Elite Pro Wrestling. Aussie Backyard to Global

Recommended Posts

EDIT: There will be a few controversial story lines. It wont be the main focus every single show but there are a few things that will pop up eventually. I will keep it vague, more like "so and so said something racist" instead of typing out exactly what line they said or something. There may also be woman basically being portrayed as sex objects like pretty much what it was in the late 90s with WWF. There may be heels who refuse to wrestle against someone because they are from a certain area of the world. There may be wrestlers refusing to work with people based on sexual orientation. There may be a cocky character who refuses to wrestler overweight guys and fat shame them. There may be a rich heel who makes fun of poor people. This is fantasy, not real life. I do not condone these types of things in real life. Also, bigoted characters will be portrayed as heels. They are supposed to be hated.

Channel 7 News

Thank you all for joining us on Channel 7 News live from Australia. Our top story tonight, a group of young men are facing multiple charges after holding a wrestling event at Trance Records earlier this week.

24 year old Jack Avatar is said to be the organizer of this event and calls his promotion Elite Pro Wrestling. The owner of Trance Records was told that there would be a wrestling event held. What was actually held was more like an illegal underground fight club. The owner had come back to the venue just as the show was ending and had never seen so much violence, blood, and x rated filth in one place. Immediately after the show, police swarmed the area and arrested all parties involved.

Lawyers are arguing that no laws were broken, and this was all under the umbrella of a wrestling show. Defenders of EPW point to the fact that 52 year old Veteran Gregg Michael was in attendance as an on hands guide to help organize the show. They also had 1 person on the show known as bloodsport, who is currently working with the wrestling organisation Deep Impact Wrestling.

However, the other 7 people at this event had no record of ever being hired by a legitimate wrestling company. All of the people on this show besides Avatar and Michaels were 21 or younger.

New wrestling promotion or a violent fight club? You can vote on our official website. Stay tuned for more updates.

Wrestling News Network Exclusive

We here at Wrestling News Network have an update on a story ran last week on Channel 7 News. While no footage is known to exist, we tracked down one of the fans at the event and they gave us a report of the show.

EPW Tournament of Terror

Held in Trance Records (south Australia) on Saturday week 1, January 2020

Show rating: 19

Attendance: 36

Not broadcast

David Avatar comes out and hypes 8 man tournament of terror. 1st round will be hardcore matches, 2nd round will be dog collar matches, and the final will be a light tube match. Winner will receive the tournament of terror trophy and will also be crowned the first ever EPW World Champion 25

Ice Ice davey defeats Bloodsport 12

Dee Lucketti defeats XS 4

Angle: Leon Maine says hardcore wrestling is beneath him. Maine insults the crowed for supporting such filth. 25

The fixer defeats Leon Maine 11

Maniac Monster defeats Quick Zee 13

2nd round

Ice Ice Davey defeats Dee Lucketti in a dog collar match 14

The Fixer defeats Maniac Monster in a dog collar match 17

Angle: Davey beats down Fixer immediately after the pinfall leading to the final match. Ice Ice Davey has the upper hand now as The Fixer had no time at all to rest in between matches. 11

Finals:

The Fixer defeats Ice Ice Davey in a Light Tube match to win EPW world and tournament. 18

Angle: Fixer celebrates title and tourny win with crowed. 10

Fans in attendance are said to have enjoyed the show. While the actual wrestling is pretty bad, the fans are said to have been drawn in by the over the top violence, reminiscent of the old DAVE promotion in the 90s. Tickets being free is also a huge plus. Unfortunately as reported on the news earlier, the show was raided by the police at the end. All parties involved have been cleared of all criminal charges, yet David Avatar has been permanently banned from the venue. With no other small suitable venue in the area, fans are wondering when and where the next show will be held.

Trying to pace it out so I have an update a day, or atleast every other day. I dont want to make the same mistake of some people who go on a binge and post like 17 shows on the same day IRL, and then go 2 weeks IRL with no update. I would rather play the game and always have like 2-3 shows worth of stuff already done so that way even if i dont feel the urge to play at all, i can still just hop on here quick and post an update.

Also, feel free to steal this, but your joke somehow made me think of this god awful gimmick. Just have backstage vignettes of Eric eating a ham sandwich and Jen slowly sipping an ice tea staring off into the distance. Go on for a solid 45 seconds with no dialogue. Generic as hell. I dont know why i find this so funny.

After EPWs incident at Trance Records, Owner Mr. Avatar has announced that he has spent $2,400 setting up a makeshift venue in his own backyard to avoid any further legal trouble. The money went towards setting up a cheap ring, entrance way, chairs for the fans, etc. The setup is said to be capable of seating up to 100 people. We did some digging and found out that Avatar is pouring his life savings into EPW, a mere $20,000. Industry experts say this company has no chance of surviving but Avatar is determined to prove them wrong. While $2,400 is a big chunk of the budget, it will save EPW money over time by lowering the venue hire cost per show. We also have reports that most wrestlers on the show are only getting paid 30-40 dollars per event. Here is a comprehensive breakdown of EPWS budget which we will be bringing you each month.

EPW has just announced details of their upcoming 2nd show. It will be the first event from their new venue simply dubbed "The EPW Backyard". The event will be called EPW Broken Hearted and will take place on valentines day.

In the Main Event, we will see a rematch between Ice Ice Davey and The Fixer for the EPW World Title. Ironically enough, Davey demanded the title shot saying the first match was a fluke. He blamed the loss on having to fight 2 other tough opponents before fighting The Fixer. He neglected to mention in his excuse that The Fixer also had to fight 2 prior matches, and was also ambushed right after the semi final by Davey, resulting in him having no rest between back to back matches. We will see if Davey can come up with any more excuses when he inevitably loses the rematch. This time it will be a Last Man Standing match.

Local bar room brawler turned wrestler Wrecker will make his debut on the show.

We will also be seeing the debut of Vortex. Vortex was an up and coming star until a horrible injury back in 2015. A botched Plancha lead to a torn quad. The road back to stardom has been tough and Vortex hopes to prove himself in the ultra hardcore EPW.

Lastly, we received the huge announcement just minutes ago that Avatar has set up a dream match for us.

Kalliope woodchuck vs Thea Davis in a Wet T-shirt match has been added to event. Both woman will face off in scantily clad attire while fans in attendance are encouraged to throw water balloons at the competitors, hit them with super soaker water guns, or even grab the garden hose in the back yard and spray them. Anything to get a few horny teenagers and young males to come to a wrestling show. EPW is really living up to its reputation as X rated Filth. Neither have been signed long term and this is said to be a special one off match for both. Woodchuck is the current Zen Conceptual champion, while Davis is the reigning EWA Womans champ. It is rare that we get to see 2 champions from separate promotions face off. Even more rare seeing it in a backyard wrestling show but somehow Avatar has pulled it off.

Man I really like the Vortex pickup I have been looking at him for my APW diary.

Kalliope coming over to Aus is just huge. Leon Maine losing in such a way, HOW DARE DEE! Nice to see the debuting guys ready to square off after wins. XS is horrible, but at least he isn't Sexxxy SJB. Actually they need to have a match together.

Yah, i have no idea how I ended up getting both those women. I actually didnt even realize they were both title holders until after I signed them. They actually didn't cost too much either. I think like an extra 250 or something combined. That will probably be my highest rated match for a long time.

Also, ive been having so much fun running a diary so far. It holds me accountable and stops me from just booking all willy nilly for no reason. Like I actually have to put effort into having things make sense on why these guys are fighting, and not just putting the 2 best workers together to get a good match rating.

Im actually quite a bit ahead right now in the game, but I might have to look at Sexxxy SJB. Is it possible to get a 0 match rating in this game? maybe have them do a 60 min iron man match lol.

Vortex and Wrecker are meeting after both winning last show and challenging eachother to a match. These 2 brawlers will be wrestling in a Rooftop Madness Match. They will wrestle on the rooftop of the backyard venue and the winner is the first one to throw the opponent off the roof.

Dee Lucketti and Leon Maine are both 1-1. Leon Maine is looking to prove that the first matchup which ended in a quick rollup was just a fluke win. After winning the rematch last month, a win here would show that Maine really did have an excuse for that first loss.

EPW have also signed 2 more new wrestlers. Banky Bremnar and Jesse Tasman. Both wrestlers will most likely be on the next show, however no match involving either have been confirmed so far.

Dee Lucketti vs Leon Maine - Release of the lion!

You had 2 out of 3 correct. Wrecker got the win but we havent seen the last of Vortex. Im sorta high on both guys. Will probably cut a few people as we grow bigger but they def wont be anywhere near the first guys to go. They actually outdid my main event. May only be 5 points but thats a huge difference when im only pulling 20 or 30 ratings.

You actually would have went 3 for 3 but Leon Maine got injured. I actually had him booked as the winner but the game changed it because of the injury. Cool feature, this is the first time ive actually seen it used. Of course I just added the details of how he lost, but yah, my first on the fly change due to injury, this diary is writing itself!
