But then i realized their product is basically the same i am using in another save so i discarded it. I'm looking for some mid/low tier promotion not based on workrate. I'm considering APW, the other option is still going with CZCW but changing their product. I will keep looking at other promotions before taking the final choise.</p>

The only warning I will give you is to alter the retirement ages in the editor so everybody doesn't fricken retire the second you boot the game. Learned that lesson.

This is gospel truth. Srsly. Go into the pregame editor and mass edit the entire database's retirement ages UP (like to 45 or something). This is especially true if you're playing one of the women's promotions (5SSW, QAW). Some people will scream "realism!" but in the game, when a human takes over a company, it's like strapping a rocket to it. The AI is.....less than intelligent when it comes to creatively booking a company on a path to growth. Under those circumstances, few workers are going to quit when they see the company doing very well. No one wants to be Ron Wayne or Pete Best or John Opel or George Bell.

Oh and the Mexican company you're referring to with the comic book style product is EMLL. EILL is the huge sports entertainment company in Mexico.

If you're looking for a smaller company with a non-workrate based product, try EWA. It gives you the opportunity to play a traditional (if dated) form of Sports Entertainment where you'll do much better numbers with your angles than with your matches (typically). You can also try CILL as they're a small company that really benefits from a human running them. It's more workrate but almost 50/50 with popularity.

I'll echo starting with a smaller company. The bigger companies have really colorful and attractive rosters at first but are really overwhelming when you don't really know who anyone is or how to book them. I still have yet to do a SWF or TCW save that lasted more than a few weeks. I just can't get into it, personally. Starting small allows you to really "know" your roster and know your stars while getting to know the rest of the universe when you start making your hiring moves as you grow.

And honestly, I would suggest not thinking too hard about it. I think this is what kills my motivation every time when trying a company I'm unfamiliar with. Just try jumping right in with a few different companies to see what strikes your fancy. Then if you want to, start from scratch while knowing exactly how you want to run the show.

Thanks to everyone for your responses, i was between CILL, EWA and EMLL but i decided to go with EWA. I followed your advice and changed the retirement age to 45. I'm really excited to start playing <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

Go on the editor and select the workers tab. Then search the option "Set retirement age to..."

Oh man, I misunderstood. I thought the original poster meant we could edit the average time any worker would retire. I'd love to increase it a little but I wouldn't want everyone retiring at the exact same age.

Thank you for the reply.

Which is 3 seconds after game start. So It's kinda whatever. Also, there are other factors other than retirement age that cause people to retire, body wear, some attributes, and rotting in the indies can eventually trigger retirement. They won't all retire at the exact same time. They just won't retire at the start of your game.</p>
