Hello World - Work for a Tiny company

Fresh New Indie - Produce an Event Card of 50

49. "It's not the size of the dog, it's the size of the fight" You now like fighting from underneath, add "Plays Weasely/Underdog Well" and “Giving Performer” to your attributes

This overode my Can't play gimmicky/underdog well, so that's nice. Giving Performer should help at some point as well!

Hit Tiny right before my first "PPV" type show at the end of February. Wound up having it as my first paid event with very cheap tickets. Been going with free touring shows. Ran 26 shows between January and February. Sitting at 19 pop a couple shows into March. Got a solid roster. Not sure when I'll get on WrestleWorld. Debating if it's worth it.

Financially I lost 5k in January, and 5.4k in February. February also saw 4 additional shows (1 of which was a normal event) which led to increases in talent and production costs. Sponsorship jumped from 2160 to 5675 and we made 1k off ticket sales for the 1 non-touring event. I'm estimated to get 7.7k off sponsorships now that I'm at small. So I may shift from touring to weekly events rather soon. My only fear is the need to book everyone, with the additional costs for the talent. I'm not sure if sponsorship and ticket sales will cover the costs. As of now, I'm booking mostly singles with the occasional tag or multiman match. 3 matches per show, and since it's a touring show, nobody has complained about being left off.

At what popularity did everyone begin going towards weekly, or even monthly shows? I'd ideally like to complete the challenge with my company, but I also haven't been tempted by another company just yet.

I'm at 50 popularity, hosting weekly events on WrestleWorld with normal ticket prices at $240k in the bank with a 33 man roster. 32% prestige and 58% momentum. I'm only in the second week of March 2022.

Did you try TV? Does it result in more revenue if you do TV over events? I'd assume no, but on Events, you also have to use more talent so they don't get pissy for being left off shows.

The days of touring for me are done. It's not resulting in growth as often as I'd like. I'd rather get the money from event tickets and have a week between bookings. 4 shows a month sounds a lot nicer than 14 shows a month. I did take 3k off of my projected losses for April, so there's hope May or June will be my first profitable month. Still planning on holding off on WrestleWorld until I can sign guys to some Written's.

Another year and another brutal TCW talent raid:

I started several Road to Glory/Local to Global games in 2016 without ever achieving the follow through. I've only played about ten minutes of the demo of 2020, bought it on blind faith, and I'm gonna succeed this time, with this save. (Gotta love that false sense of confidence, eh?)

Introducing the somewhat talented newcomer, JB Cole!

Just kidding. Just saw his name is actually JP Cope. A botched debut is the first sign of future success, right?

<img alt="xhT3q9S" data-src="https://ibb.co/xhT3q9S" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

We've taken control of and prematurely opened Lone Wolf Wrestling, the only downside of which being that it's based in my least favorite Canadian province of Quebec (completely unrelated to the Montreal Screwjob and mostly my dislike of the French accent). The product remains an unchanged blend of professional wrestling and MMA, with "Parental Abuse" Alan Parent taking over as the owner. They come with a prebuilt monthly schedule which we're gonna be sticking to, and I say that with confidence because this isn't aimed to be a Local to Global game as well, so if I tank this shot, I'll get the book somewhere else. With that being said, I might sign with WrestleWorld to broadcast my monthly shows, but we'll have to see how it plays out. Starting roster is as follows:

A True Alternative - Produce an Event Card of 75

32. "Chance to Train" You have been offered the chance to train with a Wrestling Legend. Gain +20 points to spend on any Fundamental skill. (Basics, Selling, Consistency, Safety & Psychology)

Psychology 46 --> 66

First, let me say, Ernest Youngman is God. Period. He had an in-ring rating of 80. Nobody else on my roster touches 70, although there's a few that give me low to mid 60's now.

As for the bad news, TCW came calling. Frankie Perez and Youngman were the first 2 to be offered. Perez I was fine with letting go, as his PPA was the higher on my roster aside from Silver Tiger. Jez McArthuer got taken as well, so I hired Francis Long (yay upgrade) to replace him, and given my relative financial comfort, I hired an additional ref, Erin Lawrence. I also offered Masked Cougar, to the disdain of my owner since he's older than 35, and I got to book him on 1 show before TCW came calling, so now he's jobbing to Silver Tiger so I can raise his momentum back up. In other words, I made the owner mad for absolutely no reason, yay me. Dreadnought is also dominating Frankie Perez in a 2 minute squash, as Perez promised to put him over 3 times, and while I wanted to wait until I pulled the trigger on a Wrestleworld deal, I don't want to let Perez go without getting the benefit of putting Dreadnought over.

Now, Youngman, I did everything I could to keep, literally everything. Youngman is now the only wrestler I have on a written, iron-clad contract. 5 years, 10k per month, 75% of Merch sales, Creative Control, Wage Matching, Hiring Veto, only available for Events and A Shows and the cherry on top, he's going to be used as an Icon. I still made a decent profit of 6.1k to close out June, so his 10k deal won't hurt me too bad.

As for WrestleWorld, if I can math correctly, upping my production values to meet their requirements would cost me an additional 12k per month. I'm unsure how much I would make off of subs, but I'm debating pulling the trigger. I'd ideally like to get 3 more wrestlers locked down so I have a core 4 I can faithfully rely on to pull in good ratings. My ticket revenue was up 8k from the prior month with a declining industry/economy. If the uptick in revenue continues, I'll likely try to get Callum, Fro Sure, DWN and either Mimic or Cali Slick on writtens, leaning towards Slick as he has excellent chemistry with my UC in a tag team.

One last note, I've never not been improving my merchandising. I've upgraded on Rapid the entire time. Currently going from level 4 to level 5. This upgrade is gonna take 25 weeks so I won't begin to reap the rewards until the 2nd week of 2021. The goal is to be on Wrestleworld by them and have popularity across North America to really flourish from the increased merchandising revenue. Matter of fact, in typing all this out, I'm gonna pull the trigger on WrestleWorld now and hope I can sign a few guys before they get poached!

All in all, I'm having a blast with this save.

So I toyed around a bit, sticking with weekly events instead of running one event a month and having a Weekly tv show is truly killing it with revenue I’m literally pulling almost $200k a month here I am in my second year only in May and already racked up $600k. I’m still losing some stars here in there to companies like TCW which sucks but I still have a solid roster trying to build stars of my own and still put on quality shows but I truly miss having Ernest on my roster!!!

I am also doing this challenge. Just hit year 2023 now, for last couple of months bigger companies have captured some of my talent. Signed Danielle Sweetheart to written contract because she has been my biggest star since almost the beginning.

I think this turns into local to global since my UC hasn't gotten very much better. Well, that would be ok.

The wording doesn't make it completely clear...

So weekly events or weekly television + 1 event for a better income?

Events by far!!! Idk what it is with the tv shows but I’m not gaining a lot of income like I am from weekly events, only thing that kills me is right now I have a 35 man roster, events I’m running are about 2 and a half hours lot but I may push it to three hours to try to make more wrestlers happy with having spots on the events.
