Who wins each tournament in your opinion?

Night #1

Featherweight: Makwan Amirkhani

Heavyweight: Valentin Moldavsky

Night #2

This is the more intriguing night of tournaments for me. I think just about everyone in both brackets has the potential to win the tournaments, so picking one fighter to win each match was tough, let alone each tournament. Basically picked Aubin-Mercier because I've been a fan since he was on TUF, but I think his Quarter-Final opponent Dariush could win the whole thing too, it's a very tough Lightweight bracket for predicting.

Lightweight: Olivier Aubin-Mercier

Light Heavyweight: Anthony Smith

Notes:

- Chris de la Rocha retired after his loss to Steve Mowry. Mowry moved to 10-0 after this win.

- 38 year old Italian, Mauro Cerilli finally found his way to the UFC, and made it a successful debut, TKOing Timothy Johnson in exactly a minute.

- Martin Bravo was around +300 with the bookmakers for his fights against Makwan Amirkhani and Zubaira Tukhugov, but managed to beat both men to get to the final.

- Steve Mowry moved to 12-0 after a clean sweep in the Heavyweight tournament. Mowry has a huge upside, being 6'8 and only 28 years old.

- Valentin Moldavsky may have lost the final, but he took home $100k in bonuses for KO of the Night and Fight of the Night.

- Martin Bravo was a +580 underdog but still managed to beat Rony Jason in the final of the Featherweight tournament and make it 3 upsets in one night. It was an incredible performance from the Mexican, who came into the tournament with 6 straight losses, with his last victory being in 2016, winning the TUF Latin America 3 season, but at only 27 years old, has plenty of time to make a push in the Featherweight division.

Notes:

- In the Light Heavyweight semi-finals, the two 40+ year olds beat a 30 year old and 27 year old to make the final.

- Fabio Maldonado was the underdog in every fight as he made his way to the final at Light Heavyweight, but shocked everyone by winning all 3 fights, and beating fellow 41 year old Brazillian, Glover Teixeira in the final. Maldonado is now on a 5 fight win streak in his current UFC run.

- Beneil Dariush came into the Lightweight tournament with 3 straight losses, but turned that around, winning all 3 fights over very tough opposition.

- Will Brooks was clearly very tired in the final, after two tough 15 minute fights previously.

Hard choice between Cory and Borg at BW, but I'll go with Borg.

Holland at MW. Damn the WW tournament looks sick, I'll go with RDA. And Chito Vera in the second BW tournament.

Thanks for predicting :)

Trying to get a mix of contenders, guys coming off losses, guys who haven’t fought in forever, guys on winning streaks that will extend them by 3 if they win and stuff like that, trying to mix it up each tournament :)

These tournaments are giving great exposure to some guys and some good moves up or into rankings, aswell as throwing up some random winners, like Maldonado in the LHW one or bravo in the FW

Will take Sandhagen at BW, Chris Comozzi at MW, Marlon Vera in the other BW, and completely agree the WW tournament is crazy tough, will take Mike Chiesa.

Thanks for the predictions, my thought was Sandhagen, but ive simmed the event and surprisingly to me and i guess you guys, he didn't win it, will be posting results later today hopefully :)

Submission of the Night: Mario Bautista (vs Joby Sanchez)

Notes:

- Mario Bautista kicked off the night by getting a big underdog victory, KOing Casey Kenney despite being a +570 underdog.

- An even bigger underdog advanced also, as Jonathan Martinez, a +730 underdog, beat tournament favourite, Marlon Vera, who was a -920 favourite for this fight, by unanimous decision.

- Mario Bautista won the Bantamweight tournament surprisingly, by KOing Luke Sanders in just 30 seconds in the first round. Bautista finished all 3 opponents on route to the tournament victory. Bautista managed to take home both the Knockout of the Night and Submission of the Night in a fantastic night for the Arizona native.

- Andrey Koreshkov won the Welterweight tournament by winning every fight from being the underdog. After his tournament win, he strangely called out Abdul Razak Alhassan. This tournament win came off the back of his unsuccessful UFC debut against Alexey Kunchenko.

- These tournaments are really giving underdogs the chance to prove themselves, with Koreshkov, Oliveira, Bautista all underdogs in every fight, minus Oliveira in the Welterweight final fight.

Well, my predictions got smashed.

Time for a second try, I guess: Northcutt, E Sanchez, Queally & Dolloway

Thanks for the predictions again :) these tournaments are really throwing out some random results that will lead to some interesting contenders, out of all the tournaments so far, I’d say Cody is the most likely to be a winner, but then again, he was against a load of killers so even that was a surprise

Who you got winning the tournaments bud?

I’ve got a feeling for the MW tournament that a number of them may retire during the tournament as most are nearly 40 or over 40 lol!

My picks are Northcutt, Sanchez, Schulte and Dolloway, but these tournaments are so hard to predict

Notes:

- Michael Graves came into the tournament undefeated, and left it undefeated, improving from 7-0-1 pre-tournament to 10-0-1 post tournament. It must be strange for Graves to see the guy he beat in his UFC debut, now the king of the mountain at Welterweight, with Vicente Luque holding the UFC Welterweight title.

- With his tournament win at Featherweight, Aussie Suman Mokhtarian extended his win streak to 4 after a 0-2 start to his career in the UFC. He becomes the first Australian to win a contender tournament. His win in the final came via a cut just 20 seconds from the end of the fight, which Danny Henry was arguably winning on the scorecards, prior to the cut.

- The featherweights started their tournaments right, getting finishes in all the quarter final fights and not leaving it to the judges.

Agreed, these tournaments are definately producing some random, and surprising results, which should lead to some interesting fights, as fighters that might not have get shot up the rankings. Keep up the good work, this dynasty continues to be entertaining.
