Grey Dog Software has recently made it very clear that we aren't allowed to link directly to donations on their forums to ensure they're covered if anything was to go wrong, but they've graciously allowed people to do it through third party websites such as social media. Therefore, I've created a Twitter account to simply link people to my (or more importantly my wife's) PayPal account. Please be aware that all my modifications are and ALWAYS WILL BE freeware and I do them because I enjoy it, but if you would like to give me something in return then it'll be truly appreciated. Thanks.

Hey Mammoth! I absolutely adore this mod and can't wait for the 2020 version. Of all the saves I did in TEW 16, my Territory Daze one was always the slowest to advance because of how much time I'd spend just browsing the world and reading bios. It's really great!

I do have a few suggestions, if you're interested in those at this point. I'm not sure how relevant they'll be with the new game coming out. I recently ran a couple long term watcher sims to see how the world progressed and to test some ideas I have for my 2020 game. This is what I noticed:

--Most of the AI companies seem to immediately drop their Figureheads. Some adjustments to the pop/stats of those workers might be necessary to keep them in those roles.

--A number of workers (Ricki Starr, Jay York, Brian Glover, Pepper Martin, Mil Mascaras, Pat Roach, El Santo, Mark Tendler) begin with the Movie Star trait. I get that these guys all did some movies, but I don't think any of them rise to the level of Movie Star which should really be reserved for guys like The Rock. Their roles weren't significant enough to merit a worldwide popularity boost, which is the effect of this trait. So, by 1972, all those guys have at least 72 worldwide pop, whereas the next highest, Pat O'Connor, is at a measly 33.

--Many US companies begin with 80 pop in their home regions. I get why this number is so high in theory, but I think it needs to be balanced with the quality of shows they're capable of putting on. Basically, none of the companies can hit 80 show grades, so you end up seeing years of companies declining in popularity in their home regions, which doesn't feel in the spirit of the mod. I feel like the initial pop should be set lower so companies have a chance to grow. Of course, the pop system as well as AI booking capabilities have been overhauled for 2020, so all this might be moot. I'd keep an eye on it, though!

A shortlist of workers I think merit inclusion, sorted by their debut years:

1967

Samson Kutsuwada (original All Japan guy)

1970

Akio Sato

Al Madril

Alexis Smirnoff

Ted Oates

1971

Doug Somers

El Signo

Jean Gagne/Frenchy Martin

Mano Negra

Tinieblas

I'd planned to continue combing the internet to find more guys to add but haven't quite gotten around to it.

Again, I think this mod is a masterpiece, so I hope this comes off as constructive criticism! Thanks Mammoth!

<p>Just to let everyone know, I've been updating Territory Daze before Shifting Sands. I think I've done everything outside of workers now so I'll be going through the workers and sorting everything that needs to be sorted, and then I think I'll be in a position to release Version 1 for TEW20. I can't give an estimated time of arrival because it's taken me a while to get here and workers will probably take me twice as long. However, I'll keep you all posted as much as possible and hopefully I can get through them quite quickly and we can all - myself included - try the modification on TEW20 for the first time.</p><p> </p><p>

Just to warn everyone, this will only be an update for TEW20 and there won't be any added workers or anything like that initially. Once I've made a base for TEW20, I can then work on updates which would include more workers and maybe more on other things too.</p>

This could become incredibly interesting with the pop changes in 2020. Only 2 feds started at Cult in 2016, and now, if I'm remembering correctly, there could be a hell of a lot at Medium. That means written contracts so it'll be interesting to see how the feds work. Some in the 1985 mod I've been fiddling with go back to handshakes on renewals (starting everyone with random length writtens) while others are all out written deals, problematically Japan. It'll definitely be interesting.

I'm only on the "B's" at the moment which probably doesn't sound like very much but I had about ten days off due to illness in that time. Ensuring workers gimmicks are set up properly, their in-ring style is appropriate (due to new choices like "Powerhouse" and "Impactful"), their popularity is set correctly due to some changes I have made, their skills are still in line with where I want them, and - of course - their attributes reflect them as a worker are all long and laborious tasks, but I'm hoping the effort I'm putting in will be worth it upon release. I'm doing roughly 25-50 names a day which - again - doesn't sound like very much but it's showing me enough daily progress to keep me interested and motivated to keep going so we'll get there eventually.</p><p> </p><p> Also, I'd like to publicly thank you for your donation. It truly means a lot. Thank you. <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

Any idea of a tentative release date? Even a beta release?

I've done between 400 and 500 workers (which as I announced before is the only thing left to update) thus far so I've got just under 1,000 left. So yeah, it's been a long and laborious task as expected. However, the pace has been picking up considerably in the last couple of weeks so I'm hoping I'll be able to release the first draft in a month or two. It won't be tested though as I usually do this publicly anyway rather than sending to individual people so it'll be somewhere between official release/beta release. I know it's been a long wait (and it's going to be an even longer wait for Shifting Sands for those of you still wondering) but updating from TEW16 to TEW20 has been pretty extensive; I honestly don't know how anyone has got anything released any quicker. xD
