jpuk
<p><strong>Welcome to TEW2020 Ultimate Excel!</strong></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p> This Excel file is made to accompany TEW2020 and aid the management, analysis, planning and booking of your promotion; using the save game generated MDB file.</p><p> </p><p> This Excel file can only be used for single player games. Currently it is set up for a maximum roster size of 200, but this can be expanded depending on feedback.</p><p> </p><p> The document is a work in progress with the version number noted below, so whilst only certain functions are currently working many more are planned. There are lots of things possible and I’ve had some pretty impressive docs for previous TEW’s in the past.</p><p> </p><p> <span style="text-decoration:underline;"><strong>Please carefully read the Instructions for Use on the Excel Guide tab, otherwise it will not work.</strong></span> This includes saving the excel into a newly created folder 'C:\TEW2020 Ultimate Excel'.</p><p> </p><p> Leave feedback in this thread and let me know what you think.</p><p> </p><p> Note, there are some limitations due to the nature of Excel (e.g. not being able to list multiple titles per worker) and these are listed in the document.</p><p> </p><p> Latest screenshots are below:</p><p> <img alt="JjMpQArh.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/JjMpQArh.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> <img alt="SWHkm4Th.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/SWHkm4Th.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> <img alt="LU5FtGkh.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/LU5FtGkh.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> <img alt="KPIyQ3ah.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/KPIyQ3ah.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> <img alt="ZufNwAnh.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/ZufNwAnh.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> <img alt="INWyIslh.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/INWyIslh.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> <img alt="a0dYqrbh.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/a0dYqrbh.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> <img alt="AtnXCJlh.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/AtnXCJlh.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> <img alt="MlWKrpQh.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/MlWKrpQh.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> <img alt="4POnALHh.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/4POnALHh.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> <img alt="i29YgpDh.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/i29YgpDh.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> <img alt="eFWUivZh.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/eFWUivZh.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> <strong>V0.5 link:</strong></p><p> <a href="http://www.mediafire.com/file/wy7fg7ddgk1bf5x/TEW2020_Ultimate_Excel_V0.5.xlsm/file" rel="external nofollow">http://www.mediafire.com/file/wy7fg7ddgk1bf5x/TEW2020_Ultimate_Excel_V0.5.xlsm/file</a></p>

djthefunkchris
Awesome!! I like numbers, colors aren't useful for me as I'm color blind, and ultimately some colors look the same.
jpuk
<p>V0.2 is now out as per the updated first post and screenshots have been refreshed (all based on Zen but I've tested it with a couple of databases).</p><p> </p><p> Feedback would be greatly received along with confirmation that nobody runs into any problems with the macro. With the macro work around I can now increase the number of roster members from 200 fairly easily so this is no longer a limitation moving forward.</p><p> </p><p> V0.3 will finalise the Worker comparison tab and include a Company tab.</p><p> </p><p> Thanks</p>
nerodragomir1
My god! This is some incredible stuff! I can't even begin to understand how something like this works. How is something so cool even conceived?!? Don't get me wrong, I got it working. I'm just saying this is the coolest thing I've seen! Like 2 years ago I was wishing there was a way to link what happens in my game, to an excel file. (Too bad screen is so big I can no longer use the excel screen as easily) but 10 out of 5 stars for you sir! I can't wait to see how you continue to build on this. That worker screen made my jaw drop as well. The very concept of it made me giddy!
daddytorgo1
Does this only work in Excel? Trying to open it in LibreOffice and I get a BASIC Runtime Error 423 when I click Update Data.
tsdm1996
Man, this is ****ing amazing. Thank you for the effort put into this and for sharing it

MFP40
Well, I WAS working on my own spreadsheet, and it was pretty cool. This shits on it, though. Awesome stuff! <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />
jpuk
10 out of 5 stars for you sir! Thanks for the comments and glad it worked with no problems for you. Any feedback or requests would be appreciated. Does this only work in Excel? Trying to open it in LibreOffice and I get a BASIC Runtime Error 423 when I click Update Data. Can you see if you can open the earlier V0.1 as this doesn't have the update macro http://www.mediafire.com/file/63ooapknh7qu4cr/TEW2020_Ultimate_Excel_V0.1.xlsx/file The problem with V0.1 is that is was reliant on an array formula to keep the roster references updated. This just drains a computer hence why I needed a macro workaround. If the previous version works on LibreOffice then I'll have a think if there's another way to update the rosters for a future release. Looks awesome, will it work with 2016 The principle would, but this Excel is specifically coded for the 2020 generated MDB so I'm afraid not. Well, I WAS working on my own spreadsheet, and it was pretty cool. This shits on it, though. Awesome stuff! :) Your comment gave me an idea - I'll insert some unprotected blank tabs to be completed by the user in the next release. At least people can plans things out whilst I work my way through the rest of the Excel functionality. Decided to see what I can do with attributes today... D16NJD16
This is more interesting and useful than just about any new feature 2020 added in my opinion. I wish it worked for 2016.

jpuk
Quick technical question Im trying to upload the data, it's asking me for a password? Am I just missing that in the instructions? What am I doing wrong? It is asking me for a password. Are you using the MDB file that is generated via the save game options screen and saved into a separate MDB folder within your save game folder? nerodragomir1
Nah I work in finance so it's part and parcel of my job. All self taught though. I find that really cool! I learned a very small amount of Excel but nothing's like this. My stuff was just manual stuff that wasn't very hard. How did you learn stuff like this though? jpuk
yes, I have it in its own created folder and when I go to load data, it pops up a box that says I need a password with "admin" filled in If you've been asked for a password when updating the data it's because you've incorrectly copied the save game database into the 'C:\TEW2020 Ultimate Excel' folder. You need to use the file that is generated in the 'MDBFiles' folder kept within your save game folder. Once you try to run the incorrect MDB it'll corrupt the excel so you'll need to redownload and try again.
