[RELEASE] Real World Chronicles 2024

Recommended Posts

I checked with "Fast and Furious" for New Japan now btw and the ratings make more sense to me now (not necessarily being higher, just making more sense when you compare how it would get reviewed if it was to happen in real NJPW), even though I didn't try some Jr. Tag Three Way or something yet that happens regularly in NJPW and is well liked but got killed with the Modern Puroresu whatever product.

Might want to check on NWA. It seems like most of their titles and the show Power is missing from the April 2020 save, unless I did something funky why tweaking in the database.

Definitely in for me. By April 2020 do you mean the TEW 2016 data?

I've never played a real world mod before, how does it work with new workers being generated? Do you get a batch of guys with cornellverse pictures pop up every year?

a batch of guys and gals with no pictures, unless you have free pictures assigned in the database if you have generation on.

Currently they generate without a picture (or not at all, you can turn it off when there's no associated free pics) but someone is working on a free picture pack that will be ready to go for the next release. :)

Can you get the updates for whatever mod you are using and put that into your save? By which I mean, say I'm booking wwe from a mod that starts in January 2020, would I be able to put an update for the mod I'm using into my game world without for instance Ryder and Gulak etc all suddenly being unemployed?

Some of the products are a little off. NWA isn't Modern Throwback as they aren't using a lot of the workrate stuff, I think they are Classic Southern Wrestling. The AI books the shows more accurately based on that product and makes more sensible hiring choices (On Modern Throwback, they hired Low Ki of all people!). IMPACT are set as Attitude Era but I think that works for them. ROH may need a glance as I'm not sure Fast and Furious are what they do anymore as they are trying to revamp.

I'd still argue this mod is going to be the most accurate one in the long run as it actually presents a challenge to book rather than bumping stats up to make sure people get good grades no matter what.

Having tried to watch the syndicated ROH show in the past, I can certainly say that Fast and Furious is definitely NOT what they present. More like Slow as Molasses.

I think in my current mod, they're set as Respectful Wrestling. They have climbed to a major player in a year of play. They weren't that aggressive in stealing talent, kept a majority of their core roster when it wasn't raided.

NJPW look good on Fast and Furious though the AI is absolutely flouting the rule that workers take it easy on touring shows and pulling out high 90s whenever they want, for NWA I feel Classic Southern Rasslin' is best but I'm having a look at Lighthearted Entertainment because their TV usually has really short matches... but that would hamstring their events. ROH I've got on Respectful Wrestling and AEW are back on Wrestling Nerd Nirvana.</p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Mattywood" data-cite="Mattywood" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="47535" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Having tried to watch the syndicated ROH show in the past, I can certainly say that Fast and Furious is definitely NOT what they present. Excellent work on the mod. I think the stats are reasonable and accurate. One thing I noticed so far is Samoa Joe should probably have colour commentator selected since he's been doing that a lot recently and looks like a transition for him. Also adding storylines especially to the big North American promotions would be helpful to get the save started.

So any other companies you set up with starting storylines, that work is "lost" once you start a save.</p><p> </p><p> It's definitely possible to do so, but it's going to be a ton of work for very little user gain so there's an opportunity cost when that time could be spent on other areas of the mod.</p><p> </p><p> Just my $0.02</p>

Called it the April 2020 because that's what the edition was still called in the database editor.</p>

Couple of things I've found out whilst doing research on my mod that could be added to this one;

Additional Workers:

Lady Frost (as Red Queen) is now in CHIKARA

Victor Benjamin (as One-Eyed Jack) is now in CHIKARA

They are married in real life to each other.

The Spoiler is in CHIKARA. I think it is a Wrestle Factory graduate but I've not found much out about him at all.

Rename:

FaceBrooke is now going unmasked in MCW as Steph De Lander. She won the 2019 MCW Invitational and was also their first women's champion.

Arisa Hoshika has had to retire.

I'm a newbie to the TEW series and I've been playing around with the different real world mods, I think this one is definitely the best I've seen!

One thing I did notice though, some of the title prestiges seem really high, paritcularly for lesser companies. Random example but CZW's Tournament of Death at 85% is higher than everything in WWE.

I don't know how much title prestige matters but its something I noticed. Loving the mod so far though!

Just checking in and things looking pretty good! You’ve done some good work here - do you think the June release will be full or still beta?

I'm still gonna call it a beta to satisfy my own perfectionism but it will be damn close to full. Every company should be fully playable without hiccups and I'll hopefully have sorted quite a lot of free agent attributes by then as well.

This will be sorted in the next release. I don't know if it does anything either, I think it's more organizational because you can now compare prestige between companies whereas in 2016 it was specific to the company.

Switching it back to May/June 2020 will work just fine.</p>

You said close in June. So would you say in August it would be playable for a long term game?
