Jaysin
This might need moved to suggestions, but I think it's a bug. I don't think tag team of the year awards should go to non tag teams. If Moxley and Cody have two to three good tag matches but no actual team is formed, they shouldn't be in contention for team of the year. Both major real world awards PWI and the Observer have never awarded random main eventers the team of the year award.
Adam Ryland
The award goes to whichever pairing have the highest ratings and meet the criteria for the minimum number of matches; whether they're set as a 'proper' team or not isn't taken into account. I have no current plans to change that as the winning team are getting the award fair and square and accurately reflects the game world, which is the point of the awards. But the minimum number of matches is only 5, which means that most years it is indeed singles wrestlers who win the award. A higher minimum (10, for example) would ensure the award goes to a real team or two singles who team somewhat regularly. 5 is way too low as almost any thrown together main eventers can qualify. That makes no sense in the slightest. Singles wrestlers should NOT be winning tag team of the year awards in any scenario. Like I said in my original post, in the real world, no singles wrestlers ever receive any of the predominant tag team awards.
Vinsmoker
It doesn't work with touring shows being factored in. Especially stable heavy companies. Because there singles wrestlers will team up during the tours, but not on the actual events

Jaysin
Can this please be reevaluated?
Knedi
I think the easy solution for this, which has been previously mentioned, is making the minimum number of matches a higher amount. 10-20 range rather than 5. Especially when taking tours and house shows in consideration, in actuality, theres guys on Raw who team up 5+ times a year just by random booking of tags and six mans.
