After placing the above in random.org with 11 entries for 2004, 10 for 2013 and 9 for CV... 2004 Ruthless Aggression came out as the winner and will therefore be the mod for Season 2. (Oh well, theres always next season for my pick, War Of The Immortals;))

 

I will, later today start to send out promotion profiles to everyones GDS Inboxes... After that, we will switch to the Discord Chat, where myself or season 1 players can help out the new players with any questions they have.

 

As a side note, given the high level of votes for C-Verse, Diablo X and Thunderverse... if i can find the time later this year, i will run a season 3 with only those mods up for play

The National Enquirer is reporting that famed heiress, Venice Hyatt, is thinking of starting her own wrestling promotion. She believes there is still an audience for the sex and violence of ECW and XPW. The company is rumored to be called American Hardcore Wrestling (AHW) and will be based out of Asbury Park NJ. It will be interesting to see how this roster turns out but with her money and sex appeal she might actually have a chance to pull this off.

I withdraw, what is the point when every single time I try and get anyone I get counter bidded and it resets the 24 hours to wait, I'm not waiting POTENTIALLY WEEKS AND MONTHS TO WIN ONE PERSON, when some people counter bid me solely for wanting someone so I can play the game, that isn't fun and is an absolute waste of my own time and efforts

Havving played season 1, it's very intense in the early going when people are all trying to get their top stars purely due to the high demand of those workers. Once the rosters start to fill out a little the competition becomes far less intense. The draft does take a long time though, it's inevitable by the nature of the set up. If you've got the patience it's a lot of fun but if you were hoping to get things done in a week or two then you may have underestimated it. One strategy employed successfully to speed things up last time was to bid high to begin with.... meant a lot of people would leave a worker alone, with the extra aggressive bidding helping to net the people you want potentiall for less as people don't like to drop out of bids they've been in for a while, but will drop out early for a bid they're not too sure on.

There's intensity and then there is hostility, when you bid and both want the same guy whilst also having a bid on someone that no one else had any interest in (bidding on them immediately as they did come up and no one bidding for 22 hours at all) to then have them bid on them solely as you were winning on them which means you not only lose out and have to bid more but reset the 24 hour clock back to the full time, that is hostily bidding to deliberately make sure that person doesn't get anyone solely for bidding on the same guy as another person.

 

That is like going to the restaurant at the same time as someone else and taking the last table even if you hate the restaurant solely to stop the person who wanted to eat there be there, it's depriving someone deliberately and that is hostile tactics which if the rules allow then fine but to me that just means it could be like i said on the original post weeks or months before I even make a single signing, by then all the talent of worth are gone and I'm signing literal nobodies with no chance of having the company grow or do well or doing anything other than finish last.

 

If thats the case then why take part and waste my time? months of waiting to finish last? months of waiting to guarantee you look like a joke to every single person in the game and on the Discord? not worth it, I get it being a game where we are meant to have fun and such but if you can just hostile bet someone out every time and make sure they end up with nobodies that no one wants only isn't fun at all, not even slightly

Some people don't have the time to do bidding outside a 2 hour window every day. It can be frustrating, but that's show biz

Jaded won season 1 of DMC and I don't hink they had a wrestler signed in the first two weeks due to an initially conservative strategy that he tweaked later, and he stomped us all massively. If you don't have the patience to play the long game and accept that you're going to lose a LOT of people early on.... maybe the game isn't for you and you are correct to surrender early.

 

Ultimately, it's a game. No one looks bad for playing and doing better or worse than others. You win by communicating with people, having a plan and tweaking that plan as you go. My roster ended up looking nothing like I thought it would originally, but I was proud of my season 1 efforts.

I'm sorry you feel it wasnt for you. I think you may have missed the idea of the draft being a "challenge" and not a "normal draft", that player interaction and competeing with eachother to out bid or even make someone over bid is the challenge.

I think you might have mistook hostility for competition. There is no bad atmosphere between players, as anyone can see, its all on a public chat. Its probably why most of season 1 players came back.

 

 

 

If the game wasnt for you, i completely understand, i try my best to put across at the beginning that its not a normal draft. If you wanted to drop out that is completely your choice and completely understandable.

 

 

Im sure i could spend hours defending this and that but theres no need. It wasnt for you but others enjoy it. Its just a game at the end of the day . It clearly wasnt what you expected, so you're right to cut and run

In my opinion Draftmaster is not for everybody because it requires commitment and patience. No reason to hate though if you dont like it. Just move on. For me its an awesome challenge and im eager to participate as soon as my health issues are resolved.

I feel like the only hostility here is from your posts. You don't enjoy it, that's fine, there was no need to rant about people outbidding you late because they're hostile, they're outbidding you because the bids get stupidly high and sometimes you don't know whether you're willing to spend that much until the last minute.

If that person starts to be higher than how I value them or too much trouble to try to get I look at someone else. That would be why I bid late not sure if I bid on anyone you did because again I pay attention to my own strategy not who else is doing what. The draft can be stressful and time consuming. I've lost talent because I couldn't get on in a 24 hour period. It sucks but in the end it is a blast and the chat is fun. people are competitive but not malicious. I guarantee no one would make fun of you for who you got, especially if you didn't go bankrupt. Hell I managed to get Wade Chism and he is the butt of so many jokes in the chat but again he was someone I wanted and as the Rock says it doesn't matter what they think. Also the jokes are about the wrestler not me for drafting him

Hey Wade Chism is our God, I will not stand for any slander against him! Yes I agree with this in that I cross out of people I don't want straight away, then find people to meet slots on my roster, once the go over my limit it's on to the next one
