One to chasep197 who has a 93% success rate on predictions on the shows he's predicted on. The other is MaiTyLer who predicted on every show we have held so far and has a 73% rate (highest among people who have predicted on all four shows). I will PM you with your prize.

Great show!

Really enjoyed the show!

Awesome show Historian. Best writer around for sure.

Thank you all for the positive feedback.

Before April Showers officially started, the fans that were in attendance were treated to a special six-man tag team match that wasn't apart of the official card. CWIWrestling.com was able to secure the footage and have put it up on our website for our fans viewing pleasure.

The six highly touted prospects on the CWI roster were in the opening match against one another. On one side of the ring, "Spicy" Pepper Pelton, "Oklahoma Thunderbolt" Jason Patterson, and Matt Blackburn against "Prime Time" Jack Pryde, "California Cool" Charlie Corner, and Zippy Deverell. All six of these men are highly touted prospects that the CWI management is supposedly high on for the future -- but they don't want to over-expose them while they're young and have the fans develop a bad taste in their mouth early on.

Patterson and Pelton each have two years of experience, the other four men are all in their rookie years and show potential to be something in wrestling. The heels all could be major players if they're given the time to develop and that's what was happening here on the preshow. They had just under fifteen minutes of time to showcase some stuff.

On the babyface side, Pelton looked like the biggest potential star. The former football player is handsome and well built with a muscular physique. In a world where size still does matter -- despite what people would have you believe, the top of the TCW, USPW, SWF, CWA, and 21CW lineups all had size on their side, Pelton had the build to succeed. He was able to showcase his power while also letting his partners Patterson and Blackburn showcase their solid fundamentals and classic, old school, white-meat babyface stuff. Neither one of them is particularly flashy in the ring -- though Blackburn does have an innate charisma about him that if he's able to harness could help him become a really valuable member of the roster.

On the heel side, all three of the men have charisma and different kinds of looks. Pryde looks like a million bucks and has the arrogant swagger, the classic, smug kind of heel who flirts with the ladies in the audience and gets that kind of cheap heat that could be really useful. Corner has that laidback California vibe, almost a stoner quality to him and Zippy is high energy and classic southern 'rassler through and through.

The match was very basic. Nothing spectacular. Nothing high risk. It was a preshow match designed to get guys experience. Nobody stood out in a good way or a bad way -- which was helpful. After fifteen minutes of basic wrestling, Deverell hit the Spinning Bulldog on Patterson and got the pinfall victory for the heels.

Writing fifteen different company results was just too time consuming -- so I decided to dial in the focus a little bit to the World Titles (tracking their defenses and changes better) as well as title changes from around the COTT. So instead of seeing each company's full results each month, you'll see title changes. I feel like this will be more reader-friendly as it removes some of the fluff from shows that you might not care about and focuses in on who is getting over.</p>

<p>I'll take comfortable mid table for first predictions! Another great show and also glad to see the game is showing Riley the respect he deserves in NYCW. </p><p> </p><p>

Out of curiosity how many companies have signed deals with WrestleWorld in your save? In my Pro Wrestling: REVOLT save (a rock hard created company which I'm thinking of putting on here as my first attempt at a diary) every other independent company in North America has signed a deal with them and it has sort of put a dampener on my whole "starting a wrestling revolution narrative" I'd written for the company.</p>

<p>Oh cool, so we get like AEW Dark bits too now?</p><p> </p><p>

It's impossible not to draw analogies to your previous work, but if Conner Threepwood is for CWI what Riley McManus has been for RMW/CWL, then I'm calling it now: Nate DeMarcus will be the CWI equivalent of a RMW/CWL Ross Henry or Primus Allen.</p>

nice show, really enjoyed it

Thank you!

MAW, RIPW, CZCW, NYW, QAW, ACPW, PSW, FCW, IPW, GSW -- so essentially all of the indy companies that default start the game. The ones I have added are not on WrestleWorld (because they all started with 0 popularity).

OLLIE also has two broadcasts deals -- one for a weekly television show on Los Deporte Hoy and one for events on El Canal de Hombre.

CILL and EMLL don't have broadcast deals at this point -- so there is a lot of broadcasting going on in North America.

Oh cool, so we get like AEW Dark bits too now?

Every now and then. I like working in the preshow and post-show bits as special stuff for the website. It is hard not to draw analogies, but I'm not decided on anything! More than anything, McManus benefitted from being in the right place at the right time. The plan was for that to be Jebediah and then, well, we know what happened there. Threepwood is a very good wrestler and is filling the role nicely. Hopefully, he'll continue to grow into his role, because I'm enjoying him being a similar blue-collar style babyface, but with a different backstory.

I really like Nate, I won't lie. I've wanted to be in a position to push Nate to a major role. He's young and big and strong and could be something, but he could also easily be poached because of all of those things. That's one thing I really like about starting a company from the ground up, you get to see how your own roster develops. You get to find out who gets over, who sticks around, who you've wanted to push but ultimately flames out. Talent gets poached. You take scraps and cast-offs and build a hodgepodge crew out of them. It's so much fun.

Honestly, if your news updates were literally just Riley McManus updates I'd be fine with that :D

So Connor beats another Samoan. Hope you keep Toma around though. I really like the Samoans that are and aren't related in the cverse. Rather than all being family, there's all these little pockets of brothers and cousins. I also loved the pic of him you were using, so I stole it!! haha!!

Really enjoyed the show overall. Some great match write-ups. Glad DeMarcus got a big win.

A really interesting and well-written show (they even addressed my concern about Nate DeMarcus on commentary, that Marvin is a mind reader), although I am a bit curious about the decision to have your heel faction debut in a loss, I know they can get the heat back in beatdowns and whatnot, but I'm worried about them being marked as losers who can't get it done.

The plans for them in the future are still very strong. Unfortunately, I put myself in a pickle when I booked Steph Blake to win the tournament because in doing so, she beat the strongest potential face challengers and I needed a way for them to get some momentum back so that I could have them challenge for the belt while I started to build some more babyface women who can step up to the plate.</p><p> </p><p> It's why I had Black Diamond eat the pin as she was new and could take the loss without losing any established heat. Have no fear though, The War Maidens should be kept strong in the coming months.</p>

<p></p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="dbsbaKr.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/dbsbaKr.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

He was all smiles as he took the mason jar of white lightning that was offered. He wasn’t old enough to drink. At least, not to drink legally. He wasn’t old enough to go into bars and solicit, but Zippy was from a place where people didn’t much care if the government said you weren’t allowed to have a drink. Hell, he was from a city that was in not one, but two dry counties that raised its middle finger in 2012 to make liquor sales legal. So who was he to turn down a little homemade Lemon Pie? It wasn’t his favorite drink in the world, but tonight it was free and the air was warm and clear and Rianne looked incredible across the way and with enough liquid courage he might make his way over to talk to her. He hadn’t decided yet. The night was young and so was he.</p><p> </p><p>

He took another drink and looked around. The fire in the middle of the circle was going good. Someone had some old Merle playing. Chuckie had his guitar out so he could try to pretend to be a rockstar and impress someone enough to let him take ‘em home. Rianne was talking to Wynonna. Mike was being Mike and had already drank too much and probably smoked some herb to get himself feeling really good. Zip took another drink and passed the jar on. </p><p> </p><p>

He had grown up in a simple home. A couple rooms. A little plot of dirt and clay that was worked over on the weekends when his pops wasn’t in the mine a couple of towns over. He grew up in the shadows of the Cumberland Mountains where moms and pops still owned stores and Chuckie had a rifle in his truck all through deer season and no one batted an eye. He was from moonshine and collard greens and Sunday dinners happening at two in the afternoon after church and everyone was there.</p><p> </p><p>

Zippy wasn’t a hard man to please. He had never asked his parents for much -- not that they had much to give. He had a new pair of shoes every August. He had food on the table and the lights always turned on. He had been happy with that. He had been happy growing up in an area of the country that was caught in a time capsule. Everyone knew his name. People smiled and waved. You could still get groceries on store credit -- and not a plastic card. When his mom get sick, everyone brought flowers and meals and when she died the whole holler he grew up in chipped in to pay for the headstone.</p><p> </p><p>

All his life, Zippy had wanted to be one thing. A wrestler. He grew up with tapes of Sneer’s Southern Class Championship Wrestling. He had grown up loving Jesse Christian and Jack Griffith and Brady Prince. He had hated Blackjack Robbins and Whiskey Jack. He had hated the Assassins. He wasn’t a great athlete in school. He wasn’t a particularly good student. He didn’t have a lot of interests in books or the dead. Didn’t care much for math that wasn’t about how much money he had in the bank account.</p><p> </p><p>

The jar came back around and Zippy realized he hadn’t heard a word anyone was saying. He looked up to see that Rianne was standing just a few feet in front of him. Her long hair was swept back and her chestnut eyes stared at him inquisitively. He remembered to look in her eyes -- his mama taught him young not to be one of those guys who let his eyes wander. In the mixture of the moonlight and flames, she was gorgeous. The kind of woman men fought wars over. Or so he told himself. He didn’t tell her -- she’d probably heard it all before anyway.</p><p> </p><p>

“You say something?” He asked before taking a drink of the jar and passing it on. She rolled her eyes at him.</p><p> </p><p>

“I swear.” She started before shaking her head, deciding he wasn’t worth her anger or dissatisfaction. “I asked if you wanted to drive me home. It’s getting late and I’ve got to work the opening shift tomorrow.”</p><p> </p><p>

Zippy smiled. He was wrestling in Indianapolis. He had good friends and tonight he got to drive Rianne home. It wasn’t much, but it was what he had and he was happy with it. "Absolutely."</p>

“Good shit, Suzi.” Steffi Chee said as she slapped her friend on the back. Brazzle looked up at her friend and smiled.</p><p> </p><p>

“Thanks Stef. We did good out there.” Brazzle replied. They had known each other for years. They had wrestled with and against each other in AAA and on the indy scene. Tonight, they were on the same side of the ring in a big eight-women tag.</p><p> </p><p>

Suzanne Brazzle looked around the women’s locker room. Outside of her and Chee, it was empty now. Blake had taken off first. She hadn’t been feeling well tonight so she took off to go back to her motel room and get some sleep. Frost and Neema and Diamond all took off together. They were all young and about the same age and wanted to do the things that young people do on a Saturday night. Reece and Wells had hung around for a bit, asking questions about what they could do better and how they could get better but they too went off into night to do things that women in their early twenties liked to do.</p><p> </p><p>

Outside of Blake and Chee, Brazzle was old enough to be all of their moms. It was crazy for her to think of. She didn’t think of herself as a woman old enough to have grown children, but she was. She was in the twilight of her career. </p><p> </p><p>

“You need anything before I go?” Chee asked her friend and Brazzle shook her head no. </p><p> </p><p>

“I’m good. I won’t be far behind you.” Suzanne replied and Chee nodded and was gone -- leaving Suzanne with the quiet of the women’s locker room to herself. On most indy shows, the women didn’t get a full room to change to themselves -- just a curtain or sheet or some other sort of divider. It’s not that Marvin Earnest or CWI was super nice -- they just ran a building with enough space to do it.</p><p> </p><p>

Brazzle double-checked to make sure Chee was gone, before she reached into the cooler next to her -- she always brought a cooler with her. She pretended like it was to keep water cold and for an adult beverage or two -- but really it was for the ice packs that she hid deep. She wasn’t ashamed to use ice packs, everyone did, but she was having to use them more and more now. After a match, she had to take three aspirin and ice her knees for twenty minutes before she could drive. Her legs were getting that bad. Her knees were close to shot. Her hips hurt constantly. She lived in constant pain -- and she mostly accepted it, but she didn’t want her peers to know how much pain she was in. She didn’t want them to treat her any differently.</p><p> </p><p>

She knew she didn’t have more than a couple of months left. She just hadn’t publicly announced it. Her in-ring days were winding down. Her body was giving out and at forty-two years old she had earned the right to hang up her boots. She had made plans for her post wrestling career. Or rather, her post-in-ring career. She had accepted an offer from Tamara to be the booker for CWWF. She was enjoying it. Making matches. Creating feuds. She could do that for another twenty years and be fine.</p><p> </p><p>

She pressed the ice packs -- two for each knee -- onto her bare flesh -- which is not doctor recommended and reached back into the cooler for a water. She popped the top of the water bottle off and pushed three aspirin into her mouth and chased them with water. It was cold and refreshing. </p><p> </p><p>

She leaned back in her chair and closed her eyes. She’d be here another twenty minutes and then she’d limp to her car and start making the drive to Baltimore where she was booked on an indy show. She only had to get a couple of more months done and then she could call it quits. She just needed her legs to last a little longer. Just needed a little more life from them so she could finish out her program in CWWF and so she could finish out her program in CWI. She wanted to leave both in-ring products established.</p><p> </p><p>

She took another long drink from her water and shifted. The silence was welcoming. She allowed herself to be enveloped by the quiet room and focus on the cold against her skin. The relief that it brought. Just a few more months. A handful more matches and then these knees could be done. Almost there.</p>

Championship Wrestling from Indianapolis returns to action on the last Saturday of the month of May -- the day before the Indianapolis 500. With the influx of people in the city, we hope they will come out to see the premier professional wrestling action, not just in Indianapolis or Indiana, but in the whole Great Lakes area.</p><p> </p><p>

The <em>Circle City Classic</em> will present the biggest main event yet in CWI -- when SWF and USPW star Frederique comes to Championship Wrestling from Indianapolis to challenge <em>The Indiana Strangler</em> Conner Threepwood for the CWI Championship. Will the twenty-seven year pro, with two decades on the national stage in the United States, defeat Indiana's premier grappler? Or will Conner Threepwood continue his impressive run as the standard-bearer in CWI?</p><p> </p><p>

Steph Blake will attempt to make her first successful defense of the Women's Championship as she puts the title on the line against Steffi Chee. The Rock City Stars will put the Tag Team Titles on the line in a rematch from the March Madness finals against The Wolf Pack.</p><p> </p><p>

All that and so much more!</p><p> </p><p>

Well, he's not Samoan. But Fred's a BIG name, and I think you could do worse than to stick the Title on him.
