WWE (2022) A New Era

WWE RAW

3,600 @ FOxwoods Resort Casino

Cody Opens the Show

- Cody: It hasn't escaped my attention just how often uninvited wrestlers -- NON-CONTRACTED Wrestlers -- have been appearing on RAW lately, interrupting matches and making a damn nuisence of themselves.

- Cody: So I've put in place some 'special measures' that will hopefully help enforce the rules and protect RAW going forward. Our main events will no longer be ruined by Edge and his gang.

(rating: 50)

The Bloodline make an appearance

- All of The Bloodline make their way to the ring

- Reigns: A man takes a well deserved rest, to contemplate his next conquest and reflect on defeating John Cena -- taking his career away from him. And the cats come out to play. The Usos are put into matches they weren't told about and lose their titles. You think I'm just going to sit back and let that go, you really believe that isn't going to make my blood boil.

-Regins: So let this be notice; give The Usos their titles back or I never show up on RAW or Smackdown again. Hell, I might even walk through some Forbidden Doors.

(rating: 61)

Cody reveals the special measures

- Cody's music plays and he appears at the top of the ramp

- Cody: Look, I get it, I do. But there are no such things as rematch clauses anymore. If The Usos want a chance to reclaim the titles they can earn it like everyone else. They can even do that tonight -- if Jimmy Uso can beat Kofi Kingston, I'll give him a title shot next week.

- Cody: But, he'll do it 1 on 1. I'm very confident that it will remain 1 on 1 with the newly appointed special measures... ladies and gentlemen the RAW Enforcer... Bill Goldberg!

- Goldberg comes out and stands next to Cody. He's dressed in black trousers, but still has his grappling gloves on.

- After the match the three members of The Imperium lay a beating on Dominik Mysterio before finally shoving him out of the ring with their feet

(rating: 50)

The Imperium

- Ludwig: Is this really the best American Professional Wrestling has to offer us? We are the creme of Europe; Gunther is a ring general... and you put him up against the little boy of a little man who no longer has is Daddy's hand to hold.

- Ludwig: We want a real challenge. Show us what you've got.

(rating: 47)

- Priest: Orton got bitch slapped

(rating: 59)

(rating: 52)

Titus approaches Gable

- Titus: Hey, so... you ready to become the next PRIME TIME PLAYERS?!

- Apollo: I think we need a little more time, y'know. My man here is a mountain of a wrestler, he's 22 years old, he's the US Champion. Every week we see some fool jumping out of the crowd attacking people they don't like. That's why we got together - to watch each other's back.

- Titus: I get that

- Apollo: Going around calling ourselves the Prime Time Players... just feels like asking for fools to step up. Just let us think.

(rating: 64)

- Wait, Alexa Bliss makes her way to the ring

- Alexa: I know you're here. I saw your face last week. I hear your song... and I hear her laugh.

(rating: 72)

Lights Go Out

- Bray Wyatt is here!

- There's a long silence from Wyatt as he stands in the ring looking at Alexa Bliss

- Bray: There's not much I'm sure about right now, the way the birds tweet, or the moon turns red bringing the news that Devil Dog himself is dead, but what I do know -- is you.

- Bray: I don't know if I'm Bray Wyatt, Windham, The Fiend... but I do know... you. You're the poor woman who listened to the Devil Dog, listened to his twisted howls and his late night barking and believed.

- Bray: I was dragged down into the Devil Dog's hells, had my flesh gnawed to the bone with jibes and teeth. And when I opened my eyes... I saw you. I saw you betray Lilly, just like you betrayed me. I saw you... throw her away. I saw you... becoming what the devil dog wanted you to become. The glitzy, sparkle queen -- that ain't you. I know you more than I know what I am right now.

- He puts Alexa into Sister Abigail!!

- Bray: ... but I forgive you.

- Bray let's Alexa loose

- Bray: But I forgive you and I need you to forgive yourself for listening to the Devil Dog's whines.

- He holds out his hand to help Alexa back up

- Bray: Come with me, sweet lilly... I have such sights to show you. Let us... rebuild.

- Ziggler: Hey, you've been on a rotten run lately. How about we work together and regain the spotlight that is rightfully ours -- You're THE MIZ and I'm the human highlight reel!

- The Miz: You know... you're right. We're the biggest stars in the WWE. Talented in the ring and more charisma than anyone else in the history of this business.

- Ziggler: I've already got a match set up...

(rating: 29)

Shirai unhappy with Ronda

- Shirai is in the ring

- Shirai: Ronda Rousey... what you did to Asuka last week was a disgrace. Taking your anger out on another wrestler, is not the sign of a worthy champion

- Shirai: You want people to talk about you? Well congratulations, we're all taking about how much of a asshole you are

- Ronda appears at the entrance way

- Ronda: Sounds to me like you want to experience just how much of an asshole I can be

- Ronda makes her way to the ring

(rating: 64)

Io Shirai vs. Ronda Rousey

(rating: 65)

Meanwhile in the GM's Office...

- Stephanie McMahon: Bret I understand your frusrations, but the decison to hire Bill Goldberg to RAW was the WWE Board of Directors'

- Stephanie: You've been doing such a great job on Smackdown, we have no concerns, you're delivering just what you said you would. Sadly, the same can't be said about RAW

- Stephanie: The WWE Board of Directors felt that people weren't respecting Cody's decisions due to his current injury, so they hired Bill Goldberg to be his enforcer

- Bret: Hey, I wouldn't want Bill Goldberg on Smackdown... but Bray Wyatt? That's what I'm frustrated about, that guy is one of the most captivating wrestlers around. That's the kind of wrestler I'd want on Smackdown

- Stephanie: Oh, I see. Bray Wyatt is currently a free agent, so the Board of Directors and I will have to decide how best to handle that situation

- Stephanie: In all honesty we thought Alexa Bliss had relapsed when she was telling us she had seen things, so Bray's return was unexpected

(rating: 64)

America Sucks. Here's Why

- Bulls on Parade plays

- Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens make their way to the ring

- Sami: So tonight the AJ STYLES, AMERICA'S PHENONMENAL ONE, wants to set things straight in the ring. With violence. Sure.

- Kevin: Once again reinforcing our opinion that America SUCKS. Let's look at RAW for a moment, let's look at how a poor defenseless child has been abandoned by his father.

- A clip shows Dominik Mysterio getting beaten by The Imperium

- Sami: I don't know about you, Kevin, but if that was my child, I'd have moved heaven and earth to protect them

- Kevin: Of course, buddy, but we're Canadians, we have family values we believe in

- Sami: American family values? Nothing but lip service and child support payments

- Kevin: It's sad but true. The United States of America is a mess. All you people here tonight know this, its why you're booing. You're not booing us, you're booing your own guilt and shame. So keep booing. Maybe eventually you'll feel like you've absolved yourself of blame.

(rating: 64)

Drew McIntyre is in the Ring

- McIntyre: So what is it -- Edge, Finn... you going to stop hiding around the backstage areas and step into this ring?

- Edge's music plays and appears alone

- Edge: Oh, we'll step into the ring when we're ready. Don't you worry about that

- McIntyre begins to leave the ring

- Edge: ah ah, that's far enough. I have a special guest tonight I'd like to bring out. Someone you've all forgotten about... someone that was one a close friend of yours. Someone that was part of your band. Someone that worked hard and endlessly for little reward other than being able to feed his own kids...

- Heath Slater is dragged out by Finn Balor and Braun. Heath looks badly beaten already.

- Edge: Oh, what's the matter, McIntyre. Is it hard to come face-to-face with the ghosts of the past, the ghosts you created by leaving them behind to chase your own glory? That little story of yours last week was heart warming, how you battled to regain your place in the WWE, but you left the part out where you abandoned Heath Slater behind. So, we thought we drag him back here for you to see.

(rating: 56)

Randy Orton vs. Mace

In a bout that had good heat and decent wrestling, Randy Orton defeated MACE in 11:43 by pinfall with a Running Punt to the Head.

(rating: 74)

McIntyre asks for a Match

- McIntyre: Bret, you've got to sanction a match between me and Edge or Finn.

- Bret: I can sanction one, but is this what you really want. You know they're going to come at you with more than they show.

- McIntyre: I don't care, man. I thought I was over how I left Heath behind but what Edge did tonight... nah, man, I need to do this

(rating: 67)

AJ Styles vs. Sami Zayn

In a bout that had fantastic heat and decent wrestling, AJ Styles defeated Sami Zayn in 15:43 by pinfall with a Phenomenal Forearm.

September 2022

- Let's have a look back at August and the huge changes within the WWE since Vince McMahon's depature in July

- RAW and Smackdown have drafted their new rosters

- RAW's top stars right now are: Becky Lynch, Seth Rollins, Bobby Lynch, Logan Paul and Bianca Belair

- Smackdown's top stars right now are: AJ Styles, Asuka, Drew McIntyre and Randy Orton

WWE's top merchendise shifters at the moment are:

#1 Becky Lynch (RAW)

#2 Logan Paul (RAW)

#3 John Cena (N/A)

#4 Randy Orton (Smackdown)

#5 Roman Reigns (N/A)

#6 Ronda Rousey (Smackdown)

#7 Brock Lesnar (N/A)

#8 Rey Mysterio (Smackdown)

#9 Bobby Lashley (RAW)

#10 Shinsuke Nakamura (Smackdown)

- If I was to compared the two shows, I'd put Smackdown ahead at the moment. RAW has been chaotic, while Smackdown has achieved what Bret Hart said he'd do

- The shakeup has cost WWE a lot of momentum, which they're only starting to regain

- This has allowed AEW to become the #1 wrestling show in the US based on viewers

- WWE still the #1 wrestling promotion world wide

- It's clear now that HHH is in charge of booking

- John Cena lost in a Career v Title Match against Roman Reigns

- The hottest storyline within WWE right now is on Smackdown, where Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens have been proclaiming America Sucks

WWE Champions

WWE Champion - Roman Reigns

WWE Universal Champion - Roman Reigns

WWE Smackdown Women's Champion - VACANT

WWE RAW Women's Champion - Bianca Belair

WWE MITB 2022 Winner - Bobby Lashley

WWE Women MITB 2022 Winner - Becky Lynch

WWE Intercontinental Champion - Shinsuke Nakamura

WWE United States Champion - Gable Steveson

WWE World Tag Team Champions - Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods (The New Day)

WWE Women's Tag Team Champions - VACANT

NXT Champions

NXT Champion - Rex Steiner

NXT Women's Champion - Wendy Choo

NXT North American Champion - Carmelo Hayes

NXT Tag Team Champions - Burtus & Julius Creed

NXT Women's Tag Team Champions - Katana Chance & Kayden Carter

- There's still some chaos with the title situation in the WWE, mainly due to Roman Reigns' domination of both the WWE and Universal titles

- The Women's Tag Team titles are still vacant and now the WWE Smackdown Women's title is also vacant

- Ronda Rousey is gone from the WWE. She requested her release and it was given

- Reports suggest Ronda was unhappy with her booking

- WWE have signed Psycho Clown, Chuckles the Clown, Dave the Clown, Monster Clown, Murder Clown and Mini Psycho Clown on contracts

- The wrestlers are sharing dates between the WWE and AAA

- It seems very unlikely WWE will renew Dominik Mysterio's contract

- Ezekiel smashes the guitar on the turnbuckles

AJ and Mysterio are in the ring

- AJ: For the last month we've had to put up with the ramblings of a conspiracy nut and a Canadian Redneck trash talking about OUR United States of America. We've tried to play fairly, we've met them in the ring, but you know what...

- Bulls on Parade plays just as AJ was about to speak

- Kevin Owen: haha Canadian Redneck... very nice... very original coming from the hick from Atlanta, Georgia

- Sami Zayn: "AMERICA ROCKS" OH YEAH -- listen to you. You're so brainwashed you don't even realise how cliched you sound. You're like a soundboard for the US Army Recruitment adverts.

- Owens: America sucks because it takes the gullible, just like our dear friend Rey Mysterio, and makes them believe all the hype and all the lies. It's a dangerous game, and it's gonna get your hurt, Rey.

- Sami: AJ has been taking advantage of you since this whole thing started. He let you come out and take the first bullet in all of this. He let the immigrant take the fall. Sound familiar?

Becky Lynch is the UNDISPUTED

- The NEW WWE Champion, WWE Universal Champion and WWE RAW Women's Champion Becky Lynch makes opens RAW to a huge response to the crowd
- If Roman Reigns looked good with two titles, Becky Lynch looks a real star holding three
- Becky: I look good, right? But you know what... a look at these belts and a think... sure they look nice and all, but I want that big gold belt worn by Chris Jericho and HHH. What y'say? To steal a phrase, if ya like... cos AM THE FREAKING UNDISPUTED CHAMPION!

- Becky: Look, what I did last week on RAW... I'd do again, I saw my opportunitiy and I took it. Y'see those Briefcases look very similar if you don't tart them all up... and I swapped them over... I took Lashley's briefcase and I left mine behind... I saw my chance to get a shot at the titles... and let me tell ya... I took it. I won them!
- Heyman: WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG
- Paul Heyman makes his way to the ring
- Heyman:... WRONG.You are NOT the champion, those are NOT your titles and you did NOT win last night, as that match at Clash of Champions was legally sanctioned! Roman Reigns is STILL the WWE and WWE Universal Champion, STILL undefeated and I'm going to give you the dignity of handing those titles back over RIGHT NOW before he comes down here and slaps the insolence out of your mouth, young lady
- Becky: Oh really, now. Maybe you've forgotten something.. but I'm THE MAN, and there's noone. NOONE. That will slap me. If Roman, or anyone else for that matter, wants these titles, they're going to have to pry them from clenched bloody fists. With that being said, I do owe an apology to Bobby Lashley, so Bobby, if ya listening, when you recover I'll see you at Bragging Rights.
- Heyman: NO. YOU WILL NOT
- Cody: Wait, a minute Paul --

The wording is very clear and stipulates that the winner of the Money in the Bank contract is entitled to cash in their contract for a title shot at any time and any place they have an official WWE referee confirm the cash-in. So unfortunantly...
- Heyman starts clapping and laughing
- Heyman: Thank you, thank you, hand them back ov
- Stephanie: ... Paul, that means Roman Reigns WAS defeated last night by a Money in the Bank winner.
- Heyman begins to throw a wobbler
- Stephanie: The contracts don't state who... anyway, if you want to discuss the legalities of it I'll be happy to -- I don't want to bore the fans with it and interrupt Becky Lynch's celebration any longer. CONTGRATULATIONS BECKY LYNCH OUR NEW WWE & WWE UNIVERSAL CHAMPION!

(rating: 69)

Meanwhile in the GM's Office

- Cody: I just thought I could do things differently
- Stephanie: We all think that at first Cody; it's sad that even after all these years you're still living in the shadows of great people. But I have faith in you Cody, I'm sure once your in-ring career is over you'll become a great promotor like your father

Elsewhere in a Hallow
- Bray Wyatt is in the darkened Hallow again, which looks like twisted brambles with mushrooms or toadstools crawling with bugs or catepillars
- Bray: Curious. How things go. The Empire has toppled and maybe soon we'll see it's head fly, too. But I just want you to know something, Roman... it was never about the titles. No. You took something from me... not made of gold, but made of mud -- my name. You see, much like the oysters and the fisherman I was lulled into a lie and fed to the already plump. Just like Bray Wyatt was buttered up and fed to the living dead, a phenom that resurrected time and time again without a scratch upon the soul -- a feat I tried to copy. Oh, how I tried. But each time I believed the lie it hurt, a deep notch within to remind me. Bray Wyatt is dead. The Fiend? I'm not sure The Fiend can die, but its a wounded beast right now. For it grew to know of pride, and its pride was cruely twisted when it met you. It took over 400 days for the healing to start. While it might not have been you that burned the flesh from the bones, you are the totem that The Devil Dog carved his image into. This is personal for me. This is my healing and you, Roman Reigns, are the cure.

- It's also thought that HHH has spoke to Andrade and Brain Danielson lately, too

- While Becky Lynch is on fire at the moment, I do believe most people still consider the WWE's biggest name to be John Cena
- This is similar to when Hogan ruled in the 80s and left, and The Rock ruled during the late 90s and early 00s before leaving
- As we head into October I think WWE's top stars right now are:
1. John Cena
2. Brock Lesnar
3. Roman Reigns
4. Becky Lynch
5. Asuka

- WWE made bold moves in Japan today as they announced NXT: Japan and the WWE Dojo based in Kanto.
- The Great Sasuke has been appointed the CEO with the help of Fuka. Command Bolshoi has also joined as part of the training staff
- No news on who will be joining them or how it will operate just yet, but I'd be surprised if the likes of Steve Corino, with a history of working in Japan, don't have some involvement
-There's rumours of Funaki, Taka Michinoku and even Christopher Daniels being approached for the project
- This marks the first expansion of the WWE Universe since WWE NXT UK
- Damien Priest and Gigi Dolin signed new contracts with the WWE today
- Talking of new signings it has been revealed that every contract is only signed off after a strict drug test
