Your Companies "Top 10 DVD" Match List

Recommended Posts

We had this question a little bit ago in a server I'm in, so I'll just copy and paste what I wrote. I couldn't figure out a proper "Top Ten of all time in the save", so instead I wrote one for one of the top figures in the save, Sami Zayn. I started the save in 2018 (Both in the save and in real life), and am currently in January 2022.

The InZayn Collection: The Explosive Rise of The Underdog from The Underground

Between every match there'd be some interviews with guys like Shane McMahon, Kevin Owens, Daniel Bryan and so and so, and little promo videos talking about Sami's career up to that point.

Sami Zayn vs. Daniel Bryan

WrestleMania 34

Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn vs. The Usos vs. The Bludgeon Brothers ©

For the Smackdown Tag Team Championships at Money in The Bank 2018

Kevin Owens vs. Sami Zayn w/ Shane McMahon as Special Guest Referee

Summerslam 2018

Kevin Owens vs. Sami Zayn

Last Man Standing at WrestleMania 35

Sami Zayn vs. Kenny Omega

WWE/NJPW When Worlds Collide 2019

Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn vs. Austin Aries & Hideo Itami

No Mercy 2019

AJ Styles © vs. Sami Zayn

For the WWE World Championship at Summerslam 2020

The Undisputed Era vs. Team Smackdown

WarGames Match at WrestleWar 2020

Edge vs. Sami Zayn

Last Man Standing Match on Smackdown 2021

Daniel Bryan © vs. Sami Zayn vs. Edge

For the WWE World Championship at WrestleMania 37

The additional content would be a sit-down interview with Sami Zayn recorded a week or two after winning the World Championship for a second time at WrestleMania 37, an unreleased promo for Sami Zayn vs. Andrade "Cien" Almas at WrestleMania 36, and a little known appearence from Sami on Saturday Morning Slam

SENSHI Pro Wrestling Est. 2020

Started up an easy federation called SENSHI based out of Kanto. I have them run royal puroresu and this has been largely a "for fun" type setup so you'll see some things you can't do if you treated the game's OG universe straight-up.

Not taking it too seriously, I allow myself 1 "insane" thing per year via the in game editor.

2020: I signed Running Wolf to a 5yr contract (in 2021 I turned him heel and changed his name to Yama Okami aka Mountain Wolf)

2021: Picked up Matthew Keith and Greg Gauge, renamed Matthew's surname to Gauge and they're in a tag team named Twin Gauge.

2022: Purchased a bankrupt FCW to use for development and as a gaijin factory.

Anyways here's the best of 2020. Tag and World titles barely broke high 60s, SENSHI's Regional Title is the hot ticket so I shifted that to the main event until the World scene picked up. Omezo Shikitei and Masashi Urogataya are awesome in multi-man matches. They usually get the better match rating despite losing. Reijiro is a nice golden surprise and has been reeling off match after match. 2021 gets even better for Hiraki.

1. Reijiro Hiraki defeated Omezo Shikitei & Masashi Urogataya to retain the SENSHI Regional Championship in fatal 3-way (SENSHI Showdown, Nov 2020) - 80

2. Running Wolf defeated Reijiro Hiraki & Masashi Urogataya to win the SENSHI Regional Championship in fatal 3-way (SENSHI King of Kings, Dec 2020) - 79

3. Reijiro Hiraki defeated Running Wolf & Lion Genji & Omezo Shikitei to win the SENSHI Regional Championship in 4-way eliminator (SENSHI Delivering the Goods, Aug 2020) - 78

4. Azumamaro Shimizu defeated Reijiro Hiraki (SENSHI Meltdown 2020, Dec 2020) - 76

5. Reijiro Hiraki defeated Omezo Shikitei to retain the SENSHI Regional Championship (SENSHI Stained Class I, Oct 2020) - 76

6. Kyuchi Matsumoto defeated Running Wolf & Mitsunari Fugunaga & Jimmy Cox & Omezo Shikitei in a 5-way eliminator (SENSHI Battlevision pre-show #38, Dec 2020) - 75

7. Lion Genji defeated Masashi Urogataya & Shingen Miyazaki to retain the SENSHI Regional Championship (SENSHI Bash at the Big Egg, July 2020) - 74

8. Reijiro Hiraki defeated Lion Genji to retain the SENSHI Regional Championship (SENSHI Battle of the Gods I, Sept 2020) - 74

9. Reijiro Hiraki defeated Azumamaro Kita & Morimasa Kato to retain the SENSHI Regional Championship (SENSHI Terminal Velocity, Oct 2020) - 74

10. Koshiro Ino defeated Jimmy Cox & Kyuichi Matsumoto & Masashi Urogataya (SENSHI Battlevision #20, July 2020) - 73

Note: I thought I lost this save because I just got a new computer and before I did I accidently deleted it off of my old by mistake. The person who I got my new computer from was able to do a full system restore when he moved everything over from the old computer to the new one and he somehow brought this save back. I almost crapped my pants when I realized it because I really like how this save is going and now I don't have to start completely over from scratch like I originally thought I was going to have to do. 2020 was a great year (in TEW terms anyways) I'm just beginning January 2021.

West Coast Wrestling: Best Of The West '20

10. Mimic def Arthur Dexter Bradley in the semi-finals of the WCW Best Of The Best tournament, June 2020 - 59

Mimic takes on ADB in this high flying packed match in the semi finals of the first annual WCW Best Of The Best tournament.

9. Monday Next and Simon Flemmingway def Full Force and World's Most Wanted at WCW Warzone, July 2020 - 59

Monday Next and Simon Flemmingway form a makeshift team for the night to take on tag team champions Full Force (Edo Phoenix IV and Stealth Z) and World's Most Wanted (Gram Gorman and Shiva) in a non title match on WCW's weekly Warzone program.

8. Davis Wayne Newton © def Edo Phoenix IV, Omezo Shikitei, and Shiva for the WCW United States title at WCW Warzone, April 2020 - 60

Cocky as ever, DWN decides to issue an open challenge to anyone who hasn't had a title shot against him yet, specifically singling out the tag team division. Who, if anyone, will answer the call?

7. Quentin Queen def Omezo Shikitei, Shiva, and Stealth Z - at WCW Warzone, July 2020 - 61

The second bout of the night of four way single matches featuring members of the tag team division. Each team has proven their tag team worth but how do they stack up against each other without their partner to get their back?

6. The Silencer def Lance Lott at WCW Warzone, August 2020 - 61

This might be the greatest squash match you have ever seen. Three minutes of pure action.

5. The Next Generation def Full Force © for the WCW Tag Team titles at WCW Warzone, August 2020 - 64

The Next Generation (Quentin Queen and Ozzie Goldstein) finally get their shot at the WCW Tag Team titles after the champions Full Force disposes of their familiar foes NEO, but does Full Force have what it takes to turn away the new challengers?

4. The Next Generation and World's Most Wanted def Full Force and NEO at WCW Warzone, August 2020 - 65

The Next Generation and World's Most Wanted don't like each other. Full Force and NEO (Masashi Urogataya and Ozemo Shikitei) don't like each other. What's the worst that can happen when they're forced to team up?

3. The Silencer def Davis Wayne Newton at WCW Warzone, July 2020 - 66

In a rare champion vs champion match, Heavyweight champion The Silencer takes on United States title holder Davis Wayne Newton in a non title match after The Silencer broke up a seven minute monologue of DWN telling the crowd how awesome and beautiful he thinks he is and gives his own extremely rare promo telling DWN is he doesn't shut his mouth he will silence him for good.

2. Full Force © def NEO for the WCW Tag Team titles at WCW Mayhem, May 2020 - 67

NEO has been hounding the inaugural Tag Team champions Full Force but have been turned back twice already. Full Force was hesitant to grant them a third title shot but NEO came up with a proposal Full Force couldn't refuse; if NEO loses again, they will not be able to challenge for the Tag Team titles during Full Force's current reign. Wanting to seek other challengers (and to get these pesky flies off their backs) Full Force agrees.

1. Remmy Skye went to a Double DQ with Davis Wayne Newton at WCW Warzone, August 2020 - 72

In perhaps the best match thus far in WCW's young history, former champion Remmy Skye takes on DWN to decide the number one contendership to The Silencer's Heavyweight title. (James Diaz feels he should be number one and he attacks both, resulting in the double DQ)

BONUS CONTENT

*The Silencer gives his first - and so far only - promo against not a face but a fellow heel, Davis Wayne Newton*

Simon Flemmingway def Blackwell Bush at WCW Warzone, August 2020 - 58

Did you think we only had one great squash match for you? Well, oh, well, here's a second one for you!

The Silencer def Texas Hangman in a Cage Match at WCW Warzone, July 2020 - 58

The Silencer takes on Texas Hangman for the number one contendership to Remmy Skye's Heavyweight title. These two have two victories each on their belts, what better way to settle this feud then a good ol' cage match.

SENSHI Pro Wrestling Top 10 2021

SENSHI Pro Wrestling Top 10 matches of 2021

2021 belonged to Reijiro Hiraki. He's like early WCW Sting in that he's better chasing a title. Definitely my lead babyface.

Yama Okami (aka Running Wolf as a heel) took a little to grow into his World Champion roll. He's rough at puro style so it's taken about 100 days for him to develop into a good 1v1 low 80s match type wrestler. Thankfully he's got great opponents like Hiraki and Furusawa.

I realized have a habit of getting my best matches randomly, which makes it look like I don't book anything at all. Just seems like my 2hr A-show, Battlevision, can reel off the really good matches no matter what I do while my events are always rating slightly lesser than that and running at 2hr30min.

A lot of my major story line matches and title bouts range from 80 to 85, they just don't crack the top 15. Oh well, I changed the federation's product to debut for 2022 which will help make booking stories less of a thing. Right now we're Modern Puroresu so I get better ratings from angles that run abt 3 to 5 minutes.

10. Shingen Miyazaki & Mabushi Furusawa and Sons of Abandon defeated Senmatsu-Gun (Munemitsu Senmatsu, Ieyoshi Shimakage, Yama Okami, and Morimasa Kato) (SENSHI Battlevision #79) - 86

9. Lion Genji & Yama Okami defeated Hiroyasu Gakusha & Kiemon Yoshimatsu (SENSHI Delivering the Goods II, Aug 21) - 86

8. Senmatsu-Gun (Senmatsu, Shimakage, Genji, and Okami) defeated Z-Heat (Washi Heat & Zeshin Makiota) and Sons of Abandon (Koshiro Ino & JOJI) (SENSHI Battlevision #68, July 21) - 86

7. Reijiro Hiraki defeated Shingen Miyazaki, Sozen Ishinomori, Lion Genji, and Azumamaro Shimizu (SENSHI Battlevision #66) - 87

6. Twin Gauge defeated S & S Express (Munemitsu Senmatsu & Ieyoshi Shimakage) and Shingen Miyazaki & Mabushi Furusawa in Tag Eliminator 3-Way to retain SENSHI World Tag Team Championship (SENSHI Battlevision #81, Nov 21) - 87

5. Twin Gauge defeated DC Rayne and JOJI to retain SENSHI World Tag Team Championship (SENSHI Battlevision #81, Nov 21) - 90

4. Lion Genji defeated Hiroyasu Gakusha (SENSHI Battle of the Gods II, Sept 21) - 92

3. Reijiro Hiraki defeated Commander Kawagishi and Azumamaro Shimizu in Eliminator 3-Way to retain SENSHI Regional Championship (SENSHI Battlevision #77, Oct 21) - 93

2. Yama Okami defeated Reijiro Hiraki and Omezo Shikitei in Fatal 3-Way (SENSHI Battlevision #67, July 21) - 94

1. Twin Gauge (Matthew Keith & Greg Gauge) defeated Hiroyasu Gakusha and Reijiro Hiraki (SENSHI Battlevision #79, Oct 21) - 94

At the end of 2020 I stopped caring about the financial side of things and decided to just build a great federation while not getting too far out of control. Just one of many fun ways to play this game out. I have another save that's my 2nd shot with SAISHO where I follow financials tightly and it's kinda grueling.

Tag division woke up with the addition of Twin Gauge, who later grew into NA Elite with founding members Dusty Ducont and Edd Stone. Ducont was signed away by CWA, and that's fine. He ends up getting replaced by Matt Blackburn who was oddly let go by PGHW as he lost young lion status. So I turned Blackburn heel and his pop has started to rocket when he wins in 3v3's with Twin Gauge. Edd Stone sticks around as NA Elite's B-show guy, but has a long way to build pop.

SENSHI's repeated success with it's events and tv shows (A & B) have thrust it straight to Medium going into 2022. I had SENSHI capped at Medium from the beginning because I've failed in Big feds before and have a strategy in place for this one.

For 2022 I buyout and maintain FCW as a development company. This helps me dump a lot of undeveloped talent that were clogging up my roster. Good thing too as I had signed too many gaijins and luchadors.

Finally for 2022, I've changed from Modern Puroresu to "Yuiitsu no Puroresu" (used google translate for that one when I typed in "The Only"). It's a version of King's Road and I'm going to angle to get Motoyuki Miyaki over (like Misawa in 1992) by the time 2024 rolls around.
