Who is Keith Vegas?

Don't make promises at 2am!

Vin was having a bad day. Pablo Rodriguez was costing an army and a leg to bring down to IPW. All in all, including transportation, fees to the Alliance, security deposit on the COTT World Heavyweight belt etc. it cost almost as much for Pablo to show up as it did the entire rest of the workers combined.

Now the red phone was ringing on his desk. His direct phoneline to the man with all their money, Gil Thomas.

For the past few months Gil had gone to an experimental health spa treatment to look younger but now he was back and back to meddling with IPW right under Vin's nose. Vin sighed and picked up the phone.

"Yeah it's me. Vin. Vin Tanner. Jesus Gil what did they feed you over there? Uh-huh. Uh-huh. Yeah it looks like we have about 12 more months of runway at the current spending rate...

...Yeah I know that's not great...

...WELL I WASN'T THE ONE THAT SPENT A HUNDRED GRAND ON A TRAINING DOJO!

...Or what about this...$22,000 on...Media Expenses? What the hell are you doing...wait...

IPW HOUSE OF HARDCORE <img alt="aDmb1It.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/aDmb1It.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> Long Beach Southwest, USA Thursday, Week 3 April 2020 Attendance: 555 </div> <div style="text-align:center;">Pre-Show/Bonus Features</div> <div style="text-align:center;"> Deacon Darkhold & Melvin Otto vs. Zombie Boy & PsychoMike </div> In a pre-show bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but sub-par wrestling, Deacon Darkhold and Melvin Otto defeated Zombie Boy and PsychoMike in 12:48 when Deacon Darkhold pinned PsychoMike with a Reverse DDT. Vin's Note: I like PsychoMike. I really do. He's fearless and makes great fodder but his style just doesn't work with anyone. He and Zombie Boy had no chemistry as a tag team which means that PsychoMike can't tag with Stanley, Zombie, or Manny. I'm calling it now, he is not fit for the tags at all. Melvin and Deacon looked decent, even with Deacon underperforming a bit. Zombie Boy tried to take a crazy bump but thankfully Melvin and Deacon stopped him. That kid is nuts. Performance wise Deacon got an E+, Zombie and Melvin pulled Es and PsychoMike pulled an E- Rating: E <div style="text-align:center;"> The Hot Taggs vs. The Night Terrors </div> In a decent pre-show match, The Night Terrors defeated The Hot Taggs in 12:41 when Babau pinned Kalder Tagg with a Sleep Paralysis. In terms of in-ring work, Babau was head and shoulders above everyone else. Vin's Note: What am I doing? Why am I putting someone like Babau in dark matches. Granted this is the shorter show and we had a stacked card but I just don't know what to do with Babau. He could easily handle a main event push but that would mean splitting him up from his best friend Moroi and honestly without Babau, Moroi doesn't have much of a place in the company. Decisions, decisions. The crowd developed a new chant for Moroi, calling him Moron. That's just not nice. Babau pulled a strong D, Moroi pulled an E+ while Kalder nad Wolfie gave E- performances. Not bad for rookies but need a lot of seasoning before they're reayd. Rating: D- <div style="text-align:center;"> Barnaby & Rudge vs. Remmy Honeyman & Stanley Axis </div> In a decent pre-show match, Barnaby & Rudge defeated Stanley Axis and Remmy Honeyman in 12:42 when Zach Rudge pinned Stanley Axis with a Double Super Kick. Vin's Note: Remmy and Stanley didn't make a terrible team. Not great but not terrible. Good for jobbing to teams with futures like Zach and Ash. Remmy is doing very well pulling a D- while everyone else performed at a E+ level. And of course the crowd hated on poor Stanley. I don't even think they're watching him anymore, just that hating on him is "the thing" to do. Well if they don't like good solid wrestling then wait until they see the next pair. Rating: E+ <div style="text-align:center;"> Minnesota Awesome vs. Nigel Svensson & Jules Night </div> In a poor pre-show match, Nigel Svensson and Jules Night defeated Minnesota Awesome in 12:51 when Nigel Svensson submitted Clark Smallbone with a Hyper Extension Arm Lock. Jules Night was the weak link, struggling to keep up with everyone else's in-ring performance. Vin's Note: Oh listen to the crowd boo. Submission holds? Chain wrestling? They hated every minute of it. Especially because not once did either side go out of the ring and grab a weapon. No chairs, no tables. No stunts off the top rope. Just old school wrestling and the fans hated it. Given that nobody knew what to expect Nigel had a very strong showing as a complete unknown with an E+, Clark and Perry getting Es and poor Jules, hated especially by the crowd, probably was lucky to have gotten an F+. The upside is that it turns out Nigel and Jules have excellent chemistry tagging together so I hope the fans are ready to see these two keeping things old school for quite some time! Seriously with how the fans have hated on Moroi for so long despite his talent I don't mind sticking it to them. I thrive on their boos and Nigel and Jules will generate some real heat when we finally get to focus on their story line. Moses: "Let's see first up on the card is...wait. Did someone scribble all over your program sheet?" Luther: "Wait, we have program sheets?" Anslem: "You're the one that's supposed to know what's happening. It seems our Californian title holder, Hugh de Aske, is requesting time in the ring.” Music reminiscent of a certain blockbuster pirate movie pumps through the speakers as the dread pirate Hugh de Aske heads down to the ring. he has a microphone in one hand, a cutlass in the other and the gleaming silver title belt around his waist. Hugh: “Can I get an ‘arrrrrrgh’?” The crowd roars in a vaguely pirate-y way. Hugh: “I SAID CAN I GET AN ARRRRGH!?” The crowd shouts at their top of their lungs and Hugh staggers back a bit in mock surprise before a big grin spreads across his face from eye to eyepatch. Hugh: “Now I say it once and I say it again. These here pieces o’ silver belong to me. Whoever be thinking they own them are mistaken. They’re just putting their mitts on my property without knowing it yet. I ain’t satisfied just being the California champion. I be gunning after EVERY title belt at the same time. I will claim the pieces o’ silver and sail off and bury my booty. Can I get one more “ARRRGH?” This time a new voice joins the crowd. “Son of the Monster” James Diaz appears at the top of the ramp. I'm going to take that belt off of you and bash your brains in until you start acting normal.” James throws down the mic and stalks backstage after Hugh. Everyone: “White people are crazy.” Moses: “Fantastic. Our first match will be between the powerful Canadian Hardcore against the current tag team champions the Deadly Outlaws. This will be the Outlaws first title match defense and they are heading into a doozy.” Luther: “If you can call a combined height of 14 feet and 600 lbs ‘a doozy’ then sure. That expression works.” Moses: “Oh, and what would you call it?” Luther: “Man I’d call it walking into the path of a freight train wielding an umbrella." Anslem: “Wait now. The Outlaw isn’t a small guy and Deadly Deadshot has proven himself against larger opponents before.” Luther: “Care to make another wager? I’m still enjoying the spoils from the last one.” Anslem: “You’re on. No way a seasoned pair like the Outlaw and Deadshot lose too...” Moses: “Oh I forgot to mention. After Last Man Standing the Outlaw was nearly hospitalized by the beat down at the hands of Azathoth. He has NOT been medically cleared for this match but, according to his words...<ahem>” Moses then proceeds in the worst southern accent anyone has ever heard. Moses: “Ah due dah-clare that it is mah god givan riaght ta defend mah title in purse-son. Nah thar ain’t nah-won ahn heaven or earth that will keep me from compete-in.” Luther: “What the f*** did you just say?” Moses: “I have no idea. The Outlaw is visibly limping into the ring being flanked by the Lucha Assassin. Halfway to the ring the Outlaw stumbles and falls to one knee. Deadly Deadshot rushes over to help him up but the Outlaw waves him off. He struggles back to his feet by himself and the crowd claps as he makes his way to the ring. Referee Jeffery doesn’t even have time to determine the legal man as the two big men start wailing on Deadshot and the Outlaw. Despite it being a tag team match with Outlaw’s injuries it’s basically a two on one. Deadshot stays agile, tripping up Otis and sending Sasquatch staggering with a drop kick but the two giants look at one another and then double clothesline Deadshot. While Otis starts putting the boots to Deadshot, Sasquatch whips the Outlaw into the corner. He hits the Outlaw with a big chop to the chest but frowns. The Outlaw’s shirt got in the way so he rips the shirt open to reveal that the Outlaw’s chest is all taped up like he has broken ribs. Sasquatch just grins and taps his partner on the shoulder to point it out and the two men start beating down the Outlaw in the corner focusing heavily on those ribs. Otis is punching, Sasquatch is stomping and the Outlaw is being destroyed. Suddenly Deadshot sails through the air from the opposite turnbuckle and hits a big splash sending both giants over the ropes. Deadshot pulls his partner to his feet and tries to push him out of the ring but the Outlaw, barely able to walk at this point, shakes his head and points at the two giants recovering on the outside. Deadshot (and a much slower Outlaw) sail through the ropes and tackle the giants on the outside of the ring. A fan hands Outlaw a chair and he starts dealing some serious damage to Otis while Deadshot is whipping Sasquatch into the steel barriers. Thanks to a steady stream of weapons handed out by fans the Deadly Outlaws keep the offense going and pummel the giants around the arena. Fans dive out of seats before the action circles back to the ring. Deadshot keeps Otis busy on the outside while the Outlaw rolls into the ring with Sasquatch. The Outlaw takes a second to pose over Sasquatch, firing off finger guns into the crowd bang bang before covering for the pin. Sasquatch kicks out with authority however and gets to his feet. He punches the Outlaw again and again in the ribs causing the Outlaw to double over in pain putting him in the perfect position to be hit with a Running Big Boot. Sasquatch goes for the pin and Deadshot is too far away, blocked by the crowds themselves to get back in time to break up the pin. Canadian Hardcore finally win the titles they’ve been hunting so hard for this past year. Anslem and Luther stand up and all three study the paper as the entrance music starts playing for the next match. In a decent match, Canadian Hardcore defeated Deadly Outlaws in a Weapons match in 13:11 when Sasquatch McGraw pinned The Outlaw with a Running Big Boot. Canadian Hardcore win the IPW Tag Team Championship titles. Vin's Note: Sasquatch was the MVP, of all things pulling a D- while Outlaw and Deadshot pulled E+s. Deadshot was really off his game tonight which is a shame as it is Outlaw's last match. He had decided after last month's House of Hardcore to turn in his notice and travel the indies meaning he couldn't commit to being a champion here anymore. This caused us to have to scramble and pull the trigger on Canadian Hardcore's' title run earlier than expected. Hopefully the fans don't mind a quick title change. We had a lot planned for the Deadly Outlaws (even had the art and music department create a unified entrance for them but that's the way the biz goes. He has a microphone and storms out to the center stage. Vin: "I don't mean to take away anyone's victory but it is clear to everyone that the Outlaw was not wrestling to his best in that match. Now I congratulate Canadian Hardcore for their hard won victory but these are wrestling matches, dammit. When the bell rings, that's it! The match is over." A few in the crowd boo at the thought of the violence ending. Vin: "Now the occasional brawl here and there is to be expected but the savagery that has been shown by Azathoth and even encouraged by the Dark Watch is unacceptable. When the bell rings Azathoth does not listen, he continues to brutally destroy his fallen opponent and it is only getting worse. The Deadly Outlaw has been in the hospital for two weeks after that last attack with a concussion, four broken ribs, and a punctured lung. This kind of display cannot be allowed to..." No he received the chance at Enlightenment. He received the opportunity to witness the other side of death, the great beyond, and return to tell the tale. So no, Mr. Tanner. We will not be holding him back. He cannot be held back. Do you not realize that we have birthed a new era for IPW, one dominated by the Dark Watch. Azathoth will stop when HE has decided it is enough and not a single second before." Vin: "Now that's a whole lot of words that sum up to a big steaming pile of horse s***. 'He can't be controlled'...what kind of s*** do you think you can get away with? He ain't a god! He's just some big b****** in a mask. Now I'm going to open up a can of grade-A whoop a** on him and peel that mask right off so you can see for yourself he isn't some kind of dark messiah. We are all for violence here at IPW but there is a time and a place for it and this ends tonight!" Vin Tanner condemns Azathoth. Darkwatch comes down and surrounds Vin issuing a challenge. Moses: "Fun fact, the word Azathoth comes from the Necronomicon, an ancient tome written by the "Mad Arab" Abdul Alhazred. It is said that he wrote the book nonstop for six days in medieval Arabia and that the Catholic Church considers it the most vile source of evil in the world today." Luther: "THAT IS NOT A FUN FACT!" Moses: "It's said the original book was written in the creators blood on pages made from human skin." Luther: "STILL NOT A FUN FACT!" At one point after setting up a table he hopped on it and pretended it was a sailing ship. This infuriated James who charged at him but Hugh flipped over him and James ended up on the table allowing Hugh to quickly climb up to the apron and hit an elbow drop that put James through the table. In a bout that had great heat and decent wrestling, Hugh de Aske defeated James Diaz in a Tables match in 12:49 when James Diaz was put through a table. Hugh de Aske makes defence number three of the IPW Californian title. Vin's Note: Hugh continues to rise through the ranks as one of the best wrestlers in the South West. He put on a D+ despite James still being relatively new and off his game. That said James pulled off an E+ which is very promising for him. Fiasco: "Wassup wassup Long Beach? Your boy Fiasco here to shine the spotlight and another IPW wrestler. Fierce Talk coming atcha. I figured we might as well showcase the motherf***er running around wrestling in an eyepatch so Hugh de Aske, come on down!" Instead of dread pirate music the speakers play out a selection vaguely recognizable as the music from a popular game show instead. Hugh seems a little confused by the bright and bubbly music as he makes his way to the ring. Fiasco hands him a microphone which he just kind of stares at... Hugh: "Garr?" Fiasco: "It's...it's a microphone. You can't...you were just using one earlier tonight!" Hugh looks over in anger at Fiasco. Hugh: "That's not be the problem. I be wondering why you're calling me down like this. You're after me booty, aren't ye?" Fiasco: "Ah, nah man. I don't swing that way. I'm just helping our great fans here get to know our people a bit better and you're the talk of the town." Hugh: "Which is why you're after my booty!" Hugh clutches his belt around his waist. Fiasco: "I don't want your damn belt, man. Just try to say something about yourself." Hugh: "Well de Aske was a warrior A warrior and a terror De Aske's fought the Prussians! The Austrians! The Russians!" Hugh De Aske's tone had become rhythmatic and Fiasco put up his microphone and started beatboxing out a rhythm as Hugh de Aske improv rapped his way through modified lyrics of Boney was a Warrior. Fiasco Interviews Hugh de Aske and the two end up improvising a rap based on an old sea shanty. Vin's Note: That...that wasn't what was supposed to happen. Hugh was just supposed to go into some general pirate-y backstory and make more jokes about his booty but damn did the crowd eat it up. Fiasco's beats had the crowd bobbing their heads and Hugh's improvisations and twists had the crowd roaring by the end. Anslem: "Did you hear those sick beats? I'm calling it now this is going to end up on Fiasco's next album. If not it damn well should." Moses: "Up next might not be the main event but it could be the match with the most repercussions. Commissioner and longtime veteran "V-Man" Vince Tanner is going to face off against the demon Azathoth in a coal miner's glove match." Luther: "That is a solid iron gauntlet. One punch from that thing will ring your bell real quick. Hey Anslem, you've been wrong on just about everything else so far. Want to make a wager?" Anslem: "F*** you, Luther." Creepy whispers of a little girl echo through the speakers and the lights in the auditorium go out to enhance the effect. <div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="cg6Atl2.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/cg6Atl2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div> Creepy little girl whispers turns into a death metal scream and trash metal playing as Azathoth lumbers to the ring. He roars at the crowd and does a lap around the ring trashing equipment and lifting up fans by their shirt collars to roar directly in their faces. Anslem and Luther flee while Moses just sits there, watching the destruction and chaos unfold. Moses: "Fantastic." <div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="rA3Ac09.png?1" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/rA3Ac09.png?1" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> <img alt="jHEFS5g.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/jHEFS5g.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="XyrFwXO.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/XyrFwXO.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> Azathoth vs. Vin Tanner </div> There are no illusions held by anyone what kind of match this is going to be as these two heavyweights start just slugging it out in the center of the ring. Vin starts out going blow for blow with Azathoth but the giant's strength quickly outpaces Vin. Vin starts punching slower, staggering back a bit farther while Azathoth seems to just be building up steam. Finally Vin ducks a big right and ducks behind for a suplex. It's not a pretty one given Vin's age and Azathoth's size but the crowd cheers as the giant is taken down and Vin starts putting the boots to him. He scrambles for the glove but Azathoth trips him up and starts delivering the pain. Vin is clotheslined out of the ring and the two brawl around the outside with Vin evening the size and strength disadvantage with heavy uses of weapons. Vin gets a chance to really showcase his experience by using weapons in very creative ways. He smashes a chair over Azathoth's back bending him low. Vin then drops the chair and hits a DDT right on the chair. Vin uses this time to go for the glove and unstraps it. Armed with heavy metal he can finally go toe to toe with Azathoth and the giant demon is actually starting to slow down from Vin's attacks. The crowd is rallying behind Vin thinking this might finally be the match to level the giant but then Azathoth catches one of Vin's gloved punches. Azathoth wrenches the glove off and the crowd goes nuts as Azathoth puts it on. <div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="BRnl2SU.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/BRnl2SU.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div> The rest of the match is just Azathoth beating Vin down over and over and over again. He doesn't even go for the pin, he just beats Vin unconscious with the glove. Vin's face is busted wide open and blood pours down his face, covering the glove and smearing across the ring. Azathoth finally puts a completely limp Vin up on his shoulders to hit the Nuclear Chaos Powerbomb for the three count. Azathoth moves to continue the beating but when he nudges Vin with his toe he just shrugs and drops the bloody gauntlet on the mat next to him. Luther: "Vin's not getting up." Moses: "Fantastic!" Luther: "Someone get the medic. GET THE MEDIC! GET A STRETCHER!" Medics come down and hover over Vin. Finally he is put on a stretcher with one medic trying to stop the bleeding on his face while the other is outfitting him with a neckbrace. Vin is quickly rushed out of the auditorium. In a bout that had great heat and decent wrestling, Azathoth defeated Vin Tanner in a Coal Miner's Glove match in 5:40 by pinfall with a Nuclear Chaos Powerbomb. Vin's Note: Uhh. Vin's not here. This is Idaho Punisher. I don't do fancy grades or any of that s***. Vin and Azathoth did really good before Vin was put in the hospital. Luther: "Can you not be creepy? For one goddam minute? Vin is a 50-year old man. I don't think a guy half his age could have taken a beating like that. We just witnessed a straight up homicide and you're still spouting off creepy a** s*** you read...wait where do you even read read about this kind of stuff?" Moses: "There's a huge selection of reading material at the Borders near my home." Anslem: "Wait, didn't Borders go out of business like a decade ago?" Luther: "What the f*** is going on here? We got demons in the ring and Moses here is reading books at a ghost book store." Moses: "What's going on is that 'Psyche Out' Remmy Skye is going to face off against the World Heavyweight Champion Pablo Rodriguez for the COTT title belt in a ladder match. The "Priest of Pain" Pablo Rodriguez just looks on dumbfounded and slowly shakes his head. Pablo: "Listen up Remmy. That World Heavyweight title means more to me than any of this gibberish you're spouting so you can ascned all you want but I will be the one that ascends that ladder. I will be the one that continues to exist beyond as the COTT Champion and the face of the Alliance. If you want to see the face of god or the afterlife just say the world and I will get you there first class. Nonstop action full of attempts and counters. Pablo would try and hit a suplex on Remmy who would flip out of it and try and hit one himself but Pablo would slip out into a DDT. Pablo would go for a clothesline but Remmy would duck it tripping Pablo through the ropes but Pablo would push off of the barrier and slide right back into the ring. The energy was electrifying and the crowd let out a big cheer when Remmy finally hit a big top rope splash giving him the time to set up the ladder. He started to climb but Pablo rushed to upset the ladder causing Remmy to do a desperate suicide dive onto Pablo before the ladder toppled. The two stagger to their feet, Pablo first, who starts to climb. Remmy starts climbing on the other side and the two start punching each other through the rungs of the ladder. At the top they continue to fight, punching one another and trying to unhook the belt. Remmy elbows Pablo causing him to slide down the rungs but Pablo recovers before Remmy can unlatch the belt. Pablo runs to the other side of the ladder, climbs up and pulls Remmy off of the ladder sending him sailing into the announcer's table. Remmy takes out the entire announcing team and their equipment set up (that had been suspiciously moved to the edges of the table just prior to Remmy's fall) allowing Pablo to unhook the belt for the win. In an exceptional match, Pablo Rodriguez defeated Remmy Skye in a Ladder match in 14:32 when Pablo Rodriguez retrieved the item. Pablo Rodriguez makes defence number nine of the COTT World Heavyweight title. Vin's Note: Uhhh. Vin's still not here. They wrestled really good. I guess I could say Pablo was better than Remmy? Listen I don't even know who Vin even writes these notes for. Nobody told me I was going to have to do this. Mexican Hardcore Killers had pre-seeded the arena with a strategic supply of baseball bats and as they brawled through the audience they put the bats to heavy use controlling most of the match. Still as the brawl headed back to the ring Fiasco and Lil Henry got their hands on steel chairs and the worlds worst fencing match occurred. Eventually all four were back in the ring and Lil Henry whipped Fiasco holding a chair into Sanchez Villano dropping him like a stone. Luther dubbed the move a "Drive By" as Fiasco picked up the pin. Despite not being an official tag team Fiasco and Lil Henry are starting to show some real effort in working alongside one another. In a decent match, Fiasco Fiearce & Lil Henry defeated Mexican Hardcore Killers in 13:08 when Fiasco Fierce pinned Sanchez Villano with a Drive By. Idaho's Note: The Mexican's weren't up to their normal level this match. Seems nobody likes new management around here. JOJI jumps up on the turnbuckle and starts raining bombs on Remmy and the audience starts counting along. 1..2...3...4...5...6...7... JOJI winds up again but suddenly a new face hits the entrance ramp. The two start arguing giving Honeyman time to recover and hit JOJI from behind with a big clothesline sending him out of the ring. JOJI lands right next to Frantic but Frantic doesn't bother attacking him, instead just getting a smug look on his face and turning his back on JOJI. JOJI howls in anger but before he can charge after Frantic, Honeyman hits him with a steel chair. His anger redirected JOJI howls and goes ape-s*** on Remmy just battering him down over and over again before finally hitting his big finisher. In a decent match, JOJI defeated Remmy Honeyman in 15:29 by pinfall with a Joji Miracle Explosion. During the match we also had Frantic Ali distract JOJI. Idaho's Note: They did alright. I guess. Rating: E+ After the match JOJI charges to the back area and from the locker room there's the sound of shouting and fighting and suddenly JOJI and Frantic Ali spill out in the middle of big brawl. The crowd goes nuts as the two start hammering each other with chairs and baseball bats. The locker room empties as workers and volunteers rush the pair to pull them apart. Frantic Ali and JOJI start brawling backstage. A host of road agents and staff have to pull them apart. Babau even holds the rope down for Azathoth to step over and into the ring. Pierrot doesn't seem to notice as the psychotic clown keeps giggling and shows no fear in entering the ring. When the bell rings Azathoth rushes across the ring with a giant clothesline flipping Pierrot end over end. For the next five minutes Azathoth brutalizes Pierrot with Babau assisting. Anytime Pierrot escapes or dodges or starts a counteroffense Babau is there to stop it and return control of the match to Azathoth. When the action spills out of the ring Moroi and Melvin keep Hellech from interfering as Babau sets up a table for Azathoth to send Pierrot through. Luther and Anslem shout about how Pierrot is broken as Pierrot has completely stopped moving at that point. Then Azathoth turns and puts his big hands on Babau. Now it is Babau's turn as he is whipped into the turnbuckle before Azathoth picks up the steel stairs and starts battering Babau bloody with it. At least it looks like he is bleeding underneath his mask from the blood dripping down. Moroi goes to stop Azathoth and tries pointing at Pierrot but Melvin interferes and starts laughing as he holds Moroi back. Azathoth sends Babau and a steel chair into the ring and hits a Nuclear Chaos Powerbomb on Babau right onto the steel chair before picking up the win. Idaho's Note: I remember watching this but now I can't seem to find any notes on it. Where did I put my s***? Rating: D- The bell rings but Azathoth doesn't seem like he is finished. Azathoth picks up Babau and delivers another giant powerbomb onto the chair. Moroi breaks free of Melvin and rushes into the ring only to get clotheslined and powerbombed by Azathoth. Melvin is giggling as he grabs Pierrot and rolls him into the ring and he too is powerbombed. Hellech rushes in to save his partner and is bombed as well. Everyone is crumpled and broken except for Melvin. Laughing hysterically he steps into the ring and submits himself to Azathoth, arms out wide as he accepts a Nuclear Chaos powerbomb as well. Azathoth roars and the locker room pours out to once again contain the demonic monster of IPW. Death Row operate like a seasoned tag team with ten years experience however it doesn't seem like they're as used to the hardcore environment. Death Row dominates in the ring but once the match spills out (because of course it does, this is IPW dammit) Aldous and Remmy turn it around. Remmy takes to the air while Aldous uses a chair to even the size disadvantage. Because of the barbwire all four men are bleeding profusely by the end with hundreds of cuts but despite starting out very strong Aldous and Remmy slowly wear them down. The fans are hollering and cheering as Aldous puts Knuckles away with a Batwing (Fisherman's Suplex) onto a steel chair Remmy slid into the ring. In a bout that had fantastic heat and great wrestling, Aldous Blackfriar and Remmy Skye defeated Death Row in a Barbed Wire match in 15:16 when Aldous Blackfriar pinned Knuckles with a Batwing. In terms of in-ring work, Aldous Blackfriar was head and shoulders above everyone else. If you don't watch yerself I'll be plundering your booty right quick." Mary: "You ain't a pirate, get over yourself. Lug here is going to make yer face look like stonehenge when he's done with ya." Dusty: "F*** you, f*** you, and especially f*** you." Dusty just points at everyone, especially at Lug. All four start arguing which leads to shoving which leads to a brawl and the managers quickly roll out as the bell is rung. Lug Phelan, Mary O'Ryan, Frantic Ali, Anslem Briggs, Hugh de Aske, and Dusty Ducont all argue about the upcoming match. Unlike the previous match neither side is entirely limited to just hardcore brawling. While Lug and Dusty square off and duke it out Frantic and Hugh put on a fast display of technical and aerial maneuvers. The match mostly stays within the ring as these competitors are much more aware of the barb wire around the rope although that doesn't save anyone from being bloody and battered by the end. The match goes back and forth until Hugh and Dusty isolate Lug after Dusty tossed Frantic over the top rope. The crowd gasps at how badly that could have gone if he had caught the wire but he sailed over clean although still crashing into a table on the outside. Lug is then double teamed and sent whipping into the barb wire before being beaten down. Dusty grabs Lug by the head and slams his face into the barb wire blinding Lug. Completely defenseless Hugh and Dusty put the boots to him, double teaming him but Lug kicks out pin after pin. Dusty puts Lug up on his shoulders to set up a double team move but Lug punches out of it and turns it into a reverse DDT. Lug rages a comeback whipping both Hugh and Dusty into the ropes and putting boots to faces. Frantic Ali slides a table into the match and Lug puts Hugh on top of Dusty and covers both with a table. Frantic hits a big frog splash onto the table cracking it and both of his opponents. Frantic hauls up Hugh and starts punching him while Lug picks up the pin on Dusty. Idaho's Note: Oops. I deleted the match summary. I f***ing hate computers. I should talk to Gil about going back to trusty old pen and paper. Joanne: "Exciting. I know COTT has been courting FCW for awhile. What's changed in the past few years?"

Cliff: "IPW of all things. It turns out that Gil Thomas and Puerto Rican Power had some business arrangements on the side and using Gil as a middleman we were finally able to have a sit down with them and hammer out a deal to everyone's satisfaction."

Joanne: "And CILL?"

Cliff: "Well that was because of the Phoenixes. Phoenixsi? Phoneixesses? Well let's just say the original Phoenix and El Maestro over at CILL go way back and with the surge in EILL they are looking for a leg up to support one another and COTT is the best way to help get a boost to stand against the titans in the industry."

Joanne: "I see. There has been a lot of news coming out of that lately with the shakeup of TCW outpacing SWF. It looks like without Richard Eisen at the helm SWF the once dominant Supreme Wrestling is really struggling."

Cliff: "Or maybe the Eisens are finally having to pay their taxes like the rest of us. Still I wouldn't count them out."

Joanne: "How nice of you to say. So you said that COTT was expanding in several ways. Did you just mean with new new companies or...?"

Cliff: "Oh yeah! I can't believe I almost forgot the biggest secret of all."

Joanne: "Well if you're supposed to keep it secret maybe you should..."

Cliff: "Oh whatever. WE'RE ADDING A WOMEN'S TITLE! AND QAW!"

Joanne: "Watch the decibels! Alright Cliff there's a lot to unpack there. Let's take it one at a time for our listeners. Tell me about the Women's Title."

Cliff: "We will be introducing the official COTT Women's Championship title into the territories. Now it should be noted that none of the other COTT titles are restricted to just men. We might look into a Men's title in the future as not every promotion has women and men on their roster but for now we're running with a women's championship title and we can see how that goes."

Joanne: "That is exciting news."

Cliff: "I would imagine you'd say so."

Joanne: "Tell me about the Queens of American Wrestling then."

Cliff: "Everyone is excited for the surge in women's wrestling. CZCW and ACPW are both fully integrated while both CILL and OLLIE have women's divisions. We have been discussing adding a stronger focus on women within COTT and now Phoenix and I were finally able to pull the trigger on it."

Joanne: "Let me do the math here. ACPW, OLLIE, CZCW and CILL have women's wrestlinger while FCW, MAW, NYCW, IPW, and PSW don't . Obviously this wasn't a vote straight down ideological lines."

Cliff: "I...I don't wish to start any rumors but I will say that there has been a lot of turnover over the past four years in companies resistant to a Women's title. Without naming any names several owners have turned their companies over to new representation that has altered the voting lines. Phoenix and I approached it as a bundled package. If we add a Women's title, we can entice QAW into the fold and that helped persuade some of the other holdouts."

Joanne: "Fascinating. Will there be any pressure for other companies to add a women's division? I know a lot of fans have been looking at MAW as the pioneer in territory wrestling and are hoping they can..."

Cliff: "Let me stop you right there. The COTT council has no interest in telling anyone how to run their business. We are here to help one another.

Joanne: "One last question. Recently the COTT tag team titles were picked up by Chess Maniac and El Hijo de Espada Roja. How does Chess Maniac's normal tag team partner, Disturbed, feel about not being part of the title run?"

Cliff: "I don't know, you'll have to ask them. Why not invite them next time they're in town?"

Well crap. Yeah they are which really sucks because I remember them being there. I had an unexpected computer restart in the middle and from the looks of things I lost a segment entirely.

I rewrote it and put it back into the show above because it's kinda important story wise so if you go back now you should be able to see it.

Kid Fantastic & Manny Alvarez vs. Minnesota Awesome

In a pre-show bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but sub-par wrestling, Minnesota Awesome defeated Manny Alvarez and Kid Fantastic in 12:58 when Perry Longstaff pinned Manny Alvarez with a Double Flying Elbows. Kid Fantastic carried the match in terms of in-ring performance.

Idaho's Note: Kid Fantastic did a fantastic job. Might be another one ready for an actual show debut. Fans still hate Manny.

Barnaby & Rudge vs. Jerry Pepper & Texas Hangman

In a pre-show bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but sub-par wrestling, Barnaby & Rudge defeated Jerry Pepper and Texas Hangman in 12:44 when Zach Rudge pinned Jerry Pepper with a Double Super Kick.

Keith Vegas vs. Remmy Honeyman

In a pre-show bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but sub-par wrestling, Keith Vegas defeated Remmy Honeyman in 12:53 by pinfall with a Vegas Or Bust.

Idaho's Note: Why the f*** did Vin hire a jobber like Keith Vegas and include a note here to "push him to the moon".

In a decent pre-show match, The Night Terrors defeated The Hot Taggs in 12:35 when Babau pinned Wolfie Tagg with a Sleep Paralysis.

Idaho's Note: Hot Taggs are still green as hell but they're taking to IPW like fish to water. They'll represent the Northeast well.

Rating: D-

Moses: "Hello, Reno! Bringing you fresh hardcore action nonstop. IPW continues its tour of the Southeast heading up through Nevada. Just as a reminder for fans of the true Southwest hardcore we will be having our next show, Invincibility X, at our home in Los Angeles. It is not a show to be missed."

Luther: "Word is from upper management that there are going to be some big shakeups announced so you won't want to miss it. The memo we have here is that it will change the face of hardcore wrestling around the world. Any thoughts on what it could be?"

Moses: "The mind boggles with possibilites, Luther."

Luther: "What about your thoughts, Anslem? You're about....0 and a million in terms of predictions so this ought to be good."

Anslem: "Man, not tonight, Luther. You've been getting on my last nerve this whole tour."

Luther: "Well if this is too intense for you why not bring down your man Frantic to do commentary instead."

Anslem: "Don't tempt me. I'd like to see you run that smart mouth of yours next to my man Frantic. He'd slap the smartass right out of you."

Moses: "Now that is something I think the fans would enjoy almost as much as they would enjoy hearing some opening remarks from "Psyche Out" Remmy Skye."

Pscyhe Out Remmy Skye comes down to crazy psychedelic rock. A small smoke machine bellows and lasers flicker around through the smoke as he comes out. He points his fingers up and the crowd pops for him. He takes his time, playing up the crowd before finally taking a microphone.

Remmy: "Greetings ephemerals! I am your guide tonight, the mind that fashions the illusory into reality. I see you sitting there, looking at this with eyes from the future and realize that we share a bond. The more we are together, the more we become one and the same."

As usual the crowd is transfixed by the gibberish Remmy Skye is spouting. They don't care what any of it means, they just want him to keep talking.

Remmy: "As you sit there seeing this you may wonder what the point of this is. What the point of any of this is and the answer can only be found within. Why do you sit there instead of anywhere else? I can only hope that tonight when I face the Cougar of Masks that you will remember this night fondly. That you will regard the blood and sweat shed here tonight as a worthy exchange of your valuable time. Tonight, for your pleasure, I shall engage the infamous Cougar of Masks. Now he shall make his entrance and we shall engage verbally."

On cue Masked Cougar appears with his classic cougar roar entrance to a moderate pop. While CZCW and IPW don't share a lot of the same demographics one of the biggest stars of the Southwest wrestling scene is going to get a pop no matter what. He holds out his hands and slaps fan hands on the way down to the ring before grabbing a mic from the announcer table.

Cougar: "Remmy. You and I have long feuded for titles. Back in CZCW you couldn't get the best of me so what makes you think that this challenge is going to get you anything but another loss?"[/color]

Remmy laughs in response.

Remmy: "Because the god of fate has changed, Dear Cougar. The writing writer behind this tale showers his blessings upon me, his favorite, while you are a masked invader. This is IPW. I AM IPW NOW! So long as that holds true I cannot lose to the likes of you. I may be weak from within but I am impervious from without. So bring all your Coastal Warriors and lay down at my feet for the count. One...Two...Three!"

Remmy tosses the microphone down at Masked Cougar's feet and pops up onto the turnbuckle shouting his war cry to the crowd who scream and hollar back. For a moment it is less a sporting event and more a temple and Remmy was the prophet.

Remmy Skye issues an open challenge to his ex-colleague Masked Cougar.

Rating: C

Moses: "Powerful words...I think...between two top wrestlers in the field."

Luther: "I dunno. Cougar might be hot s*** in the Coastal Zone but this is IPW. Let's see how graceful he is after a couple of chair shots to the dome."

Anslem: "Overrated. My man Frantic would beat the mask right off that sucker."

Luther: "Is Frantic even on the card tonight? When he isn't wrestling why do you even bother showing up?"

Anslem: "I've got three answers. First of all, you bet your a** my man Frantic is wrestling tonight. Winning tonight too. Second of all as a manager to the stars I can provide some keen insight on these matches. Third, and most of all, f*** off."

Moses: "Powerful words indeed. Up next we have Deacon Darkhold facing off against the Deadly Deadshot."

Luther: "My favorite kind of match. Double D's versus Double D's."

Deacon Darkhold vs. Deadly Deadshot

Deacon doesn't come down alone, he comes with the Night Terrors to accompany him to the ring. Deadshot looks noticeably isolated on his side of the ring. The bell rings and the two lock up. Deacon puts up a good fight but Deadshot pulls ahead and goes for a lengthy period of hitting move after move on Deacon. When Deadshot moves to the top rope to set up the Death Drop Moroi hops up and pulls out Deadshot's feet and he racks himself landing on the top turnbuckle. Deacon rushes over and shoves him off the turnbuckle and he tumbles down onto the mats outside the ring. The Night Terrors double team Deadshot, whipping him into the barriers and grabbing chairs to brutalize him while Deacon watches from the ring, shouting out orders and with his arms outstretched as if conducting an orchestra of pain. Deadshot gets a couple of good hits in, including a spot where he ducks a chair shot so Moroi beans Babau but any comeback is temporary and when Deadshot is finally rolled back into the ring he is broken. Deacon doesn't go for the pin, instead dragging a shaky Deadshot back to his feet before hitting him with a Reverse DDT finisher and then going for the pin. Ominous latin chants fill the air as Deacon celebrates with the Night Terrors as Deadshot slowly limps backstage.

In a decent match, Deacon Darkhold defeated Deadly Deadshot in 11:47 by pinfall with a Reverse DDT following interference from Babau. During the match we also had Moroi run in and attack Deadshot.

Idaho's Note: Heh, now that's how you use a stable.

Rating: D-

Luther: "What kind of a win was that? Deacon barely did anything and let his little culty buddies do the work."

Moses: "While there are no disqualifications and very few rules here at IPW it has been awhile since a competitor has really used that to his advantage. Now that I think about it Dark Watch was a problem last time around as well."

Anslem: "You see how he was show boating? This isn't the end of s*** like that. Looks like Dark Watch is getting puffed up with their big bad monster running around."

Luther: "Normally that would be the V-Man to put a stop to stuff like that but he is still in the hospital. Seriously, who's going to stop them?"

Moses: "Who indeed. It does seem like we are witnessing the birth of a new era in IPW. Between the masked monster Azathoth and now Deacon's use of the Night Terrors to win a match for him. Who indeed can stop this tide of darkness?"

Anslem: "I'll tell you who. My man Frantic. The man himself is up next and he is going to put the hurt on anyone who stands in his way."

Luther: "Someone like JOJI?"

Anslem: "Man of course I mean JOJI. Who else has been trying to interfere in Frantic's matches. Frantic would be undisputed COTT champion if it wasn't for that stupid Asian b******."

Frantic Ali w/ Anslem Briggs vs. James Diaz

The monster James Diaz is big, ripped and mean but Frantic is an experienced brawler. While Diaz gets in some big right hooks and a couple solid clotheslines Frantic uses his speed to stay one step ahead of Diaz. It looks to be a clean Frantic victory when JOJI runs out from the back. Anslem successfully warns Frantic and he sidesteps a dropkick that would have taken him from surprise. Diaz doesn't seem too happy about his match being interfered with and slams JOJI. The match turns into a three-way brawl in and around the ring. Frantic finally regains the advantage when Anslem slides him a chair and he drops JOJI with a chair shot. Diaz charges in but Frantic pops him with the chair but when the big beast doesn't go down Frantic starts wailing on him with the chair, eventually breaking the chair completely across Diaz's back. Diaz is staggered but still standing so Frantic hits his Death Valley Driver on Diaz to finally put him down and pick up the pin.

In a bout that had good heat and decent wrestling, Frantic Ali defeated James Diaz in 11:34 by pinfall with a Death Valley Driver. During the match we also had JOJI run in and attack Frantic Ali.

Idaho's Note: Frantic's really pulling his weight around. Too bad he's locked horns with a midcarder because he could put on some real good matches with either Remmy or Blackfriar with this kind of performance. Meanwhile James Diaz is well on his way to being a solid wrestler.

Rating: D

Frantic has little time to celebrate though as JOJI whacks him from behind with a chair and the two continue to brawl. Anslem tries to grab the chair away from JOJI but JOJI turns around and hits him with a chair. Frantic goes nuts and tackles JOJI and starts wailing on him as the locker room empties out to try and pull the two apart and workers and volunteers swarm the pair dragging them backstage.

Frantic Ali and JOJI continue to brawl after their match.

Rating: D

Luther: "Oh s***! Are you okay Anslem?"

Anslem: "I'll survive. That's more then I can say for that b**** a** piece of s***. That little s*** is about to get a foot shoved so far up his a** that he's going to be s***ing shoelaces."

Moses: "JOJI has been demanding a match with Frantic for months. Does this mean we can finally see that showdown?"

Anslem: "We'll see. My man Frantic and I have a lot to talk about after the show."

Luther: "So Moses, who's up next?"

Moses: "Up next we have Hustle Muvva facing..."

Creepy little girl whispers fill the stadium.

Luther: "Oh s***! Now Hustle's going to face that monster?"

Moses: "Yes. Azathoth has demanded a new victim. It will be fantastic."

Azathoth vs. Hustle Muvva

Coal Miner's Glove

Hustle Muvva and Cindy don't look too confident as Azathoth stalks inside the ring. They share a quick strategy session and a quick kiss before Hustle pops up onto the apron. Azathoth charges and grabs him by the head flipping him over the ring and into the middle of the mat before dropping a big elbow onto Hustle. Hustle recovers quick but not quick enough and Azathoth whips him into the corner before charging in with a big shoulder block. Azathoth hammers Hustle into corner with repeated shoulder checks before stepping back so Hustle can stagger into a big spinebuster. Then Azathoth goes for the glove.

Hustle is beaten into a blood mess as Azathoth hammers him in the face and chest over and over with the big steal gauntlet. Cindy is crying out for someone to stop the match but Azathoth shrugs off the ref sending him stumbling. Finally Azathoth drops the bloody gauntlet and picks up a nearly limp Hustle and nails him with a Nuclear Chaos Powerbomb to pick up the win.

In a good match, Azathoth defeated Hustle Muvva in a Coal Miner's Glove match in 9:37 by pinfall with a Nuclear Chaos.

Idaho's Note: Azathoth is a real mean b****** with that glove. Given how the fans were howling for blood it seems they're finally coming around to Azathoth being a force of nature in IPW. Not bad for only six months.

Rating: D

Cindy is crying from ringside and Azathoth locks eyes on her. He picks Hustle up and hits him again with another big powerbomb. He picks Hustle up to hit him with another bomb but suddenly gangster rap fills the stadium.

Fiasco Fierce and Lil Henry charge down the ramp. Azathoth stands and looks at them confused but they slide into the ring and start wailing on Azathoth. While they can't overpower the big demon they can hold him at bay giving Cindy a chance to pull Hustle out and the four make a cautious escape backstage while Azathoth stalks after them.

Azathoth starts to destroy Hustle after the match but Fiasco Fierce and Lil Henry rush in and save him.

Rating: D-

Moses: "The Sultan of Daemons is not going to like his sacrifice taken away from him like that."

Luther: "The Sultan of what?"

Moses: "Daemons. It's another title of Azathoth. You see at the edge of reality there are these extradimensional entities called daemons..."

Anslem: "You mean demons?"

Moses: "No, daemons. Demons are creatures of Hell while Daemons are creatures of pure chaos. Demons want to devour your soul while daemons want to unmake reality. It's all explained in the Necronomicon if you'd like to borrow it from me."

Luther: "There is no way in hell that I'm going to read your creepy-a** skin book."

Moses: "Not Hell. Chaos. Now is the time for our main event. Ladders are being brought down to the ring as Remmy Skye faces off against Masked Cougar."

Remmy Skye vs. Masked Cougar

Ladder Match

Remmy and Cougar circle one another, sizing up one another before locking up in the middle of the ring. Remmy whips Cougar into the ropes but Cougar springs off into a moonsault. Remmy rolls to the side but Cougar sticks the landing setting off a series of fast-paced aerial attacks and counters. The two battle to a standstill with neither getting a serious advantage until after a near miss Remmy rolls out of the ring. Ringside Remmy motions for Cougar to follow but Cougar stays inside looking at the ref expecting a countout to begin. This is IPW however, there are no countouts. Cougar finally follows and outside Remmy picks up the advantage using the environment to put the hurt on Cougar. Cougar realizes his mistake but takes some painful hits in the process before escaping back into the ring. Remmy sends a ladder into the ring and fighting over it becomes the center point for the next few minutes as Cougar grabs the ladder first and hits Remmy a few times with it only for Remmy to drop kick the ladder into Cougar's face. While Cougar is down Remmy sets up the ladder and starts climbing. Cougar shoves the ladder over but Remmy launchers off of it first hitting a big splash onto Cougar. With Cougar laid out Remmy drags Cougar onto the ladder and then goes for a big leg drop only for Cougar to roll out of the way and Remmy to rack himself on the ladder. This time Cougar goes to the air hitting a big spinning splash from the top turnbuckle but Remmy kicks out of the pin attempt. The next few minutes have them escalating things with more and more drastic maneuvers to try and put the other away. Finally the match finishes with Remmy hitting a Skye Diver on Masked Cougar from nearly the top of the ladder and this time Cougar doesn't kick out in time.

In an exceptional match, Remmy Skye defeated Masked Cougar in a Ladder match in 15:03 by pinfall with a Skye Diver.

Idaho's Note: Holy s***. Way to blow the roof off on this one. Turns out Masked Cougar and Remmy Skye have great chemistry fighting one another. It might have been several years since they fought but they fell into a groove almost immediately and it showed. Could be a contender for match of the year for us.

Minnesota Awesome find a fan decked out in IPW gear waiting by the lockerroom. Impressed by his dedication they bring him into the lockerroom to talk.

Hustle Muvva, Fiasco Fierce and Lil Henry huddle together talking. They seem to come to some sort of agreement and head out of the building together.

For the Fallen

Voted Cedar-Sinai's Most Frequent Customer!

Gil tugged nervously at his necktie. For weeks he had been trying to get in contact with Vin to find out where he had been taken to but had gotten nowhere. He had received one brief message from Vin's wife saying he wasn't receiving visitors yet.

Since then while he had been communicating with the rest of IPW via emails or through the Idaho Punisher, nobody had known what was going on with Vin, or if they did they weren't telling Gil anything.

Finally just two weeks before their biggest show of the year he had received a text message from Vin.

V-Man> Meet @Cedar-Sinai. We need to talk.

He wasn't sure what Vin had in mind as he entered the hospital and walked towards the reception desk. Maybe it was good news. Maybe whatever had happened in that match with Azathoth was over. Maybe he was all healed up and ready to get back in the shows again. Maybe what had happened didn't have anything to do with the match. Still Gil couldn't help but think about the bad news. Maybe it was serious. Maybe Vin was dying. Maybe he was just retiring.

Vin had brought in the Idaho Punisher specifically based on their previous history, maybe this was all a signal that he was leaving the business and turning the reigns over to Idaho. Vin had a wife and kids while Idaho...maybe had a dog? Gil paused as he realized he knew next to nothing about the Idaho Punisher. Why was he trying to punish Idaho?

The nurse pointed him Vin's room and every step brought more anxiety. Hope and fear mingled together until his stomach was in knots. He paused at the entrance to Vin's room fighting back the urge to throw up. He sold wool, he wasn't equipped to handle this kind of stress. First Nemesis had died and now he might be losing Vin as well? Gil couldn't handle this. He turned to leave but he heard a cough from the other side of the door that made him pause.

Vin had asked for him. It was the least Gil could do to finally open up the door. What he saw made his blood turn to ice.

Vin was lying in bed mostly covered by the thin hospital sheet but his head was still all wrapped up. Thick layers of bandages wrapped his whole head with a small hole for his nose and one for a single eye. The eye was currently closed and Gil couldn't tell if he was asleep or dead. Gil cleared his throat and thankfully the eye snapped open.

Gil: "Hey Vin...you're looking well."

Vin: "..."

Gil: "I just wanted to say I'm sorry that this happened. I don't even know what happened."

Vin: "..."

Gil: "Idaho's been doing great and your scripting has been great. We're all set up for the biggest event of the year. Azathoth's gotten over huge, mainly because he put you out of commission. Everyone is hot for that three-way match for the title."

Vin: "..."

Gil: "Can you talk? Can you even hear me?"

Suddenly Vin's whole body started to shake and Gil thought he was having a seizure. He ran out to the hallway.

Gil: "NURSE! NURSE!"

A nurse quickly ran inside, picked up Vin's chart and then frowned.

Nurse: "Why are you wrapped in bandages? You're here for a colonoscopy..."

Gil: "Wait...WHAT!?"

The shaking got more pronounced and Vin couldn't hold it back anymore. Deep muffled laughter came out from under the bandages. He reached up with his decidedly unbandaged arms and unwrapped his face letting his laughter poor out. He looked fine, not a scratch on him. The nurse gave the pair of them a raised eyebrow but left after seeing Vin's vitals were fine. Gil was just dumbfounded.

Gil: "Wait...WHAT!?"

Vin let out another round of laughter, wiping the tears from his eyes.

Vin: "I'm sorry...but you're face...it's too much!"

Eventually Vin collected himself to explain what was going on.

Vin: "It's all kayfabe, Gil. Of course it was. I didn't tell you because I didn't trust you could keep it quiet. Nobody knows except for my family and Idaho. We needed to really sell Azathoth as a threat with that glove and knocking me out opens up all sorts of room for storylines.

As for putting Idaho in charge, I needed a break. I was still working but I needed to get away from the day-to-day operations to start laying out storylines for the rest of the year. Losing the Outlaw really screwed our tag team storylines and I've got some more bad news about departures that will screw more things up. I needed some time where I could focus and really think things through."

Gil: "So...you've been hiding at a hospital this whole time?"

Vin: "Oh hell no! There's no way I could afford that based on what you're paying me. No I had a routine check up coming up so I figured I'd meet you here."

Gil: "I thought you might be dying!"

Vin just shrugged.

Vin: "And that's why I'm not going to tell you the storylines we have planned. You've always loved being a mark more than anything else. You've trusted me so far and I've been delivering. We've been holding our own in the West Coast Wars, our finances took some hits but we're still in healthy shape and we're growing by leaps and bounds. Now I'm asking you to do us both a favor and just sit back and enjoy the show."

Gil: "But...but I'm the owner! Shouldn't I get a say in what happens?"

Vin pointed to a thick binder sitting next to him on the bedside table.

Vin: "If that's what you want. Right there is an entire year's worth of storylines. All the winners, all the losers, all the twists and turns. It's yours for the taking but then you'll know what's going to happen. Who ends up going over, who ends up winning the belts, which teams blow apart. It's all there...if you want it."

Gil looked at the binder and then glared at Vin. Vin just returned his look with a smile. They both knew that Gil wasn't going to grab it.

Gil: "You're an evil man, Vin. Putting me through that."

Aldous Blackfriar Faces his Toughest Opponents

Aldous Blackfriar has now secured the longest IPW Championship reign in the history of the company but now he is facing his toughest opponents. The Irish Warrior Lug Phelan has been tearing his way through the roster crushing everyone he has been faced with in order to secure his #1 contendership. Azathoth however has thrown a wrench into everything and has climbed through the rosters rapidly, dominating and destroying his opponents. His win at last month's House of Hardcore has secured him a title shot as well. Will Aldous Blackfriar be able to withstand his two toughest competitors and keep his title reign going? Or will Azathoth or Lug be the ones to finally take the belt off of him?

Commissioner Tanner Making A Surprise Announcement

After time in the hospital and months of traction and rehabilitation Commissioner Tanner is expected to mark his return at next week's show. He has loudly proclaimed that his time away has made him reflect on the current state of IPW and he is planning on making a shocking new announcement that will rock the hardcore world to its very foundation.

Frantic Ali Faces JOJI

After last week's attack on Frantic Ali's manager, Anslem Briggs, Frantic has finally granted JOJI his long sought after request of a straight up match between the two of them, with the stipulation that it would be a barb wire match. Frantic has promised that when this match is finished that this feud with JOJI will be finished once and for all.

Dusty Ducont Faces Mystery Opponent

Ex-USPW star Dusty Ducont is facing off against a mystery challenger. Commissioner Tanner has hinted that this is part of his major announcement and that this will be an especially big surprise for not just Dusty but IPW fans as well.

Grimm SoCal Wrestling the Big May Loser

The fans and critics have spoken and GSW is the big loser of the West Coast Wars for the past two months. Thanks to the extreme performances of IPW wrestlers as well as drawing in the top talent from all across the COTT, critics have agreed that time and time again that the superior West Coat product is Invincible Pro Wrestling.
