Joe has the upper-hand on Styles, until Sting comes back into the ring and knocks Joe from behind. Sting attempts to slow down the pace of the match, knowing he can't fully keep up with Styles' fast paced offense. Sting and Styles begin to team up on Joe, with a couple of double team moves to ground the big man. Once Joe has been worn down, and tossed out of the ring, Styles and The Icon come face to face.</p></div><p></p><p> The two stare each other down, "Mr. TNA", and "The Icon". Styles had just retained against Sting at Bound for Glory, ending Sting's undefeated streak at Bound for Glory. The two slap hands, and begin to lock up. They take an old school approach to their encounter, keeping the pace slow, and more mat-based. Eventually, they break, and Styles begins to quicken the pace with a few kicks to the mid-section of Sting. </p><p> After a little more of this, Joe eventually brings a chair into the fray, utilizing the No-DQ atmosphere of a three way dance. However, for his troubles, he gets a Pelé Kick with the chair in his face. After a bit more fighting between Sting and Styles, Joe finally gets his big intro into the match by hitting Sting with a German Suplex. Joe lays the beatdown on Sting, obviously wanting him out of the match, wanting Styles alone. With some additional offense, as well as reluctant teamwork between the two, Styles eliminates Sting from the match with a springboard 450 and the 1-2-3.</p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="color:#8B0000;">Sting has been eliminated! (approx. 12 Minutes)</span></strong></p><p> </p><p> Joe and Styles now stand face to face. This was what was supposed to happen before fate reared its ugly head and took Daniels out of the picture. With the elimination, Styles no longer has help from "The Icon", and must work to eliminate Joe on his own. The two lock up, immediately setting a fast sequence into motion. Joe uses his power to attempt to ground Styles, while Styles tries to stay up, and get his aerial assault going.</p><p> Eventually, Joe looks to lock in the Coquina Clutch on Styles, but Styles manages to pull himself up on Joe and deliver a kick to the head that sends Joe rolling out of the ring. In a desperate need to capitalize, Styles goes to the high risk zone and hits a senton over the top rope. After the two men almost not meeting the count of ten, the action resumes with a series of strikes between Joe and Styles.</p><p> After a barrage of Joe's offense, finishing out with the kick-out of a Muscle Buster, Styles looks to be back on the up and up. He begins to go through his routine of moves, including the Phenomenal Forearm and getting the Calf Crusher applied. Joe was able to eventually escape the Calf Crusher and in a sign of desperation, hit Styles with the same chair that was used earlier. This strike gave Joe enough time to recuperate and finally lock in the Coquina Clutch on Styles.</p><p> Just as it was looking like Styles was going to tap out, a familiar winner from earlier in the night appeared on the entrance ramp. "The Pope" D'Angelo Dinero. Despite Joe saying earlier in the night that Dinero was nowhere near in his head, Joe unwisely broke the hold to go yell at him. Dinero yelled back, but didn't come to attack. When Joe realized this he brushed Dinero off, and turned back around. Straight into another Pelé Kick.</p><p> The momentum had completely swung in Styles' favor now, as he picked up the downed Samoan and hit him with the Styles Clash.</p><p> <strong>1...</strong> <strong><em>2... </em></strong>NO!</p><p> </p><p> Against all odds, Joe kicked out. The exhausted Styles looked in disbelief, not knowing what he had to do to beat Joe. The two remained on the mat, but beat the count of ten. The cocky Dinero continued to watch from ringside, as Joe and Styles both began exchanging strikes again. Joe broke this trend with a stiff looking strike to the legs which brought Styles down, and finally a kick to the head. Joe picked the defenseless Styles back up, getting him into position for a Muscle Buster.</p><p> Almost as soon as Joe gets him up Dinero grabs at Joe's legs, getting Joe off balance enough to let Styles flip back onto the apron. As he does, Styles kicks Dinero back, and hits Joe with another Phenomenal Forearm. He signals for one more Styles Clash, and gets Joe into position. Despite Joe almost escaping it, Styles gets him up and hits it. A pinfall immediately follows for the 1-2-3 victory.</p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="color:#8B0000;">Winner, and still TNA World Heavyweight Champion: AJ Styles! If I didn't like it I wouldn't even read it. I don't really read Thundervrse diaries and would never vote on them (unfamiliar with the characters) and I tend to not be too involved in C-Verse ones either so no way would I drag a persons scores down on those. For real world ones if I didn't like it I'd just not read it because I don't like the negativity that infests the internet sometimes. For me you can say something negative to someone if it's constructive but unless you have something to add that will improve the persons output why vote negatively or say something bad about it. Of course I bag the heck out of Oddworld but that's because the purpose of Oddworld is to be a car-crash and responding it calling it terrible is a compliment.</p><p> </p><p> With this it's off to a solid start. Kasainity433 hasn't done anything left field that makes it stand out yet but these sort of threads where you are taking an existing product and making it your own it takes time as you cant just shake up the status quo in a couple of posts. You have to give this sort of thread a decent amount of time so the writer can establish their voice before you can know whether you are going to like it long term or not. There's enough about this to say it could end up being very good and for anyone to just give it a one so early is a bit ordinary for mine.</p>

Turning Point Fallout/News:

17RGe5X.png

Highlights from the Post-Show Press Conference:

Kurt Angle and Desmond Wolfe were both very brief with their statements. Angle announced that they would attempt to settle the score next week on Impact. Despite this want to settle the score, there was an undertone of hunger and anger to Angle's words.

Team 3D were cheerful in their interview, looking towards a shot at the TNA Tag Team Titles sometime in the future. However, in the midst of their excitement, a still pissed off Rhino ruined the party. He attacked both men, even putting Devon through one of the tables!

After a lengthy delay to set another table up, The Beautiful People are set at the table. Eventually, Sky gets sick of being asked about their failure to capture the titles, especially after having to wait for so long. After asking why the reporter doesn't ask better, and "more important" questions, she storms off with her fellow Beautiful People members behind her.

Dinero stated that this match was only the beginning of his winning streak, and that from here on out, it'll get easier and easier.

The British Invasion speak about how no team, not the slobs from Hell's Kitchen, or the alcoholics from Tennesse, hell, not even the punks from wherever Detroit is could beat them. They will forever reign with the TNA Tag Team Titles.

Samoa Joe wants to get his hands on The Pope, and teach his cocky ass a lesson. He does acknowledge that the match was No-DQ, but that that doesn't mean he had any right to interfere on anyone's behalf.

The Machine Guns don't say much, only that they will get a shot soon, no matter what it takes.

A notable absence from the press conference was Tara, who was unable to appear after her grueling match with Awesome Kong.

The TNA World Champion AJ Styles closes out the press conference. He gives props to both Sting and Samoa Joe, both of whom he considers amazing competitors, but says that he simply came out on top. He also notes that The Pope's interference did play a role in his victory, and the he would love to have a clean match with Joe at some point. When asked about what Joe could do better in the future, Styles began to answer but was quickly cut off by a yelling Joe.
Joe barged in, The British Invasion flanking him, getting right into Styles' face. The Machine Guns quickly came to Styles' aid, yelling right back at The British Invasion and Samoa Joe. Before another table could get broken, security got in between both teams, and brought an end to the press conference.

tnawrestling.com News:

  • After their conference ending brawl, AJ Styles and The Motor City Machine Guns are set to take on Samoa Joe and The British Invasion this Thursday on Impact.

  • As stated by Angle, both men along with Mick Foley will attempt to find a resolve to their differences on Impact. How well this meeting will go remains to be seen.

  • Despite only brawling at Turning Point, Scott Steiner and Bobby Lashley will finally face off in a No-DQ match this week on Impact, as yet another duo looking to settle their differences.

  • TNA Global Champion Eric Young was also not seen on Turning Point, but he has announced over social media that he will address his title situation on Impact this week.

  • There were even more wrestlers competing in Pre-Show matches at Turning Point last night, one of which being hardcore star Mickie Knuckles. There is no word on whether she will be signed or not.

TNA Impact Wk. 3 November, 2009 known matches:

AJ Styles and The Motor City Machine Guns VS Samoa Joe and The British Invasion

Bobby Lashley VS Scott Steiner - No DQ Match

Also on the show:

Kurt Angle and Desmond Wolfe will discuss their differences.

Eric Young addresses the TNA Global Championship.

Homicide was asked about what the first phase of his plan was to rebuild the X-Division. He was very cryptic in his response. However, he did leave two hints: he was in talks with a few friends, and that he was going to get an X-Division title shot as soon as possible.

(apologies everyone, had Solo and Ensemble for band which I was after school practicing for all this week and took up a good amount of time. probably get the next show up early this week, but this may be a busy week as well. thank you all for the kind words, I'm reading everything y'all post even if I don't directly address it. have a wonderful night :) )

TNA IMPACT:

Attendance: 1,400 in the TNA Impact Zone (NO VACANCY) TV Rating: 2.85

b63uwaQ.jpghokcJJS.jpg3hV4Lwj.jpg

To open this week's Impact, Mick Foley enters the ring. He's happy about how successful Turning Point was, and makes the claim that Final Resolution will be even better. With that said, there's some business he needs to take care of with some of his roster. He calls out Kurt Angle and Desmond Wolfe, ready to officiate their conversation.

The two separately make it to the ring, and their animosity can be felt through the Impact Zone. Angle speaks first, suggesting that the two fight in a submission match at Final Resolution, so he can finally make Wolfe tap out. Wolfe then speaks, suggesting an iron man match so that he can destroy Angle's jaw, as well as his career.

Angle takes the bait, stepping up to mouth at Wolfe, but gets held back by Foley. Foley proposes that instead of waiting until Final Resolution to fight, they will have a best of 3 series spanning now, until Final Resolution. If said series comes to a draw, then a match type will be decided by a to be determined method. Foley asks if both men agree, and they both nod. Wolfe gets on the mic again, saying that it'll just give him more opportunities to break his jaw.

Foley once again keeps them separated, and asks for a handshake between the two. The two lock hands and stare at each other combatively before exiting the ring.

Match #1: Hernandez VS Sheik Abdul Bashir

mx31g79.jpgVS pcuVS8b.jpg

In a relatively short, but dominant match, Hernandez defeated Sheik Abdul Bashir in 5:15 with a Border Toss. Perhaps this is the beginning of renewed tensions between Hernandez and The World Elite?

Rating: 69

After the Match: Thoughts of those renewed tensions were quickly put aside as "The Blueprint" Matt Morgan stepped into the ring to confront his former tag team partner. Hernandez attempted to diffuse the situation, even trying to get back on good terms with his former partner. However, that wasn't doing it for Morgan, who began throwing punches at the Mexican-American superstar. Hernandez went shot for shot with Morgan, eventually exiting the ring and heading backstage to continue their fight.

Rating: 65

Eric Young, the TNA Global Champion, comes down to the ring sans his World Elite partners. He says that he's miffed that he was left off of Turning Point, especially since he's a champion, and that he wants some action now. After waiting, and getting no response, he decides to take matters into his own hands. But before the matters reach his hands, Mick Foley enters the scene.

Foley announces that Young has not defended the belt in 30 days. And that, although it was a painful decision to make, he asks Young to relinquish his Global Championship. Young is furious, and refuses to give up the belt. It comes to a point that Young sounds almost desperate over it, but Foley won't budge.

Foley rips the title away from Young, and announces a tournament to crown a new champion. Young cuts Foley off, at least asking to be apart of the tournament, but once more gets told no and gets kicked out of the ring. The tournament will start right now, as an open match between anyone who wants it!

Rating: 74

Match #2: Steve Corino VS Black Machismo (Global Title Tournament First Round Match-Up)

9LZdJOt.jpgVS KdHsu6E.jpg

Despite neither man having much time to prepare for the match, Corino and Machismo both put on a decent match. Steve Corino got the best of Black Machismo, and pinned him after a super-kick in 11:53. Corino advances to the semi-finals of the tournament with this win.

Rating: 65

After the Match: Black Machismo offers a hand shake to Corino, but gets declined. Despite the loss, and getting left hanging, this will not be the last we see of Machismo.

2jHV5LE.jpgXnH0SQM.jpg

Abyss is shown walking around backstage. He still has an air of paranoia around him, looking over his shoulder every now and then. But now that Dr. Stevie is gone, Abyss is looking a lot better. However, unbeknownst to Abyss, he has an admirer. The camera pans back to show Raven, sitting atop some obscured storage boxes, watching Abyss pass by.

A recap of the press conference is shown, showing special highlight to the "main event" so to speak. We recap World Champion AJ Styles and Samoa Joe almost coming to blows, before getting separated by The Motor City Machine Guns, and The British Invasion respectively. We don't get much time to take it in, as Samoa Joe is making his way to the ring!

Match #3: TNA World Heavyweight Champion AJ Styles and The Motor City Machine Guns VS TNA Tag Team Champions The British Invasion and Samoa Joe

8lkNATy.jpgrLN1kcn.jpglU5uAjG.jpgVSQ3gpz0R.jpg15soInd.jpg2E8Dili.jpg

This match certainly lived up to it's hype, delivering superb wrestling and great heat. In the end, the faces came out on top, with Styles and The 'Guns defeating Samoa Joe and The British Invasion in 12:38 with a Welcome to Detroit followed by a Spiral Tap to Brutus Magnus.

Rating: 79

As Styles and co. are celebrating, Shelley notices a movement towards the ring. GORE! NO! Shelley and Sabin were able to pull Styles out of the way just in time, and escape the Man Beast Rhino. Rhino is continuing to rage in the ring, hitting turnbuckles, kicking ropes, wanting at Styles badly.

Rating: 80

A vignette for the soon to debut "Blackheart" Tyler Black plays, with two weeks being the approximate date.

Match #4: Alissa Flash VS ODB

ssmsbLq.jpgVS jb3C50s.jpg

Despite a successful defense last Sunday at Turning Point, ODB is once again put into action. However, it seems that Kong's call-out got ODB off of her game, as Alissa Flash rolled her up following Kong's music beginning to play. Despite this loss, it wasn't a quick loss. ODB went 7:18 with Flash.

Rating: 56

After the Match: It seems that Awesome Kong's music wasn't just a fake-out to give Flash the upper-hand, as Kong makes her way down to the ring. ODB is never one to say no to a fight, even in defeat, and eggs her on to get in the ring. However, before we can see these two Knockouts fight, security managed to push Kong backstage.

Rating: 68

vy0mZLY.jpgIbB5hVB.jpgB3MHysV.jpg

Eric Young is getting berated by his World Elite teammates for losing the title, absolutely pissed off at him. Young tries to argue that they couldn't even win a title-shot, much less a title. They then get on him for not even losing the title in a match, in an honorable way, but losing it via commissioner. The group continues to bicker as we cut back to the ring for our next match-up.

Match #5: Bobby Lashley VS Scott Steiner in a No-DQ Match

In a brawl between two massive rivals, a bloodied Bobby Lashley defeated Scott Steiner with a Dominator onto a set-up chair in 8:49. The crowd was obviously excited for a brawl between two massive men, as the match had fantastic heat and some good wrestling.

So Cal Val attempted to get a few words from Kurt Angle prior to his main event match with Desmond Wolfe. As per usual lately, Angle had very few words about his upcoming match, but knew that he was going to be able to lock in the Angle Lock tonight. There were no if, and, or buts about it. An ankle will get snapped tonight, and it's not going to be Angle's.

MAIN EVENT: Kurt Angle VS Desmond Wolfe - First of the Best of Three series (0-0)

Despite his best efforts, Wolfe came up short in the first match of the series. While he did good on defense, preventing Angle from locking in the ankle lock, he himself couldn't make good on his promise to break Angle's jaw. In fact, Angle protected his jaw well, once again dodging the Jawbreaker Lariat and keeping pressure away from his face. Angle was able to hit the Angle Slam, and pick up the 1-2-3 victory in 16:45. The match as a whole was exceptional, some may say even better than their Turning Point match last Sunday, and will leave fans wanting more in two weeks.

Despite his win, Angle isn't going to celebrate yet. He knows he still has to win one more match, and even that won't come easy with a competitor like Wolfe. Angle looks on as the ref tends to Wolfe, with a fire in his eyes as we go off the air.

So ya took Eric's Global Title, didn't allow him to compete, and then he got chewed out by his "partners".

Well first of all, Mick Foley is a terribly unfair commissioner has you can't strip someone of their title if you don't let them defend it.

And second of all, I get the feeling you're not a fan of Mr. Young.

I wouldn’t say I’m not the biggest fan of Mr. Young, just that I have plans for him. Although, I do agree with you that it was a pretty unfair decision, things will get better for him. Promise! :)

News and maybe next Impact will hopefully be up Saturday. Out of town today. Thank you all for reading! :D

Impact Fallout/News from tnawrestling.com:

After stripping Eric Young of the Global Championship on this past Impact, Mick Foley was spoken to by TNA management to tone down his punishments. The decision was made that, while Eric Young will remain stripped, he will get a title shot at a time of his choosing at the conclusion of the title tournament.

In other news regarding the Global Title Tournament, the following matches were announced to round out the tournament: Next week, the debuting Tyler Black will take on fellow debutee Brent Albright as the two TNA newcomers look to make a name for themselves. Also in the tournament, "The Pope" D'Angelo Dinero will take on Bobby Lashley. Lashley will surely look to shake off Scott Steiner and solidify himself as a top player in TNA, while "The Pope" is looking for a springboard in the World title picture. Lastly, Abyss will take on Brutus Magnus in the final first round match-up before we head into the semi-finals.

Both semi-final match-ups will take place on the last Impact before Final Resolution, with the title match taking place at Final Resolution.

Two more matches have been announced for next week's Impact, with Awesome Kong taking on Hamada and, in a monstrous match, AJ Styles will clash with Matt Morgan in a non-title match-up. While Kong looks to gain more momentum as she feuds with Knockout's champion ODB, Hamada looks to truly find her footing, and springboard herself to stardom in the Knockout's division. Regarding AJ Styles VS Matt Morgan, the two men both have reason to look over their shoulders. Styles has been at odds Samoa Joe, Rhino, and D'Angelo Dinero recently, which could spell trouble for Styles if he lets his guard down.

To stack more odds in Morgan's favor, The Motor City Machine Guns will be out in Japan for a New Japan show, leaving Styles with little to no support. On Morgan's side, he has been apart of a brutal break-up with former tag team partner Hernandez, which could spell trouble in this match for "The Blueprint" should Hernandez decide to stick his nose into the match.

Rhino reportedly stormed into Commissioner Mick Foley's office following Impact this week, demanding a title shot with Styles. While he was vague about it, Foley said that he hadn't earned it yet, and that he had multiple other men asking about title shots. When "politely" pressed by Rhino about who these other people were, Foley gave a list of names including James Storm, Hernandez, and D'Angelo Dinero. Foley told Rhino that if he could win in a four way dance with these men on Impact, he could have a shot whenever he wanted.

In our last bit of news, former TNA X-Division champion and winner of the first ever Ultimate-X match Matt Bentley announced on Twitter that he would be attending next weeks Impact. While it is more than likely he will just be watching, anything could happen in the Impact Zone, and we could see a return for the X-Division Legend.

[Thank you all for the feedback on Mick Foley, and the show in general. I appreciate y'all pointing it out and I'm going to learn from it in the future when writing, and try and make up for it. Have a good day y'all! Impact will be possibly tonight, but more than likely Monday or Tuesday. I won't be on much next week as I'll be out of town, but after that things should clear up for a little bit so I can get more consistent on uploads.]
