St. Templar
The Rise of WWE (Started in May 2001 playing as WCW, which is now Global Wrestling Entertainment or GWE; also added WWF to my docket) With Vince McMahon out of action due to charges of embezzlement and financial malfeasance, an SEC-driven investigation in the mix, and the (now former) CEO and Chairman of WWFE, Inc., cooling his heels in a minimum security prison as the judge wouldn't allow bail (she said McMahon was a flight risk), the level of GWE/WWF cooperation was almost total, particularly as GWE bosses Eric Bischoff and Jeff Jarrett were in the process of negotiating a merger of sorts with WWF CEO and Chairwoman Linda McMahon. Although few really wanted to see this, GWE has now taken over the operations of WWF pending approval by the Securities and Exchange Commission. Going on hiatus after SummerSlam 2003, a reshuffling is occurring. GWE will move forward presenting former WCW properties as the Nitro brand, former ECW properties as the Shockwave brand, and the newly-added SmackDown brand, which will present former WWF-owned properties. Internally, the brands carry those old names, but the company will present them under those new designations. CzarKyle
Jan 1970 - Feb (Wk.1) 1974 WWWF World Heavyweight - Nick Bockwinkel WWWF Intercontinental - Pedro Morales WWWF Light Heavyweight - Ray Stevens WWWF World Tag Team - King Kong & The Superstar (Angelo Mosca & Billy Graham) Jan 1970 - June (Wk.1) 1974 WWWF World Heavyweight - Wahoo McDaniel WWWF Intercontinental - The Spoiler WWWF Light Heavyweight - Tony Parisi WWWF World Tag Team - King Kong & The Superstar (Angelo Mosca & Billy Graham) Had a series of behind the scenes issues that took some time to figure out. Bruno's injured until Nov 1974, Andre's got a drinking problem, injuries, injuries, injuries...did I mention injuries? Now it's all about Wahoo & Andre in their storyline "Tall Tales". At first they were primed to take out King Kong & The Superstar, but Andre's drinking got in the way and he missed the very show they were slated to get the titles. So now Andre gets to support his buddy.
