I saw everyone giving attributes for wrestlers and I think they're really fun and decided I would add my thoughts.

Shane Douglas

Amazing Heel (I know he has been a babyface but is really an all out heel so maybe 100%?)

Shoots From The Lip (I mean, it's basically his gimmick.)

Then add the negative relationships with The Kliq and Ric Flair which are well documented.

James Maritato

Life Long Underdog

John Kronus

I also noticed Stevie Richards has 0 pop.

Thanks for all these, I shall get them added. Yeah, it seems a lot of less established wrestlers slipped through the net.... like an entire generation! I've nearly rectified this (I've about 70 left of the initial 411 to do).

I gave both WWE and WCW a boost. Both are now considered Big - (mid to high 80's in US). I attempted to put them in the 90's but that just threw everything off and to be honest, I did not fancy going through hundreds (maybe more) workers to recalibrate the balance for a fourth time! Both being big I think is good enough for TV ratings, there is room for growth, and wrestlers can still grow with the company without the dreaded "We don't have enough stars" warning. I did give a few of the WWF guys a small pop boost as I seem to have underestimated them (Shamrock, Owen Hart, LOD etc...) I need to find a way to stop ECW from cancelling their relationship with WWF on day 1 too.

Complete so far...

What happens if you make WWF and ECW sister companies?

Or, maybe even make ECW a WWF developmental, since they were giving them money and talent around this time. IE Brakkus.

I gave them a Development deal but they cancel it straight away. The Sister company idea sounds like a good one that may work. I'll give that a try. I want to avoid WWF owning ECW outright but I may have to for it to simulate the way I want it to.

Presumably ECW and WWF splitting up would have something to do with the owners' personalities - particularly Vince being opposed to working with other promotions?

It's a bit of received wisdom that Vince is an isolationist, but that's not strictly true in this time period - not only would the WWF be helping bankroll ECW and sending talent there, they were still working with AAA talent on Super Astros, were only a year away from working with OVW, and were doing the NWA invasion stuff.

I might be way off the mark, but I think tweaking owner personalities might be a better solution than going with something like making the WWF own ECW, which I think would probably throw off other aspects of the game, particularly how ECW itself would operate.

The product of the wwf should be "Attitude Entertainment" and not "Classic Sports Entertaining".

AI Booking Style: Maybe "Evolving Western" for the western (USA, Canada, Europe) companys, "Evolving Puro" for japanese companys and "Evolving Lucha" for mexican companys?

Edit:

I have searchend for Road Agents with 0 experience. This are all Worker with more than 15 activ years:

Yes it's part of the mod that got missed when moving people with 0 experience in 1992 who should have some experience in 1998. I have certainly learned a lesson from this... do not use a mod that starts earlier to build another mod that is 6 years in the future! It actually produces an abomination of a data set that ends up almost getting deleted.

Big is a much more suitable size for WCW. I hope I didn't come off poorly when I brought up the size initially. I'm over worked, burned out, and barely sleeping these days. I've been told I've seemed kind of snippy, so figured I'd apologize if that's how it came across.

Couple other random bits:

- “Hollywood” Bob Starr should be removed from ECW roster

- Stevie Richards should have a 4 month starting absence, as he was out having neck surgery at this time (the one that messed up his vocal chords)

- Justin Credible is married to someone outside the business

- Beulah McGillicutty should have Outside Interests trait as she leaves the business mid-98

Nope it didn't come across like that to me. I know how you feel though. I don't remember the last proper sleep I got and have had to drop my hours at work just to get through the day.

I believe I have now caught up with myself on the thread. There are going to be a lot more attributes assigned (although still this will be a wip). I really wanted to get employment histories done for WWF, WCW, ECW, AAA, CMLL, NJPW and AJPW for version 1 but that is going to definitely have to wait for a future update as there's no way I'll finish it by the weekend. It does look like Sunday will be release day now.

So everything people have mentioned should now be fixed. What a f'n rabbit hole I went down with this one! I think from now on I will build mods from the ground up because it is not much more work.

I was watching some old WAR and W*ING matches earlier and it prompted the inclusion of WAR into the mod for version 1... and I have also cheekily added Wrestle Yume Factory just because I don't see them in many historical mods and thought why not seeing as most of their roster were already in the data.

I have a few more things I want to do before I release it so we will say Sunday late morning/early afternoon (UK time) for a release.

Great job smashing this out. I literally can't wait to try it out. Thank you for your hard work :)

Totally appreciate all the work you’ve poured into this mod. Having worked with clients who don’t get how much effort goes into what they see as ‘small changes’ to their projects, I can understand how complicated updating everything must have been if starting from scratch would have been easier!

Looking forward to seeing this drop :)

New Release

Soooo... hopefully this plays a lot better than the previous version - as with all mods, this will probably still have mistakes but I have not noticed anything game breaking so long term games should be good to go.

Is it correct that the WWF is medium and the WCW is large?

I thought they were both set as big so it is wrong if that is what it is showing as I spent ages balancing them both.

EDIT: I've seen what's happened. WWF's popularity in Mexico is lower than it should be. I set it originally at 40, but for some reason when I've checked just then it's at 5... New data uploaded to fix this. This data will be the death of me!

WCW is not showing as large on mine so I have no idea why it would be on yours.

At WCW, I meant big. My mistake.

Having a blast so far!

Just wanna quickly get a thing in though, sorry if you've already explained it or something, I'm dumb and I miss things.

But from what I can gather online, I think the Four Horsemen were seperated in September 1997, and only came together again a year later as that weird thing that led to the Revolution.

I might be wrong though. Wasn't exactly around to witness it at the time. lol

Also, I believe you meant to set Rick Rude as Support for nWo, but you've got him as muscle atm.

Forgot to mention, thanks for all the hardwork brother. I am finally able to tell a story I've wanted to tell for many years and this mod starts at the perfect time.

Cheap plug, but if anyone is interested, I am doing a WCW diary here

*Edit*

Just spotted a dupe, Vladimir Kozlov should probably be deleted as Oleg Prudius is his non-WWE name and has the alter egos
