The C-Verse Re/Render Project: Episode IV: A New Hope

Recommended Posts

Alright, it took some time but here's the link to the zip for my default TEW 2020 worker picture folder much like what I posted for 2016 just before the new beta released.

As before, huge thanks to all of the great renderers for this game, without you guys I wouldn't be going through the database for hours and constantly updating worker photos. I have included the text files where I attempt to give credit for all of the renders included. Please let me know if you see one that is credited incorrectly or know who to credit in the case I had no idea.

Also included is the folder of all the alts I created to help fill in the database. I ended up adding over 30 more so it's right at 540 alts. All of these alts are included in the full people folder, they were separated out for ease of organization should anyone just want the alts for renders they're using. For that reason I'll also post this link in the alt thread.

If you see any errors with double pictures, please let me know. I caught a few from my 2016 folder and had to rework a bunch of people due to a number of formerly free renders now being new workers in the 2020 database.

Can anyone who hasn't done Scythe now cross him off their list? I think people have enough takes now.

Some more quick freepictures from WMMA:

So what I am reading is that you just want Scythe renders from this point on.

I personally would encourage any render creators out there both old and new to re-render whomever they like with as many iterations as they fancy :)

People can make who they want, and replying to someone’s work (that they spent potentially hours and coin on) with an eye roll and a dismissive comment is patronising, rude, and brings the community down. The last few Scythes have been great.</p>

<p>I hope so, because if that's what we're starting to do now: doing "reads" of each other's posts...</p><p> </p><p>

<em>"The last few Scythes have been great.</em>" I thought the first posted Scythes were awesome too. Are you saying they weren't?</p><p> </p><p>

The difference is that I have some sense and I somehow know that he doesn't want to say that, though the content of the post might indicate that. If you highlight something as great, the other side of the coin is that the rest is average to bad.</p><p> </p><p>

The fact that he's misrepresenting my post as it was a reply to someone, even though you can clearly deduct it's not, is not helping either. It is directed quite literaly at "anyone who hasn't done that render". It seemed like the right choice to put a sarcastic smiley, but it seems some people don't get the message.</p><p> </p><p>

Of course every render is valuable. Maybe someone wants to do a Scythe stable (actually I'm sure someone will eventually have this idea). Would be lovely to have multiples in that case.</p><p> </p><p>

But you're right. If we're going to have to explain two sentences with entire posts, that does bring the community down. But thank you very much for making me a dismissive, rude poster.</p>

The more Scythe's the better! I am loving this because of two things

1) it gets the point across that the default scythe is the least interesting scythe render that has been created

2) now we can have a fake scythe storyline with sooo many scythe's! Sounds fun :D

I am just happy that renderers are more active than in many previous years

Here's some random freeworkers, with some idea for a African-American stable, as there's kind of a draught for those (both irl and C-verse):

I was thinking of "The Silverblacks" given the outfit colors, and given some schmucks in the crowd will probably be offended by it. The L and R one are the goofballs, and the middle one is a stone cold, manipulative person.

They could be a "60s girl group" themed stable. Maybe with alts that have them wearing a dress (well the top of what would be a dress). Suitable for bubbly faces or annoying overly cheerful or divarific heels.

Now isn't that the greatest render of them all right there. Triple H and his broomstrick can move over.

Angry Gilmore will be wrestling a scythe on Live TV. Prebooking now.

Completely unnecessary. Now let’s stop digging at each other. We’re all better than this.

I'll let it slide, but understand that there's a difference between the way you reacted, which is flipping perceived negativity into a positive thing: perfectly fine (and something not everyone can do, honestly, as evidenced here).

Or the way he reacted, which is turning perceived negativity into... objective negativity (and slander). If he follows it up with the post that MY post would sour things, I cannot help but point out the irony here. Thàt was unnecessary. He could've just said it was a bad joke, and stopped right there. But I get it: people have negative mindsets nowadays and can perceive things the wrong way. I'll think twice from now on.

The forum can definitely use some positive vibes after, you know, the demo hit, and what's happening here is surely contributing to that, if it weren't for posts like that.

haha very true!

*sigh*(-t)

@Morti: Actually, that IS disrespectful. I guess it does make him look a little bit like a wuss compared to the - quite terribly menacing - rerenders.

Oh and just in case I'm being misunderstood here: I meant terrible in the adjective sense. So your renders are fine.

Just wanted to thanks everyone posting such great renders. I've been really loving the work that the artists in this community produce, and they add so much to my games. I would post in this thread to say thank you more often, but if I did so every time I loved a render, this thread would mainly just be me thanking people.

To summarise: thanks. You're all amazing!

... needs to look terribly menacing?

terrible

/ˈtɛrɪb(ə)l/

adjective

causing or likely to cause terror; sinister.

"the stranger gave a terrible smile"

But some of them do feel especially intimidating, now that you mention it.
