[HYPE] CVerse Women's Revolution

Recommended Posts

This is really welcome news and I'm always keen to see 2nd, 3rd, 4th generation women showing up so what you've shared so far sounds great! I'm looking forward to retconning it all into my QAW diary :D

I remember you saying it was lucha inspired, is that still a goer? I think you did a perfect job in balancing out UK/Europe, Japan and most of N America that more luchadoras sounds like icing on the cake! Also thumbs up on everyone's suggestions-- tag teams, diversity (I'd be keen to see some trans representation ala. Nyla Rose).

Speaking of all of the above-- If you're still taking inspiration, it would be good to see a top tag team (or trio) who are both black women capable of storming to the top of USPW either as a duo or tandem. Fire n Flava meets Sasha Banks meets Jazz. I can't think of any in the default data or add ons!

YAAAAS. I hope we'll get a few more masked luchadoras with this too.

I don't want to give away too much so I can only say that there will not not be any luchadoras in the expansion.

LLOLL looks solid. Love this project Will. You ever think about melding your Rockverse with Cverse as well? Similarly to this. That project was also super interesting.

Hmmm, interesting. Maybe one day I will take that project on if I can manage to get my old laptop up and running long enough to transfer over the files.

I love those belts. I have loved playing as a woman's company in the past in Mexico, so I'm definitely very interested in this company. Can't wait to give t a whirl with all the potential new ladies.

Any word on how many women you're including in this update?

About 12 or so new workers per release. I'm specifically focusing on more tag teams and stables as the CV seems to lack in that department. For the North America release I also added two new yet to debut companies, both in Mexico as Mexico didnt get a lot of love the first go round.

TEW2020 is definitely tag team and stable orientated! I find every game the computer company instantly add like 5 or 6 random tag teams and a couple of stables right away!

Women's luchadora companies sound good, and long overdue

I added one more yet to debut company in Mexico, in Chihuahua to be exact. It's a smaller company that only runs multi-women matches. All singles matches are triple threat or fatal four ways but it that's not your thing then you can obviously go into the editor and change it.

You know what that logo reminds me of? I played in a campaign for the Mutants & Masterminds tabletop roleplaying game which was, ostensibly, about teen heroes. One of our players decided his character would be Joseirus, the Egyptian God of Mexican Wrestling. He mentioned he wanted a full pantheon, including a chihuahua-headed God of the Underworld, but, "I don't know what to name him." Without missing a beat, I said, "Juanubis."

If you guys ever expand on the LFF idea, I've converted a lot more workers that could cross over from the WMMA mod (O+). These are 4 of the 'real' fighters who are actually from The Netherlands, so that would make a good base for the promotion. The first one does movie roles and the third one is a bit of a loose cannon.

Why would it be so hard to find sponsors if they can wear them on their gear. :p

edit: And how could I forget the Diva of G&P, Danique Schuil. This kind of promotion would be ideal for her, I suppose, if there is room for some small interviews and segments.

Juanubis may be the greatest luchador name in the history of ever.

Do you have some higher quality images of the belts, willr0ck, so I can use it in renders?

I'm trying to come up with interesting stuff to book a "faux MMA" promotion, especially blended with real MMA, but no success so far. :p

The ring and gear looks sweet. I have larger png files that might work for you. I'll send you a link later today of them.
