Saturday Week 3, February 2020

Live from the Fountain Square Theatre [indianapolis, Indiana, Great Lakes, USA]

74 people in attendance (a decrease of 1 fan from last show)

Commentators: Marv Earnest & Mark Hyatt

qSIrNZu.jpg?1aO4dY56.jpg

Earnest, “Hello everyone and welcome to another exciting night of pro wrestling here at the Fountain Square Theatre in the historic Fountain Square neighborhood of Indianapolis. I’m Marvin Earnest and I’m once again joined at the broadcast table by his mother’s favorite son, Mark Hyatt. Mark, we are here tonight for Hoosier Hysteria and what a lineup we have for our fans tonight. For the first time ever, the Confederation of the Territories World Heavyweight Championship will be on the line as “The Scout” himself, Doc Hammond, puts the title on the line against the newly minted Mid-America Champion, Sayeed Ali.”

Hyatt, “That should be one hell of a match, Marv. Two incredibly tough competitors. Hammond has been in this sport for two decades. He cut his teeth in the barbed wire barbarian battleground known as DAVE. He has been on the national scene for as long as I can remember and tonight he is here to put the World’s Title on the line against the man who declared war on the COTT -- The East Side Assassin Sayeed Ali -- who is looking for another feather in his cap.”

Earnest, “To make matters more interesting, this match has been assigned a special referee. Confederation of the Territories senior official, Jay Fair, is here tonight and will be assigned this monumental contest. Plus the Women’s and the Indiana Heavyweight Title will be decided tonight and who can forget our co main event. For the first time ever, the Confederation of the Territories will crown World Six-Man Champions when American Ambition goes toe to toe with the Canadian Blonds. All that and so much more tonight, so let’s go ringside where Steffi Chee is waiting with the introductions.”

Felicia Luck versus Merryl Lavoie

The opening contest pit Felicia Luck -- who has really been on a roll in singles competition outside of her one loss to the reigning Women’s Champion, Steph Blake. Lavoie is a rookie newcomer to the sport who graduated from the House of Stone training facility in September of 2020. Lavoie is an impactful wrestler who is wrestling in her third professional match here tonight -- which boded well for Felicia Luck. Luck controlled most of the match and continues to cement herself as a top babyface grappler for CWI -- but she did let Lavoie show some of the fantastic basics that she picked up training under Dan Stone Jr. Lavoie also has a lot of charisma and that came through in the way she moved around the ring and got the crowd to hate her despite not knowing her. Luck was able to hit the Lucky Strike and get the victory.

In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but sub-par wrestling, Felicia Luck defeated Merryl Lavoie in 7:25 by pinfall with a Lucky Strike.

"Spicy" Pepper Pelton versus "New York's Finest" Egon Merowitz

Pepper Pelton has been on quite the roll lately. The big man from Wisconsin has been impressive with his Spice Rack and has been really developing as an in-ring talent. Egon Merowitz, the firefighter from New York City was wrestling his second professional match here. The young Merowitz impressed in his independent wrestling debut -- a loss against Danny DeColt -- and looked good in this short contest. It was very physical. Merowitz uses a style that looks like it would be right at home in PGHW or BCG -- one of the Japanese companies that feature big heavyweight strikers. There was nothing phoney or weak-looking in this contest. Egon hit a vicious looking Back Drop Driver on Pelton that folded the big man in half -- but Pelton showed his own intestinal fortitude by kicking out and powering up. Peloton hit a wicked lariat that set up the Spice Rack submission and Merowitz was forced to surrender and Pelton continues to be on a roll.

In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but sub-par wrestling, Pepper Pelton defeated Egon Merowitz in 6:08 by submission with a Spice Rack.

"American Eagle" Roger Monteiro versus Zippy Deverell ©

The first of four title matches on tonight’s show. Zippy Deverell has had a death grip on the Indiana Heavyweight Championship since winning it in July in a surprise victory over Nate DeMarcus. Monteiro has also been on a roll. The Pride of the Cheyenne Nation has been using his Eagle Chop to great effectiveness and his alliance with fellow American Indians Ace Youngblood and Wild Red Stallion has been very successful. The crowd was really into this match. Monteiro has won them over with his ability to sell an ass-whooping and Deverell’s “Hillybilly Outlaw” persona mixed with his fiery promos have gotten him so major heel heat. Deverell still isn’t a pretty wrestler, but he can throw hands and he spent the bulk of the match throwing those hands into Monteiro. Monteiro sold everything Deverell did. His long dark hair flew with each bump he took and the crowd was really behind him. The chants of Mon-teir-o echoed around the Fountain Square Theatre as he made his big comeback. Monteiro’s comeback was full of chops to the chest that bumped Deverell. Monteiro hit a big dropkick and followed that up with an Eagle Chop and we have a new Indiana Heavyweight Champion!

In a bout that had good heat and decent wrestling, Roger Monteiro defeated Zippy Deverell in 12:39 by pinfall with an Eagle Chop. Roger Monteiro wins the CWI Indiana title.

“The Mighty Atom” Izzy Quick versus "The Mistress of the DDT" Steph Blake ©

The second of four title matches. Last month, Izzy Quick’s partner Coco Malloy almost got the job done against Steph Blake -- and this month it was Quick’s turn to test herself against the top woman in CWI and to see if she can be the one to end Blake’s reign. Blake was looking to make her sixth successful defence since winning the championship in March of 2020. This was a very solid match. Blake continues to have an Indian summer to her career. Blake bumped all over for Quick and let Quick control most of the match. Quick’s lucha-libre style and faced paced offence was very exciting for the crowd and Blake was the perfect opponent to use the style again. Blake was bigger and stronger and more of a bully and it was a great contrast in styles. Quick even hit Blake with a DDT that almost got her the victory. Quick went for another DDT, but Blake countered and hit a Slingshot DDT and got the victory.

In a good match, Steph Blake defeated Izzy Quick in 15:43 by pinfall with a Slingshot DDT. Steph Blake makes defence number six of the CWI Women's.

Steffi Chee stands in the ring and is joined by independent wrestling legend, Masked Cougar.

Chee, “Ladies and gentlemen it is my honor to introduce to you CZCW star and former COTT World Champion, Masked Cougar. Mr. Cougar, welcome to Indianapolis.”

Cougar, “Thank you Ms. Chee. It is a great honor to be here in front of such great fans of the sport of professional wrestling.”

Chee, “As excited as we all are to have you here tonight -- we have to ask, why?”

Cougar, “I’m here because of something that happened in December. I’m here because when Chris Caulfield came to Indianapolis to announce the World Six-Man Championship and he was savagely attacked by the Hangman. Now, I am not an ambassador to the COTT. I’m not in COTT management, but in 2011 when MAW, CZCW, and NYCW all agreed to form the COTT, I was there. I’ve been an active wrestler in the COTT for its entire history. I spent eight months as COTT World Heavyweight Champion. I love the COTT and I can’t stand idly by while some kid lays waste to COTT officials. I can’t do it.”

Chee, “So are you saying you’re here for The Hangman.”

Cougar, “That’s exactly what I’m saying I’m here for.”

Before Steffi Chee can ask her next question, “The Hangman’s Body Count” by Volbeat hits the speaker system and the undefeated, unstoppable Hangman began the walk to the ring.

XyUhxy3.jpg?1

Chee tried to step between Cougar and the approaching Hangman. Cougar looked ready for a fight. The Hangman just stared at both of them. He motioned to Chee to rais the microphone to his lips.

Hangman, “Do you hold with him that was meant for the gallows tree?”

Masked Cougar and Steffi Chee look at one another and the Hangman exited the ring leaving the very odd question floating there.

American Ambition versus The Canadian Blonds

The co-main event -- and third championship match of the evening. It is all the first of two World Championship level matches. Nate DeMarcus has been embroiled in a rivalry with the Canadian Blonds since last summer -- and American Gold have recently come to his side. American Gold just won the CWI Tag Team Championship from Goldstein and Savage last month and here they all meet again. The crowd was very into this match. The Blonds have quickly become the top heel trio in the company -- the crowd just loathes the smug Canadians and opposite them, American Ambition are incredibly popular and are probably just behind Conner Threepwood in popularity with the audience. This was a slow, purposeful showcase of great teamwork across the board. American Ambition is a trio of three supreme athletes and they controlled the early portions of the match with their strength, explosiveness, and trust in one another -- but the Blonds and their willingness to bend the rules took over and they isolated English for large portions of the match. The crowd was into everything these six men did and in the end, the match broke down into a wild brawl that saw Nate and Marcus fighting Ozzie and Flash on the outside while Philippe rolled up Chamberlain and grabbed a handful of tights to get his team the victory.

In a bout that had great heat and good wrestling, Canadian Blonds (Philippe LaGrenier, Ozzie Goldstein and Flash Savage) defeated American Ambition (Nate DeMarcus, Marcus English and Maliek Chamberlain) in 21:52 when Philippe LaGrenier pinned Maliek Chamberlain with a handful of tights. Philippe LaGrenier and The Canadian Blonds win the COTT World Six Man titles.

The main event of the evening started with both Ali and Hammond standing on either side of

YxoRT29.jpg

Senior MAW official and senior COTT official, Jay Fair. Chee stood behind Jay Fair with her microphone in position to catch the instructions.

Fair, “This is the main event gentlemen. The World Heavyweight Title is on the line. You have sixty minutes. We want a good clean match. Obey my instructions at all times. Guard yourself at all times. May the best man win. You may shake hands.”

Neither man opted to shake hands. Ali isn’t the greatest sportsman and Hammond knows what kind of fight he’s about to be in for. There was a bit of commotion when former Mid American Champion Conner Threepwood came through the crowd to a ringside seat. He was dressed in street clothes and had a big drink and some popcorn. He held up a ticket so that referee Jay Fair -- and both Hammond and Ali could see that he had purchased a ringside seat for this affair. Ali was definitely not pleased to see him at ringside, but he had bigger fish to fry.

Hammond and Ali had never been in the ring with one another before this night, but they should have. The two men just got each other. This was a slow, ultra-physical match up. Hammond looked like he was back in his DAVE wheelhouse. Hammond has been an ultra-serious technical wrestler (playing on his strengths as a technician) and here he was at his absolute best. He and Ali brawled all around the ring -- which was Ali’s strength -- and Fair showed referee discretion in letting them be outside the ring longer than the ten count. It was clear he wanted this match to end cleanly and in the ring. Ali caught Hammond with a headbutt that busted him open just above the eye and Hammond hit a knee strike that busted Ali open. The crowd was into everything these two men did. Hammond hit a flurry of suplexes on Ali that Ali took perfectly -- but Ali dug deep and kicked out. Ali responded to the suplex barrage with a big flurry of offence on his own -- including a Back Drop Driver that might have been prettier than Egon’s early in the night. Ali hit a flying headbutt from the top rope that almost got him the win.

Both men were bloody messes when Ali hit Doc Hammond with a big Death Valley Driver that got him another near fall. Conner Threepwood was on his feet and cheering on Doc Hammond. He wasn’t doing anything nefarious, he was just being a fan but this pissed Ali off. Sayeed Ali yelled at Conner to “Sit the f**k down and shut up” and Conner yelled back at him to “Pay Attention to your match.” Ali turned around and Doc Hammond hit a brainbuster that he followed up with a Texas Cloverleaf. He wrenched it in and Sayeed Ali did everything he could -- absolutely everything to escape the hold, but Hammond kept in wrenched in. Ali was forced to give the match up and Doc Hammond retained the World Title.

In an exceptional match, Doc Hammond defeated Sayeed Ali in 27:08 by submission with a Texas Cloverleaf after a distraction from Conner Threepwood. Doc Hammond makes defence number four of the COTT World Heavyweight title.

Is this code for "We forgot to pick him up from Shelbyville and now he's stuck"? :p

It might be! Haha. In truth, his performances just weren't great and it's been a year and I'm slowly trying to freshen up my roster, especially on the lower and middle ends of the card.

Great show per usual.

Felicia continues to rack up wins, her eventual rematch with Steph could see the ending of the reign if the War Maidens don't get involved. The War Maidens are still together right?

I liked the look of Egon, but was shocked when you said he was young. He looks like a 50 year old who learned to never let his emotions out. Pepper continues to show the Spice Rack's effectiveness. Classic old-school booking at it's finest, slowly building Pepper's unstoppable nature as long as he can get that hold in.

I was really expecting the draw for the Indiana Heavyweight title, Monteiro winning I didn't see coming. Though I should've since he did beat Sharpe for the match so he had solid momentum. I'm curious what's next for Zippy.

Not much to say about Blake's match, she wants again shows why she is the champion. I liked the comment of her being in an Indian Summer, it's a phrase I never heard but it's added to my lexicon now. Your booking of Steph has made me a big fan of her's. If I have a women's division you bet I'm picking her up.

Hangman returns with a feud against Masked Cougar defending COTT personnel. Defending a legend, I like the story, curious if Caufield will make an appearance with Cougar or maybe even fight Hangman. I see this feud having a few different paths it could down.

Blonds had the longevity in CWI and they needed the win after losing the Two-Man Tag Belts. Now they're teamwork as a Six-Man Team can be on display and they can rep CWI all over the vast COTT.

Loved the nugget of Fair coming to ref and his intro to start the match. Made it feel more important and real. Doc & Ali gave you the best match y'all ever had and the ending protects Ali and gives him a reason to try to run Connor out of CWI. So the rematch is happening I'm assuming, maybe Acid vs Connor first but I doubt Ali would wanna wait, he's not the most level headed guy.

I'm finding it really strange that Ali is being presented as this dominant force when as far as the record book shows he's got a worse than 50/50 record in singles matches in CWI from what I remember (Since I assume the first match with Conner wouldn't go in the record books).

I feel kind of the same with the Zip Squad, Dog Soldiers already beat all the monsters CWI (bar the Hangman) had to offer and now a guy who couldn't get it done, a guy who has lost most of his matches since joining CWI and a team we haven't seen in nearly a year (?) are supposed to threaten them?

Not that these are necessarily bad things, but I'm feeling that inevitable disconnect you get in wrestling between attempting to present it as a real sport and trying to keep a story running.

NNNNOOOOOO! We were promised men who were not ordinary! Mauler is not ordinary!

Well, he's not ordinary but he's definitely not developing into a quality prospect! Maybe in the future he'll get brought back in if there is an opening. I just don't have anything for him to do and I don't want him to just sit at the end of the bench waiting to get put into the game.

I appreciate the feedback! Hopefully, the stories continue to hold your interest. Steph Blake has been a lot of fun to book. I didn't have big plans for her initially, but she has been so impressive that the Women's division hitched their wagon to her.

I understand where the confusion comes from. I'm trying to present Ali more as a wild-violent force than pure dominant. I want him to be angry and vicious and violent but not unstoppable or unbeatable or anything like that.

Part of the booking is specifically done for Marvin Earnest to find his footing. His attributes have him as an old school minded guy who shuns comedy matches and ultra violent stuff and this is his first booking gig so I'm specifically trying to tell the story of him figuring it out -- so that disconnect is done almost intentionally as he taking his lumps as a booker. The other part of it was trying to establish the babyface of the roster as I view the company, at least right now, as a babyface territory -- trying to give the diehards heroes that they can really root for [though in Samson's defense, I think he's won more than he's lost.] I appreciate the feedback! Hopefully in the coming months Marv will be able to find balance!

I have to think with this loss, Zippy has the inside track on a title shot. He seems to be getting pushed as the top babyface in the territory right now.

Connor is a great champ, but he doesn't really need the belt right now -- not with Ali & Acid still around.

Makes some sense to have Ali-Zippy "exchange belts" -- have Ali end up with the Indiana Heavyweight and Zippy take the Mid-American Heavyweight. Monterio would be a "transitional champion" in this case, but he's in a feud and it's a secondary title -- plus, Ali would have both belts, making him look strong.

Have Zippy win the big one in a "fluke victory", the rematch end for the Mid-American ending with a DQ/count out, and the third match for the Indiana Heavyweight end with Zippy losing to Ali clean, setting up a rematch down the road at some point -- where Ali puts Zippy over as the "face" of the territory.

We here at CWIWrestling.com have received the following pieces of video from after Hoosier Hysteria concluded. As has become our norm, we wanted to make the videos available to you.

ajCQd8T.jpgQXbwz0V.jpg8GJOWa9.jpgxIWAXRi.jpg

The video kicks on with CWI Interviewer, Ring Announcer, Agent, and all-around hell-of-a-woman Steffi Chee standing next to Lucinda Lush -- who is flanked by Charlie Corner and Jack Pryde.

Chee, "I'm joined here by The Player's Club. Lucinda, your team here has been on quite the roll since becoming a team. They have scored three straight tag team wins -- including a win over former champions The Rock City Stars. What do you attribute this success to?"

Lush, "To the fact that they're the best new tag team in wrestling. I mean look at them, Steffi. And I mean look at them. Were there ever two men born to be pro wrestlers? Between the two of them, they are nine percent body fat. They're incredible athletes. They are perfect physical specimens and they are what any promoter of professional wrestling would want their wrestlers to be."

Chee, "They certainly have been impressive so far -- but I just received word before this interview that they will not be competing in March Madness. Did you know this?"

Lush, "Did I know this? Of course I knew this. I requested it. My boys aren't competing in an eight-team single night tournament that could open them up to serious injury and against opponents they couldn't prepare for. Even though they would definitely win, I'm not putting them at risk for that. No. Instead, they're going to have March off and in April at April Showers they will be competing against American Gold for the CWI Tag Team Championship and they will cement their position as the best team in this damn company."

Chee, "Well there you have it. In April, at April Showers, American Gold will put the titles on the line against these two men."

Charlie and Jack -- who didn't say anything but stood there and looked good and let their natural charisma rub off on camera are all smiles. as the video feed cuts.

The son of Sam Strong, young PJ Strong is standing alone in front of a large banner that says CWI. The big man is looking directly at the camera. Next to him is CWI's resident do-everything, Steffi Chee.

Chee, "I'm joined now by PJ Strong. PJ -- you made your professional wrestling debut back in November when you showed up as the mystery partner for the Dog Soldiers and helped them win the final match in their long program with Andrew Gibson and his Genesis group. At New Year Scramble, you were beaten by James Diaz -- who had some help from Danny DeColt and then suffered a beat down after. It's been a month, what is going on in your head?"

Strong, "Well you know something Steffi Chee, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't upset. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't fed up. I came to pro wrestling because I wanted the competition. I wanted to stand on my own two feet. This isn't a team sport. There's no hiding here. It's up to you as an individual and you know, I came out in November and I showed the wrestling world that I didn't just have the largest back in the sport, that I didn't just have twenty-six-inch pythons and a million-dollar smile. I showed the world that I have what it takes to be at the top of this sport when I dropped a leg over James Diaz's throat, sister, and when I lifted the unliftable mammoth, that maniacal monster, that colossal creten, that sadistic savage, Dreadnought high into the air and slammed into the mat for the first time, sister. I showed the world that PJ Strong is here to run wild and back in January I stood in that ring with James Diaz. No where for him to hide. Man against man. They way it's supposed to be, sister, but James Diaz didn't want to fight honorably. He didn't want to fight man to man. That no good wretch had his manager, the money man himself, the man calling the shots, bring in another guy to make sure that I didn't get it done -- because they knew that no one in their little group could beat me man to man."

Chee, "Obviously next month is the March Madness tournament -- are you going to be in it?"

Strong, "Unfortunately I can't be. Because when Andrew Gibson and his band of men jumped me -- they went after my knee. Everyone knows my history with my knee. They know what happened when I was chopblocked at the end of my junior year of football. They know that it was surgically repaired and they reinjured it. That's why I didn't wrestle tonight. That's why I won't be in March Madness -- but I'll be cleared in April for April Showers. I'll be cleared for a singles match against Danny DeColt and PJ Strong is going to run wild over all of Genesis!"

All of Genesis is standing in front of the CWI Banner.

Gibson, "PJ Strong, listen closely. I know that's difficult for you, but I need you to listen -- wherever you are at. You can stop this. You can save yourself and your career. Just listen to reason. You are the son of the most famous man in professional wrestling. You belong with us. You belong in Genesis with these three men. These three that are ushering in the rebirth of professional wrestling right here in Indianapolis. You belong here. Go to CWI management. Tell them you don't want to wrestle Danny DeColt in April -- instead you want to team with him. Tell them that you are ready to sign a contract to be apart of Genesis and have Andrew Gibson as your official representative. Make the smart choice, PJ."

Gibson paused.

Gibson, "Otherwise you're going to end up like the seven other teams competing in March Madness next month. You're going to end up a broken man! Because at March Madness, Dreadnought and James Diaz, these two men that were Bred for Battle, they were born for destruction and chaos. They're going to be in the tournament. Last year, they got disqualified by a scared official who couldn't understand that they are just different men. They fight different, they wrestle different. They were born different -- and this year, they're going to win the whole thing. They're going to bring the March Madness trophy back to Genesis. They are going to prove to all of the people in that building and all of the idiots on the internet that they are the beginning of a new era. An era of the superior athlete. An era led by them. You will all find out at March Madness when Bred for Battle dominates everyone."

Championship Wrestling from Indianapolis was in action in Bloomington at Bloomington East High School to help the Geography Club raise money for new maps. The show was very well received.

The opening match saw Danny DeColt defeat Jason Patterson.

In an excellent tag team match, the match of the night saw The San Diego Girls beat Ruby Reece and Sabrina Wells. This match really brought the fans to their feet.

Mr. Grappling continued to impress the local crowds when he hit his signature DDT on rookie Egon Merowitz to get the victory in the semi final match up.

The main event saw Roger Monteiro make his first successful defence of the Indiana Heavyweight Championship when he defeated "Prime Time" Jack Pryde in a quality match that really won the local fans over.

Championship Wrestling from Indianapolis will next be in action with the March Madness tournament later this month.

Championship Wrestling from Indianapolis returns to action on Friday Week 3 of March 2021 for the second annual March Madness tournament. The eight-team tournament made waves last year when it crowned the first ever CWI Tag Team Champions. This year, the winning duo will receive a shot at the Tag Team Titles at the Circle City Classic event. We will get to teams in a minute, but let's talk about what else is on the show.

In a grudge match, Acid and Conner Threepwood will compete once again to settle the score. If Conner Threepwood wins, he gets a rematch against Sayeed Ali for the Mid-American Championship. If Acid wins, Conner Threepwood cannot challenge for the championship so long as Sayeed Ali holds it. The stakes are high in this match up. Can the veteran Acid get the big victory or can Conner Threepwood rebound and get himself a singles match against Sayeed Ali?

"The Mistress of the DDT" Steph Blake will put her Women's Title on the line once again, this time against "Rowdy" Ruby Reece. Reece made the challenge on social media and the champion accepted. Can Reece be the one to stop Steph Blake's reign? Or will she become another notch in the champion's belt?

Urena Frost will take on newcomer Yvonne Ericks in a match that is a big test for the young Canadian. Can she shock the wrestling world by beating one of the top women in CWI? One of the foundational members of the War Maidens? Or will Frost get the win and show that she's more than just a tag team specialist?

Nate DeMarcus will also be in action against newcomer Egon Merowitz in what should be a very physical contest.

Now for the teams in the tournament.

BRIVVCX.jpgwCf7Az5.jpg

The number one seed in the tournament, The Dog Soldiers (represented by Ace Youngblood and Wild Red Stallion). The Dog Soldiers have been on a roll recently and Wild Red Stallion has been very impressive working with his mentor Ace Youngblood. They are the team with the most momentum in the tournament. Will they be able to ride their momentum to a victory and a future title shot?

Stj1Aep.jpgykDf8Lg.jpg

The number two team is The Wolf Pack. The Pack have been busy in Mid Atlantic Wrestling recently where they have been cementing themselves as the top team in the Mid Atlantic area. Last year, they went to the finals of the tournament before losing to The Rock City Stars. They have vowed to win this year and get their CWI careers back where they want them to be.

v741j45.jpgWYI1FL0.jpg

Coming in from IPW is the team known as Minnesota Awesome. The former IPW Tag Team Champions are a great young duo that hail from, well, Minnesota, and are making their CWI debuts in this tournament. They have a championship pedigree and the young duo could surprise everyone with a big win in the tournament and cement themselves as a force in CWI.

iqzc6iZ.jpg4Bu7oUK.jpg

Last year, Bred for Battle was disqualified in the second round of the tournament when they failed to listen to referee instructions. They stumbled as a group at the end of 2020 against The Dog Soldiers, but Dreadnought and James Diaz seem as focused as ever and are looking to the March Madness tournament to make a statement that they are the top team in CWI and this will be a stepping stone for them to dominate the entire division.

5uZHL0H.jpgEqLc486.jpg

The Dog Soldiers are also represented by newly minted Indiana Heavyweight Champion Roger Monteiro and his cousin, Walter Blackhawk in the tournament. There are a lot of unknowns about this team, but Roger Monteiro has been on a roll recently and if he and his cousin are half as good together as Roger is by himself, they could be very dangerous in this tournament.

EbIuk35.jpgYTKtm29.jpg

Making their debut as a team, Danny Decolt and his cousin, Xander DeColt, known collectively as the DeColts Reborn, are entered into the tournament. Not a lot is known about this duo -- because they've never teamed before; however, they are cousins and third-generation stars who grew up in the business and should make a formidable duo.

Majow6i.jpgyBWqNYi.jpg

Last year, Patterson and Blackburn made their debut as a tag team. They have not seen a lot of success as a duo up until now but they have petitioned CWI management for an opportunity to prove themselves here and jumpstart their careers. Can they be the Cinderalla story or will they fail to get it done?

kCrEAfB.jpgBfp5A7w.jpg

At Hoosier Hysteria, the Taggs shocked the world by returning to CWI and seemingly aligning themselves with Zippy Deverell and Samson Sharpe. The brothers from Montana are known to be big and mean and very physical and could be very dangerous in this tournament.
