Munit
I wanna create this thread to get everyone's opinions on this. A Former multiple time champion in DAVE, XFW, and even won the FCW title. Would he have stayed in FCW? It seemed like he could've been a decent talent everywhere. Every game I play with regional companies before his death always have him as a top person to add to the company. I've always been curious about everyone opinion on this. Also if anyone has any cool stories to share about him, I would love to hear it

He founded the promotion alongside Puerto Rican Power.

I think he and PRP would have been the top guys on the Islands and he would be running a really successful school that was continuing to pump out good talents.
Matt_Black
Just because someone founded the company doesn't mean they'll stick around. Just look at Jeff Jarrett and TNA/ Impact.

Matt_Black
Especially with the ego Puerto Rican Power has. I could absolutely see him going, "Well, Shawn did some good stuff, but at the end of the day, people were paying to see ME."
SIser187
I think you can have a wider question on how many more people would've come to Shawn to train and spread his influence in that manner. That might be the bigger part of his legacy considering who he DID have a hand in training or grooming already.
Historian
Especially with the ego Puerto Rican Power has. I could absolutely see him going, "Well, Shawn did some good stuff, but at the end of the day, people were paying to see ME." But part of Puerto Rican Power's building of the company came after the death of Shawn and he was the sole top star. If Shawn was there, PRP's ego might have stayed in check more with his best friend there to balance him out -- because Shawn and PRP are supposed to be incredibly close friends, not just business partners. I think it unlikely that Shawn would have fully jumped ship had he stayed alive. It could have happened, of course, but I think that he would have stayed on. With FCW initially being built on a roster of Shawn's students, I think that would have continued and their roster would have a lot of Gonzalez students and be a Puerto Rican MAW! Hashasheen
I don't know. I think Shawn would have been a star for TCW, like I think Puerto Rican Power could have been a star for USPW. I've never really thought about him living before, but right now you've got me mulling the idea of PRP dying instead of Shawn and Shawn running FCW in his stead. You'd have no superstar, but you'd have the Gonzalez family ties and a number of trainer / trainee relationships to keep Puerto Rico interesting.
