and looked pretty good as stand-ins for the MMA Horsewomen. That said they are still a work in progress as a Tag team.

cOatjiD.jpgnl8y6LI.jpg

Backstage Finn Balor cuts a promo about the Undertaker and says he has hand picked the perfect opponent for tonight … the Boogeyman. Finn says he isn’t afraid of the Boogeyman and at Mania he Undertaker will meet his match in the Demon. I cant imagine tonight’s match will be very good as even in his prime the Boogeyman wasn’t very good in the ring but as a warm-up for the Undertaker he actually makes sense.

acfCmt8.jpg62bPLKT.jpgoyNZXxI.jpgY2z7qMM.jpg

Undisputed Era cut a promo about how they are the future of wrestling.

eYkaxvE.jpg1WUVOfe.jpg

We get an elaborate entrance for Japanese veterans Ultimo Dragon and Jushin Thunder Liger

eYkaxvE.jpg1WUVOfe.jpg2oG9qTy.jpg2oG9qTy.jpg

5: Thunderdragon (Jushin & Ultimo) defeated Last of the Hard Men (Bob Sapp & Tony Kozina) – Somewhere in Japan there are a bunch of people losing it over having Bob Sapp facing off against Dragon & Liger – in the Pacific North West not so much. Sapp and Kozina have teamed up a few times on pre-shows when the WWE has been in the area and have excellent chemistry as a team and Liger and Dragon are still great workers. That said this was a match between 4 guys who add up to almost 200 years old and aren’t that well known here so the crowd wasn’t that into it. In a just world the crowd would be ecstatic to see the two legends get one last run but right now the American public don’t seem to care.

BiZtTZH.jpgOBSlYIK.jpgwNyZXYu.jpgkMbTqNy.jpg

6: Becky & Charlotte defeated Scarlett Sparx (Bordeaux & Seleziya) – Now onto something the crowd was into – Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair, Seleziya Sparx and Scarlett Bordeaux in an eye candy match. Becky and Charlotte are good workers and this sort of bout probably isn’t required for them but sometimes it’s just about getting your face on TV. Scarlett is gorgeous and Sparx is pretty too so this worked well for them. Dis-Arm-Her on Sparx by Lynch for the win.

cOatjiD.jpgnl8y6LI.jpg

7: Finn Balor defeated Boogeyman – This was nowhere near as bad as I feared. Boogeyman made his elaborate entrance and tried to intimidate Finn but as soon as the bell rang Balor took control and beat-down the Boogeyman.

7PcwYy8.jpgcOatjiD.jpg2tTJyaO.jpgBWJb56H.jpgh9VXQNl.jpgdy7OITw.jpgKL6QsYZ.jpgCgjpBSz.jpg

After the pin The Undertaker attacks Finn, The O.C make the save – Kane, Big Show & Miz join Taker side brawling with the O.C. – You know it’s Mania season when people like Taker, Kane and Show are broken out of mothballs. This brawl was really entertaining and the crowd loved it.

cOatjiD.jpg2tTJyaO.jpgBWJb56H.jpgh9VXQNl.jpg7PcwYy8.jpgdy7OITw.jpgKL6QsYZ.jpgCgjpBSz.jpg

8: The O.C (Finn, AJ, Gallows, Anderson) vs Taker, Kane, Big Show & Miz ends in a double count-out as they all brawl outside – Any semblance of a proper match went out the window within 10 minutes as an 8 man brawl started up again spilling to the outside of the ring and Security ran in to keep the men apart to middling results as the 8 men threw them awawy like rag dolls and continued to assault each other. The crowd ate this up with a spoon.

JdFXQFn.jpgbZO8OJK.jpg

Cut to backstage where Paul Heyman and Conor McGregor are watching on the monitor – Conor wants to join the fray but Paul cautions him saying that he needs to let AJ tire himself out with the melee against the big men while he sets back and prepares for Fastlane and Mania.

skNvSt2.jpgYQWfIJS.jpg

Elsewhere backstage Daniel Cormier and Cain Velasquez talk about wanting a match Wrestlemania Weekend.

8DUgGJe.jpgiohQYmY.jpgSq1e4vn.jpgB1IPD0D.jpg

Dolph Ziggler comes out and rants about how he refuses to become RAW’s forgotten man. Steph & Regal come out and tell him that if he wants a match he can have one right now against Daniel Bryan.

B1IPD0D.jpg8DUgGJe.jpg

9: Daniel Bryan defeated Dolph Ziggler – In an exceptional match Daniel Bryan and Dolph Ziggler fought for just on half an hour in front of enraptured crowd. Ziggler & Bryan meshed really well and this had wonderful pacing and plenty of great spots. Bryan won with the Yes Lock.

WWE SMACKDOWN: Royal Farms Arena Baltimore Maryland. 12289 att sell out

Pre–Show: The Bar (Cesaro & Sheamus) , The Family (Harper & Rowan), The Usos, The Mavericks, The Revival defeated Local workers

pEWxYHP.jpgrxPSSv4.jpgCMhJkrF.jpgSP4jR6d.jpg

The show opens with Matt Hardy cutting one of his rambling semi-coherent stream of consciousness promos about the Band – Drew and Jinder come out and the two teams brawl.

MpN8uib.jpgeVYBZjE.jpgCf4cPa2.jpgVfL1jMk.jpg

Backstage the IIconics are cutting one of their deluded but very funny promos when the Beautiful People get into their face and deliver a number of stinging put downs. Pushing occurs, then shoving, then cat-fighting as Producers try to separate them. The SMACKDOWN Roster seems to be frisky tonight.

pEWxYHP.jpgSP4jR6d.jpg

1: Jeff Hardy defeated Drew McIntyre – We cut back to the ring where the formerly better member of the Hardy’s is taking on the still much better member of the Band. It was a decent enough match but Hardy’s best years appear behind him. Somewhat surprisingly he won with a Swanton.

Cf4cPa2.jpgVfL1jMk.jpg2oG9qTy.jpg2oG9qTy.jpg

2: Beautiful People defeated 2 Local Workers – A solid jiggle-fest saw the Beautiful People triumph over two locals.

rxPSSv4.jpgCMhJkrF.jpg

3: Matt Hardy defeated Jinder Mahal – The now slightly better Hardy brother took on the nowhere near as bad as he’s often portrayed as member of the Band in a match that was actually better than the earlier Jeff & Drew bout. Hardy picked up the win with the Twist of Fate.

DKXwt0R.jpgjvvS6R5.jpgl6cPZi3.jpg5eCn9Is.jpgDklBKbV.jpgE0VCOAY.jpghJMQkBd.jpgWIXTu8Z.jpg

Steph & Shane are out hyping Fastlane and Mania – Eric Young, Robert Roode and James Storm come out and say they are being held down and deserve title shots and more big matches. The Shield & Braun Strowman come out and say if they want big matches and title shots they are more than happy to oblige. Shane books Eric Young versus Roman Reigns right now.

hJMQkBd.jpgl6cPZi3.jpg

4: Roman Reigns defeated Eric Young – Eric Young said he wanted to show people he was deserving of being in big matches and this went a long way to proving that. This was a 4 Star banger where Eric tried every trick in his considerably large book to defeat the Big Dog. There were moments when it really did look like Eric would get the upset win before a Superman Punch was followed up by a Spear and a pin.

MpN8uib.jpgeVYBZjE.jpgLzjGAst.jpg4MoQ5xd.jpg

5: The IIconics retained the WWE Womens over Southern Belles (Kaci Lennox & Savannah Evans) – Normally these sort of throwaway matches wouldn’t draw anything other than a few snide observances about jiggling from me but Kaci Lennox and Savannah Evans showed enough out there for me to point them out for praise. The two young women clicked like they had been tagging for years and looked fantastic as a team. I’d be shocked if the WWE or some other major fed doesn’t snap them up soon because these two might turn into something special down the track.

WIXTu8Z.jpgDklBKbV.jpg

6: Braun Strowman retained the Intercontinental over James Storm – Another 4 Star banger with the veteran Storm bringing the very best out of Robert Roode. Looking at this it was clear how badly TNA dropped the ball on Storm all those years ago when he and Roode faced off for the title – Storm was poised to break out, he was the wronged face hell bent on revenge and the crowd wanted him to win and then he … didn’t. Now he’s a 42 year old man getting his first proper run in the biggest fed in the USA and whilst it’s unlikely he will ever win the main belts he showed more than enough here to say he’d be a more than decent choice to hold one of the secondary titles. His style of old-school Southern Brawling fit well with big Braun and he had one comeback spot in particular in this match that showed exactly how smart a worker he’s become.

E0VCOAY.jpg5eCn9Is.jpg

7: Seth Rollins def Robert Roode - It’s funny I only just realised that they had given a lot of their key guys the night off tv at SMACKDOWN this week. The show certainly didn’t suffer for it though as people like Roode, Storm and Young stepped up tot he plate and put on great displays. They might have lost these bouts but those 3 men did enough tonight to cement them in fans minds as legitimate threats to the top tier guys. This match wasn’t near the recent Beer Money vs Shield match in sheer quality but it was another 4 star showing and a really good capper on what turned out to be a pretty good night for the WWE with the worst bout a 3 and a half to 4 star opener between Drew McIntyre and Jeff Hardy which was still pretty entertaining.

Doctor “So Mr McMahon what do you see when I show you this picture”

Vince “... Barack Obama”

Doctor ‘Not Shelton Benjamin?”

Vince “No … not Shelton Benjamin … they look nothing alike”

Doctor “And this one?”

Vince “Idris … Alba … no Elba”

Doctor “Good and this ...”

Vince "RuPaul”

Doctor “Very good Mr McMahon … very good indeed … how about this one?”

Vince “I …. I am sorry I am unfamiliar with that young man”

Doctor “His name is ACH he was also known as Jordan Myles. Do you remember him now”

Vince “Not really … I think we may have had him in development”

Doctor “That’s right … now one last one”

Vince “Why that's Shelton Benjamin … he’s one of our workers. Good guy”

Doctor “Excellent”

Vince “Thanks so … is there any chance… I mean”

Doctor “Can you get out of here?”

Vince “Yes … Can I get out of here?”

Doctor ‘I cant see why not … the medications appear to be working perfectly and you didn’t even flinch when I mentioned Shelton Benjamin”

Vince “Why would I?”

Doctor “Indeed why would you … we’ll get your stuff together and call your family and you should be released in a few hours”

The Doctor left the room leaving Vince alone with his thoughts. The servants of the Evil One were very tricky … the Doctor had showed him 4 of his many faces before revealing the true face of the Dark Lord. Vince was too clever to fall into the trap though he’d learnt to recognise the false faces worn by the Prince of Darkness and soon … very soon he’d save the world from that Evil Monster sent from Hell … soon he’d kill Shelton Benjamin!!!

Vince is indeed Bugnuts Crazy!!!

Really entertaining write up buddy, keep up the good work

Thanks guys - I'm trying to mix the more serious narratives with enough comedy and strangeness to make this feel distinct for the other diaries for major feds. It's a lot easier to play a smaller fed for laughs because indy wrestling can be totally ridiculous and still work (CHIKARA) but for something like the WWE you have to actually try to book something that wont destroy the company. I cant write a dead straight fed though - wrestling is too innately silly to me to ever take it too seriously no matter how much I love it.

WWA RAW 18: MGM Grand Garden Arena Las Vegas,

Pre-Show:

Andrade & Aleister Black, Strong Style Samurai, Dolph Ziggler & guest worker Ryan Nemeth, New Day and Daniel Cormier defeated local workers

4Dfo7AT.jpgqWKT0kY.jpgjMFkMa3.jpg

The show opens with the Kabuki Warriors getting out of their car in the parking lot – Io Shirai appears and blows some sort of Red Mist into Asuka's face (paybacks a beyootch)

JdFXQFn.jpgIRv15mF.jpgmCh6fPZ.jpg4zyp9Y3.jpgbZO8OJK.jpg2ZwdtCk.jpgyWYomfd.jpgJmLcpNn.jpg

Cut to the ring - The Shooting Party are out talking about Conor’s title defence at Fastlane this weekend. Paul says the other members are keen for a workout tonight. The Lucha House Party answer the challenge.

IRv15mF.jpgmCh6fPZ.jpg4zyp9Y3.jpg2ZwdtCk.jpgyWYomfd.jpgJmLcpNn.jpg

1: Shooting Party (Brock, Shelton & Haas) defeated Lucha House Party – The Luchadores tried their best here but it was a lost cause from the off. The bigger man manhandled the Mexicans tossing them around the ring like rag-dolls. Brock put Lince Dorado away with a F-5.

7f0n5dF.jpgOBSlYIK.jpgMnr9au1.jpgBiZtTZH.jpgcdBZgA3.jpgd3U6XXh.jpgY5p6BVE.jpgaB15yyh.jpg

The 4 Horsewomen are cutting a backstage promo when they are jumped by the MMA Horsewomen – a brawl ensues. The WWE has really played the long game with this feud with teases of a 4 v 4 match going right back to when Baszler joining NXT a few years back and the heat for this feud is off the charts at this point.

2Te4Sac.jpgEIPQ5Ov.jpg2oG9qTy.jpg2oG9qTy.jpg

2: Secret Society defeated Los Luchas Espectaculares (Zokre & Phoenix Star) – The Secret Society warmed up for their title shot by taking on the veteran West Coast enhancement worker team. The Luchadores have great chemistry with each other and whilst they were never a legit threat they put on a nice bout with Murphy & Ali who are looking smooth and better and better with each outing. A Murphy’s Law on Zokre for the win.

7f0n5dF.jpgMnr9au1.jpg2oG9qTy.jpg2oG9qTy.jpg

3: Boss & Hug Connection defeated 2 Local workers – Having recovered from their brawl earlier Sasha & Bayley made short work of a couple of local west coast girls. The crowd enjoyed it.

KL6QsYZ.jpgRq8rUNN.jpg7PcwYy8.jpgdy7OITw.jpgBWJb56H.jpg2tTJyaO.jpgh9VXQNl.jpgcOatjiD.jpg

The MizShow and the Brothers of Destruction challenge the O.C. to matches tonight. The Vegas crowd lapped up the work from the vets like Taker, Kane and The Big Show knowing they may not see them again.

7PcwYy8.jpgdy7OITw.jpgBWJb56H.jpg2tTJyaO.jpg

4: Brothers of Destruction defeated O.C. (Anderson & Gallows) – What this lacked in technical skill and athleticism it more than made up for in atmosphere. Kane and the Taker know how to work a crowd and Anderson & Gallows are very good as the smug scumbag heels that people want to see take a chokeslam. The BoD have such great chemistry and even though they are ancient that and their undoubted nostalgia factor made this a super fun bout to watch. Double Choke-slams for the win.

OBSlYIK.jpgBiZtTZH.jpg2oG9qTy.jpg2oG9qTy.jpg

5: Becky Lynch & Charlotte Flair defeated 2 local workers – The Horsewomen have largely been utilised in squashes against jobbers on RAW lately. I understand the booking logic – it’s all about giving them momentum leading into the big Mania bout and not making other Main Roster women into pure fodder but it’s not exactly exciting write-up wise. The most fun for me was post match when Becky applied a Dis-Arm-Her and Charlotte a Figure 8 on their hapless beaten opponents.

h9VXQNl.jpgcOatjiD.jpgKL6QsYZ.jpgRq8rUNN.jpg

6: The O.C. (AJ Styles & Finn Balor) defeated ShowMiz (Big Show & The Miz) – This was another fun match featuring an ageing veteran. Miz did most of the heavy lifting for his team in this match with Show used for effect. Eventually Miz took a beatdown but made a tag to Show who came in and threw his opponents around a bit before a double team set of kicks to the lower legs took him down. AJ hit The Miz knocking off the ring apron and preventing The Miz making the save when Balor eventually nailed the Coup de Grace (top rope double foot-stomp) to finish off the big man.

Regal & Stephanie announce that Strong Style Samurai will face the New Day at Fastlane for the newly minted WWE Six man titles – both teams react.

7: Kairi Sane def Katarina Waters – The former Katie Lea Burchill is still a pretty good worker and that allowed Kairi to show her skills here. An Insane Elbow saw Kairi get the win

jMFkMa3.jpgJbCXZx9.jpg

8: Io Shirai defeated Awesome Kong – AEW recently cut Kong and to be honest it’s kind of clear why – she looked slow and sluggish here and is probably a fair few years past her best. It was still a 3 star bout thanks to Io’s skilful offence. Io nailed a Moonsault for the win

9: Asuka retained the RAW Womens over Melina Perez – Whilst Waters looked pretty good and Kong looked pretty bad Melina Perez looked like she hadn’t lsot a step here. She took it right up to Asuka in a fun match before eventually succumbing to an Asuka Lock. It was nice to see 3 genuine wrestling matches from the women in a row even if the Kong performance was a disappointment.

Regal & Steph do some hype for this weekends FASTLANE and for the upcoming Wresltemania 36. They announce the Hall of Fame induction of …. LAYCOOL! The WWE doesn’t have a ton of high profile Women to induct as it’s only in the last 10 years they have really taken it seriously but this one makes sense. The Takers missus is going to beat him into the Hall of Fame.

We get some hype for FASTLANEs RAW Tag contest between Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn and the Secret Society

Cena & Rey talk about their mutual respect and their match at Fastlane

OBlcXMX.jpgtqjhsBl.jpg

10: Rey Mysterio def R-Truth – Lets be honest Truth is pretty much done. That said he put up an entertaining showing here in a showcase for Rey before eating a 619.

X4fdyhd.jpgeYkaxvE.jpg

11: John Cena retained the WWE title over Ultimo Dragon – This was a legitimately great bout and well and truly a 4+ Star bout. Dragon is still a great technician and he was a believable warm-up for Cena before the title bout at Fastlane. Rumour has it that The Dragon will be hanging up his boots after Mania and if this is his last title shot he made it a good one. Cena hit an Attitude Adjustment for the win.

Meanwhile in the often tense world of wrestling sometimes some happier more friendly relationships occur. In WWE’s development areas love has been blooming with Sammy Guevera & Angela Fong dating in NXTUK, Lacey Lane & Cezar Bonini dating in NXT and Jessica Troy and Tome Filip becoming a couple in NXTOz. I assume the look on Sammy’s face in the picture is the same look ghe had when she agreed to go out with him – way to punch above your weight young man. Ain’t love grand.

WWE Smackdown 18: Sprint Center Kansas City Missouri

Pre-Show: AOP, Elias & Mike Kanellis, Valhalla (King Corbin & Killian Dain), Viking Raiders, Rusev Day all defeated local workers

Paul Heyman and the Smackdown part of the Shooting Party are out in the ring to start the show. Paul talks about how Bobby Lashley wants to bring back prestige to the Intercontinental title after it has been tarnished by that lumbering redneck Braun Strowman (Paul knows what he’s doing and how to rile up a crowd full of Missourians). Braun comes out on the stage area and says that he doesn’t care what Paul thinks and if he wants to call him a redneck that’s okay because he’s proud of where he’s come from and who he is and because on Sunday it will be … THESE HANDS around Lashley’s neck.

The Shield, The Usos and Naomi are backstage and they cut a searing promo on how Bray has built himself a cult but tonight they are going to start tearing it apart piece by piece.

1: Angel Williams defeated Billie Kay – Mark this day in your calendars as Billie Kay and Angel Williams had a proper match on SMACKDOWN and it was …. good. Billie Kay … yes Billie Kay was really good here. There’s a Women’s Tag match this weekend at Fastlane so having Angel get the win made sense booking wise.

Cf4cPa2.jpgOEL21vh.jpg

2: Velvet Sky defeated Peyton Royce – The last match allowed the women to show of some genuine skills but lets face it Velvet Sky doesn’t really have much in the way of in-ring skills. Velvet’s skill-set is all about jiggling and few jiggle better. Somehow Peyton managed to sell Velvet’s offence convincingly enough that this worked. The Beautiful People wee 2 for 2 on the night and go into Fastlane with momentum. I wonder if either of the IIconics will throw a tantrum backstage if they lose the Womens Tag titles ala Sasha Banks.

Stacy & Alexa argue backstage – Stacy’s description of Bliss as “Wannabe Part Time Princess actual Full Time Bitch” may well become an unwanted description of Alexa going forward.

Randy Orton & The Revival and Kings of the Bar get into a slanging match prior to their scheduled bout – going back and forth on the mic. Orton was great here but Cesaro more than held his own.

3: Randy Orton & The Revival defeated Kings of the Bar (Sheamus, Cesaro & Kassius Ohno) – A thoroughly enjoyable brawl saw Orton get the win after hitting an RKO on Ohno.

4: Bobby Lashley & The Band (Drew & Jinder) defeated Braun Strowman & The Hardys – Another fun 6 man match saw Drew McIntyre get the win after nearly taking Jeff Hardy’s head off with a Claymore Kick.

Firefly Funhouse – Bray is his usual self switching between effervescent happiness and seething menace on a dime. He talks about how the importance of Family and how he loves his Family but that sometimes families can be toxic and dysfunctional like the Shield and the Usos – how they embrace hate and bitterness and how it would all be better if they just let him in.

DKXwt0R.jpg3i0pCRy.jpg5sq55g3.jpg

Shane & Steph are hyping Fastlane and Mania and announce the next Hall of Fame induction …. Santino Marella.

ijzlqqI.jpgnuePMhF.jpgzGQCUO5.jpgh2BkneY.jpg

5: Bray Wyatt & The Acolyte defeated The Usos – Both these teams are really good together and the Family’s feud with the The Shield/Usos & Naomi is pretty white hot so this had the crowd on side from the get go. It was a fun bout with Bray very much using The Acolyte as a human shield until the opportunity came to impose his will on the match and after some dubious double teaming he eventually nailed the Sister Abigail on Jimmy for the win.

qqiIso2.jpgHZx5WRt.jpg

6: Abigail defeated Naomi – Nobody has benefited more from Stephanie’s reign than Courtney Rush, her gimmick is perfect for Bray Wyatt's schtick and they have been booking her very strongly she clearly has the potential to be a great option as a Monster Heel in the Womens division. She stalked her prey here and whilst Naomi battled gamely it was very clear that Abigail more than had her measure.

CM Punk w Colt Cabana, Kaitlyn & AJ Lee comes out and cuts a promo on how he doesn’t care if Rey Mysterio or John Cena wins at Fastlane because nothing is going to prevent him getting his Wrestlemania moment and winning the WWE title in the Main Event.

E0VCOAY.jpghJMQkBd.jpgs8Ef80G.jpgpl9zoKe.jpg

7: The Shield def The Family (Rowan & Harper) – Not that long ago Harper was on the outer and Rowan was trapped in a go nowhere mid-card heel role tonight they may have lost the match but they well and truly proved that when booked right they can hang at the highest level. This wasn’t as technically proficient as the recent Beer Money vs Shield match but it was a top quality brawl that was close to a 4.5 Star bout. Roman hit a Spear on Harper to end it.
