What work needs to be done to incorporate new TEW2020 features into existing mods?

Recommended Posts

Is there anyone who has free hand knowledge about TEW2020 who can state in a nutshell what needs to be done to existing mods to incorporate all the cool new features?

I'm eagerly awaiting the release of TEW2020 but I only play real world mods (old school only), with the permission of the original creators I'd like to see some of the excellent mods upgraded to 2020 as soon as possible after release.

Would there be a lot of time and graft to put in - or should it be fairly straightforward?

Dojo's will need a new type

Tournament Titles need new settings applied

Broadcasters will need updating

Stable Pictures

Tag Team types

Technical wrestling skill will need updating

Company Products

Worker Attributes

Event intent

Locations can be set to spiritual homes

New Angle categories

Worker experience stat

Possible changes to gimmicks

There's more put off the top of my hand that's all i can think of

I think there will be a bit of work needed (like every new TEW). The conversion tools from previous games could only do so much (broadcasters for example were a major stumbling block for me converting from 2013 to 2016). The likelihood of anyone getting anything decent out the first month or so is going to be slim. You may get some "Franken-Mods" that people transfer over with minor tweaks that don't play great.

I'm personally not releasing anything until I've at least played the game, got used to the new stats/features etc... and know what I will need to update. Of course, that is just me, someone else may be able to sink 12 hours a day into updating a mod and have one out by the first week of release - who knows for sure.
