The Grapplers [Threepwood & McManus] versus The Ring Generals

The show started with two new tag teams to Mid Atlantic Wrestling, albeit just about everything is new to Mid Atlantic Wrestling. Both teams were making their debuts here. On one side, we had Riley McManus from Georgia and Conner Threepwood from Indiana. The two youngsters are both technically minded babyfaces that were up against the technical-minded heel team from Chicago. This was a well-paced opening contest. Even though they are only twenty years old and in their rookie year, it is clear the Ring Generals have a bright future. This match followed the standard tag team match formula. Conner and Riley came out of the gate hot with some good offense -- but they didn’t do anything too fancy. The Ring Generals cut them off and isolated Riley. The young man nicknamed the Georgia Bulldog got to sell as the Generals wore him down with holds and double team moves with each tag in and out. McManus made the hot tag to Threepwood and Threepwood made a good comeback, but ultimately the Generals cut him off and hit their Wheelbarrow Bomb on him to secure the win in a solid opening contest.

In a bout that had decent wrestling but little heat, The Ring Generals defeated Conner Threepwood and Riley McManus in 9:49 when Dean Waldorf pinned Conner Threepwood with a Wheelbarrow Bomb.

The legendary wrestler known the world over, Rip Chord came walking out. The former seven-time World’s Champion climbed into the ring. The crowd was excited to see the promoter of Mid Atlantic Wrestling. He took a minute to soak in the adulation of the crowd before getting into business.

His business tonight was to announce that in January, Mid Atlantic Wrestling will be presenting the first ever Rip Chord Invitational. The one-night tournament will have eight entrants. This tournament is even more special since Mid Atlantic Wrestling is a founding member of the North American Wrestling Coalition. In January, two representatives from each of the NAWC companies will come to Stanley Hall to compete for the trophy AND to be the first ever NAWC North American Champion.

That’s not all, though. Tonight, Mid Atlantic Wrestling will present two matches that will determine who will represent them next month. In the main event, the winner between Mean Jean Cattley and Mainstream Hernandez will night only be Mid Atlantic Champion, but will be entered in the tournament. The match up between Erik Strong and Al Coleman is also for a spot in the tournament, so tonight we will know the first two entrants in the first ever Rip Chord Invitational Tournament.

Antonio Del Vecchio versus “Straight A” Ricky Douglas

Antonio Del Vecchio versus Ricky Douglas was up next. Since the first MAW show in October of 2005, Antonio has been at odds with the Mean Jean Cattley led group, The Firm. Ricky is one of the four members of the group and was instrumental in keeping Antonio from winning the MAW Championship earlier in the month. Del Vecchio is the protege of Rip Chord and utilizes Rip’s patented DDT as his signature move. The match was built around Del Vecchio trying to go for the DDT but the straightedge Ricky Douglas trying to avoid it. Both men are clearly green, but it’s also clear that Antonio Del Vecchio is being positioned as the lead babyface for the company. He locked in a Sleeper Hold to get the submission victory -- something that caught the crowd off guard because they were expecting a DDT.

In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but sub-par wrestling, Antonio Del Vecchio defeated Ricky Douglas in 12:10 by submission.

The Remus Twins versus The Gods of Thunder w/ Persephone

The Remus Twins were making their debut here. The twin brothers came in with a fair amount of dirt-sheet hype, but they were fed here to the Gods of Thunder. The big men walked through the Remus Twins. It was all high impact, powerful offense. The Gods of Thunder aren’t very good yet, but they look like stars and with Peresphone at ringside, the presentation of them screams championship duo. The Twins mostly just sold. None of their offense did any real damage on either of the Gods of Thunder, and ultimately Remmington Remus ate a Thunderclash (double powerbomb) from the Gods of Thunder and Atlas made the pin to get the big win and continue the Gods of Thunder’s undefeated streak.

In an extremely short match, The Gods Of Thunder defeated The Remus Twins in 4:44 when Atlas pinned Remmington Remus with a Thunderclash.

Erik Strong versus Al Coleman

Much like Antonio, Erik Strong (along with his tag partner Mainstream Hernandez), has been involved in a program with The Firm since the beginning of MAW. The young high flyer has quickly become a fan favorite in the two months that MAW has been a thing whereas Mr. Submission is a classic wrestling heel. He controls his matches by wrestling and cheating -- he just needs to get his stamina up because he was clearly sucking wind quickly into this match. Strong looked like a star throughout the match. The young man was the only real high flyer on the show -- something that helped him stand out. The match formula was simple here too. Coleman kept wrestling Strong to the mat and trying to lock in a variety of holds, but Strong kept finding ways out of his grasp and to the ropes for a high risk move. Strong was, essentially, swinging for the fences with all of his offense while Coleman was trying to grind out a victory. Strong was able to hit his Strong Sault, a picture perfect moonsault, to gain the victory. Strong sold the impact of his own move like it hurt him doing it, something that helped the crowd really buy into it as a big-time move.

In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but sub-par wrestling, Erik Strong defeated Al Coleman in 10:43 by pinfall with a Strong Sault.

The Rock City Stars w/ Karen Killer versus Natural Storm ©

The semi-final contest of the night was the first attempted title defence of the Natural Storm. Natural Storm won the Tag Titles at a show at the beginning of December by defeating The A*Alliance from The Firm, and the Rock City Stars were looking to make their reign short. The Rock City Stars have a great presentation, especially with Karen Killer. It helps that Ryan Turner has legit musical talent and shreds the guitar as part of their entrance. Natural Storm, while lacking the entrance, look like stars. They have matching gear. They’re in good shape with good size and look like a tag team that could be the premier tag team in the world sooner rather than later. This match had a longer-than-usual shine to really establish the skills of Natural Storm. Eddie Howard had a great delayed Military Press where he held Ryan Turner high in the air and the crowd counted down. A little cheating from Karen Killer gave the Stars control of the match and they put the heat on D.C. Rayne. Rayne can really sell and was really connecting with the crowd, really getting them into his sell-job before he made the tag to Eddie Howard. It’s clear that this is going to be their formula. D.C. takes the heat and Eddie makes the save, and it looks like it’s going to work for them. Eddie had great fire on his comeback, even if the offense of it was really simple. It was lariats and snap suplexes and shoulder tackles and body slams. The tag back to D.C. Rayne set him up to hit his Storm Damage, a high velocity swinging neckbreaker, to get the pin on Stan Manna and get the victory in their first title defence.

In a decent match, Natural Storm defeated The Rock City Stars in 13:52 when D.C. Rayne pinned Stan 'The Man' Manna with a Storm Damage. Natural Storm make defence number one of the Mid Atlantic Tag Team titles.

Mainstream Hernandez versus “Mean” Jean Cattley ©

The main event of the night had plenty of time. The veteran of the MAW roster, Jean Cattley, was putting his Mid Atlantic Championship on the line against Mainstream Hernandez. Cattley won his championship earlier in the month by defeating Antonio Del Vecchio (with help from The Firm). Mainstream, along with his partner Erik Strong, had saved Antonio from a beat down and now Mainstream had the title opportunity. It was clear throughout the match that Mainstream has a whole bundle of potential. He has a great look. He’s smooth in the ring. He’s got to be destined for big things whereas Mean Jean was probably born two decades too late because he would have been a great territory-era heel. Everything Jean did was believable. He worked snug, but mostly worked holds. He focused on Mainstream’s lower back, trying to soften him up for the Mood Swing. The crowd was really into this. Mainstream played the underdog really well and used a variety of roll ups for near falls and almost won on several of them. He also hit a big enzugari that rocked Jean and a Superkick that dropped him for a big near fall. The crowd thought they were going to see a title change there, but Mean Jean, ever the veteran, was able to get his foot on the bottom rope to break the pin.

Mainstream hit the ropes and was flying back for some sort of big running offense, but Mean Jean caught him with the swinging sidewalk slam that he calls the Mood Swing (essentially a modified Black Hole/Boss Man Slam so that he ends hooking the leg) and that was all she wrote and Mean Jean Cattley had successfully defended his Mid Atlantic Championship.

In a bout that had good heat and decent wrestling, Mean Jean Cattley defeated Mainstream Hernandez in 24:28 by pinfall with a Mood Swing. Mean Jean Cattley makes defence number one of the Mid Atlantic Championship title.

The first month of shows are in, everybody! You've gotten to see each roster and the debut show from each of us and the Coalition has officially been launched.

  1. Which company are you enjoying most/which show did you most enjoy?
  2. Who are you hoping to see pushed?
  3. Is there someone you'd like to see brought into the Coalition?
  4. Who do you think will be the first NAWC North American Champion?

Let us know! Feedback is always nice and especially on this collaborative project. It also helps build a little competition.

Man, first in NYCW prediction to last in MAW (both with the same percentage).

Which company are you enjoying most/which show did you most enjoy?

It's hard to pick after just one show. Most shows are obviously still trying to find their feet at this stage. However my pick in going to be CZCW as their main event sticks out as the most exciting match so far.

Who are you hoping to see pushed?

I'm fully onboard with the crew calling for The Hillbillies to be pushed, but Riley McManus & Snap Dragon are two more I currently hope do well.

Is there someone you'd like to see brought into the Coalition?

I'm going to skip this one because if you can't tell by the 50% prediction, I'm kind of just guessing here

Who do you think will be the first NAWC North American Champion?

Joey Minnesota - He's up there, you mentioned him in your NYCW write-up and I get the feeling your company champs wouldn't be the ones taking the title.

Which company are you enjoying most/which show did you most enjoy?

That's a tough one, I enjoyed all the shows but the first few are just going to be setting the scene and getting a feel as a viewer, I will have a better opinion once you all hit your stride and the differences in styles become more apparent.

Who are you hoping to see pushed?

Loads of people lol

Remmy skye, Valiant, Rock city stars, Ring generals and many more, such an interesting time period

Is there someone you'd like to see brought into the Coalition?

Would need to give it more thought and remind myself who is even an option at this time

Who do you think will be the first NAWC North American Champion?

I agree Joey Minnesota seems a good shout based on the first shows and the main event ratings but I suspect opinions will change as we move through the next set of shows.

Great stuff from you all and really enjoying it as a reader

Quite the ambitious project, multiplayer diaries are always a challenge. Active posters and established writers, looks like you fone folks will keep it up and the 05 database is a nice touch. I'm generally anti-USPW, but loving everything about The Force, from his portrait to the promos and matches.

JEREMIAH MOOSE VS. JACOB JETT

Jacob Jett is a Canadian import, regularly competing for Canadian Charisma Championship Combat alongside Darryl Devine (who also wrestles for United States Pro Wrestling). Jeremiah Moose has been a regular in CZCW for years, dating back to when he competed as Jeremiah Bullfrog at the time he turned eighteen; he now plays an arrogant show stealer who often gets his comeuppance before the end of the match. Moose showcases a few flashy spots, and Jett feigns applause before showing him up with some even faster and flashier spots. The ensuing match is fast-paced, and the relatively unknown Jett wows the crowd with his aerial maneuvers, Cliff Anderson and Farrah Hesketh putting over “that’s why they call him Amazing” on the DVD commentary. Jett caps off an impressive CZCW debut with a win after hitting Moose with his dazzling Jett Take Off finisher.

WINNER: JACOB JETT (11:36)

RATING: 28

<HR>

Prince Adam
is out after the opener, crown affixed to his head as he stands smugly in the ring. He cuts a quick promo about the founding of The Coalition, claiming to be a conqueror from foreign lands and vowing to conquer North America. He demands to know why he isn’t representing CZCW in the tournament, and swears that, before he is through, all in The Coalition will bend the knee to him.

MO9FLaV.jpgEMGglT6.jpg

PRINCE ADAM VS. SKY KING

Sky King is another Canadian talent who is actually making his final American indie appearance in this match before joining North of the Border pro Wrestling full-time. He looks to start off strong, diving onto the big man and knocking him off his feet from the get-go but the Canadian David proves no match for the American Goliath as Prince Adam begins his conquest with another CZCW victory courtesy of The Rack.

WINNER: PRINCE ADAM (6:30)

RATING: 32

THE NIGHTMARES VS. THE RING GENERALS

The Ring Generals are a young tag team making a name for themselves all across the country while The Nightmares, Insane Machine and Primal Rage, have been CZCW staples for some time. In the early going, the crowd is firmly behind the heel mainstays but it isn’t long before the Generals start to win them over with the impressive match. Rumors have been swirling that this may be Insane Machine’s last appearance with CZCW, and soon enough his very giving performance against the new team makes it apparent that this could be true. The finish of the match sees Primal Rage taken out by being shoved into the steel ringpost on the outside, rendering him unable to rescue his partner when The Ring Generals finish him off with a Wheelbarrow Bomb to pick up a huge win in their first CZCW appearance.

WINNER: THE RING GENERALS (12:41)

RATING: 36

<HR>

For the first time during the show, some entrance music hits the meager PA system in The Simmons Center. After allowing the anticipation to build for a beat, Mexican sensation and international star
Champagne Lover
makes his way out from the back. He cuts a quick promo, announcing his intention to win the North American Wrestling Coalition’s North American Championship and declaring CZCW his homebase for American activities. After arrogantly putting himself for several minutes, he asks for an opponent to be sent out to the ring.

“Let me earn my paycheck and get out of this wretched excuse for an arena,” he sneers to a chorus of boos from the fans. “I have champagne waiting in the back, now send out the unworthy man lucky enough to share the ring… with Champagne Lover.”

After a brief moment for the crowd to stir, the cheers spread through the arena as
, sounds out through the arena’s speaker system, signalling the arrival of fan favorite
Fox Mask
!

CHAMPAGNE LOVER VS. FOX MASK

The crowd is absolutely buzzing, savvy fans realizing they’re being treated to a first time encounter between two internet favorites. The pair come to a stalemate several times during the impressively athletic opening exchange before Champagne Lover takes the early advantage with a thumb to the eye. The crowd boos this underhanded tactic, but it doesn’t matter to Champagne Lover as he works over Fox Mask for several minutes. It isn’t until he whips Fox Mask into the ropes after several minutes of control that the canid masked man springboards off of them with a back elbow to briefly take control. It proves only to be an extended hope spot, however, with Champagne Lover again going underhanded to take control. The pair work at full speed for a good fifteen minutes before the closing moments begin to unfold. Fox Mask looks to for the win, but Champagne Lover counters the Fox Flip Off DDT in stunning fashion to hit his own Champagne Breakfast finisher for the win. His post-match celebration involves having a beautiful woman in a dress bring him out champagne on ice, and he pops the cork into the crowd before dousing himself in bubbly.

WINNER: CHAMPAGNE LOVER (17:30)

CZCW TAG TEAM TITLE LADDER MATCH

THE FLY BOYS © VS. THE GILBERT BROTHERS

This is a return match from December with the added ladder stipulation. The Fly Boys picked up their first CZCW championship gold, and now look to make their first defense in wild fashion with this ladder match. But ladders aren’t the only plunder we see during the bout as The Gilbert Brothers get their hockey sticks involved early on, taking out Jimmy P and letting them double team Donnie J for a bit. We see several near-wins from both teams and lots of brawling atop the ladders, but this isn’t the same car crash affair as last month’s Ladder War between Remmy Skye and Plague. This is more grounded, even with the high spots mixed in by The Fly Boys, including a dazzling legdrop from the top a ladder on the outside of the ring to the inside by Jimmy P at one point. The finish sees The Fly Boys hit their individual finishers on a Gilbert Brother each and climb the ladder together to retrieve their belts.

WINNER, AND STILL CHAMPIONS: THE FLY BOYS (13:33)

RIP CHORD INVITATIONAL QUALIFYING MATCH

FLYING JIMMY FOXX VS. REMMY SKYE

After months of speculation, the legendary
Rip Chord
made the announcement just this past weekend that Mid Atlantic Wrestling’s January show would be a tournament to crown the first-ever North American Wrestling Coalition North American Champion-- CZCW would have two representatives, as would each other member of The Coalition (USPW, NYCW, and MAW). As Cliff Anderson would tell people on DVD commentary, Coastal Zone Combat Wrestling is all about earning every opportunity, which means no one in CZCW is allowed to enter the tournament by virtue of being a champion, recent win-loss records, or anything else. Four of the biggest stars CZCW has to offer are going to do battle for the right to represent the Coastal Zone, and the first of those two singles matches happens right now. Flying Jimmy Foxx offers a handshake to start, but pulls back when Remmy Skye attempts to go for it, smoothing out his hair and then flipping Skye off. He comes to regret that, however, as Skye takes control for the opening sequence. A high risk maneuver minutes later backfires for Skye, allowing Foxx to take control for a bit. Fans look on in awe as Remmy Skye flops around the ring to sell for Foxx’s offense; even when he’s getting his ass kicked, he looks damn good in the process. Skye proves able to outlast the pain, however, eventually turning the tides and picking up the win, and a spot in the Rip Chord Invitational, with his jaw dropping Skye Diver finisher.

WINNER, ADVANCING TO THE RIP CHORD INVITATIONAL: REMMY SKYE (15:33)

RIP CHORD INVITATIONAL QUALIFYING MATCH

SNAP DRAGON © VS. PLAGUE ©

When Anderson said no one was guaranteed entry to the tournament by virtue of being champion, he meant it. This match sees the Coastal Zone Champion and Xtreme Champion clash, two of the hottest talents CZCW has ever seen in Snap Dragon and Plague. The crowd is heavily into the match from the start, and the talents are working in high gear right out of the gate. The match is full of high risk moves and dazzling aerial displays from both men, each showing how hungry they are to represent CZCW in the Rip Chord Invitational and become the first North American Champion. Plague gets a huge counter on a shooting star press at one point, getting his knees up and taking the upperhand from the Coastal Zone Champion. Plague looks to have the match won as he goes up for the New Jersey Turnpike, but it is Snap Dragon who counters this time and, after a few short exchanges, he nails Plague with the Dragon’s Breath! He takes too long to make the cover, however, and Plague kicks out.

Both men are still pushing hard as we near the finish of the match, which sees a huge top rope Spanish Fly from Plague that seems to take out both men as they lie in the center of the ring. The referee begins the double countout, getting to 7 before Snap Dragon makes his way to his feet and Plague makes it up just before 10. The masked men glare at each other for a moment, and Plague beats his chest to tell Snap Dragon to bring it on. And bring it on he does, firing off a thrust kick and following it up with a second Dragon’s Breath! That’s enough for the win.

FROM THE HOME OF SAM STRONG

Sam Strong laughed incredulously at the revelation from Jim Force. It wasn’t that he thought Jim was necessarily ribbing him but more that it was just such an unusual turn of events.

“I’m not messing around Sam. I’m completely serious”

“I believe you, kid, I really do, I just didn’t expect it. I’ve been in charge of the company for less than a week and my champion is leaving. It just doesn’t exactly draw the best picture of us”

Jim, under the disguise of his face-painted character ‘The Force’ was a four-time company champion and the current holder of the biggest prize in the company. He had recently accepted an offer to go and ply his trade in the Great White North under the tutelage of George DeColt and Canadian Golden Combat. CGC presented a Sports Entertainment based product which played right into Jim’s strengths given his previous work in the Supreme Wrestling Federation.

Sam exited his office in his home and walked through the halls towards the kitchen where he grabbed a bottle of water from the refrigerator with one hand as he had the phone pressed to his ear in his other. He continued to stroll through the house stopping at the patio that looked out on his swimming pool in the backyard.

“Well you’ve got the fit for the product that George presents and you’ve got a compelling enough character to present the Canadian audience but you’re starting again fresh Jim. Sure, you’ve had a couple of title runs under Eisen but you weren’t being broadcast into Canada at that time. You’re, in my opinion, a 100% babyface who’s going to a territory where people aren’t likely to know you and you’re going to try and get over as a premiere babyface with a fanbase that has had the DeColts at the top of the card, as babyfaces, for the past 9 years. You’re young enough for the challenge but do you really think you’re gonna come out on top against the DeColt kids when George is running the show? Not only running the show but struggling to turn a profit. Rumour has it that they’re struggling to keep the finances in the black.”

He paused a few moments to let that recent tirade of information and opinion marinate in the ears of Jim Force. Sam took a breath and went for the last jab.

“I’m not trying to talk you out of it. You’re a grown boy who can make your own decisions. But we’re on the cusp of creating something really interesting and different here in the next few weeks that you can be a part of. I just want to make sure that you’re sure you’re doing the right thing.”

The pause that filled the airwaves between the two seemed to go on for what felt like minutes but was really only a few seconds.

“I’m sure” replied Jim.

“Well, fair enough,” said Sam. “We’ll finish you up at Made In America, you’ll drop the belt to Doom and you’ll be on your way. Nothing further to say about it. We’ll see you next week."

Sam hung up the phone before even offering Jim the chance to say anything in response. He wasn’t intending to be callous but he was a businessman and wasn’t willing to delay on continuously moving forward. Jim would get the opportunity to say whatever he wanted to say at the next show. Sam placed the phone on the edge of the pool and stripped off before slowly lowering himself in to cool off on what was a surprisingly hot December day. He was just about to do a length of the pool when a ‘ding’ sound played out from his cell. He sighed, turned to the phone and read the message. It was from Danny Jillefski.

“We need to talk…”

Enjoying all the shows and write ups so far, sounds like some key figures are being poached early on so be interesting to see how that impacts the alliance as the available pool narrows.

The bearded brute was left reeling very quickly as Adam looked destined to put this one to bed swiftly. The Prince pandered to his audience and got a bit boastful which was enough for T-Rex to wrap his enormous arms around Adam and squeeze with almost inhuman strength. The Super Heavyweight clamped on and didn't let go for almost two minutes as the life was slowly drained from the Prince. There was no official submission from the babyface powerhouse but his unconscious form left the referee no option but to call and end to this one.</span></span></p></div><p></p><p></p><p><span style="font-family:'Trebuchet MS';"><span style="font-size:12px;"> </span></span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Trebuchet MS';"><span style="font-size:12px;"> </span></span><span style="font-family:'Trebuchet MS';"><span style="font-size:12px;"><strong>Winner:</strong></span></span><span style="font-family:'Trebuchet MS';"><span style="font-size:12px;"> 'The Jurassic Power' T-Rex</span></span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Trebuchet MS';"><span style="font-size:12px;"> </span></span><span style="font-family:'Trebuchet MS';"><span style="font-size:12px;"><strong>Rating:</strong></span></span><span style="font-family:'Trebuchet MS';"><span style="font-size:12px;"> 28</span></span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Trebuchet MS';"><span style="font-size:12px;"> </span></span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Trebuchet MS';"><span style="font-size:12px;"> <div style="color:rgb(0, 0, 0);font-family:Roboto;font-size:14px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;border-top:6px solid rgb(0,0,0);"></div></span></span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Trebuchet MS';"><span style="font-size:12px;"> </span></span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Trebuchet MS';"><span style="font-size:12px;"> </span></span><img alt="PQXJord.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/PQXJord.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="5j5K7s5.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/5j5K7s5.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="GBBOMhD.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/GBBOMhD.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><span style="font-family:'Trebuchet MS';"><span style="font-size:12px;"> </span></span><span style="font-family:'Trebuchet MS';"><span style="font-size:12px;"><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">(Pre- Match Segment)</span></strong></span></span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Trebuchet MS';"><span style="font-size:12px;"> </span></span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Trebuchet MS';"><span style="font-size:12px;"> </span></span></p><div style="text-align:left;"><p><span style="font-family:'Trebuchet MS';"><span style="font-size:12px;"><em>The charismatic and captivating </em></span></span><span style="font-family:'Trebuchet MS';"><span style="font-size:12px;"><em><strong>Emma Chase</strong></em></span></span><span style="font-family:'Trebuchet MS';"><span style="font-size:12px;"><em> walks the ramp with </em></span></span><span style="font-family:'Trebuchet MS';"><span style="font-size:12px;"><em><strong>Tom. The two traded slugging, brawling fists in what was a short but wild brawl of a match-up. Redwood resorted to eye-pokes and the scraping of backs to gain an advantage over Hawk. The giant looked set to secure his place as the second USPW representative in the RCI but Chase sensed Hawk was in danger and so put herself in danger also. After Redwood planted Hawk with a big boot that sent him over the apron she rose to the apron on the other side of the ring and got his attention Redwood chuckled and shook his head before surprising Chase with some agility and grabbing a fistful of her hair and not letting go. Chase slapped and screamed but to no effect. Redwood, feeling she'd been terrified enough, let go and turned around only to be met with Hawk vaulting himself over the rope in a front-flip fashion and flooring the big man with a Hawkeye Hammer that sounded like two bags of meat slapping together.
