Kings Tour [TCW, CVerse 2020]

Recommended Posts

Honestly I didn't go crazy on notes as I definitely want them to main event TCW Total Mayhem in a couple of months in a rematch. Any tips on how to make it better?

Plus, I'm considering allowing high-risk moves from now on. Thoughts?

Like this so far. High risk moves will help the ratings (with the exception from the odd wrestler or two)- obviously there's an increased risk with it to. In my TCW PPVs most (but not all) matches allow high risk moves. Less on TV.

Did you Keep Strong Wolf? I never really realised what affect that has on the match rating until this version of the game, but it's quite significant. The other thing you could have got is announcing affecting rating, as that's not a strength of TCW.

If you didn't use any notes to purposely slow down the rating like story telling for example then I don't have many ideas. Other than not using keep strong like the other chap said.

If the idea is to present a more puro-inspired product though (with the touring schedule and the homage to Kings Road in the name) I would definitely allow high risk moves and spinal impact moves.

Press Conference

TCW Battleground III

Owner Kyle Rhodes opens up the Press Conference, doing a recap of a very unique "incremental" card for TCW Battleground III. We will have a one versus one, a two versus two, a three versus three, a four versus four and, in the main event a five versus five match!

TCW Television Title: Greg Gauge © vs Edd Stone

While his allies will have to deal in tag team action, Greg Gauge has to defend his TV championship from the assault of the "24H Party Animal" Edd Stone! The canadian is in a great mood, having just formed a new tag team with "Dr. Love" Danny Fonzarelli. Still, this time he still has a chance to shine in solo for a title belt. Greg Gauge appears very focused on his upcoming battle.

NXT in LINE (Joshua Taylor, Jay Chord) vs KitoGuchi (Chojiro Kitoaji, Bussho Makiguchi)

Joshua Taylor already defeated Chojiro Kitoaji to win the TCW International title back in January 2020. This time, the two will face off again but in a two versus two. Kitoaji will team up with friend Bussho Makiguchi, with which he won three PGHW Glory Tag Crown and three Elite Tag Team Series. Joshua Taylor, instead, will be joined by NXT in LINE's partner Jay Chord, another huge star in the making. This could easily become the match of the night: one to watch for sure!

Sammy Bach, American Cobras (Malloy, Spillane) vs Freddy Huggins, Speed Shock (Speed, Hocking)

The arrogant jerk Freddy Huggins teams up once again with Marc Speed and Matt Hocking. Huggins and Sammy Bach had an argument last week via social, probably both quite nervous from their respective defeats at TCW The War to Settle the Score 2020. Marc Speed and Matt Hocking took Huggins' side once again, so Sammy Bach called a couple of tough wrestlers to even the odds: Marvel Malloy and Storm Spillane! We will see the debut of the American Cobras here in TCW, their first stint in a US major.

Mighty Mo, Tana The Mighty, Human Army vs Sinner Society (Eddie Peak, Killer Shark, Titan, Nick Booth)

Tana The Mighty seeks vengeance against Eddie Peak, who injured him a couple of months ago. Still, the main focus is on his partner, Mighty Mo! A star in the making who's entering this Event as the leader of his team, that also features Human Arsenal and One Man Army. Their opponents, led by Eddie Peak, are The Sinner Society: Tag Team champs Killer Shark and Titan, and "Nasty" Nick Booth. Who will walk out with the W? Things are gonna get chaotic in this one for sure.

Elimination Match: Aaron Andrews, Troy Tornado, T-Bone Bright, Devine Fortune vs The Syndicate

The main event features a five versus five match under elimination rules! The match goes on until all members of a team are eliminated. World Champ Aaron "Ace" Andrews continues his rivalry against Wolf Hawkins, who enters this match alongside all his Syndicate's teammates: Eddie Chandler and Nate Johnson, Doc Hammond and Chris Flynn. Aaron Andrews is supported by Chance Fortune, Darryll Devine, the powerhouse T-Bone Bright and Troy Tornado, which one wonders whether Andrews finally trusts.

CARD FOR PREVISIONS:

TCW Battleground III

Held in front of 10,000 people in The Ranch of San Antonio, Texas

BkpRrnq.png

TCW Television Title: Greg Gauge © vs Edd Stone

In the opener of the night, the Television champ Greg Gauge defends his belt from the assault of "24H Party Animal" Edd Stone. Accompanied by manager Vita and friend Danny Fonzarelli, the canadian has a great match but eventually falls after 15 mins, when champ Greg Gauge makes him tap with the legendary Proton Lock. Greg Gauge makes defence number 10 of his TV Title, being congratulated by NXT in LINES' partners Jay Chord and Joshua Taylor, ready for their following match. This bout gets the show off to a great start! [71]

Before continuing with in-ring action, a small promotion video sees the hispanic american hustler Vinny Cruz who presents to us his client: Mr Lucha III. The luchador from Mexico is a muscular middleweight ready to make some damage here in TCW.

NXT in LINE (Jay Chord, Joshua Taylor) vs KitoGuchi (Bussho Makiguchi, Chojiro Kitoaji)

A two versus two match coming straight from the Open World! In a bout that has great wrestling and lasts a solid 23 mins, Joshua Taylor and Jay Chord eventually come out on top, defeating 3-time PGHW Glory Tag Crown champs KitoGuchi. Joshua Taylor is the one who scores the pin, submitting Bussho Makiguchi with his Butterfly Lock. [77]

After a celebration in ring following the win, Joshua Taylor takes a microphone an completely shoots against PGHW, claiming that he's too damn good for their so-called stars. The TCW International champ fear NO MAN either in US or in Japan, and if someone is so stupid to try him, he's gonna beat him down at TCW Total Mayhem XXIV!

Sammy Bach, American Cobras (Marvel Malloy, Storm Spillane) vs Freddy Huggins, Speed Shock (Marc Speed, Matt Hocking)

In a decent match, the babyface team gets the W after a Bach on your Back by Sammy Bach on Matt Hocking. Freddy Huggins and Speed Shock lick their wound, while Sammy Bach celebrates in the ring alongisde the American Cobras, who won their first event match in a US major. [61]

Dazzling Dave Diamond delivers a promo talking about his plans for Total Mayhem XXIV, issuing an open challenge to anyone in the locker room to fight him in a Texas Brawl match!

Mighty Mo, Tana The Mighty, Human Army (Human Arsenal, One Man Army) vs Sinner Society

In a bout that has good wrestling and decent wrestling, Mighty Mo, Tana The Mighty and the Human Army defeat the Sinner Society in a four versus four match-up. The Sinner Society had a solid match, but the resilience and vengeance desire of Mighty Mo and CO. gave them the upper hand. A big W for tha babyfaces, and with TCW Total Mayhem approaching is safe to say that we can have another Mighty Mo vs Eddie Peak match. And why not, maybe even a World Tag Team titles match. [73]

Elimination Match: Aaron Andrews, Troy Tornado, T-Bone Bright, Devine Fortune vs The Syndicate

The Main Event features a five versus five elimination match that has great heat and decent wrestling. T-Bone Bright starts red hot in this match, but eventually sustains a Broken Jaw before getting eliminated by a quick pin by Wolf Hawkins. Things aren't getting better for the babyfaces, as Chance Fortune is eliminated by Nate Johnson and Darryll Devine follows the same destiny, being pinned by Eddie Chandler. Surprisingly, the bout is now a 5 vs 2 match, what an upset! At this point, Troy Tornado and Aaron Andrews really fight with a heart of a lion, eliminating in this order Eddie Chandler, Chris Flynn and Nate Johnson: and we are now tied! An exhausted Troy Tornado crumbles after a Full Moon Rising by Wolf Hawkins, leaving Aaron Andrews alone. After eliminating Doc Hammond with a surprising comeback, the world champ Aaron Andrews eventually gets pinned by his fresher rival Wolf Hawkins. A bad performance by Andrews' team, but a good individual one for "The Ace" and Troy Tornado. But all the spotlights are on Wolf Hawkins, who gains momentum while we're on our way to TCW Total Mayhem XXIV! [64]

Press Conference

TCW Total Mayhem XXIV

The CEO of Total Championship Wrestling, Kyle Rhodes, welcomes everyone to the Press Conference of the Season Finale for TCW.

Texas Brawl Open Challenge by Dazzling Dave Diamond

As announced during TCW Battlegroud III, “Triple D” Dazzling Dave Diamond issued an open challenge for the season finale of Total Championship Wrestling. DDD is willing to fight with ANYONE in a no-disqualification good ol’ Texas Brawl to entertain the Texan fanbase in attendance. Who will answer the call? Who will challange the tough Dazzling Dave Diamond? We will find out in few weeks!

Freddy Huggins, Speed Shock, Jack Pryde, Roderick Remus vs Sammy Bach, American Cobras, Benny Benson & The Foxx

A big five versus five match between the alliance formed by Freddy Huggins, Marc Speed and Matt Hocking who recently has been joined by the rookie “Prime Time” Jack Pryde and another heel like Roderick Remus, versus the babyface team of Sammy Bach, Marvel Malloy, Storm Spillane, Flying Jimmy Foxx and Benny Benson. “Rock Star” Sammy Bach and the American Cobras defeated Speed Shock and Freddy Huggins last week at TCW Battleground III, let’s see how things go now that the respective teams get bigger!

Troy Tornado, Devine Fortune (Chance Fortune, Darryll Devine) vs The Syndicate (Eddie Chandler, Nate Johnson, Doc Hammond)

Coming from an ugly performance at TCW Battleground III in the five versus five elimination match, Chance Fortune and Darryll Devine apologized to Aaron Andrews and Troy Tornado, agreeing in teaming up once again with last one against The Syndicate members: Eddie Chandler, Nate Johnson and Doc Hammond. The heels have a better momentum and, with leader Wolf Hawkins targeting the World title in the main event, they for sure want this win badly.

NXT in LINE (Jay Chord, Greg Gauge) vs Party Lovers (Edd Stone, Danny Fonzarelli)

Some tag team action here at TCW Total Mayhem XXIV as the Party Lovers, Edd Stone and Danny Fonzarelli, team up against two members of the NXT in LINE, Jay Chord and TCW Television champ Greg Gauge. Edd Stone missed the opportunity to win the TV champ a week ago, being mocked by the NXT in LINE after the show. Now, Edd Stone comes for revenge alongside “Dr. Love” Danny Fonzarelli.

TCW World Tag Titles: The Behemots © (Killer Shark, Titan) vs Human Army (Human Arsenal, One Man Army)

3-time and current tag champs Killer Shark and Titan have held the title belts for almost 250 days, but lately suffered a bad loss at TCW Battleground III in a four versus four match alongside Eddie Peak and “Nasty” Nick Booth, against Mighty Meaty and Human Army. Due to this, Human Arsenal and One Man Army earned a title shot for the tag team championships for TCW Total Mayhem XXIV. Will this be the end of The Behemots’ reign? Or will the Human Army lose the battle?

TCW International Title: Joshua Taylor © vs Kozue Kawashima

Straight from the open world, another must-watched one versus one. Joshua Taylor holds the International Title, brought back after the official alliance with PGHW, and lately threw some shots at the puroresu company, claiming that NOBODY was on his level after defeating Chojiro Kitoaji and Bussho Makiguchi. This may have woken up the wrong person, as PGHW legend Kozue Kawashima stepped up to challenge the champ. The 3-time PGHW Glory Crown champ and 3-time PGHW Elite Series winner is not in attendance here at the Press Conference, but delivered a short, decisive promo via satellite. Joshua Taylor seems like he knows that defeating his challenger will be really tough. Who’s gonna get the W?

Mighty Mo vs Eddie Peak

A match full of hatred between Mighty Mo and Sinner Society’s leader Eddie Peak. The “Hardcore Assassin” injured Tana The Mighty some months ago, starting to feud with Tana’s friend Mighty Mo, who has a pretty nice momentum. In the first one versus one at TCW The War To Settle The Score 2020, Eddie Peak took a tainted win helped by his Sinner Society. Last week at TCW Battleground III Mighty Mo defeated the entire Sinner Society alongside Tana and the Human Army. Now, Mo and Peak will crash once again in a single bout where The Sinner Society and every other wrestler is BANNED from ringside. No interferences, no distractions: it’s “The Mighty against the “Hardcore Assassin”, may the best man win.

TCW World Heavyweight Title: Aaron Andrews © vs Wolf Hawkins

It all comes down to this! World Champ Aaron “Ace” Andrews won the big belt back in July 2019 from Wolf Hawkins. Since then, the leader of The Syndicate has been on a roll, also winning the King of Kings. After months and months of rivalry, the final match-up is set for the biggest stage in TCW: TOTAL MAYHEM! The Main Event belongs to them, The Ace vs The Wolf for the World Heavyweight title.

TCW Total Mayhem XXIV

Held in front of 11,906 people in Dallas, TX

Most Hated vs Sammy Bach, American Cobras, Benny Benson & The Foxx

The opener is a wild brawl that turns out to be a decent match. Freddy Huggins, Marc Speed and Matt Hocking have been joined by Prime Time Jack Pryde and Roderick Remus, debuting a new faction name: the MOST HATED. Still, no fortune for them as today the W goes to the babyface team composed by Sammy Bach, American Cobras, Benny Benson & The Foxx. Benny Benson scores the pin on Roderick Remus after his Shockwave from Next Year. This match gets the show off to a strong start. [65]

AzbnjIJ.pngAzbnjIJ.png

TCW World Tag Titles: The Behemots © (Killer Shark, Titan) vs Human Army (Human Arsenal, One Man Army)

The second match of the night sees The Behemots defending their 250+ days title reign against a fresh new team merged in recent months, the Human Army. In a bout that has great heat from the crowd and good wrestling delivered bu the workers, Human Army defeat The Behemots in 14 mins after One Man Army pins Titan with his finisher: the Guide Missile. Human Army are the new TCW World Tag Team Champs! Killer Shark and Titan had a great dominating run with these titles, but now their time has come to an end. [74]

NXT in LINE (Jay Chord, Greg Gauge) vs Party Lovers (Edd Stone, Danny Fonzarelli)

Superb, absolutely superb match delivered by the NXT in LINE and Party Lovers. Danny Fonzarelli and Edd Stone prove to be a tough match-up for Television champ Greg Gauge and Jay Chord, but eventually Chord himself is able to end the bout, pinning “Dr. Love” Danny Fonzarelli with a Cradle Piledriver after 15 mins. Still, the bout has been really entertaining and may end up being the match of the night. [88]

With a Texas Brawl open challenge awaiting, the fans turn out to be quite disappointed finding out that DDD’s opponent is Maverick, thinking more about a debuting face.

Texas Brawl: Dazzling Dave Diamond vs Maverick

The Texas Brawl features a multiple weapons that have been used by both Maverick and Dazzling Dave Diamond. In a bout that has good heat and decent wrestling, after 13 mins of total mayhem indeed, Triple D seems destined to win the bout, preparing his Dazzle Driver after hitting a Diamond Mine … BUT SOMEONE APPEARS IN THE RING! The unknown muscular big heavyweight block Dazzling dave Diamond with a rope and starts to choke him out with it! After few seconds without breathing, DDD passes out, ending up being pinned by Maverick after his Tiger Claw DDT. No disqualification, anything goes … including an interference like this one. Maverick wins the match and celebrates covered by boos from the crowd. It looks like the Maverick has founded a new allied in this TEXAS HANGMAN. [69]

Mighty Mo vs Eddie Peak

Vendetta is awaiting in this one: no Sinner Society, no Tana The Mighty. Everyone is BANNED from ringside, this comes down to a pure single match between Eddie Peak and Mighty Mo. In a suberp match, Mighty Mo finally “settle the score” with Eddie Peak, after losing the first time in a tainted way at TCW The War To Settle The Score 2020. In fact, in this bout that lasted 17 mins, Mighty Mo pins Sinner Society’s leader Eddie Peak by pinfall, after his Plunging Spinebuster! It this gonna be the end of the rivalry between Mighty Mo and Eddie Peak? [81]

Troy Tornado, Devine Fortune (Chance Fortune, Darryll Devine) vs The Syndicate (Eddie Chandler, Nate Johnson, Doc Hammond)

A three versus three match planned for bringing the fans back down a little, before delivering the two final matches of the night. The Elite (Nate Johnson, Eddie Chandler) have been feuding with Chance Fortune and Darryl Devine for awhile now, while Troy Tornado obviously has collided a lot with the entire Syndicate. With Aaron Andrews versus Wolf Hawkins still to come, their respective allies crash in this trios match that ends up with Troy Tornado pinning Eddue Chandler with a Star Maker. [61]

y2fXYY8.png

TCW International Title: Joshua Taylor © vs Kozue Kawashima

Coming from the Open World, the TCW International Title is on the line: champ Joshua Taylor defends his championship from the assault of PGHW Ace Kozue Kawashima! In a long bout that has good wrestling and a decent reaction from the crowd, the US-Japan different styles mix up pretty nice. After 25 mins, Joshua Taylor seems to having the win in his pocket, going for his Butterfly Lock, but Kozue Kawashima reverses it and ends up in position for his finishing move: KAWASHIMA DRIVER 2005! Kozue Kawashima connects his finisher and scores the pin: 1! 2! 3! We have a new International champ, and this time is under PGHW’s ranks. [72]

PHmVoWw.png

TCW World Heavyweight Title: Aaron Andrews © vs Wolf Hawkins

The Main Event of our Season Finale is upon us! After feuding for months and months, “The Ace” and “The Wolf” are ready for this resolutive bout for the TCW World Heavyweight championship. In an exceptional match that lasted for a solid 24 mins, Aaron Andrews defeats Wolf Hawkins! After winning the belt from Syndicate’s leader in July 2019, “The Ace” gets the W once again here at TCW Total Mayhem XXIV after his Flying Body Press, making defence number six of the big belt. After the match, Wolf Hawkins remains seated at ringside, disappointed by his loss, while Aaron Andrews raises the TCW World Heavyweight title at the centre of the squared circle, with confettis falling all over the arena. [82]

Press Conference

TCW Open World: Japan

For the first time ever, TCW will host an Event live from Japan, available only on TCW's own broadcaster: TCW-world.

TCW Open World: Japan, is the perfect chance to promote the company in the eastern market.

The event features a lot of PGHW workers and some free agents from Japan!

Edd Stone vs Shingen Miyazaki

Shingen Miyazaki is a very solid Japanese wrestler with a past in Canada where he learned his craft from the Stone family. With the Open World unleashed and this TCW Event in Japan, the opportunity knocks on the door to have a one versus one match between the 2004 NOTBPW Young Lion and Stone family member Edd Stone. A respectful, single bout to honor the legacy of the Stones, something that Edd Stone himself put in danger years ago due to his former egomaniac attitude.

Mr Lucha III vs Simon Flemmingway

Manager Vinny Cruz moved the strings for his client, Mr. Lucha III, and found a match for this Open World event in Japan. Mr. Lucha III is the nephew of the original Mr. Lucha and he's managed to single-handedly make the character mean something again. A long-time stalwart of OLLIE, he left in early 2020 to join TCW, a bigger stage that OLLIE can’t provide. His opponent will be Simon Flemmingway, an experienced American wrestler who has spent almost his entire career in Japan and right now is a solid member of the PGHW midcard, respected by everyone in the company.

The American Cobras (Malloy, Spillane), KitoGuchi (Kitoaji, Makiguchi) vs Most Hated (Huggins, Speed, Hocking, Remus)

The Most Hated faction, featuring Freddy Huggins, Marc Speed, Matt Hocking and Roderick Remus, mocked Japan and the Japanese puroresu in the past weeks heading to this Event. This obviously led to some bitterness from PGHW workers, especially Chojiro Kitoaji and Bussho Makiguchi. Freddy Huggins had to humble them , replying to “KitoGuchi” that, in the past, they only received defeats when battling TCW stars. After the escalation the American Cobras, Marvel Malloy and Storm Spillane, aligned themselves with the PGHW tag team against the Most Hated, leading to a four versus four match announced.

Sinner Society (Peak, Killer Shark, Titan, Booth) vs Mighty Meaty, Beast & West

The rivalry between Mighty Mo and Eddie Peak continues even in the east, as the entire Sinner Society is set to clash once again versus Mo himself and Tana The Mighty. This time, the Mighty Meaty called for reinforcements from PGHW and a couple of titans answered the call: the canadians Mighty Cavanagh and Tim Westybrook. With physical superiority on their side, the babyfaces seem to be the favourites, let’s see if the Sinner Society may get a W against all odds.

NXT in LINE (Greg Gauge, Jay Chord, Joshua Taylor) vs Kozue Kawashima, Masaru Ugaki, Rejiro Hiraki

Coming from a title loss at TCW Total Mayhem XXIV, Joshua Taylor looking for revenge against new TCW International champ Kozue Kawashima. This time, the PGHW Ace is joined by his rival Masaru Ugaki, who stands with him only to represent PGHW fiercely, and Rejiro Hiraki, the talented japanese junior heavyweight who joined TCW a couple of months ago. Meanwhile, Joshua Taylor will compete alongisde other NXT in LINE’s members: Jay Chord and Television champ Greg Gauge. This three versus three match appears to be a show stealer!

TCW World Heavyweight Title: Aaron Andrews © vs Hiroyasu Gakusha

Heading to Japan, TCW World Heavyweight champ Aaron Andrews announced his desire to defend the big belt of the company during the japanese tour. A couple of days ago, Total Championship Wrestling found a challenger for “The Ace”, Hiroyasu Gakusha! The japanese was one of GCG's crown jewels and four-time GCG World Heavyweight champion, a 'triple crown' winner, and was inducted into the hall of fame. After two and half years spent with BHOTWG, Hiroyasu Gakusha is now a free agent, and what a game changer it will be for him to score the pin against Aaron Andrews and win the world title belt.

CARD FOR PREVISIONS:

TCW Open World: Japan

Held in front of 128 people in Ibaraki Community Hall (Kanto)

Edd Stone vs Shingen Miyazaki

The opener features the single match to honor the legacy of the canadian Stone Family. In a bout that has decent wrestling, Edd Stone takes home the W, defeating hometown wrestler Shingen Miyazaki in 20 mins after his Party’s Over. After the match, Edd Stone and Shingen Miyazaki shake hands as a sign of respect. [60]

Mr Lucha III vs Simon Flemmingway

Another singles match featuring a PGHW worker, the american Simon Flemmingway, and a member of the TCW’s roster. In a bout that has decent wrestling, Mr. Lucha III defeats his opponent in 15 mins by pinfall with a Third Strike. During the match, manager Vinny Cruz distracts Flemmingway, opening the door for Mr. Lucha’s finisher. [44]

The American Cobras (Malloy, Spillane), KitoGuchi (Kitoaji, Makiguchi) vs Most Hated (Huggins, Speed, Hocking, Remus)

It’s now time for some multiman match! Chojiro Kitoaji and Bussho Makiguchi, joined by Storm Spillane and Marvel Malloy (aka The American Cobras), go against the Most Hated (Freddy Huggins, Marc Speed, Matt Hocking, Roderick Remus) and their big mouths. In a bout that has decent wrestling, the American Cobras and KitoGuchi defeats Most Hated in 19 mins when Storm Spillane submits the arrogant Roderick Remus witha Kneeling Boston Crab. [55]

Sinner Society (Peak, Killer Shark, Titan, Booth) vs Mighty Meaty, Beast & West

Another four versus four match, this time featuring the entire Sinner Society, led by Eddie Peak, and the babyface team of Mighty Mo and three big heavyweights: Tana The Mighty, Mighty Cavanagh and Tim Westybrook. Sinner Society suffers quite a lot during the match, but eventually their ferocity and chemistry lead them to a win. After 17 mins, Eddie Peak scores the pin on Tana The Mighty with a Peak of Perfection. [61]

NXT in LINE (Greg Gauge, Jay Chord, Joshua Taylor) vs Kozue Kawashima, Masaru Ugaki, Rejiro Hiraki

In a match that has great wrestling and a decent reaction from the crowd, the NXT in LINE (Greg Gauge, Jay Chord, Joshua Taylor) battle up against International champ Kozue Kawashima, PGHW’s Masaru Ugaki and TCW’s own Reijiro Hiraki. A good bout that, after 24 mins, sees Joshua Taylor submitting Reijiro Hiraki with a Butterfly Lock. After the bell, Joshua Taylor doesn’t let go his opponent and keeps applying pressure with his submission, being stopped only by the intervention of Kozue Kawashima. [77]

ldbfHw7.png

TCW World Heavyweight Title: Aaron Andrews © vs Hiroyasu Gakusha

In the Main Event, Aaron Andrews successfully defends his TCW World Heavyweight championship from the assault of the GCG Hall of Famer Hiroyasu Gakusha. Unfortunately, “The Ace” has to carry the match all by himself in the second part of the match, as Gakusha suffers a Dislocated Shoulder injury during the bout. Nice performance by Aaron Andrews who seals the deal with his Flying Body Press to retain the gold. With “The Ace” raising his world title at the centre of the ring, TCW says goodbye to Japan! TCW Where Angels Fear To Tread 2020

Bart Biggins vs Wolf Hawkins

Bart Biggins didn’t have his best year in 2019, being stucked in the midcard for too long. 2020 didn’t start in a better way, as he suffered an injury in the first couple of months. Now finally at 100% physically, Bart Biggins challenged Wolf Hawkins, eager to get a big W over one of the major stars in TCW. The leader of The Syndicate is obviously coming from a tough loss at the season finale, TCW Total Mayhem XXIV, against Aaron Andrews. Let’s see if “The Wolf” will come back with the correct attitude, or if the recent loss has left a mark in his morale and performances.

Joshua Taylor vs Reijiro Hiraki

Coming from TCW Open World: Japan, Reijiro Hiraki teamed up with Kozue Kawashima and Masaru Ugaki in a loss against the NXT in LINE. Hiraki was the one submitted by Joshua Taylor during the bout, with the “Straight Edge Star” who kept the pressure on his submission way after the bell ring, releasing all his frustration at losing the TCW International Title. Now that Kawashima and his International championship are still in Japan, Joshua Taylor is back in the US, ready to fight in singles action against the former BHOTWG junior heavyweight: Reijiro Hiraki.

Dazzling Dave Diamond vs Texas Hangman

After what happened at TCW Total Mayhem XXIV, where Texas Hangman made his debuting and helping Maverick, Dazzling Dave Diamond gets his shot to battle up with the texan heavyweight. Clearly looking for revenge, Triple D will need a great performance to gets the W against the Texas Hangman, accompanied to the ring by his veteran guide Maverick.

Human Army Machine (Dean Daniels, Human Arsenal, One Man Army) vs Sinner Society (Killer Shark, Titan, Nick Booth)

The new TCW World Tag Team champs Human Arsenal and One Man Army join forces with the veteran Dean “Machine” Daniels, forming the trio called Human Army Machine. Their opponents are three members of the Sinner Society: former champs Killer Shark and Titan, and “Nasty” Nick Booth. The Behemots will definitely try to score a pin on Human Arsenal or One Man Army.

Party Lovers (Danny Fonzarelli, Edd Stone) vs Most Hated (Freddy Huggins, Roderick Remus)

A tag team match built around the never-ending rivalry between former partners Edd Stone and Freddy Huggins. That arrogant jerk of Freddy Huggins made some comments about Edd Stone’s match at TCW Open World: Japan, mocking him and the Stone Family. “The 24H Party Animal” replied to Freddy Huggins, telling that he’s not even worthy to talk about the Stones legacy and proposing a match at TCW Where Angels Fear to Tread 2020 to kick Huggins’ ass. This led to the announcement of a two versus two, with “Dr. Love” Danny Fonzarelli and Roderick Remus as their respective partners.

Hardcore Match: Eddie Peak vs Mighty Mo

The final act in Eddie Peak and Mighty Mo rivalry. It all started in January 2020, when “The Hardcore Assassin” injured Tana The Mighty and attempted to do the same to Mo himself. Throughout the previous months, Eddie Peak and Mighty Mo tied the score and now are 1-1 in singles match, with Mo who won the big match at TCW Total Mayhem XXIV. This massive loss motivated “The Hardcore Assassin” who challenged Mighty Mo to a decisive hardcore match.

World Heavyweight Title: Aaron Andrews © vs Troy Tornado

In the past months, Troy Tornado helped different times Aaron Andrews in his rivalry against Wolf Hawkins and The Syndicate. After some times of diffidence, “The Ace” finally started to trust Tornado, even asking him for forgiveness for the initial mistrust. And with the desire of challenging new contenders to his world title, Aaron Andrews asked for this match. What an opportunity for Troy Tornado, who never won the big belt in TCW in the last, despite having been one of the hottest star in the company. May this be his night? Let’s find out in few weeks at TCW Where Angels Fear to Tread 2020!

CARD FOR PREVISIONS:

Bart Biggins vs Wolf Hawkins

Joshua Taylor vs Reijiro Hiraki

Dazzling Dave Diamond vs Texas Hangman

I've pretty much gone for the most popular workers, and in the more even midcard matches I prefer the heels (Huggins and Remus could be a great team. If Triple D is in the way out, quite happy for Texas Hangman to push him out of the door.

TCW Where Angels Fear To Tread 2020

Held in front of 11,824 people in the new BriCo Center (San Antonio, TX)

Before the show, Chance Fortune hasn’t been that “lucky”, sustaining a broken neck during a five versus five match. Unfortunately, Fortune is going to be out for at least an year to recovery. Wishing him a speed recovery!

Bart Biggins vs Wolf Hawkins

The opener of the show, the first going live from the new fantastic venue: the BriCo Center, features a bout with fantastic heat and great wrestling. Bart Biggins fights a great match, willing to take a W that will be huge for him and may lead him out of the midcard. After 18 mins of a well-balanced contest, Wolf Hawkins simply shows the world that he’s the better man in the ring, ending his opponent with a Full Moon Rising for the decisive pinfall. After the match, “The Wolf” quietly return backstage, tried to being cheered by his Syndicate’s partners: Eddie Chandler, Nate Johnson, Chris Flynn and Doc Hammond. The loss in the main event of Total Mayhem is still a big wound for Wolf Hawkins, but at least his performance tonight shows that he didn’t lost his fire. [78]

In a segment backstage, before Joshua Taylor’s match, the entire NXT in LINE talk about the upcoming TCW Event: TCW Total Rumble 1! A new special show that will take place inside the BriCo Center in San Antonio, Texas, in few weeks. And as the name may suggest, we will witness the first ever Total Rumble match: a lottery Battle Royal in which a 20 wrestlers aim at eliminating their competitors by tossing them over the top rope, with both feet touching the floor. TCW Television champ Greg Gauge, Jay Chord and Joshua Taylor claim that one of them will walk out as the Total Rumble winner, earning a title shot for TCW Summer Showdown 2020!

Joshua Taylor vs Reijiro Hiraki

After submitting Reijiro Hiraki in a three versus three match at TCW Open World: Japan, Joshua Taylor does it again in this contest, submitting the Japanese with the lethal Butterfly Lock after a decent bout that lasted 20 min. After the bell, Taylor keeps the pressure for a few seconds, before leaving his opponent down on the mat. Greg Gauge and Jay Chord, who witnessed the match ringside, enter the ring to cheer their friend and mock Reijiro Hiraki. Covered by boos by the people in attendance, the NXT in LINE don’t seem bothered. Their momentum is red hot right now and a big opportunity is coming soon, at TCW Total Rumble 1 … a SOLO opportunity though. [74]

Dazzling Dave Diamond vs Texas Hangman

Accompanied by a facepaint-less Maverick, Texas Hangman clashes with Dazzling Dave Diamond in this one versus one contest. In a 14-min match that has decent reaction from the crowd but sub par wrestling, we witness a disqualification! Building his momentum, Dazzling Dave Diamond is interrupted by Maverick who climbs the apron. Triple D goes face-to-face with him, and Maverick viciously delivers and headbutt to Diamond’s chest: IT’S A DQ! After the bell, Maverick enters the ring and keeps beating down Dazzling Dave Diamond alongside Texas Hangman, who also chokes Triple D with his rope. [54]

Human Army Machine (Dean Daniels, Human Arsenal, One Man Army vs Sinner Society (Killer Shark, Titan, Nick Booth)

The Human Army Machine trios goes in battle against the Sinner Society members: former champs Killer Shark and Titan, and “Nasty” Nick Booth. In a bout that has good heat and decent wrestling, Killer Shark scores the pin on Dean “The Machine” Daniels with a Big Bite, after 18 mins. No pins on the actual Tag Team champs, but still an important win for Sinner Society and particularly for The Behemots, who clearly want a rematch for the tag golds. A staredown between them and the Human Army seems like a good omen for this wish. [70]

In a segment backstage, Sammy Bach talks about TCW Total Rumble 1 and specifically about the Total Rumble Match. “The Rock Star” hypes the event a little bit, claiming that he will fight through other 19 participants to get the win! Sammy Bach improvises well during the segment.

Party Lovers (Danny Fonzarelli, Edd Stone) vs Most Hated (Freddy Huggins, Roderick Remus)

A tag team match built around the never-ending rivalry between former partners Edd Stone and Freddy Huggins. In a bout that has good heat and decent wrestling, Freddy Huggins and Roderick Remus, representing the Most Hated, defeat Party Lovers in 19 mins when Freddy Huggins pins “Dr. Love” Danny Fonzarelli with a Huggins Kiss. After the match, Huggins celebrates in the ring alongside Roderick Remus, Laura Catherine Huggins, Marc Speed, Matt Hocking and Prime Time Jack Pryde. [68]

Hardcore Match: Eddie Peak vs Mighty Mo

The following match is the playground of the “Hardcore Assassin” Eddie Peak, who demanded this Hardcore Match to end his rivalry with Mighty Mo. Eddie Peak arrived to the stage with his Sinner Society, before ordering to all of them to leave him alone in this fight. Mighty Mo too arrives alone to the ring, ready to fight man versus man in a cruel match. In a bout that has fantastic heat and good wrestling, that obviously features a lot of foreign objects, Mighty Mo comes out on top, defeating Eddie peak in 21 mins by pinfall after hitting a Plunging Spinebuster through a table. Mighty Mo wins the war, the rivalry, and probably the most important match of his promising career. [74]

World Heavyweight Title: Aaron Andrews © vs Troy Tornado

And now it’s time for the main event! A match requested by the world champ for the world title: Aaron Andrews versus Troy Tornado in a bout that has fantastic heat and great wrestling. The match is really open, and the challenger has a couple of chances to really score the pin and finally win his first TCW World Title. Still, Troy Tornado fails to connect the Star Maker a couple of times and that's really seal the deal, as Aaron Andrews eventually pins him after his Flying Body Press, after solid 22 mins. Great celebration for "The Ace" after the match who also asks for an handshake. A moment of hesitation from Troy Tornado, who then shakes his hand and gives props to the world champ. REIGN OF "THE ACE" CONTINUES! [80]

Press Conference

TCW Total Rumble 1

TCW owner Kyle Rhodes welcomes everyone to the Press Conference for tonight.

5-Tag Wildcard Rumble (winners join Total Rumble Match)

This bout is strictly linked to the Total Rumble match, with the last team in the match who will clinch a spot in the main event later on. Marc Speed and Matt Hocking, knowing as Speed Shock, show a cocky attitude and mock every other tag in the match, claiming that they will join friend Freddy Huggins in the Total Rumble. The Party Lovers, Edd Stone and Danny Fonzarelli, show a positive mood, reflecting on how much they want to reach the main event. Similar to them, Benny Benson and Flying Jimmy Fox tell to the press how important will be to clinch a spot in the first ever Total Rumble match. The Elite, Nate Johnson and Eddie Chandler, aren’t in a good mood, claiming that they feel disrespected by the fact that they have to earn a spot in the main event: they are The Elite! The Syndicate! Still, they will win the bout for sure. The 5th team is The Heartbeat Express, Jimmy Needham and Ralph Liotta, coming straight from MAW to replace The American Cobras, as Storm Spillane sustained a Torn Achilles that will sideline him for an year. The Heartbeat Express talk about the incredible opportunity and thanks TCW, before being interrupted and bullied by Speed Shock. Some tensions between the five tag teams, only one of them will enter the Total Rumble!

TCW World Tag Team Titles: Human Army © (Human Arsenal, One Man Army) vs The Behemots (Killer Shark, Titan)

At TCW Total Mayhem XXIV, the Human Army defeat The Behemots to win the TCW World Tag Team Titles and end their 250+ days title reign. A great moment for Human Arsenal and One Man Army in the season finale of TCW. After that, Killer Shark and Titan went hunting, trying to regain “their” championships. At the last event, The Behemots tag with fellow member of Sinner Society, Nick Booth, to defeat Human Army Machine (Human Arsenal, One Man Army and Dean Daniels), regaining some momentum heading to this rematch. The Behemots have a great chance of reclaiming the tag belts, while the Human Army can get off their back some dangerous contenders with another win over them.

TCW World Heavyweight Title: Aaron Andrews © vs Troy Tornado

A rematch of last event TCW Where Angels Fear to Tread 2020, where Aaron Andrews won the bout. Last time, it was “The Ace” himself to ask for a title match against contender Troy Tornado, this time is the veteran challenger who asked for a rematch against the World Champ. Troy Tornado claims to have being so close to win the contest last time, failing to connect the Star Maker. One move away from finally reaching the top of the company, Troy Tornado insists to have this rematch who has been accepted by “Ace” Aaron Andrews. Will the results be different this time? Will Troy Tornado finally win the TCW World Heavyweight Title? Or will he fall again against “The Ace”?

20-man Total Rumble Match

In the Press Conference for the first ever Total Rumble match, only eight participants join the desk to talk about it: NXT in LINE members Jay Chord, Joshua Taylor and TV Champ Greg Gauge; former World Champ and last King of Kings Wolf Hawkins; Sinner Society’s leader Eddie Peak; the arrogant jerk Freddy Huggins; one the hottest wrestler in the company Mighty Mo; “Rock Star” Sammy Bach. Some entertaining words from all eight workers, before ending the Press Conference by announcing even the other 10 participants to the match: Bart Biggins, Dazzling Dave Diamond, Doc Hammond, Elliot Thomas, Maverick, Mr. Lucha III, Reijiro Hiraki, T-Bone Bright, Tana The Mighty and Texas Hangman. Only one sole survivor will remain, only one will win the Total Rumble Match and gain a title shot for the TCW World Heavyweight Title at TCW Summer Showdown 2020. WHO WILL IT BE?

TCW Total Rumble 1

Held in front of 10,964 people in BriCo Center (San Antonio, Texas)

5-Tag Wildcard Rumble

In the opener of the night, we witness a Wildcard Rumble between five tag teams: The Elite (Eddie Chandler, Nate Johnson), Benson & The Foxx, Party Lovers (Edd Stone, Danny Fonzarelli), Speed Shock (Marc Speed, Matt Hocking) and MAW’s tag team The Heartbeat Express (Johnny Needham, Ralph Liotta). The last team remained in the ring, even with just a sole survivor, will clinch a spot in the first ever Total Rumble Match later on. The first two tags who start the match are The Heartbeat Express and Speed Shock. Marc Speed and Matt Hocking mock indie workers Johnny Needham and Ralph Liotta who choose to back up with some fists, almost eliminating both members of the Most Hated who hang on the ropes to save themselves. The Entry #3 is the team of Edd Stone and Danny Fonzarelli, joined ninety seconds later by Benny Benson and Flying Jimmy Foxx (Entry #4). In this 4-way, the first team eliminated is The Heartbeat Express, with both Needham and Liotta who are throwed out respectively by Marc Speed and Matt Hocking. The Elite (Entry #5) make their entrance and eliminate Flying Jimmy Foxx and Matt Hocking. The Party Lovers then eliminate both Eddie Chandler and Nate Johnson, remaining as the only complete tag team in the match. Marc Speed and Benny Benson try to cooperate against them, but eventually gets eliminated. Edd Stone and Danny Fonzarelli are going in the Total Rumble match! [54]

In a couple of segments backstage, Freddy Huggins trash talks nemesis Edd Stone and Danny Fonzarelli after their win in the Wildcard Rumble. Also, Wolf Hawkins and Sammy Bach have an angle backstage, hyping the main event.

TCW World Tag Team Titles: Human Army © (Human Arsenal, One Man Army) vs The Behemots (Killer Shark, Titan)

It’s time for some tag team action, as Tag champs Human Arsenal and One Army defend their championships against former champs Killer Shark and Titan, that they already beat a couple of months ago, winning the TCW World Tag Team Titles at TCW Total Mayhem XXIV. In a bout that has great heat and decent wrestling, Human Army gets the W as Human Arsenal pins Killer Shark with an Ammo Dump, while One Man Army stops Titan’s interference. The Behemots fail their chance to regain the title belts, while Human Army get off their backs one of the most dangerous pairs in the business. The Human Arsenal - One Man Army connection has been great in the first 6 months of TCW’s 2020. [69]

PHmVoWw.png

TCW World Heavyweight Title: Aaron Andrews © vs Troy Tornado

And before the main event, the Total Rumble match, it’s now time for a rematch for the big gold here in TCW: the World Heavyweight Title! In a bout that has fantastic heat and great wrestling, champ Aaron Andrews and challenger Troy Tornado collide in a rematch of TCW Where Angels Fear to Tread 2020. "The Tornado" gets so close to finally win the big belt, being able to hit his Star Maker 20 mins in the bout, but "The Ace" surprisingly kicks out of the finisher. The bout goes on, until Aaron Andrews closes the bout with a new finisher: the Frog Splash! 1! .. 2! .. 3! Aaron Andrews makes defence number nine of the TCW World Heavyweight championship. [72]

Before the main event, TCW airs another couple of segments, one with Mighty Mo and Eddie Peak, while the others with the three members of NXT in LINE. Greg Gauge, Jay Chord and Joshua Taylor can cooperate in the match, but at the end of the day, it's a single competition and eventually only one could go out as the winner.

20-man Total Rumble Match

It’s now time for the first Total Rumble Match with the first two unlucky participants who make their entrances: Dazzling Dave Diamond and Texas Hangman. Destiny puts two rivals one verus one as Entry #1 and Entry #3. The rules are pretty simples, with one additional new entry every 90 seconds and with eliminations over the top rope. The first eliminated is Reijiro Hiraki (Entry #6) by Wolf Hawkins (Entry #4). Maverick (Entry #8) joins forces with Texas Hangman to eliminate rival Dazzling Dave Diamond. The two also eliminate Mighty Mo (Entry #7) who before eliminated Mr. Lucha (Entry #9). Heading into the second part of the bout, T-Bone Bright (Entry #12) impressively eliminate both Maverick and Texas Hangman, before getting eliminated by allies Joshua Taylor (Entry #5) and Greg Gauge (Entry #14). Television champ Greg Gauge also eliminates Sammy Bach (Entry #11) who was one of the favourites to win the Rumble. After cleaning the ring, it comes down to a two versus two between NXT in LINE (Taylor, Chord) and The Syndicate (Hawkins, Hammond) before Tana The Mighty (Entry #16) arrives. The giant enters and eliminates Joshua Taylor! But right after that, Greg Gauge blindsides him, throwing him off the ring. Edd Stone (Entry #17), Eddie Peak (Entry #18) and Jay Chord (Entry #19) enter the match, with Edd Stone who eliminates Doc Hammond. Wolf Hawkins continues to add to his incredible performance, eliminating also Greg Gauge, before the last wrestler makes his entrance Freddy Huggins (Entry #20) and eliminates former partner and current nemesis Edd Stone. The final four for this match is set: Wolf Hawkins (Entry #4), and more freshed Eddie Peak (Entry #18), Jay Chord (Entry #19) and Freddy Huggins (Entry #20). The arrogant Huggins becomes too cocky and gets eventually eliminated by Wolf Hawkins, who then eliminates also Sinner Society leader Eddie Peak, who didn’t perform has expected. With the last two survivors still in the ring, it’s Jay Chord to get the W, eliminating an exhausted Wolf Hawkins who has the most eliminations with a total of six. Jay Chord makes this single elimination to win the first ever Total Rumble and gain a title shot for the TCW World Heavyweight title at TCW Summer Showdown 2020. And with confetti falling all over the BriCo Center, Jay Chord celebrates high from the corner. [77]
