[First TEW2020 Diary]

Good evening to all of my readers. I would like to thank all of you for taking the time to read this first post. As those of you who are reading know, I am angeldelayette and this is my diary focusing on my game with the promotion USPW in the default data. I have made some very slight changes to the default data to make things a little bit different. I always try to make each of my diaries different from the other such that even though I have done many USPW diaries, none of them are the exact same.

I am a writer that some have called 'Mr. USPW' It is my favorite promotion to run with in the default data and I feel like I have a lot of different stories to tell. To make sure I am prepared, I have already run through several shows in the game. This makes sure that this is something I plan to stick with.

Today marks my 39th birthday. It's hard to believe that the years have gone by that fast. But this gives me a good marker for a one year period of the diary. That is the mark that I am looking to hit. One year of my diary along with my 40th birthday next year. That sounds good. Here's a few acknowledgements before we get started.

Eisen-verse- Like me, I know that you have tried other diaries but come back to your promotion, SWF, because it is almost like your child. Your work has always inspired me to move my work forward. Your writing is definitely one of, if not the, tops on this board. Thank you for, also, listening in through pm. You're a great guy.

KnowYourEnemy- KYE, as I call you, you have always been right there whenever I made the decision to start a new diary. You are there with predictions and comments. Those comments are very important as diaries move forward. You've always stood up for me and, while I may not always acknowledge it, I am very grateful for the support.

Beejus- You are another that's always been right there with predictions and comments. Your support is very important to me in the past and as we move forward. You never seem to judge me on this board and, again, that is something that is important to me. I am very grateful for that and for you.

jhd1- My diary partner in crime. We have done multiple joint games with each other and that means that I trust you when it comes to trading the saves back and forth. I appreciate your support both in public and in private as we trade PMs. You have definitely become more than just a name on here. You've become my friend.

King Bison - I can honestly say that you are an amazing render artist. A lot of the renders that I will be using will have been created by King Bison. He definitely gives me a lot of support here on the board and in PM. I am grateful for his continued support.

Render Artists- There are many of you that I could mention by name. Artists like shipshirt, willr0ck and many more. You help the game come alive and help new ideas get developed through your artistry. I am grateful for your hard work and I will definitely be showing that off here in this diary for all to see.

All Of My Readers- I could spend all day giving praise to all of the people behind the scenes who read, predict and talk with me. I am sorry if I haven't mentioned you specifically but you should all know that your reading and predicting and commenting help move my diaries forward. You are all amazing. Thank you for coming on my journey.

Speaking of that...may the journey commence...

Thank you for your kind words, Angel. I really appreciate it!

It's wonderful to see you back here on the boards and with USPW. As you said, when you book a company long enough it becomes almost like a 'child of creativity.' You see characters different and, in turn, the project can really jump off the page.

You know I'll be reading, my friend.

Hey E-V! Great to see you here. Glad to see that your diary has shot right to the moon. Thanks for reading and thanks for the predictions. It seems that many people have a thing for Jacob Jett. Though I do wonder what people think of my team name for him and Julius Moor.

Welcome back. :3

Good to have you back in the game, dude. Looking forward to seeing what your USPW has for us this time around.

Thanks, guys! I'm glad to see that I'm welcomed back with open arms by some very familiar faces. Maybe we'll see a prediction contest win for one of you as we move forward.

Very glad to see you back in TEW 2020. It's very much a departure from TEW 2016, but I think most of the changes are positive -- for me, it's exceeded all expectations!

Thanks for the shout-out angel! Weird enough, I had just started a diary about the same day you did.

Super stoked to see you back.

It's great to see you here, KYE. You've been one of my best long-time readers.

I know it's been a week since I started this diary without an actual show to show for it. Right now, I think I may have started this diary too soon just to get it started on my birthday. My writing muse has locked himself in another room and isn't letting me get at him to work on the shows. I am hoping to get re-started on the shows soon and I apologize to the readers.

Hey Kijar! Great to see you here. I can tell you that Jumbo is usually used either as a jobber or not used at all in a lot of games. It seems that he was thrown together in this tag team. Though they seem like they might be able to do some damage if booked correctly. Of course that's meaning in a Paul Heyman style where he gets the best of all of his athletes.

Your words do flatter me. I won't lie. Today, August 3, is definitely a tough day for me. It is the one year anniversary of my sister passing away from breast cancer. If there are any females reading this, please make sure you get checked when the time comes. The next life you save could be your own.

Now, let's see a posting of show #1.

USPW AMERICAN WRESTLING!

4RA6iK7.jpgDJYb4NZ.jpgbBgxJ1H.jpgnqmfMAO.jpgHGiVCe3.jpg3GPoy8i.jpg

[The Business is open here on USPW American Wrestling. The crowd boos as the USPW World Champion leads the group to the ring. They are walking in tandem, in a single file line. The Champion enters first and then the rest of The Business line up along one side of the ring. From right to left, we have Charlie Thatcher, Dusty Ducont, Elizabeth Cartier, Rajah and Sterling Whitlock. Rich Money has been given a microphone and he talks about how great it is to hold the gold. He says that he who holds the gold holds the power. But he who has The Business also has the power. He says that The Business means everything in this company. That is why he is the one that has been called upon to main event this first show in 2020. The USPW World Champion against the USPW National Champion Roger Cage. He admits that Cage is a smooth wrestler but there are no shortcuts to the top. There are no shortcuts to becoming what he is and that's the best wrestler in the business today. Why is the best? He makes the most money. That is why he's the best and always will be the best. It always comes down to Money. Money smirks as music interrupts his speech and he turns his eyes to the ramp.]

sPHKRcZ.jpgvpyOsUQ.jpg

[Running Wolf and Roger Cage walk out from the back together. Instead of approaching the ring, though, they remain at the top of the ramp with microphones. A sign goes up in the background, reading: 'You Can't Cage Roger!' Wolf tells Money that his avarice and his arrogance has angered the gods. The gods have given him their power and decided to use him as their weapon against a man who should not hold the highest title here. Money motions to Cage to say what he has to say right now. A sign goes up in the background, reading: 'CAGE RAGE!' Cage just shrugs and says he's just here to make sure that Running Wolf doesn't get attacked by The Business. Well, that and to show off the USPW National title belt. It looks good, right? Money responds that it doesn't look as good as his belt. But we'll find out later tonight who is the better man. Speaking of finding out who is the better man, Money has a proposition for Running Wolf and his gods. It is simple, if Running Wolf can defeat a member of The Business each week he will get a shot at the USPW World title. Money motions to Dusty Ducont, stating that he will be first and the match will be right now. Wolf agrees but only if everyone leaves without incident. Money calls Wolf cocky but he can accommodate that. He tells his Business colleagues not to touch Running Wolf and motions for everyone to leave the ring and head to the back except for Dusty Ducont.]

Match #1

bBgxJ1H.jpgrV1QUPi.jpgEPjkltT.jpgsPHKRcZ.jpg

Dusty Ducont vs. Running Wolf

[in an extremely short match, Running Wolf(71) defeated Dusty Ducont(53) in 4:51 by pinfall with a Wolf Tamer(fireman's carry slam).]

Winner: Running Wolf (Via Pinfall @ 4:51)

Match Rating: 53

3Jq9LuH.jpgxwwzLgd.jpgz4xWvBk.jpg

[With a satisfied crowd, we are taken to a video with the USPW World Tag Team Champions Jacob Jett and Julius Moor along with Jett's manager Persephone. Jett begins by noting that the two men here have a new name and that name is Flight and Might. The name shows exactly what they are going to use to beat every single tag team in USPW and beyond. He gives things over to his partner and Julius Moor says that they are prepared to destroy every tag team that steps in their way. That means that if any tag team wants to come from another federation? They are welcome to step in the ring with the two best athletes in America. Moor says they will prove it tonight when they take on two USPW veterans in Atlas and Jumbo Jackson as Shockwave. The only shockwave they're going to feel is Flight and Might running right through them for America. Moor begins a USA chant and Persephone smiles in the background. With that, we go back to the ring for this contest.]

Match #2

CdgonMa.jpgA1mDF8W.jpgEPjkltT.jpg3Jq9LuH.jpgxwwzLgd.jpgeT5mdV0.jpg

Non-Title Match

Shockwave(Atlas and Jumbo Jackson) vs. Flight(Jacob Jett) & Might(Julius Moor)

[in an extremely short match, Flight(60) & Might(66) defeated Shockwave(Atlas-55, Jackson-51) in 3:34 when Julius Moor pinned Atlas with a Charging Tackle.]

[sign seen in the audience: 'Welcome Home Angel!']

Winners: Flight & Might (Via Pinfall @ 3:34)

Match Rating: 56

pbvhXnD.jpgNuUqKdw.jpgU8167Eq.jpg

dj7LEs4.jpg

[backstage, Alicia Strong and The Muscle Monsters, also known as The Triumverate, are shown...walking. The woman who calls herself the Franchise of USPW, Strong, comes across her opponent for tonight, Miss American Pie. Pie is warming up for the match and Strong laughs at her. Strong says that Pie needn't warm up for their match because it's going to be over in about five seconds. That's two seconds for her to hit the Strong Arm Tactic or Angel Driver and then the three count. Strong says that Pie is someone that has always dropped the ball when given the opportunity to run things. Pie looks at her and then looks at the two women on either side of her, shaking her head. Pie says that tonight things are going to change because she takes a step toward the USPW Women's title by beating the Franchise. Strong warns Pie that she's biting off a little more than she can chew. But she'll see her in the ring. Glorious Gloria strikes Pie with a forearm shot, knocking her to the ground. The Triumverate step over her and walk off, preparing to head to the ring.]

Match #3

pbvhXnD.jpgEPjkltT.jpgdj7LEs4.jpg

Alicia Strong vs. Miss American Pie

[in a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but sub-par wrestling, Alicia Strong(77) defeated Miss American Pie(47) in 15:11 by pinfall with a Strong Arm Tactic.]

Winner: Alicia Strong (Via Pinfall @ 15:11)

Match Rating: 72

[After what was a superb performance by Miss American Pie in a loss, the announcers let us know that we are headed backstage. Backstage, we see Pariah, who seems to be getting prepared for an interview tonight. Announcer Brock Cornish reminds us that Pariah doesn't seem to get along with any of the women in the company. Nobody seems to trust her due to her past. The cameras follow as Pariah turns to walk toward the interview set but she is attacked from behind by Jillian Jarvis! These two women have been fighting since September of last year and the fight continues tonight. Pariah fights back and the two women are trading blows. The Iron Lady from New England is actually taken down with a body slam in the backstage area. Pariah sets up some boxes and goes for the Tornado DDT but Jarvis catches her. Jarvis throws Pariah down the hallway and then follows that up with a Tornado Elbow Smash. With Pariah on the floor and no one willing to help her, Jarvis locks in the Lockdown Choke Sleeper. Pariah fights against the hold but eventually passes out before Jarvis releases. Jarvis stomps on Pariah and says she'll see her at Stars, Stripes And Slams before we go back to the ringside area.]

FOnl7Hu.jpg

[The second hour of USPW American Wrestling begins this evening with one of the most popular wrestlers in the world walking out from the back. Nicky Champion high fives the fans on the way to the ring before giving one lucky fan a mini Native American headdress. He turns and walks up the stairs and into the ring with a microphone in hand. He begins by saying how glad and happy he is to be here at The Dust Bowl in Memphis Tennessee. But right now he needs to turn the focus to a man that has given him some trouble since arriving to USPW: Steve Frehley. He says that there have been times where The Dark Destroyer has his number. He reminds those who weren't watching then that Steve Frehley ended his fifth USPW World title reign back in 2015. Then, last July, Steve Frehley was responsible for ending his sixth title reign with his interference in Champion's title defense against Rich Money. Champion says he will always remember these moments in his career. He says that the Native American warriors that are watching and idolizing him and Running Wolf will never forget what happened. Champion says that we have a big show coming up called Stars, Stripes And Slams. He says that this would be a fitting place to end this feud. Before Champion can say anymore, he is interrupted by the music for The Dark Destroyer.]

Cm89CIG.jpg

[With his music playing, Steve Frehley comes out from the back to boos from this biased crowd. Frehley ignores them as he walks straight to the ring and steps inside with his rival. He gets nose-to-nose with Champion before taking a step back. He asks for a microphone but before he can talk, Champion talks first. Champion asks him that, if he is going to get that close again, may he recommend a breath mint? Frehley tells Champion that he's real cute but tonight is not about little catchy and witty sayings. Tonight is about the Hawkeye going one on one with The Dark Destroyer at Stars, Stripes And Slams. But a regular match doesn't seem to be right for this kind of match. Frehley says that the two of them should fight inside a steel cage. The only way to win is by pinfall or submission. Champion seems to think for a moment before he accepts the challenge for a steel cage match. Frehley smiles at that and then throws the first punch! Champion fires back with a punch! The brawl is on between these two USPW veterans! Frehley gets the advantage by catching Champion with a spinning spinebuster. Frehley steps back into the corner and waits there, perched, as Champion moves to his feet. When Champion gets up, Frehley charges with The Dark Destroyer Spear -- Leap frog by Nicky Champion! Frehley gets back up quickly but Champion is right on him. Champion throws several punches as suddenly security enters the ring. The security works hard to separate the two wrestlers. While the two wrestlers continue to brawl, we go to a video.]

RGGyqir.jpg

nzkKpim.jpg

YFz3Pv3.jpg

[it's time for Update with Danny Jillefski! Jillefski says he hopes that everyone is enjoying the show so far. Then, he announces that, next week, we will see this man in action. The video cuts to a promo by Grandmaster Phunk. Phunk begins by saying that 2020 is the year of the Phunk. He talks about working hard to get here and now that he's here, he's not going anywhere. Phunk then says he's got a match next week against Funky Fedora. He admits to liking Fedora's style just a little bit. However, that will not stop him from beating the funk out of him next week. Phunk poses and we go back to Danny Jillefski. Jillefski says he cannot wait to see that match. Speaking of must-see matches, he sends us to the leader of The Olympus Order, Zeus. Zeus begins the promo by welcoming everyone to worship at the altar of Zeus. He says that there is one man that he is going to force to sacrifice to that altar and that man is Roger Cage. The sacrifice will be the USPW National title belt. The place will be Stars, Stripes And Slams. Zeus tells Cage to prove that he is a man worthy of holding the title by facing off with a god. He warns Cage that it is impossible for a human to climb Mount Olympus. That means that Cage will fall. Zeus calls for a lightning strike and it seems to hit as the cameras fade to black.]

Match #4

DJYb4NZ.jpgHGiVCe3.jpg3GPoy8i.jpg

EPjkltT.jpg

gsJ61mN.jpg5v3mqg7.jpgQPM1qXI.jpg

The Business (Charlie Thatcher, Rajah and Sterling Whitlock) vs. American Gold(Maliek Chamberlain and Marcus English) and Regular Joe

[in an abysmal match, The Business (Rajah(41), Charlie Thatcher(44) and Sterling Whitlock(53)) defeated Regular Joe(42) and American Gold(English-39, Chamberlain-36) in 6:32 when Charlie Thatcher pinned Regular Joe with a Crusher Legdrop.

In terms of in-ring work, Sterling Whitlock was head and shoulders above everyone else.]

Winners: The Business (Via Pinfall @ 6:32)

Match Rating: 50

[it is time for the Fish Shop courtesy of Belle Bryden. We are in a video with this segment that seems like it's in an actual fish store with aquariums filled with fish all around. Bryden welcomes everyone to the Fish Shop where tonight's special guest is Bulldozer Brandon Smith! Smith walks out from the back and joins Bryden in the Fish Shop. He shakes her hand and waits for her to ask questions. Bryden begins by mentioning that it's been a couple of years since Smith last held a title here and that was the National title. She wonders if he thinks he might be ready to move up to the World title scene. Smith tells her to just look at him. He says that he is the most powerful wrestler in USPW and that means that Rich Money better be prepared to face off with a Bulldozer coming his way. Smith throws a few shadow punches before Bryden continues. She asks him about his upcoming bout with Trent Shaffer at Stars, Stripes And Slams. Smith says that Shaffer has been a thorn in his side since October. But it's time the two of them finally go one on one. It is time for Shaffer to feel the Backdrop Driver courtesy of the Bulldozer. Smith might have gone on but two people walked onto the set, interrupting his interview.]

[Those two people, of course, are Trent Shaffer and Raven Robinson. The man known as The Talent makes a motion that Smith is talking way too much. He has a microphone of his own and he leans over to Robinson, asking her if she'd rather have him or someone like the Bulldozed over here. Robinson, of course, says that she wants him. Then she says that she knows why they call him the Bulldozer and that's because he dozes people right off to sleep any time he's on the microphone. Robinson and Shaffer laugh with each other and Smith goes right up to them, asking them if they want to say something to his face. Shaffer says that he has something to tell Smith and that's at Stars, Stripes And Slams, The Talent is going to be greater than The Bulldozer. Smith tells Shaffer that the only way that might even happen is if Shaffer's rat gets involved in the match. Robinson slaps Smith! She goes for another but Smith grabs her by the wrist. Shaffer catches Smith with a low blow kick and then drops him with a brainbuster on the set! The crowd boos in the background as security comes out. Shaffer and Robinson raise their arms and this might be how things end at Stars, Stripes And Slams.]

Match #5

Kirk Jameson vs. Greg Black

[in a bout that had terrible wrestling and non-existent crowd heat, Greg Black(53) defeated Kirk Jameson(49) in 0:52 by pinfall with a Fade To Black(reverse underhook driver).]

Winner: Greg Black (Via Pinfall @ 0:52)

Match Rating: 55

Yg3toN5.jpgCtre4ma.jpg

[Following a short match and with a very hot crowd, we are taken backstage where 'The Complete Package' Joss Thompson is...walking. Thompson seems to be eating an energy bar. When he finishes, he tosses the wrapper into what he thought was an empty space. Instead, the wrapper bounces off the chest of Rick Law, who is lurking in the shadows with Dawn Gemmell. Law looks down at it and then back up to Thompson, who seems to be walking off. Law bends over and picks up the trash, grabbing Thompson from behind and swinging him around. Law tells him that there is no trash can there and needs to throw away his trash. Thompson smirks and grabs the trash, throwing it in Law's face. The arrogant Thompson tells Law to throw it away for him. Law says he knows how to deal with lawbreakers like Thompson and grabs him, spinning him around and slamming him chest-first into the wall. Law tells Thompson that he is going to get some hard time next week when the two of them go one-on-one. He releases and grabs the trash, disposing of it before walking away with Dawn at his side.]

Match #6

Non-Title Match

Champion Versus Champion

Rich Money vs. Roger Cage

[in a bout that had good heat and decent wrestling, Rich Money(80) defeated Roger Cage(60) in 15:02 by pinfall with a Bank Roll(side belly-to-belly suplex) following interference from Charlie Thatcher.]

[sign seen in the audience: 'Money has JUMPED the SHARK, CAGE!']

Winner: Rich Money (Via Pinfall @ 15:02)

Match Rating: 81

4RA6iK7.jpgDJYb4NZ.jpg

[uSPW World Champion Rich Money has defeated USPW National Champion Roger Cage with the help of the muscle of The Business, Charlie Thatcher. Thatcher helps Money to his feet and then disposes of Cage by throwing him over the top rope to the floor. Money takes a moment to recover from this great match before asking for a microphone. Money begins by telling the fans here to shut up because he could buy and sell every single one of them. He says that earlier tonight he gave Running Wolf a chance to look him in the eye and Wolf didn't take it. Instead, the coward made him clear out The Business from the ring before he would come down. Well, Money points around, all that's out here is himself and Charlie Thatcher. And he just had a tough match against the National Champion. So is this a good time for that Native American wimp to come out and face him? Money drops the microphone and looks ready to go face-to-face with Running Wolf. He points toward the ramp and...]

[Running Wolf comes out from the back to stand on the top of the ramp. His eyes are focused on Rich Money in the ring that he doesn't see Dusty Ducont, Rajah and Sterling Whitlock move in from both sides and attack him. The numbers game easily overtakes Running Wolf as Rich Money laughs in the ring. Money tells them to bring him to the ring and that's exactly what they do. Wolf is rolled into the ring where Money begins stomping on his head. Money picks up Wolf and drops him with the Bank Roll. The crowd boos loudly as Money is handed his USPW World title belt. He drops to his knees in front of Running Wolf and tells Wolf that this is the closest he will ever come to this belt. He begins throwing straight right hands and, on commentary, Brock Cornish calls this stupid. He says that Money is a disgrace to this company. In the ring, Money continues to both physically and mentally humiliate Running Wolf. Dusty Ducont grabs Wolf and tosses him across the ring with a Thrown Power Bomb. Wolf lands hard but no one comes out from the back to save him and to confront The Business. Money gets his arm raised by bodyguard Charlie Thatcher as the show comes to an end. Make sure you tune in next week!]

Good first show! I'm sorry that it's the one year anniversary. If you need someone to talk to, you can always reach out!

Hey Historian! Glad you enjoyed the first show, though it took me long enough to get it out. Hopefully, that kind of thing won't happen again in the future.

I appreciate your words about the anniversary. It was tough though I did a lot of 'fake it till you make it' yesterday. The days ahead right now continue to be tough so I might take you up on the offer. Then again I might just want to crawl into a hole and be alone. Depression is a wonderful thing. LOL.

NEWS: USPW AMERICAN WRESTLING PREVIEW!

NID5u5V.jpg

Welcome to the most must-see television program in the history of television. Welcome to USPW American Wrestling. Last week was the very first show of the decade and it ended with a bang and USPW World Champion
Rich Money
defeating USPW National Champion
Roger Cage
. This week's main event should, also, be a great one as former six time USPW World Champion
Nicky Champion
steps in the ring with former six time USPW World Tag Team Champion
D.C. Rayne
. Can Rayne make a transition from tag team wrestling to singles wrestling when facing one of the most popular wrestlers in the world today? Make sure you tune in and find out when these two popular wrestlers meet.

Speaking of the Natural Storm team, the other member,
Eddie Howard
will also be in action. He will step in the ring with one time USPW World Champion The Dark Destroyer
Steve Frehley
. The Natural is a former six time USPW World Tag Team Champion but he does have the strength and power to match up with Frehley? Howard had better avoid the Frehley's Comet if he wants to survive in this match.

After getting good ratings last week,
Belle Bryden
will be bringing The Fish Shop back to Amercian Wrestling this week. Her special guests will be none other than USPW World Tag Team Champions
Flight & Might
. Last week, those two men issued an open challenge for their tag team titles at Stars, Stripes And Slams. They have told us that they have gathered up a lot of offers for that match. On this show, they are going to go through those offers on this show to determine just who deserves a title match.

At the beginning of the show last week,
Running Wolf
was challenged to run through the Business Gauntlet. If he could defeat four members of The Business in a row, then he would earn a USPW World title shot at Stars, Stripes And Slams against Rich Money. Last week, he defeated
Dusty Ducont
. This week, he continues the gauntlet by taking on the veteran
Rajah
. Rajah will be looking to help secure his place in The Business by picking up this win. On the other hand, Running Wolf is looking for a USPW World title match. Make sure you tune in and see this heavyweight bout.

In the first hour of USPW American Wrestling, we will see a first hour women's tag team main event. The USPW Women's Champion
Jaime Quine
will have her first match in 2020 as she teams up with the veteran and former USPW Women's Champion
Raven Robinson
. Those two women will step in the ring with two women who have been working together as of late against The Triumverate. Those two women are
Melody
and
Sara Marie
. Quine will be looking to solidify her reign as USPW Women's Champion with a victory, while all three other women will be looking to make their mark as challengers to that Women's title.

We will also see matches such as
Funky Fedora
taking on what seems to be his predecessor in
Grandmaster Phunk
and 'The Complete Package'
Joss Thompson
stepping in the ring with the man who makes sure that everyone obeys the rules
Rick Law
. Plus there will be more! Remember, the live aspect of USPW American Wrestling means that anything can happen. Make sure you BE THERE and, as always, Keep Pounding!

Good show, my friend, and it's nice to see you back. Much like Historian, I'm here as an ear to vent at or a body to lean on.

Look after yourself and when inspiration strikes, keep em'coming.

Hey Sco xY2Jx, thanks for the comments. I'm glad you enjoyed the first show. As I said before, I hope to keep things a little more regular from this day forward, at least having one show a week. I hope to get back to my DOTM winning status. Though, I've never been at DOTY winning status so who knows what the future will hold.

Thanks for the opportunity to vent and lean on. As I told Historian, I may just take you up on that and I appreciate the offer.
