The option to unretire people

Recommended Posts

I'm sure I'm not the first person to suggest you bring this feature back, but I can't see it in any of the recent posts so I figure I'll post it. Been really enjoying this iteration of the game but honestly not being able to unretire people has really been killing my longer saves.

In my opinion a sandbox game like this where we are all booking it our own way, having a wrestler announce their retirement for no real reason and me having nothing I can do about it doesn't make sense. Especially when we had it in previous games. With it only being in the editor, the people who want to play with what the game gives them remains happy as well.

Before anyone tries to say "it happens in real life", I know but that's nothing to do with my point. I play this game to tell stories and book stuff how I want them to go and tops stars retiring while consistently working and not being in any sort of decline kills that.

I've had plenty of top wrestlers retire as early as 35 with no time decline, injuries and a steady amount of work.

Would be greatly appreciated if you can add that option back. Thanks for all the hard work Adam :)

But even if it did, I still think there should be an option in the editor to do it in the editor regardless

Are you speaking about asking a worker to come out of retirement or to get someone who left the business to come back?

I get workers to come out of retirement in the default C-Verse all the time, so long as they aren't too banged up or have the Can Never Wrestle Again attribute.

Do you have your Silver Tongue on your User Character?

I've been able to get Jack Bruce, Bryan Vessey, and Buddy Garner out of retirement using Talk To Worker.

I'm talking about getting somebody to come out of retirement.

Also as I already said, I recognise there is an feature in the game that may work but I am focused on the fact that there used to be an option in the editor to manually bring somebody out of retirement. This thread is about me suggesting that option returns.

Don’t you just go into the editor and change them from ‘retired in ring’ to ‘active wrestler’ or something along those lines?

Or has that been removed

What company are you working for when asking him to come out of retirement? I was doing this as the Head Booker for SWF who were Large size at the time.

Yeah that's what has been removed, there is no longer a 'status' option in the in-game editor like there was in previous iterations

Interesting. Is there any drawback currently to adding the 'Wrestler' role and changing their style from 'Never Wrestles' to one of the other styles?

I'm my own company, Medium about to go large (74 mainland US,38-58 Canada, 40 India, 30s elsewhere). Currently #3 in the world.

My silver tongue is only a 2, which is likely part of the issue. I', just wondering if he gets skills back.

He does not. He is still in terminal time decline.
