Saw these and thought they were worth cutting from second round of King of DDT on June 20th. "4 Paulies"

I have decided to start work on a 1998 mod. Why? because 90, 96 and 97 were already done. I'm not sure when I will release this as there is a lot of work and research to do first.

I'm also finishing off the 92 mod with a few more fixes.

I am enjoying Diablo X, great mod, thanks. Also, I want to start a long term save in 1992 mod but I think that future workers need to be updated. For example, Roman Reigns has really low star quality and athleticism. Also, Seth Rollins is like that. Do you wanna update the future workers on a future release? (Sorry for my bad English)

Just an update to 1998.

I will be using the 1992 mod as a kick off base, however I have deleted every promotion and will import the promotions (and title histories up to 1992). This means at the start, the wrestler count will be huge, but the companies data will not have the same number as the 92 mod.

Focus will start at WWF, WCW, ECW, CMLL, AAA, NJPW, AJPW with a couple of others thrown in. Once I've got this base down, I will release a beta for people to go over and make sure there are no mistakes. I am not taking requests for companies as I know who I want in it and who will be added over time. I will add a few future promotions too before the beta (ROH, TNA, PWG for example).

I have also gone through and tried to set those who had retired by this time as well as any deaths that occurred. Of course this is a huge number of workers to go through so I may have missed some (hence the need for a beta).

This doesn't mean it will be out quickly. There is still months of work to be done.

Would ECWA be one of the promotions to make the cut? Would be interesting to see the Super 8 running from near it's start.

They are one of the promotions I'm looking to have in at the start but depends how long the rest of it all takes.

Currently the rosters for WWF and WCW are complete, although WCW is bloated beyond belief with around 94 in ring workers currently on their roster. I have added TNT (UK) which was open from 1995 until 2000 in order to simulate how the UK watched WCW Nitro and Thunder. It has Very Small coverage as I believe it was only available on the old Cable & Wireless (now Virgin Media) system after Cartoon Network finished for the day. It wasn't available on Sky from what I can remember.

I'm going to work on ECW next before shifting over and doing NJPW and AJPW.

TNT was definitely available on Sky - I remember Cartoon Network switching over to TNT when it finished broadcasting, and I only ever had Sky TV, not Cable.

The "time-sharing" set-up they had with Cartoon Network - and that it was different in different European countries - makes it quite complicated in TEW terms, though, and I think either Small or Very Small would still probably reflect that both Sky and Cable still weren't available in all homes, and that it was a channel that only aired for a few hours a day.

Ah I see. I don't know what made me think it wasn't on Sky. It is a tricky one to try and get working on TEW.

A 1998 mod sounds excellent! Just out of curiosity, will it be January (pre-Michaels injury) or April (post-Mania)?

It will start January as (for selfish reasons) I want to book NJPW Tokyo Dome show with Riki Choshu's 5 retirement matches.

I'm reasonably confident that in 1998 it will have been on both, though.</p>

Chronicles 1992 is now updated on the first page. For those who want to know the updates and how this mod has progressed before downloading, below is the entire read me file that can be downloaded with the mod. This is playable (and should be up to modern times). It was built using Eye of the Storm (one of my top 5 mods to play) however, I think it has built upon that mod significantly in terms of updating and additions.

=======================

Changes from real life:

=======================

* In 1992 the Tour in May for New Japan was called "NJPW Crush The Super Heavy III". This has been renamed "Best of The Super Juniors" for the mod.

=======================

Beta Version

=======================

* Conversion of the data to fit the new way TEW 2020 plays.

* 1000+ new yet to debut workers. (Over 5000 workers in total in the database).

* Redone Broadcasters.

* Yet to debut workers WILL be using the organic bio option because they are technically blank slates. The player is free to update their bio's as they go if they like, but none of these workers have done anything in the wrestling business yet so bio's cannot be pre-written for them.

* Various stat tweaks to nearly all workers - nothing drastic as I think justxyank was pretty much spot on for the majority of people.

* Updating ages and debuts for some workers (might miss some so if I do, feel free to let me know).

* I have removed some promotions from the data that I couldn't find any info on to reduce bloat.

* I changed the New England based Can-Am All Star Wrestling promotion run by Killer Kowalski to International Wrestling Federation.

* I have updated rosters if someone was missing. I removed a couple of people from promotions they didn't work with until later in 1992.

* Americo Rocca renamed Ponzona in CMLL. A gimmick he was using from September 1990 in the promotion until about 1994.

* Bengala renamed Principe Odin Jr. as he did not take the Bengala gimmick until 2009.

* General Adnan added to WWE on a 1 month deal as he was still with the company until just after the Royal Rumble.

* Black Warrior named Bronce in CMLL

* Added Damian El Guerrero to the data

* Added Oro to the data

* Added Plata to the data

* Added Stable Guerrero del Futuro to CMLL

* Added Stable Los Metalicos to CMLL

* Added Dave Johnson to the data (Blackheart Devastation)

* Added The Blackhearts team consisting of Dave Johnson & Tom Nash

* Set The Blackhearts team consisting of Vampire Warrior & Tom Nash (AJPW & Stampede) to Inactive

* Botswana Beast added to WWC as Atkie Malumba

* Bozz Berry renamed Boz Berry

* Updated Company Relationships

* The New Foundation set to Active in WWF (Team still active until February 1992)

* High Energy set to Inactive in WWF (Team didn't form until March 1992)

* Reworked AJW rosters Stamina & Experience

* Fixed an issue where some yet to debut workers were starting retired (oversight from the import process)

* Jimmy Snuka removed from ECW (He didn't appear there until April 1992).

* Removed Gordon Scozzari's AWF. Gordon himself said by 1992 he'd lost interest due to a personal tragedy. I have kept the Puerto Rican version in.

* Added Bobby Jay to the data (WFWA)

* Added India Sioux 0

* Added Monsther II

* Added Ulises Jr.

* Added Desastre Total Ultraviolento (DTU) to open in 2007

* Added Blood Relationships (India Sioux 0 Dinastia)

* Added Married Relationship (Hombre Bala & India Sioux 0)

* Set Rey Bucanero Mask to Weak (He didn't lose the mask until 1999 so should be masked)

* Flying Kid Ichihara renamed Akihito Ichihara in his FMW contract. Removed from CMLL (as he did not appear there until March 1993 in a one off as Ultrataro)

* Tony Salazar set to Occasional Wrestler. He was not retired in 1992 and was using the name Ulises in CMLL. He fully retired around 1993.

* Added Blood Relationship between Super Medico, Rico Suave and Jose Estrada Jr.

* Added Ricky Sexton (AWF-PR)

* Edited AWF Puerto Rico (along with their titles)

* Renamed WWC to Capitol Sports Promotions as they did not change their name until 1995. A narrative has been set up for 1995 to change the name etc... of the promotion. The titles seem to have carried the "WWC" name still so I've left them as is.

* Restructured Alliances (renamed the WWC alliance to it's full name)

* Fixed the British Heavyweight title lineage (ASW)

* Fixed all the British title histories

* Fixed the Lasser/Skayde confusion. Lasser (Jorge Vega Oriel) was the orignal Skayde, however, the more well known Skayde was Jorge Rivera Serrano (he never played Lasser). Lasser was in UWA as El Sagrado (original, not the current one) in 1992 and it was Rivera Serrano who played Seminarista (but not until 1993) - I cannot find a picture of the La Flecha gimmick Rivera was portraying in UWA in 92 so I have set him as using the Seminarista gimmick. What made this more confusing, is both men have been in multiple tag teams together over the years and have somehow become the same person in many mods over the years.

* Added Lemus Jr.

* Removed "The" from The Dirtbike Kids name

* Tim Patterson (Mercenario I) edited as he is not the same Tim Patterson who used the Leatherface gimmick.

Question for the 92 mod: Is the WWF having no US PPV deliberate or an oversight?

Also, The WWF cannot use the Royal Rumble Match due to it only being available for Large size companies. You might also want to set the minimum match time to 45 minutes and max time to 90.

=======================

Changes In Version 1.4b

=======================

iN DEMAND renamed Viewers Choice (US)

Viewer's Choice renamed Viewer's Choice (Canada)

WWF given a PPV deal with Viewer's Choice (US)

Viewer's Choice (US) change to iN DEMAND in 2000

Viewer's Choice (Canada) go back to being just Viewer's Choice in 2000

Logo changes to Viewer's Choice (Canada) in 1993 and 2004.

WWF set to Big from Medium

Royal Rumble set to be able to be shown by Medium sized companies (in case WWF drop)

Royal Rumble now Minimum time 45 minutes. Maximum time 75 minutes.

Uploaded the fixed version.

EDIT: and whilst I remember, I fixed the original Viewers Choice logo.
