Which Cverse promotions do you think mostly resemble real life promotions?

I think it's safe to say TCW is supposed to be WCW and SWF is supposed to be WWF, but what do you guys think about the others? Do you guys think ECW is more DAVE or IPW? And I'm not sure of BHOTWG or PGHW is supposed to be NJPW, and does that mean the other is AJPW?

 

But here's my biggest one; what is CZCW supposed to be? I cannot think of a real life counterpart to it. I get that the Cverse promotions aren't necessarily based on real life promotions but most real life promotions could be described as one Cverse promotion or the other.

I more see USPW as late 90's WCW right before Russo became the head booker. Because of all the old guys trying to stay on top. (Also Reverie is a parallel to Ted Turner I always thought), and TCW as a bigger Ring of Honor personally.

OLLIE is closest to CMLL, with either MPWF or SOTBPW being AAA (the lucha libre AAA, not the Angel Athletic Association or the auto service).

CZCW is PWG. </p><p>

MAW is Crockett promotions before the big expansion (and my favorite promotion in the game by far). </p><p> </p><p>

<p>Not an exact science, because they aren't meant to be copies, but:</p><p> </p><p>

USPW is full on WWF in the 80s, with larger than life characters, a family-friendly product, guts & glory Americana. SWF is the modern realised vision of Sports Entertainment. Not quite Attitude Era, but mid 2000s WWE. TCW is tricky to place. In the Hollyweird days, it was definitely a nod to WCW, but now it's probably something more like ROH/AEW/TNA. I always saw CZCW as an homage to PWG, and PSW is (I guess) House of Hardcore. GSW is the equivalent of that short-lived 'urban indie' I can't quite remember the name of right now.</p><p> </p><p>

21CW is basically what FWA would have been if wrestling had been a mainstream attraction in England. I guess the equivalent now would be NXT:UK but on a far bigger scale.</p><p> </p><p>

BHOTWG was a hybrid of 90s All Japan and 90s New Japan, but it seems to have gone full-on NJPW parody now, complete with Bullet Club (and subsequent Civil War) ripoff. PGHW was NOAH at its mid-2000s peak, WLW is very obviously Dragon Gate, and BCG is something like modern AJPW/NOAH. 5SSW is AJW.</p><p> </p><p>

As far as Mexico goes, EILL is AAA and OLLIE is CMLL. EMLL is Lucha Underground.</p><p> </p><p>
