Martin Bloydell: It’s Wednesday night folks and what a show we have for you tonight! In our main event, ‘The Dread Pirate’ attempts to earn a shot at the BOW World Championship as Hugh de Aske takes on one of Stevie Stoat’s henchmen, Louie Peyton of The Assassains Guild!

Melanie Florence: Not only that but Christian Blithe goes one on one with Lenny Mochin, and the winner will join Merle O’Curle, Konrad Makinen and Padraig O’Hearne in a four-way match at For Whom The Bell Tolls for the British Omega Wrestling Honour title.

Martin Bloydell: Walker van Cleer will be in action too, in a match against ‘The Carpenter’ Gordon Leve, and which team will progress in the BOW Tag Team Championship tournament as Alton Vicious and Riddick Jordan of The Northern Lights face A Pair Of Aces in Grant Taypen and Leighton Buzzard?

Melanie Florence: After Night Spyder attacked Matthew Macks at Reckless Abandon, he has been challenged by ‘The Phantom Of The Light’ Brilliant White, and they will go head to head in a hardcore match!

Martin Bloydell: All that and more to come tonight on BOW Night Of Wrestling, but we kick off this broadcast with two new tag teams in action, as students of the game Aurelian Bradley and Wes Stryker form School Of Wrestling to take on Fink Finkleton’s new clients, Pavel Vanzycha and Nigel Svensson. Over to Jackie Goldstein in the ring for the introductions…

Jackie Goldstein: Ladies and gentlemen, your opening contest is a tag team match scheduled for one fall, with a twenty minute time limit.

School Of Wrestling (Aurelian Bradley & Wes Stryker) vs Vanzycha & Svensson (Pavel Vanzycha & Nigel Svensson) w/ Fink Finkleton

Four strong technicians begin the show with a good match that set the tone for the evening by getting the crowd hot right out of the gate. Despite their careers being in their infancy, Bradley and Stryker are already more than capable performers between the ropes and, with the astute duo of Pavel Vanzycha and Nigel Svensson guiding them through this eight-minute match, they were more than able to prove as much.

With more time, more build and higher stakes this match could be something special, and with both duos in their infancy there is no reason why BOW can’t run back the match in future, with all of those factors in play. But in this instance the match was intended to introduce both teams to the audience, particularly the no-nonsense, steely comradery of Vanzycha and Svensson. It accomplished this well, with the duo notching the first of many, many wins together after Pavel Vanzycha forced Wes Stryker to submit to his Cross Armlock.

With neither of these teams featuring in the tournament to crown the inaugural BOW Tag Team Champions, expect them to provide fresh competition to whichever duo is first to hold the straps, and either partnership will certainly pose a threat to the soon-to-be-champions, whoever they may be.

Winners: Vanzycha & Svensson via submission.

Martin Bloydell: A resounding win for the new partnership between Pavel Vanzycha and Nigel Svensson.

Melanie Florence: I hate to admit it, but under Fink Finkleton's guidance they really look like a force to be reckoned with.

Martin Bloydell: Unfortunately I have to agree with you Melanie, and the rest of the tag team division should heed the warning they put out tonight.

Melanie Florence: Speaking of the tag team division, the Tag Team Championship tournament continues tonight as The Northern Lights take on Grant Taypen and Leighton Buzzard, who are now going by the name 'A Pair Of Aces'.

Martin Bloydell: That's right, but up next we have some words from our boss, the BOW CEO, Dunton Hall.

BOW_Banner.jpg.af8c1758429081a90f59e42f49c3d67e.jpg

Dunton Hall is backstage in his office.

DuntonHall.jpg.81cf6a193660897331e6de49d65fd583.jpg

Dunton Hall: Last week, I announced the introduction of both the BOW Tag Team Championships and the BOW Honour Championship, both of which will be contested for at For Whom The Bell Tolls on the second Sunday of March. But these are not the only two new belts to debut at the upcoming event. Because at For Whom The Bell Tolls, there will be a ladder match. A ladder match between not one, not two, not three, not four competitors, but an entire division. Hanging above the ring, for each wrestler to fight to obtain will be this…

Dunton Hall unveils the British Omega Wrestling Women’s Championship.

BOW_Womens.jpg.e525f6c64ff6d31fcbd16cac61af4985.jpg

Dunton Hall: …the BOW Women’s World Championship. We have already seen six women debut in BOW, with each of them showing fans their talent and determination whether they have won or lost. And so, I wanted to give each woman on the roster the opportunity to climb the rungs of the ladder, claim this belt and etch her name into history. Aud Valkyrie, Jeri Behr, Karen Bilous, Thea Davis, Viper McKenna and Zofia Jankovic all have the chance to be crowned the first ever women’s champion in British wrestling. But they are not the only ones with that opportunity. There will be two other wrestlers in this match, and they will face each other one on one, and that match is next.

BOW_Banner.jpg.af8c1758429081a90f59e42f49c3d67e.jpg

Martin Bloydell: Wow! What an announcement from Dunton Hall! A British Omega Wrestling Women's Championship will be introduced at For Whom The Bell Tolls!

Melanie Florence: And boy I am excited! A ladder match no less, featuring eight women, two of whom we are about to see wrestling in a BOW ring for the first time, so let's get straight to it.

BOW_Banner.jpg.af8c1758429081a90f59e42f49c3d67e.jpg

Jackie Goldstein: Ladies and gentlemen, the following match is scheduled for one fall with a twenty-minute time limit. Introducing first, from Leicester, England, K.T. Devonshire!

KatyaKornishkova.jpg.baddf3f564a62ccaec887e0d18a2638d.jpg

Jackie Goldstein: And her opponent, from Calgary, Alberta, Canada, Steffi Chee!

BOW_Banner.jpg.af8c1758429081a90f59e42f49c3d67e.jpg

Match Two:

KatyaKornishkova.jpg.baddf3f564a62ccaec887e0d18a2638d.jpg vs.jpg.80a0e92e61118f94553116539baf9eb1.jpg SteffiChee.jpg.e2b5dfeafc9863893eb569e111f7eef0.jpg

K.T. Devonshire vs Steffi Chee

The two latest additions to the BOW Women’s Division clashed in a match that was both competitor’s introduction to the audience. Having two debutants face off against one another as their introduction to the audience is a tough vehicle for the wrestlers to navigate, as the audience is unsure who to cheer, who to boo, and why they should care about the people in the ring. To give the fans a clue, K.T. Devonshire tastelessly slapped the veteran Chee before the opening bell to solidify her position as the heel of the bout.

The commentary team did a fine job of putting over both women, in particular Chee’s credentials as a performer, having worked across the globe for some reputable companies, having held gold in the USA, Canada, and Europe. Her work with EWA back in the early 2010s afforded Chee a modicum of recognition among the die-hard fans, while Florence in particular working hard on the broadcast booth to sell Devonshire as an ice-cold, calculating competitor to distance the wrestler away from the gimmicky Russian shtick as Katya Kornishkova she has been saddled with in North America with ACPW and AAA before that. Unfortunately, the insight on commentary wasn’t being presented to the live audience, and their relative apathy was reflected in their lukewarm response to the match. It did not help that the action was mediocre at best, Chee clearly having lost a step or two between the ropes while Devonshire, a solid prospect in her own right, does not yet possess a strong enough ring awareness to be working without a match being prepared beat for beat. Pairing her up with one of the other heels of the division may be the best approach for her moving forward after the ladder match in a few weeks.

Chee put an end to the seven-minute, distinctly average match after landing her Mafia Kick finisher on the rookie, giving the established star a first win in what is likely her last run as an active competitor. Devonshire put up a good fight to try and keep both women looking strong after their introduction to their new workplace.

SteffiChee.jpg.e2b5dfeafc9863893eb569e111f7eef0.jpg

Winner: Steffi Chee via pinfall.

BOW_Banner.jpg.af8c1758429081a90f59e42f49c3d67e.jpg

Melanie Florence: Steffi Chee with a huge introduction to British Omega Wrestling with her win here tonight. The Canadian has made a name for herself wrestling across North America, Europe and Japan, and has she come here to become the first ever BOW Women's Champion?

Martin Bloydell: Only time will tell, Mel!

Backstage the end of a talk is caught as Cain Carlile is seen enthusiastically chewing off Bali Daljit’s ear with a giddy rant, no doubt about something geeky that Daljit clearly cares little about, but he is cut short when Gianfranco Morelli and Roberto Milano of The Fashionistas literally walk through the conversation.

Roberto Milano: 3?

Gianfranco Morelli: Little strange boy, I do not know this BG3. But what I do know is double D, and speaking of which, let us introduce to you our new bodacious-

Roberto Milano: Vivacious-

Gianfranco Morelli: Va-la-la-la-let, Holly ‘The Legs’ Leves.

HollyLeves_alt.jpg.3cbe0343173325dff6f11019b3772a78.jpg

The Fashionistas part to allow room for Holly Leves to stand between them. Her ludicrously extravagant attire almost making her client’s pale in comparison. Despite being such an elaborate outfit, it somehow manages to be dangerously revealing, a fact not lost on Bali Daljit in the background, with his attention firmly on Leves…

Roberto Milano: The gorgeous Leves is The Fashionistas Chief Outfit Co-ordinator, our C-

Gianfranco Morelli: O-

Roberto Milano: C.

Bali Daljit: She’s your... COC?

Bali Daljit gulps, his attention is still yet to be diverted.

Gianfranco Morelli: She’s much more than that, idiota. She will also oversee the transportation and care of our luggage.

Daljit looks at Morelli, incredulous.

Bali Daljit: She’s your COC and bag handler?

Roberto Milano: Yes, she is. And she is also going to manage our appointments, book our fashion shows and most importantly, deal with the normies who we don’t want to sully ourselves with. Like you two.

Milano ‘boops’ Carlile on the nose in an over-the-top manner, immediately twisting his face and wiping his finger as though he had just come into contact with something contagious. Carlile steps forward to Leves.

Cain Carlile: Hi Ms. Leves, I was just telling Bali about my character on BG3. You see, I’m Yenvalor Tauriel the third, a half-elf warlock noble who-

Holly Leves lets out a scream as Clubber Kohl comes charging, landing crushing blows on the men present.

ClubberKohl.jpg.2c5390edcf84ce6aa1d8ae0f99a913d1.jpg

He brutally decimates the four of them, throwing them into various backstage equipment, crushing their heads against walls and making them crumple with vicious headbutts.

Eva Berlin eventually makes her way to Kohl, grabbing him by the wrists.

EvaBerlin.jpg.63ada1a8cdd71791b4c3c231f27cda73.jpg

Eva Berlin: Enough. Save some for next week.

She lets a devilish grin besmirch her face as the uncontrollable Kohl breathes heavily. Berlin leads Kohl away as Holly Leves is stood screaming for help over the bloodied and battered bodies of her clients.

BOW_Banner.jpg.af8c1758429081a90f59e42f49c3d67e.jpg

Jackie Goldstein: Clubber Kohl with a vicious assault backstage!

Melanie Florence: A reprehensible act from a violent madman, and Eva Berlin certainly didn't look in a rush to stop him.

Jackie Goldstein: No she did not!

Martin Bloydell: You've got to think there will be repercussions for Kohl's disgusting, unprovoked attack, but if Berlin's words were anything to go by, it looks like he's just getting started.

Jackie Goldstein: Speaking of getting started, the next match is about to begin, so I need to make my way to the ring for the introductions.

Melanie Florence: That's right, coming up next we have Christian Blithe versus Lenny Mochin, where the winner will qualify for the four way match to crown our inaugural Honour champion at For Whom The Bell Tolls. Jackie Goldstein, take it away!

Match Three:

ChristianBlithe.jpg.b47d6334aa9a7f69349659c0cdaa42d6.jpg vs.jpg.80a0e92e61118f94553116539baf9eb1.jpg LennyMochin.jpg.f3574dc8897efc519dd5be403da9403e.jpg

Honour Championship Four-Way Match Qualifier: Christian Blithe vs Lenny Mochin

If this is the type of match that the forthcoming Honour Championship will be contested in, then that belt will have a blessed reign for however long it is active in the wrestling industry. A competitive match between two proficient technicians who are on the cusp of entering their prime, this twelve-minute match proved exactly what Dunton Hall means when he says wrestling is being honoured, pun intended, in British Omega Wrestling.

The bout itself was a very close encounter, neither man able to maintain a dominant grasp of momentum as counter after counter thwarted every attempt to take control of the combat. A very well executed back and forth of quick pinfall attempts drew appreciation from the crowd, particularly Blithe’s use of a Gedo Clutch, a double-leg nelson rarely utilised in the Western wrestling world. A quick transition into a tense grapple as both men tried to lock the other in a submission hold also won the fans’ admiration. It was Blithe who took advantage, getting the better of Mochin with a drop toe hold as he began working his opponent’s leg to set up his Figure Four Leglock finisher. As he tried to apply that very move, Mochin fought back, several forearms to the face ensuring Blithe was unable to do hook in the famous move.

With the Surrey native now in control of the match, he strained the midsection of Blithe with an abdominal stretch, grasping the ropes to further stretch the New Zealander’s torso. Taking full advantage of the referee’s five count, Mochin then dropped Blithe with a pumphandle drop. Attempting to fight from underneath, Blithe tried one more attempt at a drop toe hold, but this time Mochin was quick to react, instead hoisting up Blithe in his butterfly powerbomb finisher, the Eye Of The Storm, and add his name to the four-way match at For Whom The Bell Tolls.

LennyMochin.jpg.f3574dc8897efc519dd5be403da9403e.jpg

Winner: Lenny Mochin via pinfall.

BOW_Banner.jpg.af8c1758429081a90f59e42f49c3d67e.jpg

Melanie Florence: Lenny Mochin cashing his ticket and now with the opportunity to become the first ever BOW Honour Champion.

Martin Bloydell: Take nothing away from Christian Blithe, the New Zealander put on a good show and if he keeps on like that he will be putting his name in contention for titles sooner rather than later.

Melanie Florence: I don't doubt it - but we're getting word that we are heading backstage to hear from someone with immediate title plans, one of Mochin's opponents at For Whom The Bell Tolls, Padraig O'Hearne.

BOW_Banner.jpg.af8c1758429081a90f59e42f49c3d67e.jpg

Backstage Marbella stands with Padraig O’Hearne.

Marbella.jpg.6da53e84dbed83ac8b44d4089eccf7fa.jpg PadraigOHearne.jpg.616bc09230e415e7a35e2ecfc473f6de.jpg

Marbella: Padraig, as we’ve just seen, Lenny Mochin has just earned the right to compete in the four-way match at For Whom The Bell Tolls. What are your thoughts on that?

Padraig O’Hearne: Well Marbella-

Konrad Makinen walks into the shot.

Padraig O’Hearne: What do you want?

Makinen and O’Hearne engage in a tense staredown.

Eventually Makinen offers his hand out to the Irishman.

Konrad Makinen: To wish you luck. I look forward to facing you at For Whom The Bell Tolls.

O’Hearne accepts Makinen’s offer with a firm handshake of his own.

Padraig O’Hearne: And I look forward to beating you.

Both men step closer to one another, neither giving up their grasp. Makinen lets a wry smile take over his face at O’Hearne's retort, with Padraig’s stony glare unflinching.

Konrad Makinen: We’ll see about that.

Padraig O’Hearne: Yeah, we will.

The handshake is finally relinquished as O’Hearne gives a slight nod to Makinen before walking away.

Makinen turns to Marbella.

Konrad Makinen: Sorry for the interruption.

Makinen nods to Marbella and turns to depart when he is suddenly jumped from behind. Laying hard fists down on the Swedish wrestler is the embittered veteran and fellow Honour Championship challenger, Merle O’Curle.

MerleOCurle.jpg.5d46502df78c492ed7f1c3b513cd81df.jpg

Satisfied with his work, O’Curle snatches the microphone from the grasp of the shocked Marbella.

Merle O’Curle: I'll see you in the ring next week.

BOW_Banner.jpg.af8c1758429081a90f59e42f49c3d67e.jpg

Jackie Goldstein: I've just received word that it's official, Merle O'Curle versus Konrad Makinen, next week on BOW Night Of Wrestling.

Martin Bloydell: And I'd bet that Makinen has some revenge on his mind after being jumped by O'Curle.

Melanie Florence: I'd agree with you, but I think the only thing that should be on his head right now is an ice pack after that attack.

BOW_Banner.jpg.af8c1758429081a90f59e42f49c3d67e.jpg

Match Four:

GordonLeve.jpg.ab87734a5640ca4383d4565ceb2b1296.jpg vs.jpg.80a0e92e61118f94553116539baf9eb1.jpg WalkervanCleer.jpg.5417e15bb17cb22e8e6a97db3cd10760.jpg

Gordon Leve vs Walker van Cleer

The second match in a row to outperform expectations, Leve vs van Cleer might not look like much of a prospect on paper, but boy did it deliver. Only a week ago Landon Mallory and Colin Picalo proved that BOW Night Of Wrestling will be full of excellent singles matches, and tonight this match kept this blossoming tradition alive. In ten minutes, the pair were able to meet the bar that has been set before them and raise it to a new level. It was another highly technical match, an opportune setting for Leve to show fans exactly why he’s earned his name as ‘The Carpenter’. Walker van Cleer, meanwhile, though somewhat known as a solid technician is far more renowned for his brawling, and so coming up against Leve allowed him to show he can work a ring mat as well as he can throw a punch.

What started as a highly competitive match allowed Leve to show his virtue, earning the respect of fans as he fought valiantly. On the other hand, van Cleer grew more frustrated as the match went on, his recent confrontation with Mallory still fresh on his mind. Wanting to outdo his longtime foe from their work in Europe, each time he was unable to put away Leve left the Dutch wrestler infuriated. In fact, van Cleer’s fuse snapping almost cost him the match when Leve ducked his first attempt at the High Elevation Cross Body, with Leve reacting quickly to trap van Cleer in an arm-wrench inside cradle for a near-fall. Seeing the bout almost slip through his fingers was the final straw for Walker, and some hard chops to the chest let Leve know exactly what his opponent thought of his sneaky pinfall attempt. A quick one-two punch combination, followed by a sleek gut-wrench suplex was enough to daze Leve and allow van Cleer to successfully land his Cross Body this time around for the win.

WalkervanCleer.jpg.5417e15bb17cb22e8e6a97db3cd10760.jpg

Winner: Walker van Cleer via pinfall.

BOW_Banner.jpg.af8c1758429081a90f59e42f49c3d67e.jpg

Walker van Cleer barely allows the referee to raise his arm in victory before he tears himself away from the match official, demanding he be handed a microphone instead. He taps on the mic to ensure it’s working as his music cuts.

Walker van Cleer: I want the BOW World Championship.

Walker emphatically throws the microphone down into the mat and storms out of the ring.

BOW_Banner.jpg.af8c1758429081a90f59e42f49c3d67e.jpg

Jackie Goldstein: Walker van Cleer with some very clear intentions!

Melanie Florence: And he's not the only one, remember Landon Mallory hinted that he's got similar goals in mind last week.

Martin Bloydell: Stevie Stoat will be quickly discovering that to be the champion means having a target on your back.

Melanie Florence: That's true, but with Hugh de Aske hot on his tail, will he even be champion by the time either van Cleer or Mallory get their desired title shots?

Jackie Goldstein: A good question, and one that may be answered tonight as de Aske takes on Stoat's Smoked Out stablemate in Louie Peyton, earning himself a shot at Stoat's World title next week if he wins.

Christopher Lister and Jase Cole are backstage with Marbella in the interview area.

Marbella.jpg.6da53e84dbed83ac8b44d4089eccf7fa.jpg ChristopherLister.jpg.0e0202a0b56fc8aa46163bd4e0acb129.jpg JaseCole.jpg.1c8b9405df62fdb9a857f9b78f282c66.jpg

Marbella: Christopher, Jase, I was supposed to be asking you about your Tag Team Championship tournament match against The Fashionistas next week, but I’ve been informed that due to the attack by Clubber Kohl earlier tonight they will be unable to compete. Instead, your match will now take place at BOW Night Of Wrestling 4 in two weeks. What are your thoughts at this time?

Jase Cole: Marbella, working with this man alongside me brought me some of my best years in this business. It’s been three years since Chris and I last teamed up, three long years. I’d be lying to ya if I said I wasn’t chomping at the bit to get back in the ring alongside him.

Christopher Lister: Jase is right. Who would have thought way back in August 1999, when two young rookies cosplaying as Jedi Knights, that we would be standing here all these years later, looking back on our best years in the ring, desperate to team up once again and bring back The X Force? We are a lot older now, a lot wiser too. Hell, we don’t even play with our lightsabres anymore…

Jase Cole lets out a snort of laughter, causing Lister to smirk.

Christopher Lister: At least not together anyway.

Jase Cole: Or in public.

Marbella looks slightly flustered as Jase Cole stands there literally tongue-in-cheek.

Christopher Lister: Look, innuendos aside, what I’m trying to say is we don’t have too many years as active wrestlers left. It’s a sad fact, but it’s true. So we want to be out there performing as often as we can. It’s why we entered this tournament, one final hurrah.

Jase Cole: So to have our match bumped, yeah it sucks, dude. But if it means giving us that extra match together, not taking the bye into the next round, we can wait one more week.

Christopher Lister: So Morelli, Milano, rest up. Have your new bag handler take care of you-

Jase Cole: Hell, have her recharge your lightsabres if it helps-

Christopher Lister: But get to 100%. That’s what we will be, and we want nothing less than to face the best.

Jase Cole: Because the force is at it’s strongest when Jase Cole and Christopher Lister are together.

Mo Adebola is stood further down the corridor backstage, dragging the camera man into his space.

MoAdebola.jpg.3fd59eb55f5b01a59adeaafd87f90607.jpg

Mo Adebola: Just now, while running through some last-minute preparations with The Northern Lights ahead of their tournament match, I heard that there was an opening on the match card next week. Well, after I watch Alton Vicious and Riddick Jordan decimate Grant Taypen and Leighton Buzzard tonight, I’m going to want to get back out there and guide another client to victory as quickly as possible. So I’m issuing an open challenge for anyone on the BOW roster next week, to face this man…

Dangermouth.jpg.9da08905f3d3a6883a608c87d9d4d940.jpg

Dangermouth steps into the frame alongside Adebola.

Mo Adebola: This man is a mogul of the grime music industry, and he’s soon to be a champion of the wrestling industry. Who is man enough to face him next week?

Rachel Dearheart: I know a guy.

RachelDearheart.jpg.3fa01637a4dc068f1c1c38cafc017847.jpg

Rachel Dearheart steps into the frame.

Rachel Dearheart: I know a tough guy. I know a guy who doesn’t have a dangerous mouth, he has dangerous fists. He needs no friends, but I’m lucky enough to be one of them. Perhaps the only one. But what I know about this guy, is that he never backs down from a fight.

GramGorman.jpg.9065e6587b0ca32e4d3b36cb84a0d2b8.jpg

Gram Gorman stands beside Rachel Dearheart, his stern, twitching grimace an intimidating sight.

Mo Adebola: Alright, you’re on. Next week. See you there. Now if you’ll excuse me, The Northern Lights have a tournament to win.

Mo Adebola purposefully walks away, but Dangermouth hovers just a moment longer, to stare down Gram Gorman, who himself is unflinching in the face of the larger competitor.

BOW_Banner.jpg.af8c1758429081a90f59e42f49c3d67e.jpg

Martin Bloydell: I'm getting news that Dunton Hall has confirmed it, Dangermouth will make his BOW debut next week on Night Of Wrestling against Gram Gorman!

Melanie Florence: And Gorman seems to have an equaliser at his side in Rachel Dearheart too. I wonder what the relationship between her and Gorman is exactly.

Martin Bloydell: I'm sure we will find out in time, but for now let's turn our attention to the ring ahead of the BOW Tag Team Championship tournament match between A Pair Of Aces and The Northern Lights.

The Northern Lights (Alton Vicious & Riddick Jordan) w/ Mo Adebola vs A Pair Of Aces (Grant Taypen & Leighton Buzzard)

Many expected The Northern Lights to dominate this match, but Taypen and Buzzard, now working under the new name ‘A Pair Of Aces’, are an experienced partnership who have won titles together in both SNP and CWW. They haven’t yet forged a prominent position in BOW, but they are certainly a solid tag team unit who could be a feature of the division if handled correctly moving forward. As for The Northern Lights, their destiny is almost obvious, they seem locked on to be a big feature of the tag team division, and BOW as a whole, for some time.

The Aces came out hot for this one, Buzzard showing his graceful high-flying repertoire to put some distance between Riddick and his partner, before getting Taypen in the match to slow things down using his underrated technical skills. It took him a few minutes to successfully fight back, but once Riddick Jordan did, he stole the momentum from Taypen and Buzzard to get to his corner. Alton Vicious entered the ring and ran roughshod through both men, tagging Jordan back into the match to hit his Flying Headbutt on Grant Taypen for the win after seven minutes.

Winners: The Northern Lights by pinfall.

Seemingly unsatisfied with their victory, or at least feeling slightest that they didn’t just roll over Grant Taypen and Leighton Buzzard as expected, the menacing duo decided to take out their frustration on their fallen opponents, hitting their team’s finishing manoeuvre, the Lights Out, on both members of A Pair Of Aces. They looked to continue their assault, but it was only when Mo Adebola reminded them they risk seeing the match result reversed that they finally relented.

Backstage, Future X’s Eric Future and Petey Barnes are seething as they look down the lens of the camera.

Eric Future: Cowards. Northern Lights, you guys are nothing but a pair of cowards.

Petey Barnes: What’s the matter boys? Upset that you had to fight in an actual match rather than jump people from behind? Pathetic.

Eric Future: You are big, menacing badass sons of b*tches. At least you’re meant to be. So start acting like it. Not like little b*tches.

Petey Barnes: Next week we’ll show you how not to be little b*tches in our match when we beat The Foreign Legion.

Eric Future: Pay attention, play close attention. Maybe it’ll help you reach the tournament finals. We want you to reach the finals…

Petey Barnes: Because we want to beat you in the finals.

BOW_Banner.jpg.af8c1758429081a90f59e42f49c3d67e.jpg

Jackie Goldstein: The Northern Lights with a resounding win to progress in the tournament.

Melanie Florence: Yeah but their post-match antics will have done little to earn themselves favour with the crowd, and the locker room judging by Future X's remarks.

Martin Bloydell: Their brutish attack has certainly sent a message though; cross The Northern Lights at your peril. Can the dastardly duo progress all the way to the tournament finals and be crowned the BOW Tag Team Champions? We shall see.

Marbella stands, microphone in hand, with Jason Dempsey.

Marbella.jpg.6da53e84dbed83ac8b44d4089eccf7fa.jpg JasonDempsey.jpg.a3bcae0cad972c35e548931baae2a33c.jpg

Marbella: Jason Dempsey last week you suffered defeat at the hands of the BOW World Champion Stevie Stoat in a non-title match, and this week you’re not on the match card. Yet you’ve still come to the arena, and you’ve requested this time to speak to us. What’s on your mind?

Jason Dempsey: Well Marbella, thanks for giving me this time. You’re right, I did lose last week, but find me a man who says I didn’t take Stevie Stoat to his very limits. I did what I do every single time I step between those ropes, I fought with pride, I fought with passion, and I fought like it would be my last fight. People call me a tenacious scrapper, and they’re right, because I don’t know how to quit. But what I do know is how to get back up after being knocked down, because nothing can keep me down. A quality that our boss Mr. Dunton Hall says shows great honour. “A man can prove how honourable he is by overcoming adversity, by getting back up to fight after being knocked down.” Well I’m back up, and I’m ready to fight. More importantly, I’m ready to fight for the BOW Honour Championship. Now I know a champion has yet to be crowned, but I want first dibs at the first shot, no matter who wins the title.

Hardcore Match:
Brilliant White vs Night Spyder w/Laurel Wreath

Character was a heavy influence on this contest, with the dark stalker gimmick of Night Spyder and his gothic valet Laurel Wreath being the antithesis of Brilliant White’s phantom vigilante. Fortunately, in the ring the two utilise a similar reckless style, making this hardcore match a risky encounter that was a full of high-risk spots and a lot of fun.

Things started at breakneck speed, Brilliant White coming out of the gate with a slingblade, only for Night Spyder to get him back with the same move moments later. It didn’t take long for weapons to be introduced, with steel chairs, trash cans and road signs all joining the fray, and quickly being put to use. Among the action there were several extreme spots, including Night Spyder diving onto Brilliant White from the top rope while in a trash can, White using Singapore canes to trap Spyder between the ropes in a somewhat crucifix-esque looking position, before lashing him across the torso with another cane, and Spyder performing a tarantula on his opponent through the rungs of a ladder.

Towards the end of the match Brilliant White climbed a ladder on the outside, with tables set up beneath it, both hundreds of thumb tacks and Night Spyder sprawled across them. He threw himself off the top of the ladder, but Laurel Wreath, Spyder’s devoted devilish damsel, was available to pull her sinister savant to safety. Moments later and Spyder hit a slingblade on Brilliant White, this time onto a pile of steel chairs, for the victory.

NightSpyder.jpg.33d37b8c741a16e2bb564aa4bb68be95.jpg

Winner: Night Spyder by pinfall.

BOW_Banner.jpg.af8c1758429081a90f59e42f49c3d67e.jpg

Martin Bloydell: A violent match full of innovative ways to use whatever weapons they could find, but Night Spyder picking up the victory there, giving darkness the edge over the light.

Melanie Florence: And as we've seen, the Dark Stalker has his long-time rival Matthew Macks in his sights, will the Irish Daredevil be able to emerge from the shadows and evade Spyder's web?

BOW_Banner.jpg.af8c1758429081a90f59e42f49c3d67e.jpg

Marbella.jpg.6da53e84dbed83ac8b44d4089eccf7fa.jpg

Marbella is stood outside a locker room with a plaque reading Smoked Out. She knocks on the door and Stevie Stoat answers, the BOW World Championship resting over his shoulder.

StevieStoat_alt.jpg.de6926da3a3b4762eabca77cad91eeef.jpg

Stevie Stoat: What?

Marbella: Hi Mr. Stoat. I was hoping to catch Louie Peyton before his match tonight against Hugh de Aske. Is he available for comment?

Stevie Stoat: No.

Marbella: Why not?

Stevie Stoat: He’s focusing on his match. He’s got an important job tonight in making a certain pirate walk the plank. He doesn’t need…

Stoat looks Marbella up and down.

Stevie Stoat: …distractions.

Stevie Stoat slams the door in the face of Marbella.

BOW_Banner.jpg.af8c1758429081a90f59e42f49c3d67e.jpg

Martin Bloydell: Stevie Stoat there refusing to let Louie Peyton be distracted ahead of his match.

Melanie Florence: And for good reason; if Peyton isn't on his game tonight then Stoat may be forced to defend his World Championship against The Dread Pirate next week.

Martin Bloydell: It's time for the main event, let's get down to the ring!

BOW_Banner.jpg.af8c1758429081a90f59e42f49c3d67e.jpg

Match Six:

HughdeAske.jpg.26f3803c3890ee350b982ece2e31c83e.jpg vs.jpg.80a0e92e61118f94553116539baf9eb1.jpg LouiePeyton.jpg.f636db78edcac4b5cfa90205cfc7aab6.jpg StefanRaynor_alt.jpg.57f0d10c45ca7ef4377d42754cfa8aad.jpg

Hugh de Aske vs Louie Peyton w/Stefan Raynor

This match had all the makings of something that could be an entertaining bout, both men attempting to engaging in a wild brawl, important stakes on the outcome, and the debut of the entertaining Hugh de Aske in British Omega Wrestling. White still a good match for the night, given the aforementioned factors, it won’t be looked back on too favourably as the distinct lack of chemistry between the two men in the ring clearly hampered proceedings.

Despite the lack of cohesion between the two competitors, this was still a good introduction for ‘The Dread Pirate’, who has quickly endeared himself to the fans. The presence of Peyton’s tag team partner Stefan Raynor at ringside was enough to stack the odds against de Aske, particularly as The Assassins’ Guild member was persistent in his attempts to interject himself into the match whenever referee Roy Worrall’s back was turned.

Louie Peyton was unable to put Hugh de Aske away despite his partner’s interference, drawing the ire of his Smoked Out leader, Stevie Stoat, who stormed to the ring to demand more from his lackeys. Initially his presence revitalised Peyton and Raynor’s dastardly ways, but it would eventually prove to be their downfall when Raynor invertedly struck Peyton as Stoat had the referee’s attention, giving Hugh de Aske the opportunity to land his Cut-Throat Driver for the victory.

HughdeAske.jpg.26f3803c3890ee350b982ece2e31c83e.jpg

Winner: Hugh de Aske via pinfall.

BOW_Banner.jpg.af8c1758429081a90f59e42f49c3d67e.jpg

Martin Bloydell: Hugh de Aske wins, he will face Stevie Stoat for the BOW World Championship next week, live on Night Of Wrestling!

Melanie Florence: Could The Smasher's reign be set to end before it even begins?! We are just one week away from one of the most important matches in our company so far!

Martin Bloydell: Wait a minute, it looks like Smoked Out aren't too happy with the result here...

BOW_Banner.jpg.af8c1758429081a90f59e42f49c3d67e.jpg

StevieStoat.jpg.5ad150f98772a37d05435c23675cee10.jpg LouiePeyton.jpg.f636db78edcac4b5cfa90205cfc7aab6.jpg StefanRaynor.jpg.01e03e6de6fe02f36bc4512a698a79b1.jpg

HughdeAske.jpg.26f3803c3890ee350b982ece2e31c83e.jpg

The livid trio of Smoked Out pounced on de Aske immediately after the bell rang, clearly reverting to plan B to ensure the Belgian is not at full fitness ahead of his newly earned title match next week.

Their plan was thwarted by a lion’s roar bellowing out the sound system, with Jon Michael Sharp and Martin Heath chasing to the ring, the returning Nate Manchester just seconds behind them.

JonMichaelSharp.jpg.f4ebf80a7dd7c14580b09fb95679389c.jpg MartinHeath.jpg.b7f01321c5eb809563755c79b14ba76c.jpg NateManchester.jpg.94bb349baf93815a059c1c4510ab2fd3.jpg

The trio cause the World Champion Stoat to retreat, leaving his cohort abandoned in the ring at the mercy of the avenging babyfaces.

Hugh de Aske hit Peyton with another Cut-Throat Driver, Royal Air Force downed Raynor with a Disarmer, and Nate Manchester leapt from the top turnbuckle to land a Manc-Sault on both members of The Assassins’ Guild as Stevie Stoat watched helplessly, and apoplectically, from the entrance ramp as the show came to an end.

BOW_Banner.jpg.af8c1758429081a90f59e42f49c3d67e.jpg

Jackie Goldstein: The return of Nate Manchester to save Hugh de Aske alongside Royal Air Force!

Melanie Florence: And the trio sent a strong message to Stoat there, alongside Hugh de Aske, who Stoat faces in just one week with the title on the line!

Martin Bloydell: And I'm getting word that next week Nate Manchester returns to action as he takes on Smoked Out's Stefan Raynor!

Melanie Florence: A chance for revenge for Manchester.

Jackie Goldstein: It's looking set to be an action packed show already, we look forward to seeing you all next week for more British Omega Wrestling!

@John Lions - 6/6
@Scottie - 6/6
@Charasmatic Enigma - 5/6
@DAVEFAN95 - 5/6
@KyTeran - 5/6
@smw88 - 4/6
@willr0ck - 4/6

Congratulations to the trio of JAK, John Lions and Scottie for all being the first to correctly predict an entire show. Sadly there's no prizes for doing so, but enjoy the bragging rights for the rest of eternity I guess.

Here's the card for the next show, it's a big one:

BOW World Championship:
BOW World Champion Stevie Stoat vs Hugh de Aske
Comments: The Champ holds onto his booty through nefarious means. Hugh gets two main event matches in his debut with BOW to cement him as one of your top babyfaces.

BOW Tag Team Championship Tournament Quarter Finals:
The Foreign Legion vs Future X
Comments: The Foreign Legion are indy vets who've never made a splash in any promotion despite some decent skills, while Future X are a veteran English tag team looking for their first time with a promotion on TV before they have to hang up the boots.

Nate Manchester vs Stefan Raynor
Comments: Manchester is your #1 babyface, he shouldn't lose to the World champ's lacky.

Merle O'Curle vs Konrad Makinen
Comments: Makinen established himself as a star for the future with his battle royal win, but he's got a long career ahead of him and Merle is a great veteran with only a few years left to give high quality work (him and Future X are in very similar positions - cornerstones of ROF who never had a big televised career in their homeland)

Dangermouth vs Gram Gorman
Comments: Gram is great but Dangermouth is that exciting future prospect and he's got Mo in his corner, who is much more experienced helping his clients get away with wins than Dearheart.

Aud Valkyrie, Jeri Behr, Steffi Chee and Thea Davis vs K.T. Devonshire, Karen Bilous, Viper McKenna and Zofia Jankovic
Comments: Match could go either way, but I went with the heels in the multi man.

Clubber Kohl vs Eugen Semper
Comments: The guy who crashed a segment last week with Eva Berlin as his handler demolishes the young Semper

Matthew Macks vs Magnus Cage
Comments: Macks is knee deep in his long running feud with Night Spyder - I can see him and Laurel being a factor in this match, but not enough for them to give Cage the win.

BOW Night Of Wrestling #3:

BOW World Championship:
BOW World Champion Stevie Stoat vs Hugh de Aske
Comments: While I don't think Stoat will have a long run due to his age, I also don't see him losing it in his first defence.

BOW Tag Team Championship Tournament Quarter Finals:
The Foreign Legion vs Future X
Comments: Future X pump out great matches. My guess would be Future X vs Northern Lights being the tournament final.

Nate Manchester vs Stefan Raynor
Comments: Nate is your top babyface, he doesn't lose to the champions lackey

Merle O'Curle vs Konrad Makinen
Comments: Konrad won the battle royal and has a lot of upside. Merle's great, but I think his best use is as a gatekeeper for the young talents you have from Europe.

Dangermouth vs Gram Gorman
Comments: Dangermouth has the intangibles and could be a star.

Aud Valkyrie, Jeri Behr, Steffi Chee and Thea Davis vs K.T. Devonshire, Karen Bilous, Viper McKenna and Zofia Jankovic
Comments: Don't know enough about a lot of the women, so a bit of a coinflip.

Clubber Kohl vs Eugen Semper
Comments: Kohl seems to be being built up as a monter heel, so can't lose here.

Matthew Macks vs Magnus Cage
Comments: Both are good talents, but Macks seems a bit more involved in the program so far.

I demand a recount! Clearly last show's results were rigged against my infallable system.

Oh well, let's try this again. Same as last time, just blindly picking based on my own reasons. I probably should go with what the stories are telling me week to week or at least what I think they are telling me but that would be too easy. Let's keep rolling with the crazy logic.

BOW Night Of Wrestling #3:

BOW World Championship:
BOW World Champion Stevie Stoat vs Hugh de Aske
Comments: Normal logic would dictate that there is no way you hot shot the title this early, this is British wrestling obviously, not corparatey corporate sports etertainey entertainment. But I'm going with Stoat again, because Pirate gimmicks should never be over in wrestling. Never in the history of ever! What does de Aske do on days when he's not booked? Go sail around the Atlantic looking for ships to attack?

BOW Tag Team Championship Tournament Quarter Finals:
The Foreign Legion vs Future X
Comments: Because I'm picking Future Twitter (Not calling it X, it's still Twitter to me damnit!) because I picked them last time. Pushed teams gonna get pushed.

Nate Manchester vs Stefan Raynor
Comments: His last name is Manchetser in a British wrestling promotion. Bam, too easy!

Merle O'Curle vs Konrad Makinen
Comments: Okay so I cheated on this one and looked these guys up. Konrad's younger and has more potential so here's your one and only logical choice.

Dangermouth vs Gram Gorman
Comments: Dangermouth is dangerously dangerous becuase he has mouthfuls of danger. Gorman will not be able to avoid his dangerously dangerous mounthfuls of danger. They are far too dangerous. The dangerous danger spilling from the Dangermouth's mouth of danger will be too much danger.

Aud Valkyrie, Jeri Behr, Steffi Chee and Thea Davis vs K.T. Devonshire, Karen Bilous, Viper McKenna and Zofia Jankovic
Comments: Let's put all the women in a big ass multi-person tag. How pre-four horsewoman WWE of you. Let's go with the heels here because heels gonna heel.

Clubber Kohl vs Eugen Semper
Comments: As always, never bet against the guy who's first name is Clubber.

Matthew Macks vs Magnus Cage
Comments: Okay, so I looked these two up as well. So much for my system, lol. Macks is Irish and I-rish that he would pick up the win here, zing! (See what I did there?)

BOW World Championship:
BOW World Champion Stevie Stoat vs Hugh de Aske
Comments: I like Hugh, but I don't see the champ losing his title so soon.

BOW Tag Team Championship Tournament Quarter Finals:
The Foreign Legion vs Future X
Comments: Future X has a future match with The Northern Lights

Nate Manchester vs Stefan Raynor
Comments: The guy with the last name of Manchester has to win in a British company, especially against a tag guy.

Merle O'Curle vs Konrad Makinen
Comments: I think Konrad has some more upside for the future.

Dangermouth vs Gram Gorman
Comments: Same response as above except for Dangermouth.

Aud Valkyrie, Jeri Behr, Steffi Chee and Thea Davis vs K.T. Devonshire, Karen Bilous, Viper McKenna and Zofia Jankovic
Comments: Devonshire is the inexperienced rookie in a ring full of veterans and the woman who takes the pin.

Clubber Kohl vs Eugen Semper
Comments: The young Eugen loses to The German Destroyer

Matthew Macks vs Magnus Cage
Comments: Going with The Irish Daredevil since he has about a decade more experience than Magnus.

British Omega Wrestling

Night Of Wrestling #3

Wednesday Week 3 February 2020

London, Southern England, British Isles

BOW_Banner.jpg.88ab92ee85116b6ffbc1543904ccd6bc.jpg

MartinBloydell.jpg.9798731d72b4fed912240eda7219a5f2.jpg MelanieFlorence.jpg.0600da18ec4318225c4842a6d264b938.jpg JackieGoldstein.jpg.d697c8f832df8f021bfce5ac76924d7b.jpg

Martin Bloydell: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the third edition of BOW Night Of Wrestling and what a show we have for you tonight!

Jackie Goldstein: That’s right Martin, in an explosive main event, Stevie Stoat makes his first defence of the British Omega Wrestling World Championship against ‘The Dread Pirate’ Hugh de Aske. Can ‘The Smasher’ grab the victory or will his reign be ended before it begins?

Martin Bloydell: We will find out in our main event Jackie, but also coming up tonight all of the women’s division are in the ring ahead of their ladder match at For Whom The Bell Tolls, in a huge eight woman tag team match.

Melanie Florence: We will also see the continuation of the BOW Tag Team Championship tournament, with Future X versus The Foreign Legion, and Dangermouth makes his television debut against Gram Gorman.

Martin Bloydell: Nate Manchester also makes his way back into the ring for the first time since losing the BOW World Championship match at Reckless Abandon as he faces Stefan Raynor of The Assassins’ Guild. But before all of that, we’re going to open the show with the returning Matthew Macks against Magnus Cage.

BOW_Banner.jpg.88ab92ee85116b6ffbc1543904ccd6bc.jpg

Match One:

MatthewMacks.jpg.cd24f047fb109aff297f5fec3a652b1b.jpg vs.jpg.e25013b0271c00bb9923368cb32c72ee.jpg MagnusCage.jpg.4c64176a8cdc98a7b80642bcb3fbc966.jpg

Matthew Macks vs Magnus Cage

Matthew Macks made his return to BOW following his attack at the hands of Night Spyder to take on Magnus Cage in the show’s opening match. This match was more about the story of him not being at 100% against an arrogant heel in Cage who was not afraid to bend the rules to his advantage in addition to exploiting Macks’ injuries. Sadly this near eight minute match was hampered by the fact that Macks and Cage didn’t mix well, their lack of chemistry telling in this opening contest.

Nevertheless, the match did its job in curating Macks as the sympathetic babyface, his refusal to give in to the injuries he sustained from his nemesis Night Spyder as Cage worked him over. He took the upper hand towards the end of the bout, taking the contest to the outside where he was far more comfortable in the riskier environment than Cage was. However, as Macks had the upper hand on the arena floor, Night Spyder arrived, stalking his foe as he walked down the ramp towards the competitors, his calculated descent down the ramp looking like it was only going to end one way, with violence. Cage took full advantage of the distraction, sliding back into the ring and feigning an injury to distract the referee as Spyder locked Matthew Macks in his Spyder’s Web. He released the hold quickly enough to avoid detection from the referee, who resumed his ten-count to declare end of the match.

Cage infuriatingly over-celebrated the cheap victory, drawing tremendous ire from the crowd to end this opening contest.

A video is shown of Future X’s Petey Barnes and Eric Future warming up ahead of their match tonight. They are fully concentrated, their determination to win evident in their stern, focused demeanour.

Melanie Florence: Future X are usually all smiles, but they're certainly focused tonight ahead of their tournament match.

Jackie Goldstein: We've seen them having problems with The Northern Lights, ever since the Lights' attacked them at Reckless Abandon, but if they want to get revenge they'll have to do it the hard way; The Lights' have already progressed to the next round of the tournament, but with both teams on opposite sides of the brackets they can only meet in the finals.

Melanie Florence: And with all that has happened, you have to think that getting revenge is almost as much as a motivator as winning the BOW Tag Team Championships for Future X at this point!

Martin Bloydell: That may be true, but they have a long way to go before the finals... They will be facing The Foreign Legion in the quarter-finals coming up later, but up next we have 'The War Dog' Clubber Kohl taking on a fellow German in the kickboxer Eugen Semper.

Clubber Kohl w/Eva Berlin vs Eugen Semper

This was not a pretty match, and thankfully it only lasted a mere five minutes. Eugen Semper, a legitimate kickboxer from Munich who only made the transition into wrestling in 2018, is still far too green to be featured on national television. A more experienced competitor may have got more out of the young German, but Kohl himself only has four years’ worth of in-ring work under his belt.

Luckily the match was clearly intended to be nothing more than a glorified squash, designed to show that not only can Kohl hit hard, but also absorb being hit hard from someone with an authentic background like Semper’s. Brief flashes of offence from Eugen gave evidence of that, but this was always going to end one way, with Kohl’s hand raised in victory. It went as expected after Kohl hit three Hamburg Expresses – the first was enough, the second and third were just for show.

Melanie Florence: A quick victory in dominant fashion for 'The War Dog' Clubber Kohl.

Martin Bloydell: Not only was he dangerous in attack, but he also withstood every vicious kick that Eugen Semper was able to land on him.

Melanie Florence: I would hate to be the next man to cross Kohl, and with the calculating Eva Berlin doing his bidding, no-one is safe around here!

Martin Bloydell: Absolutely Mel! Up next we are going to throw it to the back with our newest interviewer, Nicole Phillips.

BOW_Banner.jpg.88ab92ee85116b6ffbc1543904ccd6bc.jpg

Backstage in the interview section, a woman who is recognisable to die-hard fans as the former 21CW manager Aurora is stood with a microphone.

Nicole Phillips: Thanks guys. With me now are Billy Robinson and Don Henderson, The Shooters.

The Shooters walk into the shot.

Nicole Phillips: Thank you for joining me. Billy, Don, earlier this month you qualified for the next round of the BOW Tag Team Championship tournament. Last week you saw that The Northern Lights beat A Pair Of Aces to qualify too, and they will be your opponents in the next round. What are your thoughts ahead of your semi-final showdown?

Billy Robinson: Well Nicole, when Don and I were preparing for this tournament, we checked out each of the other teams to see who our biggest threats were. Now when we looked into The Northern Lights' we both agreed that these guys are going to be one of the toughest teams we've ever faced.

Don Henderson: But if there's one thing that we know we have on our side, it's how determined we are to bring our reunion full circle and win the BOW Tag Team Championships. It's all well and good wanting to challenge ourselves and face new teams that weren't around the last time we were a team, aye, but we're no happy with just that. We want to be the champs, and it doesn't matter who we face.

Billy Robinson: So bring on the tough teams, bring on The Northern Lights', we are ready for whoever we have to-

Mo Adebola walks into the shot with Dangermouth by his side.

Mo Adebola: There's no-one honourable here, but I'd still like to make an objection. My clients may not be here to offer their own evidence, since they are actually preparing for their semi-final match instead of running their mouths, but luckily for them I'm here as their representation. Billy, Don, The Shooters were once a great tag team. Were. Once. I'm sorry things didn't work out for Ring Of Fire and you both had to go your own ways, but your time has come and gone. My clients are the present and the future of professional wrestling, like my boy Dangermouth here. In fact, as part of their match preparations, The Northern Lights have been training my grime star here, so I want you both to pay very close attention his match later tonight, because it will be a warning for what is to come for you both.

Adebola and Dangermouth walk off, smug with satisfaction as The Shooters are left scowling.

Aud Valkyrie, Jeri Behr, Steffi Chee & Thea Davis vs Karen Bilous, K.T. Devonshire, Viper McKenna & Zofia Jankovic

In the best women’s match BOW has put on since the tag team match at BOW Reckless Abandon, it was all of the faces versus all of the heels in a good ten-minute contest that allowed every woman involved to have her moment in the spotlight and showcase herself to the audience. Zofia Jankovic was particularly effective with her time in the thick of the action, quickly becoming the standout performer in the British Omega Wrestling women’s division.

One of the stand-out aspects of this match was the fact that save for Jeri Behr, none of these women relied solely on a high-flying offence. Devonshire likes to mix her aerial arsenal with a strong technical base, while Chee and Davis are true virtuosos. Valkyrie is determinedly impactful in her approach to attacking, Jankovic overwhelms with vicious strikes, McKenna is an old-school technician and Karen Bilous will overpower any woman opposing her. In this industry women tend to be high-flyers the world over, perhaps save for Japan where there is at the very least a little more variety. As a result, this was a refreshing match for fans of female combat sports, and a good advertisement for women proving they can wrestle. The fact that high-flying wrestlers only comprise a fraction of this division (albeit it’s a particularly petite division) is clearly a statement of intent from British Omega Wrestling. That said, at least four women displayed signs of age during this match alone, meaning that half the company’s female workers are much closer to the end of their careers than the beginning, and fresh blood will need to be embedded on the roster very, very soon.

The match came to a conclusion in typical fashion for these multi-competitor bouts, with each woman hitting a signature move to write an opponent out of the match. It boiled down to Bilous and Chee, with the Canadian having no choice but to submit to the Ukrainian’s impressive Butterfly Lift-Lock.

Martin Bloydell: Karen Bilous picking up the win for her team tonight, courtesy of her very painful looking Butterfly Lift-Lock.

Melanie Florence: And she's earned herself some serious momentum ahead of the Women's Championship ladder match at For Whom The Bell Tolls, maybe even making herself the favourite going into the match.

Jackie Goldstein: Hold on a minute guys, I'm just getting word that Dunton Hall has booked a match for next week, Steffi Chee will get a chance at redemption as she faces the woman who made her submit, Karen Bilous, in one on one action.

Melanie Florence: A huge bout scheduled there guys, and you have to think it will go a long way in showing which of these women are prepared for the brutality that awaits them at the March event.

Jackie Goldstein: That's right Melanie, but hold on, because I'm now getting word that Dunton Hall is now caught up in a confrontation backstage, let's see if we can get some cameras back there!

Stevie Stoat: This is my show! You can't do this to me!

Dunton Hall: Actually Stevie, it's MY show, and you'd do well to remember that. My decision is final. If Stefan Raynor loses to Nate Manchester tonight, then The Assassins' Guild are banned from ringside for your title match.

Stevie Stoat: I don't care what you say, they will be by my side!

Dunton Hall: Stevie let me be very clear. If either Peyton or Raynor's feet touch that ringside mat during your match, you will be stripped of your World title.

Dunton Hall storms away, leaving Stoat and his associates apoplectic with rage.

Match Four:

Dangermouth.jpg.c0ea57e066d56852ab22282e1afe370c.jpg MoAdebola.jpg.8d1396686d70a58eaf9dbeaf06976d65.jpg vs.jpg.e25013b0271c00bb9923368cb32c72ee.jpg GramGorman.jpg.316f9b256b8de3695c330e72f511c63c.jpg RachelDearheart.jpg.b0ebc16fab1c78f96b0b30dadcf18438.jpg

Dangermouth w/Mo Adebola vs Gram Gorman w/Rachel Dearheart

Grime artist Dangermouth made his professional wrestling television debut tonight, walking to the ring with his own song as his entrance music and with the unscrupulous lawyer Mo Adebola by his side. In many ways Gram Gorman was the perfect opponent for him under the circumstances, being experienced enough to carry him through the match, tenacious enough to pose a legitimate threat and stiff enough to show the youngster that this is not ballet. The pair went for over ten minutes, perhaps slightly on the long side for the rookie Dangermouth, but he managed to put in a good performance thanks to the guidance of his opponent. The match itself was nothing to write home about, but good enough to introduce Dangermouth as a wrestler, as well as show what a professional Gorman truly is.

While Dangermouth’s debut had been held off until tonight, Gorman has been a consistent fixture in BOW’s first few shows, a strong performance in the Reckless Abandon ‘showcase’ battle royal and a victory over Jermaine Granger on the first episode of Night Of Wrestling giving the Northern Irish wrestler the momentum heading into this bout. The recent addition of Rachel Dearheart by his side will only serve to mask Gorman’s one weakness in his repertoire, his deficiency on the microphone, even if her presence does slightly overshadow him.

With the three matches tonight having ended in pinfall, submission and count out, a disqualification finish could not be ruled out of the equation. That is what should have occurred when JK Lee slid into the ring and rocked Gorman with a nasty clothesline from behind right on the crook of the neck, before tucking Gorman in for a gruesome looking rope-hung piledriver on the apron. Unfortunately for Gorman, the referee was connivingly distracted by both Dangermouth and Adebola, keeping the match official’s attention with unwarranted complaints about fast counting after a near-fall from Gorman just moments earlier. The attack by Lee was enough for Dangermouth to capitalise, dragging Gorman to the middle of the ring to land his Flatliner finisher for the 1-2-3.

Marbella: Ladies and gentlemen, I am joined at this time by Clubber Kohl and Eva Berlin. Eva, Kohl won tonight in dominant fashion, how do you prepare him to get in the mindset to hurt someone like that?

Eva Berlin: Well young lady, I'll let you in on a secret. I show him old video tapes of when I used to throw pretty little girls around the ring for fun. Pretty little girls like you, in fact.

Marbella: Oh, well, um, last week we saw Kohl attack several men backstage, including The Fashionistas, causing their BOW Tag Team Championship tournament match to be postponed. Did he do this under your instruction?

Eva Berlin: Would you have a problem with that if he did? If you don't like my management methods, you could do something about it.

Marbella: Um, no, I, I'm not a fighter.

Eva Berlin: No. You're not.

Marbella: I've received word that Dunton Hall intends to fine Clubber Kohl for his actions last week. How do you both feel about that punishment?

Eva Berlin: Angry. Very angry. In fact I could claw someone's eyes out right about now. Or worse, I could set Kohl on them.

Marbella: Well I think we'd better leave it there. Thanks for your time.

Eva Berlin stomps past Marbella with Clubber Kohl following. As she passes Marbella she slaps the microphone out of the interviewer's hands.

BOW_Banner.jpg.88ab92ee85116b6ffbc1543904ccd6bc.jpg

Martin Bloydell: Intimidating words from Eva Berlin there.

Melanie Florence: Poor Marbella, she really caught the brunt of Berlin's wrath there.

Martin Bloydell: She sure did Mel, we will have to ramp up security for her next time she's scheduled to interview Clubber Kohl.

Jackie Goldstein: Coming up next folks, Nate Manchester looks for revenge against Smoked Out as he takes on one half of The Assassins' Guild, Stefan Raynor.

Martin Bloydell: That's right Jackie, and as we saw earlier tonight, Dunton Hall has upped the ante for this bout, if Stefan Raynor loses then both he and Louie Peyton will be banned from ringside for Stevie Stoat's World title defence later tonight.

Melanie Florence: That's right guys, there's a lot riding on this match, and it's up next!

Stefan Raynor w/Louie Peyton vs Nate Manchester w/Royal Air Force (Jon Michael Sharp & Martin Heath)

In a good match that went for just under twelve minutes, Nate Manchester made his return to in-ring action after losing out on the BOW World Championship at Reckless Abandon thanks to his opponent Stefan Raynor, and the man accompanying Raynor to the ring, Louie Peyton. Meanwhile, Raynor (and Peyton) had something to prove to their leader Stevie Stoat which a victory here would do, with Dunton Hall’s added stipulation earlier in the night furthering the stakes for Stoat’s entourage. Jon Michael Sharp and Martin Heath joined Manchester for this match, looking to negate the anticipated nefarious intentions of Peyton at ringside.

The crowd was right behind Nate as he sought a measure of revenge against one half of The Assassins’ Guild, and the Geordie ate up their support, rallying with an impressive second-rope DDT, followed by a graceful missile dropkick. Of course, with the swing of momentum against his partner, Louie Peyton attempted to provide respite for Raynor with a distraction, occupying the ring apron to draw attention from both Manchester and the referee. Stefan attempted to capitalise on the moment by grabbing a chain from under the squared circle, only for Martin Heath to hold him up long enough for the referee to catch the two men in a tug of war over the weapon. With the referee busy confiscating the foreign object, Peyton tried to get involved again, this time going to attack Manchester, but Jon Michael Sharp provided a costly intervention to keep the playing field level. Heath joined Sharp in neutralising Peyton, and Manchester was more than capable of seeing off Raynor, hitting his Manc-Sault for the pinfall victory, meaning The Assassins’ Guild are banned from ringside for Stevie Stoat’s title defence later in the show.

After the match it looks as though The Assassins’ Guild are going to strike again, but Royal Air Force join Nate Manchester in the ring. The heels decide against an attempted assault due to their numbers disadvantage and skulk off backstage.

Once the threat has subsided Royal Air Force clap hands with their stablemate and leave the ring as Manchester obtains a microphone.

NateManchester.jpg.3e46de5cbd5d177345c3db52d84c4ae8.jpg

Nate Manchester: At this point in time the whole world and their mother knows what happened to me at Reckless Abandon. And while beating Stefan Raynor tonight felt good, it’s not enough to satisfy my thirst for revenge. You see, to me, the only way justice can be served is when I get another shot at the BOW World title. So Stevie Stoat, I’m challenging you to a match-

Before Manchester can finish his sentence, he is interrupted by the sound system kicking into gear. But it’s not the theme music of the BOW World Champion Stevie Stoat, it is the entrance music of Walker van Cleer. The Dutch superstar walks out to the ring, clutching a microphone himself.

WalkervanCleer.jpg.178f325a601f25eb84dbaf774cdf7bfe.jpg

Walker van Cleer: Oh, cry me a river. You lost your title match, get over it. Who cares if you feel cheated? Cheating happens, people interfere in matches all the time. To succeed in this business, you need to be aware of everything going on around you. You must be as smart as you are strong. Clearly you are neither. But me, I’m both. If anyone is next in line to get a shot at the World championship, it’s me. So Stoat, ignore this pipsqueak, you should put your title on the line in a match against-

This time it’s van Cleer’s turn to be intruded upon, this time it’s the music of Landon Mallory causing the distraction. The South African fan favourite comes out to the ring to the cheers of the crowd, who are eating up this confrontation.

LandonMallory.jpg.21d90ab511a0a03fa62ac75568feb00c.jpg

Mallory enters the ring, standing toe to toe with Manchester and van Cleer as he too gets handed a mic.

Landon Mallory: Ag man, you have got to be kidding me! Nate, I have all the respect in the world for you oke, but you’ve already had your shot at holding the gold. I’m sorry about how it turned out, but that’s how it goes sometimes. Walker, you and I go way, way back bro. We have fought each other all across Europe. We have exchanged victories, we have traded championships, but there is no way I am letting you have a title shot before me. I came to British Omega Wrestling to win titles, World titles, and it’s time for me to deliver on that promise. If anyone is fighting Stevie Stoat, it’s going to be me!

Walker van Cleer: You can’t be serious. Landon, I beat you for the VWA European Championship back in October, what makes you think you are ahead of me in the line?

Landon Mallory: Well I’d be happy to rectify that defeat right now, then we can see who’s front of the line.

Landon Mallory stands toe to toe with Walker van Cleer, neither man wanting to give up an inch.

Eventually Nate Manchester squeezes between them.

Nate Manchester: Hold up, you guys want a match to decide this? How about next week the three of us come back down to this ring, a three-way match, winner faces Stevie Stoat for the belt at For Whom The Bell Tolls? Sounds fair to me.

Landon Mallory: I’m down with that, I’ll happily beat the both of you.

Walker van Cleer: If that’s what it takes to get my shot, then you’re on.

The trio drop their microphones and exchange tense glares at one another. For a second it looks like they may get physical, but eventually the three men go their separate ways.

The Foreign Legion (Jacques DuPont & Pierre DuPont) vs Future X (Eric Future & Petey Barnes)

Every so often in professional wrestling a match comes along that isn’t overwhelmed with star talent, doesn’t have a plethora of fanfare behind it, and hasn’t been built up in any sort of special fashion, but somehow manages to resonate with the audience and become one of the best matches put on by the company. This was the case tonight for The Foreign Legion and Future X in their quarter-final tournament match, as the two teams outdid everything else BOW had offered fans in terms of in-ring action up until this point.

Perhaps the blueprint of the match is what gave the crowd such a great encounter, with Jacques and Pierre DuPont being strong technicians able to control the contest against the easy-to-cheer babyfaces Eric Future and Petey Barnes as they attempted to up the speed of the bout to their more comfortable frantic pace. Maybe the only drawback to this back-and-forth match is that it only went on for ten minutes, as fans would have easily eaten up another ten more.

Though far from a spot-fest, there were a handful of moments that stood out in this lauded competition. Jacques DuPont German Suplexed Petey Barnes into the turnbuckle, Eric Future hit a beautiful looking avalanche arm drag on Pierre, launching the Frenchman across the ring from the top rope. The Foreign Legion combined an Alabama Slam with a Backstabber, and Future X’s sleek leg sweep/drop kick combination was followed by each man landing nice consecutive Standing Moonsaults on their prone opponent. Stereo Hip Tosses from The Foreign Legion caused members of Future X to collide mid-air and almost scored the twins the victory, but it was actually Eric Future who stretched over to lift his partner’s arm from the mat to force Petey Barnes’ shoulder up milliseconds before the ref’s hand slapped the mat for the three count.

The awesome match came to a conclusion in a relatively simple fashion, with Petey Barnes avoiding the Napoleon’s Revenge to tag in Eric Future. Together they dispatched of Pierre before landing the Future Shock on Jacques, scoring the pinfall to advance to the next round of the tournament.

Match Seven:

KonradMakinen.jpg.3ce8fa56bfce6f0bb2481b214524dc99.jpg vs.jpg.e25013b0271c00bb9923368cb32c72ee.jpg MerleOCurle.jpg.a901db76969096c0687b3ce18f69e0ce.jpg

Konrad Makinen vs Merle O’Curle

Another match that really hit the mark tonight, continuing a very strong second hour of Night Of Wrestling, the only black mark against this match is that it came after the Tag Team Championship Tournament match. Nethertheless, Makinen and O’Curle are two durable, talented performers and with them making up 50% of the field for the Honour Championship match at For Whom The Bell Tolls, this was a great chance for one of them to build some momentum ahead of that match. Add the attack by O’Curle on Makinen backstage last week and this was a bout full of tension.

Makinen began the bout full of energy, spurred on by his desire for revenge following the assault last week by his opponent. O’Curle had other ideas though, consciously evasive to both avoid the wrath of the Swede and preserve himself ahead of the four-way match in under a month’s time. This saw a bulk of the ten-minute match descend into a game of cat and mouse, the wily veteran in Merle O’Curle doing his best to escape justice at the hands of Konrad Makinen, happy enough to bend the rules and maximise his time on the outside of the ring to do so.

Luckily for Konrad, he did finally manage to get his hands on O’Curle and goad the Irishman into fighting him in the ring. Makinen’s fists and O’Curle’s mat work were a contrast in styles but led to good combat between the two, though neither were seemingly able to put the other away. Makinen was unable to apply his Swedish Grapevine submission, and O’Curle couldn’t lock in the Celtic Wreath, so innovation was going to be the match winner in this one. It came in the form of a reversal when Konrad Makinen managed to counter O’Curle’s piledriver attempt into a Jackknife pin to score the victory.

Winner: Konrad Makinen via pinfall.

Konrad Makinen has his hand raised in the air by referee Humphrey Woolsey when all of a sudden he is attacked from behind by Lenny Mochin.

LennyMochin.jpg.e86aa35f0fd9ea6cb6968d630818f574.jpg

Mochin continues to beat down on Makinen and O'Curle gets back to his feet. O'Curle looks across at Mochin, shrugs his shoulders and exits the ring, clearly not wanting to interject himself on behalf of the man who just defeated him.

Mochin hoists up Makinen in his Eye Of The Storm Butterfly Powerbomb, slamming him to the mat to put an exclamation point on the attack.

Jackie Goldstein: Ladies and gentlemen, during the break we were informed that Lenny Mochin and Konrad Makinen will go one on one next week, following Mochin's attack on Makinen moments ago.

Melanie Florence: That match is going to have serious consequences for the upcoming BOW Honour Championship match at For Whom The Bell Tolls, and next week is shaping up to be a stacked card!

Martin Bloydell: You're right about that Mel, but that's next week and we still have one more match to come tonight. Up next is the British Omega Wrestling World Championship match, as 'The Dread Pirate' Hugh de Aske challenges 'The Smasher' Stevie Stoat, with The Assassins' Guild banned from ringside.

Melanie Florence: Will Stoat make his first successful defence, or will Hugh de Aske steal the booty that is the BOW World title belt? Let's find out!

Hugh de Aske vs BOW World Champion Stevie Stoat

Tonight, The Foreign Legion vs Future X became the best match seen in a British Omega Wrestling ring. That streak lasted for less than half an hour as this high stakes World title match blew it (and every other BOW match) out of the water. Despite some indications that Stoat is on the downward trend in his capabilities between the ropes, he was still able to put on a classic with ‘The Dread Pirate’ Hugh de Aske here, who himself showed exactly why he is employed by various wrestling promotions across the globe. There’s no doubt he has a future at a much grander scale than the position he currently occupies in the industry, and with performances like this it would be no surprise to see Hugh working for one of the biggest companies in the world sooner rather than later. This show stealer of a bout was thirteen minutes of action blended perfectly with storytelling as Stoat looked to keep his fingers clinging to the most prestigious prize in British wrestling outside of 21CW.

Without his cronies able to assist him with their underhanded methods, Stoat struggled to handle the whirlwind that was de Aske, with the Belgian utilising everything he is good at (which is everything) to bring it to the champion. He got the better of the champion in mat-based tussles, he bested him in back-and-forth fist fights, and he sank him with cannonballing aerial shots. And in doing so he won the admiration of the red-hot crowd. But he couldn’t yet find the finishing touch to win the match.

The World champion showed his years of experience with his resourcefulness, not relying on his banished lackeys to do his cheating for him. He tried to bend whatever rule he could to halt the pirate in his tracks and gain the upper hand. He ripped the padding off one turnbuckle to distract the referee, only to forcefully boot Hugh de Aske in the groin while match official Roy Worrall was attempting to reattach the cover to the exposed turnbuckle. It dastardly deed paid off as the low blow went undetected, kicking the momentum into the champion’s favour.

This time it was Hugh de Aske’s turn to withstand an onslaught, with Stevie Stoat methodically slowing the pace down to assert his authority on the combat. He would continue to test the limits of Roy Worrall, realising that he’d keep his belt in a disqualification loss. He pummelled de Aske in the corner well past the ref’s five count, until Worrall interjected himself between the competitors to separate the action rather than call for the bell. He raked the eyes of his challenger in front of the referee, but it was Hugh de Aske who saved the match from ending, pleading with Worrall not to end the match. Stoat was infuriated at his inability to lose this way, even pushing Worrall, and screaming in his face to disqualify him – Worrall responded with a shove of his own that earned him a huge cheer from the rowdy crowd.
Stoat’s attempts to challenge the official’s authority were his own undoing, allowing Hugh de Aske back into the match with a thunderous cutter that nearly scored him a pinfall win. From there, the pendulum of momentum swung with ferocity, neither man able to take command of the contest. Stoat avoiding a lariat almost saw the challenger slam into the ref, but he managed to halt his run just in time. However, Hugh turned and was almost struck with Stevie Stoat’s Super Kick, but his reactions were just sharp enough to duck at the right moment. Unfortunately for the unsuspecting Roy Worrall, he was not quick to respond, and the champion’s boot connected with his jaw to wipe him out.

The momentary pause in the match gave the calculating Stoat the opportunity to throw Hugh shoulder first between the turnbuckle into the ring post. He looked to retrieve a weapon while the referee was down, but he was distracted by The Assassins’ Guild who arrived on the entrance stage to join their leader. Remembering Dunton Hall’s threat, Stoat raced up to the pair as they descended the ramp, spit flying from his reddened face as he screamed at them, infuriated. He reminded them of Hall’s warning that they can’t step on the ringside mats, physically pushing them away back up the ramp. He dragged his cronies back up the ramp and demanded they leave the arena as Hugh de Aske regained his composure in the ring.

Dispatching of The Assassins’ Guild to the backstage area, Stoat turned back to face the ring to the sight of Hugh de Aske back on his feet, challenging the champion to come and fight him like a man. Stoat seemed to comply, marching back to the ring. Unfortunately for Hugh his laser focus on Stoat left him blind to Clubber Kohl sliding into the ring, levelling the pirate from behind. The War Dog was unrelenting in his attack, wiping de Aske out with his Hamburg Express Powerslam. Still foaming at the mouth, Kohl seemed finished with his attack as he stood over the fallen Belgian. Stoat waited tentatively for Kohl to be escorted away from the crime scene by a smirking Eva Berlin, before sliding in and claiming the scraps as he hooked de Aske’s leg and waited, albeit impatiently, for the semi-conscious Worrall to crawl to the centre of the ring and count the pin.

Comments: Since Future X I assume that The Fashionistas are heel and advancing to face Future X

Hardcore Match:
Milton Hittlespitz vs Night Spyder w/Laurel Wreath
Comments: I can see Matthew Macks costing Night Spyder the match, or accidentally costing Milton the match, so I am going with Night Spyder.

I'm a big fan of that original VWA roster, so happy to see guys like Macks, Night Spyder, Walker van Cleer, Jason Dempsey and Landon Mallory getting prominent roles in BOW.

BOW Night Of Wrestling #4:

BOW World Championship #1 Contender Match:
Three-Way Match:
Landon Mallory vs Nate Manchester vs Walker van Cleer
Comments: Trying to make sure I don't get my wires crossed with NWF - I think Nate is the safe pick, but I think Manchester/Stoat is a match you run back later down the line. If Nate wins, do you have him lose again? If he were to win then beat Stoat, it feels like it cuts the legs out from him before he even got going. Going with Mallory since WVC interrupted Nate first, could see Landon vs Stoat and Manchester vs WVC at the event.

BOW Tag Team Championship Tournament Quarter Finals:
The Fashionistas (Gianfranco Morelli & Roberto Milano) w/Holly Leves vs The X Force (Christopher Lister & Eric Future)
Comments: Coinflip, the deciding factor for me was having a face/heel bout in the semifinals. I could see The Fashionistas losing because they aren't 100% after the attack from a 2 weeks ago, but I'm leaning in the heel's favor.

Hardcore Match:
Milton Hittlespitz vs Night Spyder w/Laurel Wreath
Comments: Going to double down - if Spyder cost Macks his match last week, the same thing will happen this week.

Konrad Makinen vs Lenny Mochin
Comments: Same logic to the reason I thought Merle would win last week, but this time for a younger Brit getting the rub

Karen Bilous vs Steffi Chee
Comments: Could be Steffi getting her win back, but Karen Bilous is an absolute monster of a woman and I think she squashes Steffi

Royal Air Force (Jon Michael Sharp & Martin Heath) vs Strife & Wild Child:
Comments: RAF is such brilliant branding for one of the best (bland) teams that aren't signed by a major company. Easy win for them

Glen Ward w/Gavin Owen vs Jason Dempsey
Comments: Dempsey has been getting some mic time, and I think he snags a win here as the Brit needs to build up his cred in front of his home country, having cut his teeth in Europe for so long

Three-Way Match:
Landon Mallory vs Nate Manchester vs Walker van Cleer
Comments: A guess, I don't think Manchester should be next given there are so many challengers

BOW Tag Team Championship Tournament Quarter Finals:
The Fashionistas (Gianfranco Morelli & Roberto Milano) w/Holly Leves vs The X Force (Christopher Lister & Eric Future)
Comments: I LOVR X FORCE

Hardcore Match:
Milton Hittlespitz vs Night Spyder w/Laurel Wreath
Comments: Big Hittlespitz fan, but this one is Spyders

Konrad Makinen vs Lenny Mochin
Comments: Toss Up

Karen Bilous vs Steffi Chee
Comments: Personal Preference

Royal Air Force (Jon Michael Sharp & Martin Heath) vs Strife & Wild Child:
Comments: Named tag team

Glen Ward w/Gavin Owen vs Jason Dempsey
Comments: Ward is solid

It's time for the pick making master to do his thing! Woot, woot! (once again, guessing on everything. I refuse to be logical about this)

BOW Night Of Wrestling #4:

BOW World Championship #1 Contender Match:
Three-Way Match:
Landon Mallory vs Nate Manchester vs Walker van Cleer
Comments: Because his family founded a very well known city. The Mancheters of Manchester obviously have high expectations for their son.

BOW Tag Team Championship Tournament Quarter Finals:
The Fashionistas (Gianfranco Morelli & Roberto Milano) w/Holly Leves vs The X Force (Christopher Lister & Eric Future)
Comments: Becuase they are past of a well known superhero team of Mutants so they should clearly have an edge over their human opponents.

Hardcore Match:
Milton Hittlespitz vs Night Spyder w/Laurel Wreath
Comments: Spiders are way cooler and scarier than a Hittlespitz. Especially spiders at night!

Konrad Makinen vs Lenny Mochin
Comments: Becuase I picked the other dude a couple times already. Seems like that means the other guy will win.

Karen Bilous vs Steffi Chee
Comments: Because I recognize her name.

Royal Air Force (Jon Michael Sharp & Martin Heath) vs Strife & Wild Child:
Comments: Royal Air Force becuase they jets, bombers, missiles and stuff.

Glen Ward w/Gavin Owen vs Jason Dempsey
Comments: Because I work with a guy named Ward and he's a prick.

Nate Manchester is stood backstage with his fellow Three Lions stablemates Jon Michael Sharp and Martin Heath beside him. He speaks directly into the camera.

Nate Manchester: Tonight, this Lion starts his climb back to the top of mountain when I face Landon Mallory and Walker van Cleer for the right to face Stevie Stoat at For Whom The Bell Tolls with the World title on the line. Well, there’s no bell ringing tonight. Instead you will hear this lion’s roar.

WalkervanCleer.jpg.9b80a194a7bc194d2ded3b48f52aa732.jpg

Walker van Cleer is stood in a separate backstage area.

Walker van Cleer: For years I was overlooked no matter how good I was. It didn’t matter what I did, I was always second fiddle to you Landon Mallory. But that ends here. It is my destiny to add the British Omega Wrestling World Championship to my belt collection, and if I have to slaughter a springbok and a lion to do so, then that is exactly what I will do.

BOW_Banner.jpg.6f9d6fe51ca15a32a8be54e4e60eb5ef.jpg

LandonMallory.jpg.3104fbee78f6d6a1ce0bad83f1733bca.jpg

Landon Mallory stands in another backstage location.

Landon Mallory: Tonight is the night, oke. Tonight I go to war with Nate Manchester and Walker van Cleer. We are going to fight each other; we are going to hurt each other. But when the night is over, two men will be left lying on the mat, while I stand above them, hand raised in victory. I will conquer them both so that I can go on and fight for the BOW World title. I have conquered Europe. It’s time to conquer Britain.

Martin Bloydell: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to BOW Night Of Wrestling, I’m Martin Bloydell, joined by Melanie Florence and Jackie Goldstein and boy do we have a show for you tonight!
Melanie Florence: We sure do Martin, in the main event we have Nate Manchester, Walker van Cleer and Landon Mallory in a three-way match. The winner will face BOW World Champion Stevie Stoat for the title at For Whom The Bell Tolls!

Jackie Goldstein: We also have the next match in the BOW Tag Team Championship tournament, as The Fashionistas challenge The X Force for the right to face Future X in the semi-finals. Meanwhile the two teams in the other semi-final match will come face to face in a backstage interview. What are the thoughts ahead of The Shooters and The Northern Lights ahead of their match next week?

Melanie Florence: After tapping out to Karen Bilous in the eight-woman tag team match last week, Steffi Chee has a chance at redemption as she goes one on one with the woman who made her submit last week.

Martin Bloydell: Night Spyder faces ‘Crazy Blue’ Milton Hittlespitz in a hardcore match, having cost Matthew Macks his return match last week against Magnus Cage, and you’ve gotta wonder if the Irish Daredevil has revenge on his mind.

Melanie Florence: Two of the four men competing for the BOW Honour Championship will go one on one tonight ahead of that title match at For Whom The Bell Tolls, with Lenny Mochin facing the man he attacked last week, Konrad Makinen.

Martin Bloydell: But coming up first, we have a man who wants to challenge the first ever holder of that belt in action, as Jason Dempsey faces Glen Ward, and Jackie has made his way to the ring for the introductions, so that match is now!

BOW_Banner.jpg.6f9d6fe51ca15a32a8be54e4e60eb5ef.jpg

Match One:

JasonDempsey.jpg.8d9e762fa0b4d0bc1460a346270ef8a3.jpg vs.jpg.1bf6662e3d515e60b3263195306b5514.jpg GlenWard.jpg.7fe1d56b76db4c9d2b4b88541485860e.jpg GavinOwen.jpg.a30919e9d93adeeb94933c3ec1b0b713.jpg

Jason Dempsey vs Glen Ward w/Gavin Owen

In the first match of the night, Jason Dempsey went one on one with Glen Ward, who had his tag team partner Gavin Owen at ringside. Both men have a similar style, with Ward presenting an angry intensity when taking it to his opponent, while Dempsey is a tenacious scrapper who will never give up fighting. Their characters blend well on paper, leading to an eight-minute match where it was easy to get behind the babyface Dempsey as he attempted to overcome Ward.

Though not bad, the match did not pull up trees either, and the paint-by-numbers contest came to an end when Dempsey was able to prevent Gavin Owen’s attempted distraction by knocking him off the ring rope, and follow up by reversing Glen Ward’s attempted roll up into a Face Waffle to score the pinfall victory and continue building momentum as he attempts to earn a shot at the BOW Honour Championship in the future.

JasonDempsey.jpg.8d9e762fa0b4d0bc1460a346270ef8a3.jpg

Winner: Jason Dempsey by pinfall.

BOW_Banner.jpg.6f9d6fe51ca15a32a8be54e4e60eb5ef.jpg

Martin Bloydell: A big win for Jason Dempsey as his pursuit of a title shot continues.

Melanie Florence: If he can keep this momentum up, there is no reason why he can't be the first challenger to whoever wins the BOW Honour Championship at For Whom The Bell Tolls.

Martin Bloydell: For sure Melanie, and two of the four men vying for that championship will be facing each other later tonight as Lenny Mochin and Konrad Makinen go one on one, but right now let's head to the back, where Marbella is being joined by Eva Berlin and Clubber Kohl.

BOW_Banner.jpg.6f9d6fe51ca15a32a8be54e4e60eb5ef.jpg

EvaBerlin.jpg.0aeb0bf8c37c47d0f29fb14b22db7eff.jpgClubberKohl.jpg.2f00cc67312cec393f6befec760bc8c0.jpg Marbella.jpg.737124bfe75f775d2c1a4d2744b672fa.jpg

Eva Berlin and Clubber Kohl are stood backstage with Marbella.

Marbella: Eva, you and Clubber Kohl requested this time to address the BOW locker room. What is it you wish to say?

Eva Berlin: First of all, mind your manners and address me as Ms. Berlin, or do I have to slap some sense into you?

Marbella’s grasp on the microphone trembles. Berlin notices and snatches the microphone from the interviewer’s grasp.

Eva Berlin: Pathetic.

Berlin shoves Marbella out of the way and stares into the camera.

Eva Berlin: Last week was a nice palette cleanser for Kohl as he was able to let out a little frustration in the ring. Not only did he hobble a kickboxer, but he threw a pirate overboard, just for fun. Unfortunately for the locker room, Kohl is still not satisfied. ‘The War Dog’ needs a new chew toy to rip apart. So, we’re looking for victims. Any man out there who wishes to try and get this violent beast to heel is welcome to try, but you won’t be able to. So, step up to the challenge if you dare.

Eva Berlin slams the microphone into Marbella’s chest with a thump. She and Kohl turn to leave, but as they do so the camera zooms out to reveal ‘Captain Crash’ Cain Carlile stood in their path.

CainCarlile.jpg.b61dbdf5b64d180fa860b15d82d981dc.jpg

Cain Carlile: Hey, that’s no way to treat her! I’m not going to stand here and watch as you try and intimidate this poor woman.

Eva Berlin smirks.

Eva Berlin: Oh yeah? Well what are you going to do about it little man?

Cain Carlile: I might be little, but some of the littlest guys turn out to be the biggest heroes, like Frodo! Heck, Luke Skywalker was too short to be a Stormtrooper, but he was still able to bring down the Empire! The way I see it you’re nothing but a pair of big bullies who needs to learn a lesson. So I, ‘Captain Crash’ Cain Carlile accept your challenge for next week.

Eva Berlin laughs. Even Clubber Kohl almost cracks a smile.

Eva Berlin: You? Didn’t you learn what happens to people in Kohl’s path of destruction two weeks ago? Back down little man.

Clubber Kohl steps into Carlile’s space, his hulking figure towering over the lightweight. Still, the determined youngster stands his ground, despite being visibly intimidated.

Eva Berlin: Fine, if you won’t step aside now, you’ll have to learn the hard way. See you next week.

Berlin leads Kohl away, and Carlile breathes a huge sigh of relief after the pair are gone.

Marbella: Thank you.

Marbella hugs Carlile. Initially he’s thrilled with the embrace, but his expression turns fearful as he looks across at where Kohl was stood.

BOW Tag Team Championship Quarter Finals:
The X Force vs The Fashionistas w/Holly Leves

This was a fun match that lasted ten minutes, with the lovable reunited veterans Christopher Lister and Jase Cole trying to best the rambunctious heels Gianfranco Morelli and Roberto Milano, and their wailing banshee of a new manager, Holly Leves. The crowd got really into this match, the theatrics of The Fashionistas making the crowd desperate to see The X Force overcome them.

The Fashionistas played up to the attack they suffered at the hands of Clubber Kohl a couple of weeks ago, wearing an over-the-top array of bandages, casts and braces all encrusted with shimmering jewels. They were still able to perform their usual schtick during their entrance, this time using crutches to descend the catwalk, before hilariously running back up the ramp to perform their next walk.

During the match it didn’t take long for the heels to utilise their new attire as weapons, clubbing Jase Cole with forearm casts that they clearly didn’t need. This led to a funny spot with referee Roy Worrall inspecting Gianfranco Morelli’s forearm cast, only for it to smack Roberto Milano in the face as the match official pulled it off the Italian’s arm. Their manager Holly Leves tried to interject herself into the action at one point but was caught tugging at the leg of Christopher Lister and sent to the back.

The babyfaces were finally able to gain momentum once Cole made the hot tag to Lister, and he brought down the heels with several clotheslines, before dispatching of Milano and combining with Jase Cole to hit an A-Lister to win and progress to the semi-finals.

Martin Bloydell: The X Force progress to the semi finals of the BOW Tag Team Championship tournament, where they will face Future X.

Melanie Florence: Both teams have an extensive history, and want to be crowned the first BOW Tag Team Champions, that should be a hell of a match!

Martin Bloydell: You have to think it will be Mel, but I'm getting word we need to move to the backstage area, where the cameras have caught Smoked Out in a heated confrontation!

Smoked Out are stood backstage, The Assassins’ Guild look disappointed as Stoat snarls at them.

Stevie Stoat: Last week, not only did you lose to Manchester, but you almost cost me my World title. You two need to get your act together if you want to stand by my side.

Louie Peyton: You’re right.

Stefan Raynor: Sorry boss.

Stevie Stoat: Sorry? Oh, you’re sorry? Sorry don’t mean sh*t. If you were really sorry, you’ll get your act together and handle business. Starting tonight.

Louie Peyton: Yes sir.

Stevie Stoat turns to leave.

Stefan Raynor: What’s the plan boss?

Stoat turns back round to his lackeys, his sour face even more bitter than usual.

Stevie Stoat: You figure it out. I’m out of here.

Stoat turns once again and storms away from the pair, who are left to absorb his warning.

Further down the corridor in the backstage area, a still enraged Stevie Stoat is heading towards the exit. He stops in his tracks as an equally irate looking Clubber Kohl and Eva Berlin stop in front of him.

Eva Berlin: You still owe us for last week.

Berlin prods Stoat, her finger deliberately pressing into the BOW World Championship belt laid over Stoat’s shoulder.

Instinctively, Stevie Stoat grabs her hand and removes it from the gold, which causes Kohl to growl.

Stoat lets go of Berlin’s hand, and the two Germans give the champion one final glare before departing.
Stoat watches them go, his face twitching in anger.

BOW_Banner.jpg.6f9d6fe51ca15a32a8be54e4e60eb5ef.jpg

Jackie Goldstein: Wow, first Stevie Stoat demands The Assassins' Guild take care of their, um, business, and then he's confronted by 'The War Dog' Clubber Kohl and his handler, Eva Berlin!

Melanie Florence: The challengers keep lining up for Stoat, and his clutch on the BOW World Championship would be in serious jeopardy if he has to give Kohl a shot.

Martin Bloydell: That's if he's even champ by then Mel, as we have the huge three-way match coming up later tonight to determine who will face Stevie Stoat at For Whom The Bell Tolls.

Jackie Goldstein: We sure do, Landon Mallory, Walker van Cleer and Nate Manchester all want a shot at the World Champion, and one of them will earn it tonight.

Martin Bloydell: Coming up next though we switch gears to the BOW Honour Championship, as two of the four men who will fight to win that belt compete tonight, with Konrad Makinen taking on the man who attacked him last week, Lenny Mochin!

Match Three:

Lenny Mochin vs Konrad Makinen

The latest saga in the build towards the BOW Honour Championship four-way match at For Whom The Bell Tolls continued tonight as Lenny Mochin and Konrad Makinen went head to head, with Makinen seeking revenge following Mochin’s attack last week.

Rumour has it that both men along with Padraig O’Hearne are seen as future stars of the company by BOW owner and head booker Dunton Hall, with reports that they are even described as the company’s three pillars internally. It bodes well for him then that this bout between two of them was a good match, and the ten-minute encounter was further enhanced by the fact that Lenny and Konrad showed excellent chemistry as opponents. It perhaps could have been better, with Makinen seeming a bit off his game tonight, but the crowd was very receptive to this contest, as it seems the four competitors in the upcoming title match are starting to get over with the audience.

Konrad Makinen worked well as the vengeful aggressor, blinkered in pursuit of revenge for Mochin’s attack. Mochin expertly used Makinen’s rage against him, first further fuelling Makinen’s rage by avoiding combat by dropping out of the ring at every opportunity. He would then use the babyface’s own motivations against him, luring the Makinen into traps when the Swedish wrestler was in hot pursuit to take control of the match.

Once Mochin had slowed the pace down to take control of the contest, he began to get cocky, adding slaps to the back of Makinen’s head as he had him locked in an abdominal stretch for example. Of course this would come back to bite him, as Makinen managed to fight out from under Mochin, and now he was in control, and finally had his hands on the man who wronged him the week prior.

From there Makinen worked hard to punish his opponent, driving clubbing blows into Mochin’s face and contorting his body to set up for his Swedish Grapevine finisher. He did manage to lock the hold in at one point, but Mochin was close enough to the ropes to eventually drag himself to safety. The damage appeared done though, with Mochin absorbing the referee’s attention as he bellowed in pain in the corner of the ring.

MerleOCurle.jpg.19ca52a3364693649c5d50624365553e.jpg

Mochin’s injury provided enough of a distraction to allow Merle O’Curle to slide into the ring unnoticed and clock Makinen with a violent elbow. The move itself did not drop the Swede but rocked him long enough for O’Curle to retreat back up the ramp. As Makinen attempted to regain composure, he looked to exit the ring and chase after the Irishman who had wronged him, however Mochin sprung out from the corner to prevent Makinen’s departure, landing his Eye Of The Storm for the tainted victory.

Winner: Lenny Mochin via pinfall.

Merle O’Curle makes his way back to the ring, and he and Lenny Mochin continue to beat down on Makinen as Padraig O’Hearne races to the ring. Realising their numbers advantage has been negated, and not wanting to engage in a fair fight, the two devious heels flee the ring.

O’Hearne helps Makinen to his feet, the two exchanging a tense look momentarily before turning back to ensure the dastardly duo of O’Curle and Mochin have vacated the arena.

BOW_Banner.jpg.6f9d6fe51ca15a32a8be54e4e60eb5ef.jpg

Jackie Goldstein: Padraig O'Hearne saving one of his For Whom The Bell Tolls opponents Konrad Makinen from a beatdown at the hands of his two other opponents at the event.

Melanie Florence: Lenny Mochin and Merle O'Curle may have been unable to continue their assault on Makinen after the bell, but O'Curle cost Makinen the match tonight, giving Mochin some momentum heading into the title match.

Martin Bloydell: Not only that guys, but I'm hearing that next week Padraig O'Hearne will go one on one with Merle O'Curle, and then in two weeks time, O'Hearne and Makinen will team up to face O'Curle and Mochin, just days before the four-way title match at For Whom The Bell Tolls!

Jackie Goldstein: That is two huge match announcements which will go a long way in determining who takes the advantage into the match at For Whom The Bell Tolls.

Melanie Florence: Absolutely!

Martin Bloydell: And speaking of tag team wrestling, that's the action we have for you next folks, as Royal Air Force take on the team of Strife and Wild Child!

Strife and Wild Child vs Royal Air Force

Though they have been a feature of BOW shows since the company debuted with their Reckless Abandon event at the end of January, this was actually the in-ring debut of Royal Air Force for the company. Their first BOW match saw them face the duo of Strife and Wild Child, daredevils who are happy to throw caution to the wind to perform a jaw-dropping move. Though coming up against two singles wrestlers indicated this would be a victory for the tag team experts, they still had to participate in what turned out to be a very fun, very competitive ten-minute affair before scoring their expected win.

In this chaotic match, Strife nailed Martin Heath with a DDT from the top rope to the ring apron, Jon Michael Sharp landed a double diving clothesline from the top rope on to both his opponents on the outside, and Wild Child vaulted over the ringside announce table to land a senton on Heath. It was when Royal Air Force were finally able to bring matters into the ring for an extended period of time that they were able to maintain control of the contest, with both men combining to land their team’s finishing move, the Disarmer, a unison codebreaker to each of the opponent’s arms, on Strife, with Martin Heath hooking the leg for the 1-2-3.

Winners: Royal Air Force by pinfall.

Royal Air Force celebrate their victory in the ring by climbing the turnbuckles and raising their arms. But with their backs turned, they fail to notice The Assassins’ Guild slide into the ring behind them.

The Smoked Out tag team leather their rivals from behind, laying into them with cruel intentions as they beat down the already battle-worn duo.

They finally relent, slinking away satisfied with their underhanded act as both Jon Michael Sharp and Martin Heath writhe around on the mat in pain.

BOW_Banner.jpg.6f9d6fe51ca15a32a8be54e4e60eb5ef.jpg

Jackie Goldstein: Royal Air Force score their first win in BOW, but are immediately taken down by The Assassins' Guild.

Martin Bloydell: Things are really heating up between the Three Lions and Smoked Out, these two factions have been at each others throat's since the start of British Omega Wrestling, and one has to think it will reach boiling point soon.

Melanie Florence: That's guaranteed Martin, and I'm sure Royal Air Force will have retribution on their mind for this attack. Speaking of retribution, Steffi Chee looks to avenge her loss in the eight-woman tag team match last week, as she takes on the woman who made her tap out last week, Karen Bilous.

Match Five:

KarenBilous.jpg.9437ee3da7b6f47e52ac96fb69602688.jpg vs.jpg.1bf6662e3d515e60b3263195306b5514.jpg SteffiChee.jpg.c2364202a3e4cf0b7428c4a43dca206b.jpg

Karen Bilous vs Steffi Chee

After tapping out to Bilous’ Butterfly Lift-Lock last week, Steffi Chee attempted to earn some retribution and regain some momentum heading into the Women’s Championship ladder match at For Whom The Bell Tolls. Unfortunately for her that is much easier said than done when coming up against ‘The Pain From The Ukraine’ as Bilous is easily the most physically imposing woman on the BOW roster.

Chee decided that taking it to Bilous early doors was the best way to approach this match, bringing it to her opponent with a flurry of hit-and-move combinations to prevent the Ukrainian gaining any momentum. That tactic was effective when working, but as soon as Bilous was able to get her hands on Chee, the tides shifted and Bilous rocked the Canadian with distance-clearing throws that the former European’s Strongest Woman made look ridiculously easy.

Once Bilous had halted Chee’s early onslaught it was one-way traffic, and Bilous spent the rest of what would end up being an eight-minute match dominating Chee, before finally putting the contest to bed with a successive submission victory over Chee, forcing the Canadian veteran to forfeit after locking in her Butterfly Lift-Lock for the second week in a row.

Nicole Phillips is stood backstage with Aud Valkyrie beside a monitor which shows Karen Bilous celebrating in the ring.

Nicole Phillips: Aud Valkyrie, we have just seen Karen Bilous force Steffi Chee to tap out for the second week in a row. Clearly, she is one of the favourites heading into the ladder match for the BOW Women’s title at For Whom The Bell Tolls. How are you preparing to compete with her at the event?

Aud Valkyrie: Karen Bilous is a strong woman, no doubt about it. But strength alone does not a champion make. And it doesn’t matter who she makes tap out, because submissions don’t count in a ladder match. But there is nothing she can do- or any other woman for that matter- can do to stop me climbing that ladder and claiming the championship.

Zofia Jankovic: We will see about that.

ZofiaJankovic.jpg.dbd2012470c77af83619c2b6bf293184.jpg

Zofia Jankovic walks into the shot, completely bypassing Phillips to come face to face with Valkyrie.

Zofia Jankovic: You may be a Valkyrie, guiding the souls of the dead to Valhalla, but I am The Black Widow, it’s my bite that makes the dead. At For Whom The Bell Tolls, that will be you.

Aud Valkyrie: Oh you wanna bet? Well why should we wait? I’m not afraid of spiders. How about you and me in a match next week?

Zofia Jankovic: Oh I’d like that very much.

Aud Valkyrie: You and me both. I’ll show you what happens to a Black Widow when you crush it. The same thing that happens to every other spider; it dies.

The two women stare down one another, unwavering in their intense stares.

JK Lee: What’s this?

Rachel Dearheart: It’s a front row ticket to next week’s show. Gram got it for you. He said that since you like seeing his matches up close, you might want a seat for the next one.

Dearheart storms away, leaving Lee to chew as he looks down at the ticket, irritated by the obvious slight.

Nicole Phillips is stood in the backstage interview area with Stuart Wilson by her side.

Nicole Phillips: Ladies and gentlemen, I’m moments away from conducting the pre-match interview of The Shooters and The Northern Lights ahead of their semi-final match next week, but before we begin, Stuart Wilson has requested some time. So Stuart, what’s on your mind?

Stuart Wilson: Aye, thanks for the time Nicole. I wanted the chance to say how bleedin’ disgusted I am with what has been going on around here. We have a World champion in Stevie Stoat that shows no respect for the belt he’s holding. When I won my bronze medal in the Olympics, I did so with respect for the sport I was competing in, and for my opponents. Stevie Stoat and his lackeys are a disgrace to wrestling, and I’ll no have it any longer. So I’m challenging Stoat and his wee cronies to a six man match next week. Since he’s not showing our sport any respect, I’ll have to beat some into him.

Stuart Wilson purposefully walks away.

Nicole Phillips: Well there you have it, Stuart Wilson laying down the gauntlet to Smoked Out in a trios match next week. Also next week we have the first semi-final of the BOW Tag Team Championship tournament, as The Shooters go head to head with The Northern Lights. I’m delighted to have both teams join me now.

BillyRobinson.jpg.76b7c02410d50d0e47121c3cbe512d9b.jpgDonHenderson.jpg.561565300fd6c810a07f86aa04b5a117.jpg

Both teams walk into the shot, either side of the interviewer.

Nicole Phillips: Now gentlemen, Dunton Hall has ensured that there will be no physicality at this time, as if either of you attempt an attack on the other, then you will forfeit your place in the tournament. So, lets get into it. The first question is for both teams, how are you feeling heading into this important match next week? I’ll start with The Shooters.

Mo Adebola throws his arms in the air.

Mo Adebola: Sure, start with them. That makes sense. My clients have been overlooked at every opportunity in BOW, why should tonight be any different?

Billy Robinson: Oh come off it, Mo. What are you talking about?

Mo Adebola: Look back at Reckless Abandon. The Northern Lights, left off the show. So, they had to go out and make a statement themselves. Last week, you two had an exclusive interview while the only airtime my clients got was their match.

Don Henderson: Aye, an interview that you interrupted.

Mo Adebola: Of course I did. Otherwise, my clients got no representation while you two were able to shoot your mouths. It’s a plot to turn the crowd against my clients.

Billy Robinson: You’re mistaken Mo, we don’t shoot with our mouths, we shoot with our fists. We were invited to the interview last week, it’s not our fault no-one wants to hear from the meatheads behind you.

Mo Abdebola: Well be that as it may, we will take this question first, it’s only fair-

Eric Future and Petey Barnes walk into the shot.

EricFuture.jpg.0f2b9cdd9f59dcf5497152da2391d2bf.jpgPeteyBarnes.jpg.f2a7c0ce09c9019fd13dc10da5f89f57.jpg

Petey Barnes: Woah, hold on a minute, we couldn’t watch this nonsense any longer.

Eric Future: You want to talk about fair? Was it fair when your two goons attacked us at Reckless Abandon after our match?

Petey Barnes: Was it fair for Grant Taypen and Leighton Buzzard when these two assaulted them after their match?

Eric Future: Nothing involving The Northern Lights has been fair. You don’t even know what the word fair means.

Mo Adebola: That’s slander, how dare you?!

Petey Barnes: Slander? Are you serious?! Where was the lie?! Tell me when I’m telling lies. The truth is you know that we’re right.

Mo Adebola: You’re wrong.

Eric Future: Then prove it. Right here, right now. Prove that The Northern Lights can fight fair, by vowing to do so next week against Billy and Don here.

Mo Adebola: Fine! Fine, we will do it. The Northern Lights don’t need to cheat to win! Next week in the semi-final, The Northern Lights will fight fair!

Eric Future and Petey Barnes smile as Mo Adebola slowly realises he’s been tricked into making the promise.

Petey Barnes: Good.

Future X walk away having achieved what they wanted. Adebola and The Northern Lights watch them leave with vitriol in their eyes. After Barnes and Future have departed, the trio turn back to face The Shooters, who have extended their hands out.

Don Henderson: Let’s shake on it.

Billy Robinson: To fighting fair.

The Northern Lights reluctantly, and angrily, shake The Shooters’ hands. Neither duo willingly releases their grasp for a moment, pulling one another in to stand nose to nose as the camera cuts back to the ring.

Hardcore Match:
Milton Hittlespitz vs Night Spyder w/ Laurel Wreath

In a seven-minute match that got the crowd buzzing, Australia’s ‘Crazy Blue’ Milton Hittlespitz returned to the United Kingdom to face the ‘Dark Stalker’ Night Spyder, who once again had the encouragement of his personal demon Laurel Wreath by his side.

These two men have participated in countless variants of hardcore matches over the years, and though ‘hardcore’ in BOW standards is watered down compared to the offerings of the Australian company Deep Impact Wrestling where Hittlespitz hails from, or even the contests showcased by the much-closer Scottish National Promotions, this was still a violent affair that pushed the limits of ordinary men. Fortunately for them, neither Hittlespitz nor Spyder appear to be normal men, and actually relish in engaging in these sorts of matches, so the repeated use of steel chairs, metal dustbins, stop signs and chains was just another day at the office for these two.

Many anticipated the involvement of Matthew Macks in this match, seeking retribution for the loss he suffered due to Spyder’s attack in his own bout last week. Unfortunately for Hittlespitz that appearance never came, and it would be the involvement of another third-party that affected this contest’s outcome. That interference would come in the form of Spyder’s underworld enabler, with Laurel Wreath ensuring her client’s victory for the second match in a row.

Hittlespitz had been on a rampage, wielding his favoured steel chair as he repeatedly swatted at Spyder. Wreath would roll into the ring, stand between her creepy partner-in-crime and the blue haired fan favourite, daring the latter to swing the chair in her direction. Of course Hittlespitz was reluctant to strike a woman, and his inaction gave Wreath the opening, her thick, black Doc Martin’s adding weight as she punted the Aussie in his most tender appendages, claiming the weapon from his hands and cracking it into his skull, allowing Night Spyder to crawl over and score the pinfall.

Winner: Night Spyder by pinfall

BOW_Banner.jpg.6f9d6fe51ca15a32a8be54e4e60eb5ef.jpg

The camera cuts from the arena to the eerie, seemingly abandoned stairwell that Night Spyder and Laurel Wreath once occupied a few weeks back. This time, it is Matthew Macks sat on the top step, his nonchalant demeanour on display as he leans against the railing.

MatthewMacks.jpg.f8b3e2758adc396055816201f1db200d.jpg

Matthew Macks: My dark stalker, you are consumed by me. Obsessed with every breath I take. I fill your every thought. In a way, I’m flattered. Over the years we have put our bodies through torture to tear each other down. Man, the agony we’ve inflicted on each other is sickening. And then, I thought you and I had gained some sort of respect for one another. A mutual understanding. The next thing I knew, we were, dare I say it, friends. Fighting alongside each other. In my mind I thought you had got past your twisted ways. Or at least you’d moved on from making me the target of them. Boy, oh boy, was I wrong, eh? Clearly there’s still something rattling around in that deranged mind of yours. So let me knock it out of you. You like to dwell in these dark, depleted places as your crazed mind works overtime trying to justify your demented actions. So let’s fight here. Maybe that will knock some sense into you. Straighten out those knotted thoughts in your head. You and me, in a Street Fight at For Whom The Bell Tolls. Let’s end this, you sick freak.

Matthew Macks stands and walks down the stairs. As he crosses the camera, it pans to reveal graffiti on the wall: A black spider, with a large red ‘X’ over the top of it.

BOW_Banner.jpg.6f9d6fe51ca15a32a8be54e4e60eb5ef.jpg

Martin Bloydell: Matthew Macks with a huge challenge to Night Spyder there as he looks to shake off the obsession that Spyder seems to have with him.

Melanie Florence: Street Fights are violent matches where anything goes, and give both men the chance to really take it to their rival. But Martin, speaking of huge challenges, it's time for our main event, as Landon Mallory, Walker van Cleer and Nate Manchester fight for the right to challenge Stevie Stoat for the British Omega Wrestling World Championship at For Whom The Bell Tolls!

Martin Bloydell: That's right Mel, and I for one can't wait. Let's head over to Jackie Goldstein for the introductions!

WalkervanCleer.jpg.9b80a194a7bc194d2ded3b48f52aa732.jpg

BOW World Championship Number One Contender Match:
Landon Mallory vs Nate Manchester vs Walker van Cleer

The most anticipated match of the night brought together three men who all have legitimate claims to be the next challenger for BOW World Champion Stevie Stoat. Nate Manchester was arguably robbed of winning the title when Stoat’s lackeys in The Assassins’ Guild attacked him in the World Championship match in January, whereas both Mallory and van Cleer have notched up strong victories since arriving in BOW. The crowd gave this thirteen-minute match the reception it duly deserved, already buzzing as the three competitors made their entrances.

The action began with the unlikely alliance of Landon Mallory and Walker van Cleer working together to dispatch of Nate Manchester. It made sense given that the two are very familiar with one another, removing what was to them the unknown factor in the Newcastle-born ex-21CW wrestler. It also gave them a clear field to finally get their hands on each other without interruption, with the tension having been built up between the two from their respective BOW debuts until this very point.

Very experienced in fighting, Mallory and van Cleer wasted no time in going at it, their brawling talent on full display as they hammered countless fists, forearms, and elbows to gain the advantage. Walker would try to bring a more technical contest to their fight, given that he has the upper hand in that style of combat, but he struggled to find much traction. Instead, both men were wiped out by the recovering Nate Manchester, who caught both men with his Manc-Sault as they grappled in the middle of the ring. He almost scored the victory with his attempted pinfalls on each man, but both Mallory and van Cleer were able to kick out of their respective falls at the last second.

From there Nate Manchester took the advantage, using his quickness to evade Mallory and land his own speedy strikes, while van Cleer took this opportunity to recover on the outside. This portion of the match was the most testing for the audience, as two of the biggest babyfaces in BOW went face to face, splitting the crowd in their support.

Fortunately for the crowd they were reunited in booing Walker van Cleer, as it was his turn to take down both members of the opposition, waiting patiently for the perfect time to fell both Manchester and Mallory with his High Elevation Crossbody. Like Manchester before him, he was unable to score a successful pinfall despite attempting to do so on both men consecutively, but he was able now in firm control of the bout, dumping Landon Mallory to the outside in favour of working over the smaller Manchester.

Walker spent a good few minutes throwing the smaller Nate around the ring like a rag doll. He upped the intensity with every attack up until the point where it seemed like only a matter of time before van Cleer would be able to put the ‘Pride Of Britain’ away. Sensing he was close to the finish, Walker van Cleer ascended the top rope and leapt towards Manchester, arching out to land his High Elevation Crossbody once again. Manchester jumped, connecting with a huge dropkick to prevent succumbing to van Cleer’s signature move. Both men found their way back to their feet, only for Mallory to charge in, levelling both with his Springbok Ram.

Mallory tried to pin Manchester, but ‘The Real Angel Of The North’ valiantly got his shoulder up with referee Roy Worrall’s palm just millimetres from slapping the mat for the third time. Mallory then attempted to put van Cleer away with a pin, and it looked as though the Dutch competitor wasn’t going to kick out. It took Nate Manchester, barely recovered from his last-gasp match saving shoulder raise to throw his body onto both men, nullifying the pinfall attempt.

The three men dragged themselves to their feet, this physical encounter showing on their worn-out bodies. A final exchange between the three saw van Cleer down Landon Mallory with a nasty looking Pumphandle Slam, leaving him and Nate Manchester to go one on one. Manchester took the advantage, hitting a Neckbreaker before heading to the top of the turnbuckle ready to strike with his Manc-Sault.

Then The Assassins’ Guild ran out.

Stefan Raynor lept to the top of the turnbuckle, striking Manchester before pushing him off the top rope, which actually sent him colliding into Walker van Cleer who was getting to his feet. Then, both Raynor and Peyton swept into the ring, and swarmed over Nate Manchester, both attacking him before throwing him out of the squared circle through the ropes. They followed in hot pursuit, unrelenting in their vicious assault.

Back in the ring, unaware of the assault on Manchester, Mallory made his way to his feet seconds before van Cleer did. He struct while the iron was hot, landing his Springbok Ram to take down his longtime rival and score the pinfall victory.

BOW Tag Team Championship Tournament Semi-Finals:
The Northern Lights (Alton Vicious & Riddick Jordan) w/ Mo Adebola vs The Shooters (Billy Robinson & Don Henderson)
Comments: Big Northern Lights guy - you have two babyface teams on the opposite side of the bracket, so logic justifies my emotional pick

Smoked Out (Stevie Stoat, Louie Peyton & Stefan Raynor) vs Stuart Wilson and A Pair Of Aces (Grant Taypen & Leighton Buzzard)
Comments: First trios match for your top heel faction, and first win

Merle O'Curle w/Lenny Mochin vs Padraig O'Hearne w/Konrad Makinen
Comments: Gives Merle some momentum heading into the four way match - despite it being a 4 way match, the story has revolved around 3 people so far, and I think if Paddy picks up the win it won't be a straight up clean win. Of these 4, Merle has the most decorated pedigree and I can see him being the first champ of the bunch of them, even with his lost to Makinen a couple weeks ago.

Cain Carlile vs Clubber Kohl w/ Eva Berlin
Comments: Cain fills out his bump card and gets a free ice cream when he gets back to catering

Aud Valkyrie vs Zofia Jankovic
Comments: Aud's on borrowed time and Zofia is the "now" - great wrestler who just needs exposure, which wins will help with

Colin Picalo vs Matthew Macks
Comments: 0/2 on their matches the past two weeks - I'm leaning on Macks winning, but I wouldn't be surprised if Night Spyder costs him the match again...

Jeri Behr vs Viper McKenna
Comments: Both are older but Viper has the heritage and story going for her.

Gram Gorman w/Rachel Dearheart vs Puffy The Sand Iron Player:
Comments: Hopefully JK Lee doesn't cost Gram the match. I have PTSD from the Macks loss earlier now...
