The commentators open the show with the usual recap of the overarching storylines currently intertwined with the upcoming PPV in mind. They also recap the events of the last episode of Thunder, where Johnny Ace screwed his former team members out of contracts, something they feel RVD will want to address. They also discuss the final matches of the TV Title Tournament first round, and have been informed that Eric Bischoff will be addressing what happened during last weeks main event.

IN RING

T0e47QU.png

Rick Steiner is the first wrestler out, he is not dressed in his wrestling attire, and he is not accompanied by Animal or Midajah. He walks out alone to the ring and the boo’s of the crowd. He tells them what a relief it was to no longer be burdened with a young brother that he had to look out for in this industry, about how he had spent his career holding himself back so that Scott could succeed. That was no longer the case, but it was a hard habit to break. He forced himself to stop Scott during his attack on Animal for his own good, but he kept having to remind himself that it was no longer his responsibility. There was only one solution, he was going to have to fight him again, so he is out here to accept Scott’s challenge for a match at the Great American Bash, with two conditions. One - it is in a cage. Two - the loser never wrestled for WCW again. There isn’t the room for both of them here.

Hugh Morrus vs. Jeff Jarrett w/ Mark Jindrak

Match Highlights:

~ A match up made from their altercation last week, Morrus quickly went to business with Jarrett, tossing him around the ring and brutalising him with punches and chops.

~ Jarrett looked to lock in a Figure Four Leg Lock early, but Morrus powered through it and picked Jarrett up for a big Powerbomb.

~ Morrus went for a No Laughing Matter, but Jarrett was on him, and met him at the top rope to hit a Superplex.

~ Jindrak tried to get Jarrett a guitar for an Acoustic Equaliser, but Morrus caught it and smashed it over his own head before tossing the remnants of it back at a thoroughly bewildered Jarrett.

Match Finish:

Jeff Jarrett defeated Hugh Morrus after choking him against the ropes for a second too long the referee intervened, and whilst his back was turned Jindrak clocked Morrus with the MARK OF EXCELLENCE, allowing Jarrett to pick up the pieces.

POST MATCH

As Jarrett and Jindrak celebrate in the ring, soaking up the boo’s from the crowd, Dustin Rhodes' music hits to the delight of the crowd. He walks out with Eric Bischoff by his side, to the surprise of the commentary booth. Bischoff is looking very pleased with himself as he helps Rhodes into the ring and stands smugly to one side. Dustin tells Jarrett he has finally got what he wanted, and that was Jeff in a match one on one. His Dad was still recovering and wouldn’t be there, and Bischoff had signed off on banning Jindrak from the arena for the night to ensure they had the contest to themselves. Jarrett is beside himself, shouting obscenities at Rhodes and Bischoff as he holds back Jindrak.

After the commercial break we are back with Eric Bischoff, this time we are in the familiar setting of his office and with him are Sting and Booker T. He tells them that he has seen what has been happening, and he is growing tired of seeing his authority questioned by Ric Flair. So tonight, in the main event, he is adding the stipulation that the winning team will face Goldberg in a triple threat match at Great American Bash. He also informed them that any interference from Flair or Goldberg would result in the vacating of his belt, and the match being made a one on one bout for the title. Booker apologised to Sting for what happened last week, and told him it wouldn’t happen again, he had his word that they were going to get what they deserved, the two men shook hands.

Jung Dragons vs. Team Canada [Corino & Roode]

Match Highlights:

~ Corino & Roode double teamed Yang, injuring his left leg with a series of brutal manoeuvres orchestrated by Corino.

~ Hayashi made the hot tag with a series of kicks and forearms, before hitting handspring elbows on both opponents, and finally Tornado DDT on Corino.

~ Corino hit Hayashi with a Bridging Fisherman Suplex the commentators called the Old School Plex, but Yang interrupted the pin with Senton Splash.

~ Yang attempted to climb the turnbuckle for his finisher, but his leg gave out half way and he ended in a tree of woe, with Corino and Roode taking advantage by delivery dropkicks and shoulder thrusts.

Match Finish:

Jung Dragons defeated Team Canada, when Hayashi took advantage of them double teaming Yang by hitting both of them with a Diving Crossbody before locking Roode in the CRUNCH LOOP for the victory.

We cut backstage to RVD and former Ace’s team mate Masato Tanka discussing what happened on Thunder, RVD promises he will make it right and that he doesn’t have to go back to Japan, but Tanaka acts pissed. Out of nowhere…

ONHmeYm.pngz6o3udx.pngv5de18G.pngvy141ad.png

Team Canada blindside them both mid-conversation, Awesome & Roode going for Tanaka and Storm & Corino targeting RVD. Roode is still beat up from the match he and Corino just lost and is quickly put on his ass by Tanaka, who goes to war with Awesome, tearing up the corridor. Corino and Storm get the better of RVD and double powerbomb him on the concrete floor. Meanwhile, Tanaka ducks a big boot and suplexes Awesome through the wall of an office they were brawling outside of. Storm and Corino hit Tanaka with simultaneous Superkicks whilst medics rush into the scene.

After the advert break, Douglas, Palumbo and O’Haire are standing outside the office of Johnny Ace. Douglas has a wide grin and is pleased to tell them that Awesome got pulled from the tournament and Chuck received a bye to the next round. However, there was a bigger opportunity ahead in the main event, so he pulled O’Haire from the tournament. Both O’Haire and Palumbo are incensed, but Douglas explains that this is the perfect chance for them to achieve what he said they would achieve when he began helping them. All that stands in their way now, was themselves. He eyed Palumbo as he told them that they had a choice to make about where they stood and what they were willing to do to achieve it. O’Haire asked about his replacement but Douglas just shrugged.

KroniK vs. Totally Buff

Match Highlights:

~ Brian Adams & Luger kicked off the match, with Luger getting the better of Adams, until Adams countered a clothesline into a Full Nelson Slam.

~ In a rematch from the first Nitro on FX, KroniK showed improvement and kept more control of the match up, with Bagwell barely featured in the early stages. When he did get the hot tag, his attempt to rally the team resulted in a Double Chokeslam, KroniK call High Times, with Luger having to make the save.

~ Luger found some momentum though, and dropped both opponents with one handed bulldogs, and hit Clark with a big Atomic Drop.

~ Clark slipped out of the Torture Rack attempt and hit Luger with a Release Belly to Back Suplex.

Match Finish:

KroniK defeated Totally Buff when an isolated Bagwell was hit with the HIGH TIMES once again. Luger wasn’t there to save him on this occasion.

We cut backstage to two relatively new members of the WCW roster, the pair known as The Commission and of The Maritato Family; James Maritato and Tony Mamaluke. Tony and James are watching what unfolded on one of the backstage monitors, laughing together and mocking what Totally Buff had become, Maritato even going so far as to state they could easily beat the tag team, once they’re done with Miller and his buddies on this week's episode of Thunder. As they’re discussing this, Johnny The Bull enters the shot, a man they have been terrorising over the last couple of weeks, even costing him his match in the TV Title Tournament. Without the muscle they usually have backing them up Mamaluke and Maritato attempt a more diplomatic approach to his sudden appearance, but The Bull’s temper gets the best of him and he goes straight for Maritato. As soon as the fight starts though, two more men enter…

T4vTG83.pngFYajrXR.png

If you could call them men, Vampiro and Mortis rush into the attack and lay waste to all three men. Mortis tosses Mamaluke through a stack of chairs, whilst Maritato flys through a table, and The Bull is sent crashing into the concrete. Once the dust has settled, Vampiro takes the limp wrist of Johnny The Bull and drags him off alongside Mortis who hams it up for the cameras.

IN RING

After we return from the advert break, we are greeted by the entrance of the Jung Dragons for the second time tonight. Alongside Ricky Steamboat they make their way to the ring to a relatively warm reception. Ricky gets on the microphone and states he has been advising these two young men to fully realise the potential within them, and the advice he has given them is to challenge the very best the roster has. Steel sharpens steel, and so the Jung Dragons have issued a challenge to the Insiders, for the WCW World Tag Team Championships at Great American Bash. They may not be the number one contenders, but as of right now they have no one to challenge them, so why not give them the chance to prove they’re worthy.

The HYW Express w/ Disco Inferno vs. Shane Helms & Lash LeRoux

Match Highlights:

~ The commentators hype the auditioning partner for Helms, Lash LeRoux, a former Cruiserweight champion and PowerPlant recruit.

~ LeRoux has several early highlights, including swarming Karagias with the Bourbon Street Blues, a series of jabs, followed by Lash hitting the splits and then a big lariat that turns Evan inside out.

~ Wright climbs to the top turnbuckle going for a leg drop, but Helms meets him at the top and hits a huge Frankensteiner.

~ Helms puts on a masterclass of wrestling, with multiple impressive takedowns, and a series of various suplexes on both Karagias and Wright.

Match Finish:

The HYW Express defeated Helms & LeRoux after Wright hit a hidden low blow on LeRoux, and rolled him up whilst Inferno held on to Helms.

Once again we go to the office of Eric Bischoff, who is reviewing what looks to be a list of names. A fairly beaten up RVD enters and tells Bischoff that this is the perfect opportunity to give him what he is owed. Ace wants rid of him, so he agrees that if Bischoff agrees to enter RVD in O’Haires slot in the TV Title Tournament, and RVD doesn’t go all the way and win the title, none of them will have to lay eyes on him again. It was a big gamble for RVD but he explained that he wanted to be the man to take that opportunity away from Storm, and he was willing to risk his career in doing so. Bischoff tells him he isn’t interested in losing RVD, and he and Ace are two different people, with two different opinions. However, the disrespect RVD has shown to the lines of authority can’t go unpunished, and he is always happy to book a grudge match, so Bischoff agrees, and wishes him luck.

TV TITLE TOURNAMENT FIRST ROUND

SINGLES MATCH

ONHmeYm.png40HCKWp.png

Lance Storm vs. Rob Van Dam

Match Highlights:

~ After manoeuvring himself into the tournament, a bruised and beaten RVD faces off against recent nemesis Lance Storm, and both men have each other scouted well in the early stages, countering several moves and avoiding most offence.

~ RVD hits a big Spinning Side Kick and drops Storm, he goes for the Rolling Thunder, but Storm pops up and hits him with an Ezigurui.

~ After a series of high energy counters, once again, Storm slides through the legs of RVD as he attempts a clothesline, hooks the leg and transitions him into a Canadian Maple Leaf. But he is too close to the ropes.

~ RVD dives through the ropes to hit Storm with a Suicide Dive on the outside, and immediately follows that up by monkey flipping Storm over the guardrail and into the crowd.

Match Finish:

RVD defeated Lance Storm when he side-stepped a Superkick attempt, swept Storms leg and hit him with a Standing Moonsault, before rushing up to the top turnbuckle for the big FIVE STAR FROG SPLASH.

After the break, and moments away from the main event, we cut backstage to Booker T and Sting who were stood together, preparing for their entrance. Ric Flair walks into the shot, to cut the tension between both men. He wishes them luck in the tag team match, and tells them if they lose, he might throw them a bone and give them a shot at his United States Championship. Sting doesn’t bite with his mockery, but Booker T is pumped up for the match and has had his fill of the Nature Boy since the company restarted. He tells Flair he hadn’t forgotten about him, and the best thing he could do was get involved tonight, to save his boy Goldberg the embarrassment of getting beat by him on Sunday. Sting looks like he might bite at that, but he bites his lip, much to the amusement of Flair who tells them not to worry about him and Goldberg tonight. Just go out there and enjoy yourselves.

Sting & Booker T vs. Natural Born Thrillers w/ Shane Douglas

Match Highlights:

~ O’Haire and Palumbo show off their teamwork early on, even with the dissension in the ranks, their experience competing together gives them an edge.

~ After being beaten on for several minutes, Sting explodes with a burst of big chops, headbutts and punches. He gots for the Stinger Splash on a cornered Palumbo, but Chuck bursts out with a big Roaring Elbow that flattens Sting.

~ Douglas begins to make himself heard at ringside, much to the annoyance of Booker T, who chases him off after an attempt at preventing a tag. Unfortunately, Booker T runs straight into a Big Boot from O’Haire.

~ Booker T finally gets the hot tag and clears house with a series of jumping sidekicks, clotheslines, and dropkicks, before stopping Palumbo dead in his tracks with a Harlem Sidekick.

~ O’Haire and Booker T brawl to the outside of the ring, Douglas attempts a sneaky clothesline to the back of the head, but Booker catches the arm, twists it and drops Douglas with a hook kick. O’Haire is on him in a flash though with European Uppercuts before throwing him into the announce desk.

~ O’Haire sets Booker T up for a move on the table, but Booker counters with the Book End.

Match Finish:

Sting & Booker T defeated Natural Born Thrillers when Palumbo prevented Douglas from bringing a chair into the match, and turned into a Snap DDT from Sting, followed up by the SCORPION DEATH DROP for the pinfall.

POST MATCH

O’Haire and Douglas this time do charge into the ring with chairs in hand and Douglas nails Booker T with a huge shot, Sting fights off O’Haire with his bat, and knocks the chair from his hand, but when Douglas goes to blindside him with his own, Palumbo catches it in his hands and whips it away from him. Douglas immediately gets in the face of Palumbo, who has finally had enough of The Franchise, and grabs him by the throat. O’Haire flies into Palumbo to break it up, and Douglas takes advantage, the three men scramble and the two on one brawl falls to the outside and out into the crowd.

With the Natural Born Thrillers brawling in the crowd, and the match over, Goldberg and Flair charge down to the ring. Sting rolls out as the two men enter, with Goldberg hitting a huge spear on Booker T as he is staggering to his feet. Sting looks on, and slowly backs up the ramp, he points the baton to the men in the ring before slowly turning his back on Booker T, who Goldberg lifts into a Jackhammer to put a stamp on the attack and close out the show.

Match Highlights:

~ Kaz and Yang got the match off to a fast start, keeping Nash off balance with a series of quick tags and transitions, but they were unable to get the big man off of his feet. Nash caught Kaz with a big tilt-a-whirl slam though to put a stop to their assault on him.

~ DDP and Hayashi traded big shots, with Kaz slipping an attempted Discus Clothesline and almost got a surprise three count with a backslide pin attempt.

~ Yang hits several big dropkicks and crossbodies on DDP & Nash as he storms into the ring, Nash looks to have caught him for a big slam, but Yang drops the big man with a DDT.

~ Hayashi hits a big plancha to DDP on one side, but when Yang goes for the other side, Nash catches him and hits a Snake Eyes on the guardrail.

~ DDP hits Yang with a big Gutwrench Gutbuster, and follows up with a Diamond Bomb, but Hayashi breaks up the pin.

~ Hayashi hits DDP with the Final Cut, but Nash then hits him with a chokeslam over the ropes to the outside. Steamboat is quick to check on him.

After the opening match we cut backstage to Bischoff and his team of staff; Johnny Ace, Mike Enos & Mike Graham. They are crowded around a monitor and discussing the upcoming matches when RVD interrupts them. Van Dam tells them he wants a match with Storm, Corino or Roode tonight, he doesn’t care how many of them or which one he has to face, he just wants to kick some Team Canada ass. Bischoff goes to speak, but Ace cut’s him off, tells him there is no chance he will be on PPV again until he has completed the TV Title Tournament, and if, and it is a big if, he wins the tournament, then they can evaluate it. Bischoff thanks Ace for his input, apologies for the difference of opinion, because he already agreed to a match with Storm earlier in the night. Since Awesome is injured, he has had to find himself a fourth man because I gave him a rematch of the elimination match you were both in at Slamboree. You’ll need to find yourself three team mates though, I imagine. Bischoff and Ace share a smug nod as RVD thanks them for the opportunity in a sarcastic manner.

Billy Kidman vs. Chavo Guerrero Jr

Match Highlights:

~ Chavo and Kidman go straight at it from the bell, with both having a personal grievance with the other after recent altercations. Chavo’s gameplan becomes immediately evident as he opts for a more cerebral attack, with submission holds and clinches.

~ Chavo utilises a submission used by his Uncle, the Lasso from El Paso, which he locks in tight and brings cries of anguish from Kidman.

~ Chavo continues with the theme, locking Kidman into a Surfboard Stretch Submission that almost sees Kidman pass out, but he fights back from the brink.

~ As Kidman gains some momentum he unloads a series of big Dropkicks, a Swinging Neckbreaker, and finally hits Chavo with the Kid Krusher.

Match Finish:

Chavo Guerrero Jr defeated Billy Kidman after almost falling to several of Kidman’s attacks, Chavo pokes Kidman in the eye, before rolling him up and using the ropes for leverage in the pinfall.

We cut backstage to Shane Douglas and Sean O’Haire backstage in deep discussion, though what was being discussed couldn’t be heard. As they continue, another man approaches and Douglas has to hold back O’Haire from attacking when the camera pans to Chuck Palumbo. Douglas attempts to calm things down whilst asking him what he is doing here, Chuck responds that he is here tonight to keep them in check. Douglas might have lost them their tag team titles, and split them up, but Palumbo wasn’t going to let anyone else suffer what he had planned. Douglas laughed this off with the suggestion that anyone could stand in their way. He told Palumbo to stay out of their way or there would be consequences. Palumbo and O’Haire faced off as we went back to ringside.

Air Raid vs. The Bullyweights vs. Shane Helms & Jamie Knoble vs. The HYW Express w/ Disco Inferno

Match Highlights:

~ Jamie Knoble is Shane Helms surprise teammate, and has resurfaced in the WCW with a new Championship belt that he keeps strapped around his waist. The commentators note this is the NWA Wildside Heavyweight Championship, which is the top title for the company he has been working with since the reboot of WCW. Knoble kicks off the match with Elix Skipper and the two men waste no time in trading blows.

~ Helms and Wright have an exchange of holds, transitions and locks, with Helms getting the better of it and hitting Wright with a Tilt-a-Whirl Facebuster.

~ When the fight goes to the outside, Karagias is the first man to fly over the top rope with a plancha, before Kid Romeo hits a suicide dive, and with a large group of men now on the outside, Air Styles cleans them out with a beautiful springboard Shooting Star Plancha.

~ Skipper & Romeo isolate Paris and hit him with several big shots, before Skipper begins slapping him in the face whilst Romeo has him locked up in a Camel Clutch. Knoble is the man to make the save, with a big Missile Dropkick taking out Skipper, before he pops to his feet and nails Romeo Single-Arm DDT.

~ Helms and Knoble take on the HYW Express, but Knoble’s attention is drawn away when Disco Inferno finds his Wildside Championship title at ringside and begins parading around with. Knoble is screaming at him to not touch his baby, and leaps out of the ring to chase him into the crowd.

Match Finish:

The Bullyweights won the match when they blindside HYW Express, clearing them out before taking Helms out in a two on one fight. Romeo hits him with the LAST KISS piledriver, whilst Skipper ensures Styles can’t break the pin.

Dustin Rhodes vs. Jeff Jarrett

Match Highlights:

~ With no Jindrak at ringside, Jarrett starts the match more cautiously, whilst Rhodes looks to unleash the pent up anger he has toward his opponent. Both men lock up, and exchange transitions until Jarrett cheap shots Rhodes to take control

~ Jarret tripped Rhodes onto the ropes before hitting a leapfrog body guillotine, whilst keeping his leg in place and choking Rhodes against the rope. The referee, Billy Silverman, almost has to force him to break. This only seems to piss Rhodes off more.

~ Dustin channels his anger and hits Jarrett with a series of vicious chops and uppercuts, before slamming him into the corner and nailing him with a big Bionic Elbow.

~ Jarrett was struggling to cope with the onslaught as Rhodes refused to let up his assault, he bounced off the ropes and slammed Jeff’s head into the mat with a running bulldog.

~ Jarrett almost got the quick pinfall when he caught Rhode’s attempts at a Diving Crossbody and turned it into a big Powerslam before grabbing at Dustin’s tights during the pinfall attempt.

~ Dustin argues with the ref whilst Jarrett rolls out of the ring to get his guitar. Rhodes cuts him off with a Cannonball from the apron, before throwing him back in the ring for a Directors Cut and near fall.

Match Finish:

Jeff Jarrett defeated Dustin Rhodes when Rhodes went for the Final Cut finisher, but Jarrett reversed it into The Stroke and scored the quick pinfall out of nowhere.

Rhodes furious at what had just happened, the implications of the loss flooded over him in a wave of emotion that was clear on his face. The commentary team discussed why he could be so upset. The shock quickly transformed into anger and he began laying into Jarrett before hitting him with the Final Cut. He whipped him into the corner and set him up for the Shattered Dreams, but instead of kicking him, he slid out of the ring to retrieve Jarretts guitar and slammed the guitar into the groin of Jarrett instead. The assault didn’t appear to please Dustin at all and he simply slid from the ring with a look of guilt and anger.

IN RING

2z4k0l0.pngHO2Iyaw.png

Totally Buff makes their entrance next, to a mixed reaction. Bagwell and Luger roll into the ring, with the latter looking less interested than the former. Bagwell took to the mic and informed the crowd that it was their lucky day as they got to bear witness to the perfect bodies of the buffest team in the whole of the wrestling industry. And we all know that the buffer, the better. Bagwell says he and Luger will face anyone in the back who is up for the challenge, and the losing streak ends right here, right now.

T4vTG83.pngFYajrXR.pngTg62Nxc.pngb1Uy3Je.png

This prompts the entrance of The Weeping, however, Vampiro and Mortis are joined by two more members. The two new intimidating figures remain on the stage whilst Vampiro & Mortis make their way to the ring, seemingly accepting the challenge laid out by Totally Buff.

Totally Buff vs. The Weeping

~ Luger almost gets Vampiro in the Torture Rack, but the leader of The Weeping slips out, only for Bagwell to sneak in and hit him with a Yellow Jacket Suplex.

~ Vampiro & Mortis double team Luger, drop the big man to his knees before they both hit simultaneous Superkicks.

Match Finish:

The Weeping defeated Totally Buff when an isolated Bagwell is hit with the BRIBE FOR THE FERRYMAN by Mortis.

POST MATCH

After the match, Vampiro & Mortis vacate the ring as their two new associates make their way down the ramp. The commentary team refer to the two monsters as Abyss and Rellik. Both men charge into the ring and begin assaulting the already battered Luger & Bagwell. Luger attempts to fight off Abyss, but the big man catches him in a spinning Powerslam called the BLACK HOLE SLAM. Bagwell is less brave and instead attempts to flee, but Rellik chases him down with a Lou Thesz press and begins slamming his head into the face of Bagwell, a move known as THE FIRST CANTO. The referee calls for assistance, and several staff members surround the ring before Vampiro calls them off and the four monsters make their exit through the crowd.

RVD, KroniK & Bam Bam Bigelow vs. Team Canada & Shawn Stasiak w/ Stacy Keibler

Match Highlights:

~ The short notice team of RVD got the first elimination when KroniK hit the High Times double chokeslam on Robert Roode.

~ Storm & Corino rallied the match for Team Canada after Keibler made a distraction on the outside, and allowed Corino to hit Clark with the OLD SCHOOL PLEX and eliminate him.

~ RVD and Storm battled on the outside as the rest of the teams scrapped in the ring, Bam Bam got some revenge on Stasiak from the last ever Nitro on TNT, when he hit him with the GREETINGS FROM ASBURY PARK and eliminated him.

~ Corino quickly returned the favour though and got the low blow on Bam Bam for a quick roll up, and with the assistance of the ropes he eliminated the big man on his big return to WCW.

~ Brian Adams took out Corino with a Full Nelson Slam, but Storm interrupted the pin. RVD ate a Superkick as he springboarded into the ring to meet Storm. Storm then locked in the CANADIAN MAPLE LEAF on Adams and forced him to tap.

Match Finish:

Team Canada won the match when RVD was unable to overcome the numbers, as he had done at Slamboree. Corino planted him with the OLD SCHOOL EXPULSION to get the team the pinfall and victory.

We saw a package video for the feud between former brothers, Rick Steiner and Scott, now simply referred to as BIG POPPA PUMP. Scott’s progression is shown from the first Nitro where he turned on his brother alongside the other former members of the Magnificent Seven, all the way to Rick beating him at Slamboree and earning the right to strip him of the Steiner name. We see clips of Midajah and Rick talking about Scott and why they turned on him and betrayed him, etc. We also see clips of the increased aggression from Scott with his attack on Road Warrior Animal, chasing Midajah backstage, and then we get final words from both men, who promise that this will be the end for one of the two men.

LOSER LEAVES TOWN CAGE MATCH

DhLMdsQ.pngT0e47QU.png

BIG POPPA PUMP vs. Rick Steiner

Match Highlights:

~ Rick enters the cage armed with a crowbar, whilst Scott looks on with intensity as the cage door is closed and locked. Rick immediately clocks Scott with the crowbar, Scott did his best to block it but ran straight into the shot. Within moments Scott is already bleeding..

~ With blood pouring from his former brother Rick begins an onslaught of big moves, looking to put him down and put him down for good. He slams him into the cage with an Inverted Powerslam, followed by a Gorilla Press Slam.

~ Scott begins to rally, with the taste of his own blood on his lips, he and Rick begin trading big, hard shots with each other, before Scott throws Rick head first into the cage and drags his face across the stitched metal.

~ Blood is now pouring from both men as this blood feud becomes literal. Scott continues his dominance with a Half Nelson Suplex, immediately followed by a Dragon Suplex.

~ As both men tire, the bout falls into a wrestling match, and Rick gets the better of Scott with a big double leg takedown, he then hits him with a big Overhead Belly to Belly Suplex into the cage wall.

~ Midajah rushes to ringside and tosses something over the top of the cage, Rick picks it up and shows the handcuffs to the audience. He handcuffs Scott to the cage wall before he gloats to the crowd and goes for the crowbar.

~ Rick goes to hit Scott with the crowbar, but the bloodied and barely conscious Scott catches it with his free hand and screams in the face of Rick. Rick hits him with the other hand instead and audibly shouts ‘screw this!’ before attempting to climb the cage. Scott to the glee of the fans wrestles with the handcuffs and SNAPS them, freeing himself to climb the cage wall and hit Rick with a big back suplex.

Match Finish:

BIG POPPA PUMP defeated Rick Steiner when he dragged Rick to the top rope and hit the GENETIC FREAK DRIVER FROM THE TOP ROPE. With Rick unmoving, Scott eventually climbs to his feet and kicks open the cage door, too exhausted to climb the wall.

After the cage match and a brief intermission we are shown a video package with the build up to the show's main event between Goldberg, Sting and Booker T. We see the formation of the alliance of Flair and Goldberg, and the subsequent victories they have had together as a pair. We are then shown the uneasiness between Sting and Booker T, where they finally agreed to work together, and where that all fell apart, culminating with Sting walking out on Booker last Nitro, allowing him to be assaulted by Flair and Goldberg. Both men have a score to settle, and will be hoping they can capture the WCW World Heavyweight Championship whilst they do it.

TRIPLE THREAT MATCH

t8ZDIl1.pngBae08kr.png6JNOtIW.png

Goldberg © vs. Sting vs. Booker T

Match Highlights:

~ From the off, Sting and Booker T went straight at one another, whilst Goldberg took a step back with a smirk in place. Booker T staggered Sting with a big forearm, but when he stepped back to hit a Superkick, Goldberg smashed into him with a SPEAR.

~ Sting and Goldberg had a grappling exchange, with Sting getting the better of Goldberg and almost locking in the Scorpion DeathLock after hitting a Snap DDT, but Goldberg wrestled free of it.

~ Booker went on a rampage of big move after big move, hitting Goldberg with the 110th Street Slam spinebuster, and Sting with a Harlem Hangover.

~ Sean O’Haire and Shane Douglas joined Ric Flair in running down the ramp, but before anyone could interfere, Chuck Palumbo came out of nowhere with a chair in hand. He planted Douglas and O’Haire with headshots, before Flair wisely backed off. Palumbo dropped the chair and began dragging Douglas up the ramp, a groggy O’Haire chasing after him.

~ Flair uncovered the concrete floor at ringside, and urged Goldberg to hit Booker T with the Jackhammer on to it. But Sting cut Golderg off, forcing him to drop Booker T.

~ Booker whipped Goldberg over the guardrail and the two men brawled in the crowd, Booker taking a beer from a fan before slamming it into the face of Goldberg, followed by someone elses’ hot dog.

~ Flair and Sting met outside the ring, after Flair had uncovered the concrete floor beside the ring earlier, it came back to haunt him when Sting hit him with a Belly to Belly Piledriver onto the concrete!

~ The three men met in the ring once again, but Sting and Booker ultimately could not avoid wanting to punch the other in the face. This time Sting cornered Booker, he slipped Goldbergs attempt at a Spear, which hit Booker instead and then hit them both with a Stinger Splash.

Match Finish:

Goldberg defeated Sting & Booker T when Sting had the match won after hitting Goldberg with the Scorpion Death Drop, but instead he went to Booker with another Stinger Splash, which Booker avoided. Booker hit Sting with a Superkick and then a big Axe Kick, but Goldberg broke up the pin. He ducked a sidekick from Booker, and returned with another SPEAR, the third Booker received in the match. He lifted Sting up for the JACKHAMMER and got the pinfall.

Booker T and Sting had gotten to their feet and were in each other's faces, screaming about the other one costing them the match. A FEW DAYS BEFORE GREAT AMERICAN BASH…

PHASE TWO ENGAGED

OYIGJj1.png

Angus King snapped shut the notepad he had been scribbling in and smiled at Tully Blanchard, the man sat opposite him. King had to admit, as he leant back in his reclining chair, that Blanchard had had an immediate impact on the morale of the locker room. His relationship with Arn & Ric was strong and it garnered a lot of respect, so when he implemented his new enforcement and fining system, there was little complaint. Not that it put a stop to everything, certain people continued to prove themselves difficult, but King was determined to keep them on board and for them all to find a way to work through it. King had listed the enforcements down:

Warning: Two consecutive warnings results in a fine.

Late for a meeting.

Arguments with colleagues.

Bullying, Hazing, or Excessive Pranking.

Fines: Three consecutive fines results in a suspension.

Missed meeting.

Turned up unable to perform.

Criminal damage to company or colleagues property.

Altercations with fans at shows, tapings or company driven events.

Suspensions: 28 Days Suspension from all company activities. Multiple suspensions will result in termination of contract, at discretion of Paradigm.

Physical assault of fan, staff, or colleague.

Failed drug test. (Rehab will be discussed if worker is unable to shake the habit after the post-suspension meeting)

King recalled the list from memory, having made the notes multiple times now, and ensuring Casper had them recited to memory also. Blanchard had proven useful, but now the rules were in place and his aura with the locker room had held firm, King no longer required him. He was a board member though, so ridding himself of Blanchard would prove difficult. The risks were worth taking though, as the alliance of the former Horsemen could grow to become more influential than his own. The silence lingered between them a little too long, and not for the first time, Tully wasn’t his biggest fan either.

KING: “Sorry, my mind wandered. We were talking about Jimmy. Who was he fighting this time?”

TULLY: “That’s okay, the young lad irked one of the Warriors this time. Never seen a lad pick so many fights and lose. Are you sure about sending him on the tour?”

KING: “Well, now that you’ve mentioned it. There was another reason I asked to see you today. As you know the Worldwide tour will be kicking off very soon, in fact, we’ve already flown out the primary production team. However, we need someone of influence there, and ideally, we need someone from Paradigm there. You came out of retirement to resolve our locker room issues, I’m going to need you to ensure we don't have the same problems in Japan.”

TULLY: “You know I can’t do that, Angus.”

KING: “I’ve already cleared it with the rest of the board…”

TULLY: “I see. This is some sort of retribution for them sending me in? You think I undermined you? I’m just trying to help us all achieve the same goal.”

KING: “Worldwide is a big part of that goal, Tully. In fact, the whole tour was my idea, it was my baby, what I have the highest hopes for! I wouldn’t trust it with anyone else.”

TULLY: “...if that were true, Angus, you wouldn’t have spoken to the board about it behind my back.”

KING: “We are both busy men, there have been several meetings I myself have been unable to attend. As you have said, we are all working toward the same goal. The worldwide project will be a huge part of that.”

TULLY: “I see. Well, I guess I should get my bags packed. I assume you’ve already met with my wife and kids too?”

KING: “I’ve arranged for accommodation for your family if they wish to join you.”

TULLY: “You’re too kind.”

THE STANTON REPORT

HEADLINE NEWS: PARADIGM’S WCW CONTINUES PURCHASE OF ASSETS WITH NWA WILDSIDE

Hello once again, I am Gus Stanton, and this is your Stanton Report. Breaking you news once again, remember folks, you heard it here first. A lot has been said about the recent acquisition and change of direction for WCW under the new management of Paradigm. Mostly by me. But whilst there has been some criticism of the direction they have gone creatively, there is no doubting the ambition they are showing. The goal is clearly to become a rival to the WWF, but what seems to be the aim with the latest movements within the company, is to redefine what is expected of the premier wrestling company in the country. WWF, of course, will reign supreme for a while, but Paradigm will be hoping by diversifying the product and procuring the best up and coming talent they can make some ground up on them. NWA Wildside, run by Bill Behrens, has had an association with WCW for several months and it appears that the company have decided to make that relationship more official by purchasing the company and absorbing them into this new WCW umbrella alongside the debut of WCW Worldwide that has been rumoured for months. I know, first hand, that several WCW contracted workers made the transition to Wildside during the initial weeks of the Paradigm shift, so it is likely we will see those workers return to the roster in the coming months but also that the intention for Wildside may be more than a simple developmental arrangement. We have already seen the return of current Wildside Champion, Jamie Knoble, engage in a significant storyline. We have also seen a shift in the recruitment of Wildside in recent weeks, with several wrestlers previously connected to the company coming aboard.

Only time will tell if this acquisition becomes as impactful as I envision it will be, but for now, WCW fans can remain as hopeful as this ex-employee. Until next time!

HOURS BEFORE NITRO…

THE SHOW MUST GO ON!

UsopKUN.png

Eric Bischoff and his team sat around the meeting room table, various pastries and biscuits were plated in the centre, and each man had a coffee before them. Bischoff, Enos, Graham and Ace were running through their usual pre-Nitro tidy up. Graham ran through the recent disciplinary issues that Tully Blanchard had been managing. Not that much could have occurred in the last twenty four hours, but with Nash on the roster, you could never count that out. Ace ran through the creative web that had played out over the last few weeks, which ebbs continued to flow and the direction they led, which had come to an end or splintered off in to something else. Bischoff was happy with what was to come, excited even at the stories he was getting to tell alongside the contributions of Paradigm. He felt, as the weeks went on though, that his ideas were getting more and more prominence.

Enos ran through the medical update, alongside the suspensions and other absences. The biggest discussion came over the concussion Booker T suffered in the main event, Enos advised we sit him out, but Bischoff and the others disagreed. The storyline between Booker T & Sting had been built since the first episode, what was to come would be integral to the Bash at the Beach event. Wrestlers had worked through concussions before, Booker T would be fine. Enos seemed unhappy, but Bischoff shrugged it off.

There were bigger fish to fry. They had decided to move the PPV events back to the end of the month, allowing Bischoff even more time to play out what he had planned. On the downside, he would be losing several roster members to the WCW Worldwide tour of Japan, the details had been confirmed, Totally Buff and Jung Dragons would be the biggest misses for him. On the plus side though, this new WCW Wildside brand would open up options for them to add to the roster. Paradigm referred to this stage as Phase Two, where the world fully sees what the new WCW will look like. With the Worldwide tours potentially reaching a new audience and presenting different styles of wrestling, and Wildside being a viable second brand, this wasn’t a simple rebuild of the company. To Bischoff, this was everything he had hoped it would be and more. Now, he just needed to find a way to get control of it all.

Sting and Booker T both make their entrances next, each one get a rapturous applause despite their losing effort last night. Both are still sporting bruises from the tough match up too. Both entrances have increased security, with Arn Anderson coming out himself and monitoring the stand off between the two men himself. Sting and Booker T don’t get the chance to speak as Bischoff’s music hits...

UsopKUN.png

Bischoff makes his way to the ring and informs the two men that he has the solution to their problem. They’ve had their chance at the title, but he is willing to give one of them one last shot at Goldberg, in a one on one match. However, to earn that shot, they are going to have to prove who is the better man. Over the next few weeks, both men will compete in a Best of Five Match series, with stipulations that Bischoff will choose himself. The first match will happen next week, and it will be a Submission Match. Bischoff wished both men luck and exited without either man getting to say a word. Both Sting and Booker shared an intense stare off, before Booker nodded and exited the ring.

Douglas proudly announces that the Natural Born Thrillers were no more. Douglas wanted a franchise player, and he got one in O’Haire, the only man he sees as capable of going on to succeed in this business. He warned Palumbo to move on, or get crushed, there was no middle ground, before issuing another warning to all the title holders in the company. The franchise was coming for gold.

We go backstage to find Ric Flair and Goldberg in a heated discussion, Flair demanded to know what the issue last night was, whilst Goldberg was telling him to back off, or else. After enough pushing, Goldberg said they had an agreement between them, but that was done, they’d both got what they wanted out of their partnership, but it was over. It was just business. Flair said it wasn’t done until he said it was, saying Goldberg still owed him big time for that World Heavyweight Championship around his waist. Goldberg was losing his temper, but the two men were interrupted by…

UsopKUN.png

Eric Bischoff entered the scene, telling both men that he couldn’t help overhearing their discussion of a business partnership between the two and how they had begun to act like they were running the show. Bischoff said for Flair in particular, he needed to learn his place, and that started with defending his United States Championship next week on Nitro. The challenger, would be determined in tonight's main event, a 15 Man Battle Royal with some of the top talents in the company. Flair looked incensed and turned to Goldberg. Bischoff exited the shot with a smug look on his face but walked straight into…

gojW86H.png

Dustin Rhodes stood over him with an intense glare. He told Bischoff their deal was a mistake, but Eric simply said what is done is done. Dustin put his father’s in-ring career on the line to get the match with Jarrett, if he lost, Dusty was done competing whilst Bischoff remained in charge. Eric reminded Dustin that it was probably the best outcome all round, Dustin doesn’t have to look after his Dad, and Dusty gets to focus on work that won’t see him seriously injured. Dustin pleaded that it wasn’t his decision to make, and that he would do whatever was required to reverse it. Bischoff told him he can start with taking the US title from Flair. Telling him he was in the Main Event tonight.

We find another argument occurring backstage, this time we see Chuck Palumbo cornering Shane Douglas. O’Haire is nowhere to be seen, and Shane is making a point to tell Chuck that his issue is with Sean not him, he just backed the best horse. Chuck felt differently, Douglas had taken everything he’d been working toward in a matter of weeks, and he had just spoken to Johnny Ace who has confirmed they will both face off next week, to put an end to something he should have ended weeks ago.

TV TITLE TOURNAMENT QUARTERFINAL

SINGLES MATCH

yV8XRYN.pngLIBVNGT.png40HCKWp.png

Mark Jindrak w/ Jeff Jarrett vs. Rob Van Dam

Match Highlights:

~ Jarrett manages to get into a heated exchange with Lawler at ringside after the commentator warned RVD of an attempt to hand Jindrak his guitar. The two almost came to blows before RVD hit Jarrett with a Moonsault from the apron.

~ Jindrak & RVD exchange strikes, but RVD proves too quick for Jindrak when it comes to landing the Mark of Excellence.

~ Jarrett goades RVD into another high flying manoeuvre, but this time, he slips out of the way and RVD flies over the guard rail and into the crowd.

~ Jindrak finally gets the guitar, whilst the referee is distracted, but RVD hits him with a Van Daminater to the guitar.

Match Finish:

Rob Van Dam defeated Mark Jindrak when Lance Storm and Team Canada got involved, both Storm & Corino attempted to interfere, but RVD dropped into a split and both men hit Jindrak with Superkicks. The referee sees them out soon after (conveniently missing the interference), leaving RVD to land the FIVE STAR FROG SPLASH for the win.

Storm and Corino are fuming and rush the ring along with Roode, taking the fight to RVD. The former ECW star puts up a brave fight, but the numbers, just like last night, are too much for him. Corino and Roode have him set up for a Powerbomb through a table but…

KroniK are flying down to the ring to intervene. RVD is dropped as the three Canadians prepare to defend themselves, before bailing from the ring at the last minute. Corino and Storm shouting insults as they back away from the fight, holding Roode back, who seemed up for the fight.

We go backstage to Ric Flair in his locker room, he is red faced and flustered, looking more stressed than we have seen him since the last episode of Nitro on TNT. With him in the locker room is Midajah, who looks terrified, constantly looking over her shoulder and jumping at a bang from off camera. Flair is talking to someone who cannot be seen, explaining that Midajah has come to him for help, and he needs someone to look out for her whilst he focuses on other matters. He explains that he is paying a high price for this protection though, so he needs to ensure they are both looked out for. We hear a grunt off camera, whilst Flair comforts Midajah with crazed eyes and sweat dripping from his forehead.

Order of Eliminations:

~ Cena powerlifts Inferno and tosses him over the top rope with ease.

~ Maritato & Big Vito team up to take Smiley out, but Morrus returns the favour by eliminating both of them.

~ Moore and Storm have a great exchange, but Corino blindsides him and throws him over the ropes.

~ Bam Bam Bigelow goes on a tear, hitting several people with big moves, until Cena & Sanders team with Storm & Corino to bundle him over the top rope.

~ Bagwell hoists LeRoux up in a show of strength, but Storm connects with a Superkick and both men fall over the top rope.

~ Jarrett and Rhodes are going at it the entire time, with Jarrett eventually hitting Rhodes with a low blow, he throws him over the top rope, but Rhodes keeps hold and rolls back in. Meanwhile, Morrus hits a big Elbow drop on Cena, before Powerbombing Sanders out of the ring.

~ Cena looks to avenge the elimination, but Morrus pulls down on the top rope and Cena’s momentum takes him over and out.

~ Rhodes hits Shattered Dreams on both Corino & Storm as they’re cornered, but Jarrett intercepts when he attempts to eliminate one of them. Jarrett calls for the guitar from Jindrak, but Rhodes wrestles it from him, and plants him with it before tossing him out of the ring.

~ Morrus hits the No Joke rolling cutter on Storm and sends him over the rope, but he holds on somehow. Whilst Corino takes the opportunity to Superkick Morrus over the top rope.

~ Corino and Storm double team Rhodes, but Dustin fights back with a vengeance, catching a Superkick attempt and throwing Corino over the top rope with an Exploder Suplex.

Match Finish:

Dustin Rhodes won the battle royal when he and Storm exchanged signature moves, until Storm went for a slingshot manoeuvre, that Rhodes countered with a Bionic Elbow before he got over the rope. Storm collapsed to the outside giving Rhodes the win and the shot at the WCW United States Championship next week.

<span style="font-size:14px;">Sting vs. Booker T</span></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Match Highlights:</strong></p><p>

<em>~ The commentary team were quick to highlight Booker’s lack of submission manoeuvres, but were almost made to eat their words straight away as Booker surprised Sting with a Single Leg Boston Crab after securing a single leg takedown. Sting easily reversed the submission though.</em></p><p><em>

~ Both men’s animosity toward the other bubbled over early on too, with the match becoming more of a brawl than a grappling exchange, Sting hitting consecutive Stinger Splashes that had Booker T dazed.</em></p><p><em>

~ Sting focused a lot of his attacks on the lower back of Booker, showing a more cerebral style as the match went on, hitting him with several backbreakers and strikes to that area. Booker screamed in agony as Sting locked him in an Abdominal Stretch.</em></p><p><em>

~ Booker rallied late on, utilising fast paced offence to take control of the match and send Sting staggering from his striking arsenal. He countered a Stinger Splash by slipping from the corner and connecting with a big Spinning Wheel kick to the back of Sting's head.</em></p><p><em>

~ Sting fought for the Scorpion DeathLock, but Booker blocked it and locked Sting in a Muay Thai clinch, delivering several big knees that looked to have knocked Sting out. Booker attempted a Sleeper Hold but Sting bundled them both into the corner to break it.</em> </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Match Finish:</strong></p><p>

<em>We cut backstage to Ric Flair and Goldberg sitting in an empty meeting room, Flair told Goldberg that he was glad he came and that he lost his cool last week. He told Goldberg that he needed him tonight, and if he agreed to aid him in his defence of the United States title, then a new arrangement could be made, one that would continue to see them benefit from what had been a fruitful business partnership. Goldberg huffed at the suggestion, but Flair told him that he already took steps to rid them both of the issue that was BIG POPPA PUMP, Ric proclaimed in a mocking voice. He told Goldberg that he was looking out for him, and Bischoff wasn’t the only one with power around here, Flair could put Goldberg in a position to win even more gold, gain even more accolades, if that is what Goldberg wanted. All he asked is that Goldberg thought about it. Goldberg didn’t agree but walked out of the room without comment.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<em>Jarrett slid his guitar to Jindrak post match and both men propped Tanaka up for the guitar shot, intending to send a message out to the rest of the roster. Lawler however, hopped from the commentary booth and stormed the ring. He sent Jarrett flying over the top rope with a clothesline, before ducking Jindrak’s KO Punch, and levelling him with a Scoop Slam that saw him quickly retreat from the ring. <em>~ Clark showcased his strength early on, throwing both Canadians around the ring and successfully keeping them at bay, getting a close two count after a big Pumphandle slam on Storm.</em></p><p><em>

~ Team Canada eventually gained control after a cheap shot on Clark, they isolated him for a large portion of the match, keeping him grounded with strikes and holds.</em></p><p><em>

~ When Adams got the hot tag he stormed the ring with clotheslines and big boots aplenty, levelling both opponents several times. A big Tilt-a-Whirl Backbreaker on Storm punctuated the shift in momentum.</em></p><p><em>

~ Both teams searched for the finishing combination, Corino slipping out of a Double Chokeslam, whilst Storm jumped on to the back of Adams with a choke hold. Adams flipped him over his head and Clark hit Corino with a single Chokeslam instead, but he just kicked out in time.</em> </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Match Finish:</strong></p><p>

<em>To the surprise of BIG POPPA PUMP and the commentary team, Midajah makes her entrance after Scott is done beating up the enhancement talent. She takes to the microphone and warns Scott to leave her alone, she had her reasons for betraying him but what is done is done and he needed to move on before he got hurt. This only incensed the already hyper aggressive Scott, but the plea turned out to only be a distraction as…</em></p><p> </p><p>

<em>Ahmed Johnson popped up behind Scott, BIG POPPA PUMP turned straight into a Shoulder Tackle from Johnson, the two men brawled but Johnson had the element of surprise, nailing Scott with a Bicycle Kick before dropping him with the PEARL RIVER PLUNGE Powerbomb. Johnson didn’t say anything following the assault but silently accompanied a smuggish Midajah out of the arena.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Match Highlights:</strong></p><p>

<em>~ Chuck went straight at Shane without giving him a moment's rest, despite his pleas. Palumbo had been waiting to get his hands on Douglas and tossed him to the mat with a series of Scoop Slams that had Douglas roll from the ring in agony.</em></p><p><em>

~ The fight moved to the ringside area, where O’Haire attempted a Big Boot on Palumbo, however, Chuck caught the kick and levelled Sean with a Clothesline, but not before Douglas leaped off the top turnbuckle with a Diving Crossbody that crashed into him moments later.</em></p><p><em>

~ Chuck lifted Shane into a big Delayed Vertical Suplex, flipping off O’Haire as he held Douglas up in the air for several seconds before slamming him down.</em></p><p><em>

~ Palumbo finally lifted Douglas up into the Full Throttle, but Shane wriggled free and turned it into an Inverted DDT on Chuck.</em> </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Match Finish:</strong></p><p>

<em><strong>Chuck Palumbo</strong></em><em> defeated Shane Douglas via DQ after O’Haire had seen enough and blatantly attacked Palumbo in front of the referee, Billy Silverman. Both men put the boots to Palumbo, before Douglas hit him with a PILEDRIVER and celebrated as though he’d won the match.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<em>We cut backstage to Jeremy Borash with the reigning World Tag Team Champions, The Insiders. Borash was unable to get a word out though as Nash snatched the microphone from him. He and DDP made it clear from the start that they were going to be fighting champions until they decided to move on from dominating the tag team division, and unlike The Weeping, they don’t stand around waiting for a fight. So if The Weeping want The Insiders, they will be waiting next week for them to step up and actually get in the ring this time.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:14px;">Ric Flair © vs. Dustin Rhodes</span></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Match Highlights:</strong></p><p>

<em>~ Both men tentatively exchanged grappling moves early in the match, trying to test the others strength and find a weakness, as Flair began to get the better of Dustin he hit him with a quick Snapmare, before a Knee Drop to the ace with swagger. He went straight to the second rope to hit a Knee Drop from there too, but it wasn’t enough to get the three count</em></p><p><em>

~ Dustin wrestled back some control by adopting a faster paced offence, hitting Flair with a series of Running Bulldogs.</em></p><p><em>

~ Flair cornered Rhodes with a series of brutal Knife Edge Chops to slow him down, Flair mocked him in between each one before dropping him with a quick DDT.</em></p><p><em>

~ Dustin went for a Code Red, but Flair wriggled free and almost locked in the Figure Four Leglock.</em></p><p><em>

~ Both men bounced off the ropes, ducking each other's clothesline, before Flair picked up the pace and caught Dustin with a running Crossbody that sent both of them over the top rope and crashing to the ringside mats.</em></p><p><em>

~ Dustin gets the better of the ringside battle, whipping Flair into several guard rails before hitting him with a Rolling Senton from the apron.</em> </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Match Finish:</strong></p><p>

<em><strong>Dustin Rhodes</strong></em><em> defeated Ric Flair to win the WCW United States Championship when Goldberg made his way to the ring, Dustin sat on the ropes and beckoned him in, allowing Flair to blindside him. I might have to poach Muhammed Hassan post WWE tanking his career though, see if I can repackage him into something he could have succeeded with.</p>
