Forget what I just posted. I am not sure why I posted that because it was about something totally different.

 

Yeah I would always look to see who was visible to see if they were reading the thread and not commenting. Sometimes it meant nothing but I would always file it away and if I needed to look at someone who was visible and not posting, then yes I would use my night action against them.

 

Oh lol. I used it too and in the early days caught more than a few wolves with it.

I was never really into mafia though. I occasionally browsed those mafia threads but never even really dug into what it was about.

 

It's pretty much the message board version of the game "Town of Salem" if you're familiar with that.

 

There are a few different names for it, but it's not a message board thing per se. Just one of the ways to play it. Basically everyone gets a role, and the good guys have to try to out the bad guys before the bad guys take over.

I'm pleasantly surprised at how many longtimers are still here. I like the forum format much more than social media, and, while not as active as years past, this is probably the most active forum that I still visit.

It's weird but I sometimes look at old threads and I will see Prophet or Dragonmack (Just using them as examples as the used to be frequent posters) post and I will wonder what happend to them.

 

A lot of the old Mafia players seem to have stopped posting. I said this before but I wonder if it was just an age factor. A lot of them were in high school or college at the time and maybe they either no longer have the time or they just grew out of the site.

Michgcs would often give me a Day 1 joke vote and so there would be a high chance I could end up going just for that. What would be the point of playing if something like that happens?

 

That was the only thing that never happened to me, I was never mis-lynched as Town in the however many games I played. The only time I was ever lynched was as the SK or a member of the mob. With the plurality voting that could have very well happened for no other reason than a joke vote.

That said the first 2 games ran didn't use it, but the current one is using it and it is going well. I understand that you do not like it.

Really has nothing to do with the skill of the players. There are multiple games running all the time and to have someone accuse someone of being more involved in one game as opposed to another and to make it an argument about what is and isn't AI is just not in the spirit of the game. You should be judged not on things outside the game but on what is in the game thread.

I liked it, and earyagt summed up why pretty good, at least for me. Knowing that I like when people talk, it shouldn't surprise you.

I think I've been lynched a lot more when I'm town....

Most of the time the game is won at night by the scum, and that included most games I played here.

We are the only site I have played on that does not use plurality.

I wouldn't worry too much about that tbh.

 

I still vote Destiny first thing day 1 of each game, mostly as a long running joke. We've yet to eliminate Destiny over it, although the one time I really pushed him on it day 1 we should have lol.

 

Honestly, it's become much more of an issue for me than Destiny because now people watch to see if I actually push Destiny or drop it too soon. Also new people come in and think I'm trigger happy scum and use it later in the game to push me. It's honestly been more trouble than it's worth.
