Texas Heavyweight Title

Recommended Posts

alright, thank you!

but, the title lineage only goes to 1983, i guess?

Yeah. I just had to construct it from there.

What I did with one save was to finish out the lineage to the end of the last incarnation of World Class (called it the WCWA Texas Heavyweight Championship), then I started a new title with Rod Price winning it in NWA Southwest in 1998 (that's what I call the NWA Texas Heavyweight Championship).

Since the original World Class title is the first (so far as history seems to record) "Texas Heavyweight Championship", which was rebranded with the NWA designation with the affiliation with World Class. One could make the case that they are separate titles, so I figured it was worthwhile.

alright ... then tell me about it :)

it will last a few days until i can check it out.

Looks like a solid update, and I think he even says in the post that it was a massive pain to put in, which I can thoroughly understand. :D But, it is pretty cool overall. Of course, you'd have to import a ton of guys to get the history to show fully, including guys who are extremely tough to find like Bobby Managoff and Miguel Guzman. But, it is cool to look through the history of the title and see names like Lou Thesz and Buddy Rogers alongside the Von Erichs, Gino Hernandez, etc.
