I have gone back and reformatted the shows posted so far, hopefully it is an improvement. I do want to apologies for giving credit to the wrong person for the belts and stable pictures used, it was an honest mistake and I am sorry. I’m going to do an Admin / comparison to the real Stardom in this post, roster review next post then finally onto the main shows. Etiquette Maybe as a British newbie to Stardom, I don’t quite understand certain nuances of Joshi wrestling but to me the constant snubbing of handshakes is really disrespectful, which is weird as Japanese wrestling is all about respect. With everything going on at the moment I completely understand but even before the pandemic handshakes were rare. So, in my head, handshakes before matches are compulsory (Doesn’t stop the heels from twisting / squeezing etc.). Now the rant is out of the way lol. Factions Stars Led by Mayu Iwatani, it has been a successful period for the faction who hold 3 single belts and look set to continue to be the poster girls of the company. The ultimate gooder than good faces who can be cocky at times but are mostly horrified at any disrespect from the other factions. In real life I hated how Mayu kicked Jungle out of the ring after Jungle's incredible promo but am hopeful Stars can continue to grow. Oedo Tai I feel like they are struggling from constantly losing and currently feel like losers in real life. In my diary, a strong Wonder Title run from Tora ended by Tam Nakano, ASUKA. being forced to join via blackmail, Kashima & Sumire coming together as a team officially hopefully will allow them to bring the best out of each otherand lastly, Priestley & Hayter coming back to lose the Goddesses tag belts may seem like a waste, realistically though there was no way with how the story played out they could win. TCS Slight rebranding by dropping the full Tokyo Cyber Squad to just TCS in my diary as personally, in my opinion, thinking of Hana as the leader of any Cyber Squad makes me feel a little bit sick. In real life they are having a match with Oedo Tai with the TCS losing meaning the faction disband (Not saying I thought of this idea for Stardom but we’ll get to QQ later). They have the Tag belts but are looking to rebuild. Donna Del Mondo Speaking of QQ’s conquers, Donna Del Mondo have had a successful start disbanding QQ, retaining the Artist of Stardom Titles and have seemingly recruited a major star in Momo Watanabe! Syuri this year is only going to appear sparingly as in my save she is working everywhere! Rossy kind of forces them down our throats, main-eventing the majority of the recent shows, closing the first show back and even when they lost to Oedo Tai they closed. If Giulia leans into her heelish side, it may be more tolerable. I don’t hate her, just think she is being pushed way too hard. QQ - Disbanded Ahh Queen's Quest, Io Shirai’s baby, passed onto Momo but I feel like its time for them to break up. The Tag match in real life highlights how awesome they all are but the Q hand sign to cockily promote their “We’re better than you” vibe in my opinion has run it’s course. Every member has incredible potential though so it will be fun to see how they progress. Titles – Since June 2020 World of Stardom Mayu Iwatani - November 2019 to Present – 6 Defences Wonder of Stardom Natsuko Tora – June 2020 to January 2021 – 3 Defences Tam Nakano – January 2021 – Present – 0 Defences Goddesses of Stardom Oedo Tai (Bea Priestley & Jamie Hayter) – January 2020 to January 2021 - 1 Defences TCS (Jungle Kyona & Konami) – January 2021 to Present – 0 Defences Artist of Stardom Donna Del Mondo (Giulia, Syuri & Maika) – February 2020 – Present – 4 Defences Future of Stardom Saya Iida - September 2020 to January 2021 – 3 Defences Natsumi Apache – January 2021 to Present – 0 Defences Retiring - SWA Heavyweight Title Jamie Hayter – January 2020 to Present – 3 Defences Retiring - High Speed Title Riho – August 2019 to September 2020 – 2 Defences AZM – September 2020 to January 2021 – 4 Defences Starlight Kid – January 2021 to Present – 0 Defences Warrior of Stardom – Tour Belt being introduced by merging the SWA & High speed belt together at the next event. In my opinion they are both so badly mistreated and hard to book, whereas a tour belt could be perfect for international expansion and to give tour matches a little more meaning Cinderella 2020 – Giulia 5 Star GP 2020 – Miyu Yamashita Upcoming Schedule My format of tour shows on Monday and Wednesday with the event at the last Friday of the month and 3 months of rest during the year couldn’t be further from what Stardom actually do in real life. They have a much more fluid build with some fixed dates for their main shows. My schedule is really unrealistic but actually would result in the workers being able to rest, potentially increase their careers and not get overexposed. Destiny 2021 – February Week 4 - Draft or transfer window where storylines are reset and factions are drafted. In real life Stardom have recently introduced a draft but in general they don’t have a fixed event. Cinderella 2021 – March Week 4 - A 16 Woman single elimination tournament. The winner is granted one wish and gets to wear a dress. I’m keeping the same format as real life. April - Rest Stardom X Stardom 2021 – May Week 4 - A normal event. Resilience 2021 – June Week 4 – A normal event. Invitational 2021 – July Week 4 - A Mayu Iwatani created event which features other Joshi wrestlers and women from around the world. (Not really a thing in real life but they do run international shows). August - Rest 5 Star GP 2021 – September Week 4 - a round robin tournament with 2 blocks of 8 wrestlers, the winners of each block meet in the finals, winner main events the Anniversary show. (I have copied real life setup but I’m not sure if the winner actually main events the Anniversary or just becomes the number one contender). Goddess of Stardom Tag Cup 2021 – October Week 4 - A one-night tournament with qualifying matches followed by a 4 way tag team battle, for intrigue and to rest the workers somewhat. (In real life, 5 Star style but for tag teams). Year End Climax 2021 – November Week 4 - The second biggest card to round off the year in both cases. December - Rest 11th Anniversary – January Week 4 – Their version of Wrestlemania where all the big matches are built to. Dojo / Young Lions rule I have manually set up a Stardom Dojo. It has Training at 50% and Facilities at 25%. This means that roughly 3 students would be expected to turn professional over the course of a year. I did this to get around Rossy’s Owner Goals and to hopefully recreate Stardoms homegrown initiative without being too overpowered. The new recruits will only work tour dark matches until after the next anniversary, where they will enter the “Future division” aiming for the future belt for 2 years when they can be drafted into a faction or released. Mini Draft Lastly, at the next Stardom event Destiny, each of the 4 factions will draft one former Queen's Quest member each alongside one new signing each. Strech Posted August 10, 2020 Author Share Posted August 10, 2020 Roster Overview (For this specific diary so far) Mayu Iwatani Stardom’s Icon has lived up to her nickname, being the centre point of the diary so far. After being pushed to her limit by Jungle Kyona, successful defences came against Takumi Iroha, Syuri & Miyu Yamashita. The feud with Yamashita was perfect for giving a storyline reason for Stardom’s focus has been on developing internal talent and her missing the 5 Star. With her protégé to debut and a 14 month and counting World Title run to cement her legacy, this is an exciting time for Mayu. Tam Nakano Wonder of the Universe Tam Nakano is the cutest Kawaii underdog of Stars! Putting her mainly against Natsuko Tora was the perfect good vs evil wrestling story 101 to propel her into a strong 2021. After a quiet 5 Star she managed to shine in the Year-End Climax battle royal and ultimately take the belt that was so cruelly taken away from her friend Arisa Hoshiki due to injuries. She loves Mayu and a seed has been planted at the Goddess Cup around Mayu “letting her down” but she definitely can’t be ignored by Mayu now! Starlight Kid With hindsight Starlight Kid winning the High-speed title is a huge surprise as this was her first event win of the diary. I really like the contrast and rivalry between AZM and herself, playing into the co-dependency of each other to succeed. I’m counting on her to be develop into a major role after her storyline with AZM. Saya Iida I’m gutted that Iida isn’t performing as well as she is in real life as I really like her! For me, a worthy Future of Stardom Champion. She has bags of charisma and is officially moving away from the future title scene to continue her development with the main roster. Hanan A quiet start for Hanan that will be addressed in this upcoming year. Hanan was out for over a year in real life I believe so hopefully this ease back into things will mean she can now kick on. Jungle Kyona Round and round she’ll mow you down with Jungle Power! Being one half of the Tag champs maybe disappointing considering she took the World champion to her limit, but the fire of the Jungle prayer circle continues to burn, so her time has to come… Konami The technically gifted talent with her submission move the Triangle Lancers winning percentage still at 100%! I tried to show her heart and a little bit of character by coming out and confronting the tag champions by herself thanks to Deaths injury before her good friend Kyona backed her up.She is putting in some really impressive performances too. Death Yama-San “Death! Death! Death Yama, Death!” ASUKA. I have included her here as originally, she was only meant to stay for the 5 Star, but after day 1 she walked out of SEAdLINNNG. Her undefeated 5 Star performances are and continue to be at a main event level, so bringing the free agent in was a no brainer. Hopefully, the story with Tora is an interesting reason for why she stayed after the 5 Star and will help create a breakout babyface. Natsuko Tora The Oedo Tai leader has a new mic scratching gimmick to go alongside her manipulative trait that I’m looking to develop. A smart but despicable heel, her Wonder title belt reign may have been weaker than I wanted but hopefully her character change is welcomed and will lead to future success. Saki Kashima Hopefully, her official pairing with Sumire will bring out some of the character to take her to the next level. She is talented but for now I feel like the tag ranks is about right for now with room to grow. Natsu Sumire Natsu is an underrated talent in her own right. The coach gimmick helps her to continue to express herself. Thinking out loud as I’m typing this, could life coach Natsu lecturing the fans on how to sort out their lives, to attract a woman like her be worth making a note of … Bea Priestley Bea’s attitude on the mod of “Prickly” which makes pushing her difficult alongside a 3-month injury picked up at the anniversary. It may be a difficult year for the Top Gaijin. Jamie Hayter Jamie will branch out from her tag team with Bea as she is a seriously talented wrestler. Winning the tour belt “Warrior of Stardom” will be goal number one before targeting other belts. Giulia Leading her faction to victory against Queen’s Quest hopefully will give Giulia a huge wave of momentum heading into 2021. Her dynamic with Momo could be exciting as if they were to get on the same page Donna Del Mondo will be a huge force to be reckoned with. Syuri I have underutilized Syuri especially with how legitimate her MMA background is. Her commitments with every Joshi company under the sun in this save has been the main reason but hopefully the year-end climax main event delivered in legitimizing Mayu’s reign. Maika Putting in solid midcard ratings right away, Maika is definitely a hot prospect within Stardom. Has been ordered around by Giulia quite heavily so far but she has the potential to breakout and flourish. Momo Watanabe 20 years old. She carries herself like an absolute star, but I feel like the fresh start in DDM is what is needed alongside playing into the long-term story of her taking over faction’s vs creating her own unique one. Plus, if Io Shirai ever comes back there is a readymade story… Utami Hayashishita 2 years of ring experience yet again Utami to looks like an absolute star. She will be moving to a lone wolf type character with her having to learn to trust her new faction. A strong 5 Star but a failed tag team title challenge with Kamitani meant that it was a little bit of a cool off for Utami, but she is poised to shift that momentum this year. AZM AZM is the most talented teenager I’ve ever seen and my favourite wrestler in the world right now. Winning the High Speed title in a triple threat pinning Starlight Kid followed by having Riho beat but Starlight distracting anyway may with hindsight make her look weak but I wanted to tell a story so hopefully both AZM & Kid can start to move up the card. Losing the title at the Anniversary hurt to book but as she has 0 wins 2 draws and now 6 losses record against Kid in singles competition this can be called back on in the future. Saya Kamitani “Tall Saya” is an athletic young woman who has graduated past the Future division just like Iida and again is ready to take the world by storm. Hopefully, a new faction will be just what she needs to kick start her career. Kairi Hojo The Pirate Princess has returned! I think realistically this will be a 1 year run but I desperately want to see it in real life! A key detail that will be called upon is that the Pirate hat she wears to the ring will have a strap around her chin and worn during matches (Just like a rugby scrum cap) which may seem ridiculous, but it’ll all become clear. Natsumi Apache The Future of Stardom Champion and latest mist enthusiast, Natsumi Apache comes from a family of wrestling royalty and hopefully has some serious heat after misting Rina and stealing the title. I’m relying on her to be the foundation for the future division to be built around. New Recruits / young lions division (Must be 16 years old or above): Chisayo Mayu’s Protégé for this diary will be the 18 years old “Chisayo”. Just like Mayu, she’s a hardworking, anxious woman who is loyal to her family and friend. She also only signed exclusively with Stardom on the basis her best friend Yuriko was also signed too. Yuriko Morioka Chisayo’s best friend is the goofy 16 years old Yuriko Morioka. She like to be the centre of attention and relies on Chisayo to keep out of trouble. Sui Nui A 21 years old, Technician Stricker who has competent stats. She has the “Loner” personality which fits my idea of her sneaking under the radar with the potential to surprise some of the future stars who may underestimate her. Bianca Marella New signing Bianca is the real-life daughter of former WWE superstar Santino Marella. In this diary her father supports her decision to compete in Japan but has told Bianca she has 2 years to win a title, otherwise he will stop funding her expenses and require her to return to Canada. Short term outsiders: Miyu Yamashishita Miyu played her role perfectly. After assembling the best of the top Joshi scene and leading them to victory, she won her 5 Star block with some top performances, toppled the unstoppable ASUKA and came so close to beating Stardom’s number 1 talent. It took her own move being used against her to keep her down for the three count and hopefully she has raised awareness of both her own and other Joshi promotions talents. Takumi Iroha, Saori Anou, Hiragi Kurumi, Hanako Nakamori Some strong performances from the other 4 ladies. Iroha was a standout and had a really good title match with Iwatani. The others surely raised their profile just by competing in the tournament. Departing: Rina, Hina, Itsuki Hoshino, Ruaka, Riho Rina & Hina are incredibly talented considering they are 14 but they need to spend some time away from wrestling to focus on school and process this difficult time. They will be major players for Stardom if they decide to stick with wrestling but for now, they need to some time away. Itsuki’s real life retirement was sad as she is so talented. I didn’t really have any plan for her, and I’d feel weird booking her, so she has been released. Ruaka could well develop, but I think it would be best for now to go separate ways and revaluate in a few years. Also I like the way you drafted people, wasn't a fan of the concept when they introduced it as it felt like just messing with the factions for no reason but I enjoyed the way you went about it. Chisayo vs Hanan vs Pre-Match Promo’s: Mayu teaches Chisayo the importance of bouncing back and accepting all challenges. Hanan requested this match as she believes Mayu has been ignoring her after calling her the “Future” of Stars, wants to test herself against Mayu’s protégé. Chisayo (25) drew with Hanan (24) in 5:00 when the time limit expired (13). Post-match they shake hands and seem to respect each other TCS (Konami, Jungle Kyona & Bobbi Tyler) vs Oedo Tai (Jamie Hayter, Saki Kashima & Natsu Sumire) vs Pre-Match Promo’s: Tyler concerned about Kyona, but Konami assure her she is just focussed on a strong performance.
