Hashasheen
Don't know why being under the 30 mark matters. Most wrestlers don't decline by 35, and it's not like anyone of us will regularly run 5 year+ games...

Jon The GOAT
I wish I had as much bad luck as you do. Nate Johnson and Darryl Devine got injured before a PPV and I just swapped them out for dev guys cuz it was an opener. Losing three main event quality guys would've been a real shakeup. What did Freddy do? He better not be in rehab for soft drugs

Freddy developed a 'heavy pain killer abuser' habit in like month 2 after a minor concussion. Had to stamp that out.

Yeah I think Hawkins would be my worst guy to lose since he's just been gaining pop through awesome angles without me actively giving him any major wins. Dude's a stud! lr10540
Just started a game this morning. Gonna give these guys a go and take a break from my RTG. Does anyone have event graphics for their 2 new PPVs? If not I'll probably put the other 2 back in. Also, a graphic for TCW Network? I know I've seen Network graphics in the past for the big 3 but evidently I didn't save any of them.

Jaysin
I think it was Tommy Cornell in April 2000, at the age of 21 As mentioned, Tommy was the youngest when he won it at 21 in 2000. The oldest was, unsurprisingly, Sam Strong at the ripe age of 56. Both reigns happened in HGC, though; if we're talking strictly TCW, the youngest champion is a tie between Tommy Cornell, Wolf Hawkins, and Rocky Golden, all at 26, while the oldest is Bryan Vessey at 46. Oh man. There goes my hope of booking the youngest world champ in TCW history. Ain't no way I'm strapping a rocket to a 20 year old and ruining their personality. Thanks guys! lr10540
What do you guys do with the old guys that can pass on stats but are have low pop so cant really be used? Referring specifically to Dean Daniels in this case. The guys I may want him to work with are new young guys I bring in, dojo grads and the like who are also highly likely to be irrelevant pop wise as well. I personally use him as Greg Gauge's manager/mentor due to their history as a tag team in Japan. This also allows me to use Daniels as fodder to build up opponents for Gauge, and a guy for the babyfaces to get their hands on while keeping Greg untouched. Initially I had him as part of the Mighty Meaty vs. Sinner Society feud w/ Yuri Yoshihara as the weak links. After that he transitioned into full jobber role. W/ Saturday Night Showcase, giving him a match against people Im trying to keep strong/give wins to is easy. At Battleground I gave him a mini story of being the team captain for rookies against Tornado & some rookies. I dont have any plans for him for the next two PPVs so he will likely be on the pre-show if he makes the PPV at all. The grades obviously vary between 40s to 60s in the matches he tends to be involved in but Im not exactly putting Daniels in matches that will have a big effect on the final grade so his pop is mostly irrelevant. codey_v2
I always like to bring to in local talent to job, as well as have guys on short term contracts that will do nothing but job. For me, it's all about giving wins to the guys that are jobbing out on the A show. Previous years I would borrow guys from development, but now that they request to leave development based on overness I've stopped that unless I'm getting ready to bring them up for good. Previous years I would borrow guys from development, but now that they request to leave development based on overness I've stopped that unless I'm getting ready to bring them up for good. I do what Codey used to do. I have a list of all my development guys & I keep track of their best performances. I make sure to always use the worst guys in my dev. I had 12 grads from the school so they're all extremely raw & working on one per month indy shows so I want to give them chances to wrestle a bit more. When I start encountering workers trying to go up early, maybe I will reevaluate my plan but its not something Im real concerned about at the moment. I just like developping them. I take most of my inspiration for Saturday Night Showcase from AEW Dark. I think it's a recipe for a good B-show. I have anyone that needs to be kept strong on my roster italicized in my notes so I just go through my roster from Unimportant to Well Known and give anyone italicized who has zero fatigue a good win. I obviously make sure Yuri/Dean/Nick get a match here too. Sammy Bach's contract is expiring. He's an amazing talker & gaining pop without trying but hes just not main event level. USPW & SWF are coming in for him. I'll probably have to give him a ridiculously long contract to keep him. Not in TD yet. Current plans are for him to main event Total Mayhem 2021 and finally win the big one. But I just wouldnt mind him leaving for USPW. I love that he can promo great & gains pop easy but hmm. Im offering him about 130K with 40% merch, 20% event bonus & 6 years. Thats a lot for a man his age but I guess Im rewarding his loyalty or something? He'll easily transition into a managerial role though and a tag team with Remus is feasible too plus we're making a ton of money so why not. I'm not worried about the individual match ratings as I run a Three Ring Circus match focus. I'm more working about him dinging the show grade for being on TV when fans don't care about him. I'm also concerned about him dinging the show grade from facing young guys who the fans also don't care about, thus 2 jobbers in the fan's eyes on TV. I don't like running pre show matches as they don't gain pop to ever get away from the pre show without being on TV.

I always make sure I have a non-unimportant wrestler and that the match isnt longer than 10 minutes. I dont think thats too hard given the starting roster only has like Yuri & Nick as unimportant. Like my screenshot shows, I tend to have him paired up with the younger guys & the younger guy takes the pin. </p><p> </p><p> Rule of thumb is if you give your unimportant wrestlers 10 minutes of screen time max you should be fine. No real reason for Dean to be on your show for more than 10 minutes anyways. </p><p> </p><p> I dont do preshow matches for pop. Like others have said, I do it for momentum reasons & to give people something to do on the show, particularly if they dont have much. Guys like Marc Speed (mostly because of low morale but also because I dont have big plans for him) & Maverick among others are guys Id use in the pre-show against my dev guys who need to develop. </p><p> </p><p> Tbh, I dont even book my A-shows to go for pop. Im only concerned about pop for the PPVs since those are when the big changes happen. I find most workers tend to grow organically on the TV shows anyways so I focus more on the storylines then I do pop gains/losses.</p>
Hashasheen
For those who have been booking women's divisions, have you been using them purely on an A-Show? Is it more feasible in 2020 to run a women's division purely on a B-show?

I’d include them in the A show as much as I could because I think this game has some insane female talent that should be shown to the world!</p><p> </p><p> But it’s definitely feasible to have it on the A show as long as at least one of your women is ‘recognisable’ in the match. It’s just personal preference but it could definitely work as a B show only thing, at least until you get them popular enough to start out scoring most of your males.</p>
Lo-Drew
For those who have been booking women's divisions, have you been using them purely on an A-Show? Is it more feasible in 2020 to run a women's division purely on a B-show? I started with 10 women; 5 faces and 5 heels. And I just put them on the A-show. I took penalties for the crowd not knowing them but I just went with it. I also paired some of the women with stables; Becca Barton in Sinner society and Higa in the Syndicate. This helped a lot in building their popularity. Barton was the first to reach Recognizable level around August of 2020 and after that, I've been good ever seen. I'm now in March of 2022 and Higa, now leader of the former Syndicate, is 80 across the board popularity. It took a while and a lot of trial an error but this game does reward you for putting in a lot of work early on with building momentum, putting them in segs, etc, etc.
