Maybe there's some research to be done on the new angle system. Previously you specified which stat you're graded on (Microphone, Acting, Menace) but now the terms are more descriptive (Cutting a Promo, Working the Crowd, Character Development). Maybe Acting is a big part of some of those. Maybe it isn't. As you're the booker, I'm sure you could specialise in Acting and use it just like Microphone/Menace/Sex Appeal. You really only need one of those though, and it feels wasteful for try to do several.

Maybe players think of bad WWE sports entertainment segments when they think of 'Acting' and it feels less important than 'Microphone' for those classic promos.

It also feels like something that wouldn't be important until several years in. You're not going to be called on for dramatic pre-tapes when you're wrestling in front of 20 people. And hopefully once you're profitable enough to afford a big screen, you'll have learned some Acting skills by cutting promos and working crowds with people better and more experienced than you are.

I think any of those things are product dependent.  In terms of the challenge in ring the most important then either one of athleticism and fundamentals 2nd and 3rd.  You could actually get away with being silent ugly and not at all menacing.  You could wander out in a generic mask and in the right product get over.  Any of the performance skills other than Star Quality are bonuses.  It makes it easier to get over if you are a charismatic mic worker who is sexy and or menacing - or both but ultimately performance is the least important of the 4 fields in terms of actually reaching the end goal of RTG.

I found it hilarious that when I did the random that the best stat I got was Sex Appeal so much so that it was the only one I had to bring down to 75 ... yeah thanks randomiser.  Admittedly thats likely with the random setting "Looks like a star".  Sex Appeal wasn't much use for males until the recent patch that lets them work Eye Candy which means early you can now book yourself in those sort of bouts and get better ratings than most other things for the very early months of the game but after that it returns to being pretty useless.  I think any stat can be useful it's just sort of situational for some though.

With the random setting looks like a star you actually have a really good chance of getting high SQ and Sex appeal that you need to bring down to 75 but rarely menace at all but it might have glitched because I ended up with decent menace.  I've tried it many times just now and I dont think I ever saw it come up with double figured menace ever again.  Maybe a patch tweaked it that I didn't notice - the menace wasn't as good as SQ and Sex Appeal but still not negligible.  Oh by the way when I say decent I mean not good enough to be a Monster heel - just not under 10.  The kind of figure where you cant really use it.

With the randomiser in ring and fundamentals for trainees maxes out at 50 I believe for average skills - You can get multiple 50's but no higher.  The somewhat entertaining seems to be in the 60's.  Athleticism seems to be in the 60's for average.

Now that I think of it the simplest explanation for any mystery is normally the right one.  It wouldn't have been a glitch.  When the SQ and Sex Appeal went over 75 in the random generation I had to go in and take those 2 stats down to 75.  I now have a 37 menace and my guess is I have accidently added a 7 or 3 to the menace score making it 37 when it was either 3 or 7.  It's going to be a chair to keyboard interface error rather than the game doing something inexplicable.  The SQ had been like 77 I think which I knew automatically had to go down to 75 and Sex Appeal was either 83 or 93 (pretty sure it was 93) - all I remember was laughing that the largely useless stat was by far the highest.

Oh well doesn't matter not like 37 Menace is going to do much.

The manual is pretty clear about what each angle role is predominantly rated on. Acting is a principal component of the dramatic acting role and not used much on the others. Used well, a character with good acting and poorer charisma and microphone could be a useful specialist.

It's time for me to retry this challenge, now with a better understanding of the game.

My company will still be the Forever Wrestling Association, however I changed the owner (it's Pablo Rodriguez now so I have a good Road agent for cheap) and I'm in the Tri State. I also changed my stats a bit because in my first try, I made a mistake and gave myself 760 points.

This time, I hope my character will not get a concussion at my second show ever.

Finished Year 7 (2028) and it's going fine, I guess. Routinely getting 75-82 rated matches as I try to get myself as popular as possible. I may need up up my broadcaster to get over this 62-ish hump though. At this point I'm hurting my opponent's popularity far more than I'm helping my own.

OnDem seems to be a better move than UK Broadcasting Digital was. More areas. More broadcasting revenue. Making so much on tickets the extra production costs aren't too concerning. Mostly need to come up with some new concept or theme, as the boredom of playing one company has come around again. No booking jobs came up all year.

Rolled some extra popularity (very handy) for ending the year, and got some charisma/TV Actor attribute for breaking into the top 250 of the Power 500. Hit #211. Five places behind Tommy Jr, who everyone seems to love no matter how much I beat him.

I kind of feel bad about doing it but Tommy Cornell Jr. just debuted in the game and I signed him to an Exclusive Deal with TCW. He's just so broken I had too. 😭

Martel's latest pack added Edward Jr too - not quite as broken but throw in Sophie from Historians and you can Cornell it up for days.

I'm getting close.

After 7 years and 11 month of game time, 331 shows, and two 99 rated matches i got it done on my last event of the year. Didn't even have the inspiring speech for this event as i had used it for a 99 rated match against Cornell JR on my last show.

I will probably continue on this save for a little bit and see if I can get my company up to Titanic  (Currently 77+ in all of North America except Hawaii who is 76, so only need two more game areas. Need roughly 20 pop in Japan/Europe/India). I will also see if I can manage to get a 100 rated match without the creative finish.

Just wanted give a quick update to say that no, this save isn't dead with how long I haven't given an update. It's year 3, I'm finally having 75+ rated matches with many CZCW stars, including Frankie-Boy Fernandes, Alicia Strong, Nick Booth, Jaylon Martins, Hugh De Aske, Ernest Youngman, and more. Since I'm in November 2024, which is past current time, my focus on the save dwindled a bit as I'm basically in the future now, and I've been playing a fun TCW save in the Alt Cverse 2022 Beta thaat has brought my focus away from the save. But I want to congratulate the 2 RTG winners for starting and beating it after and before me.

A quick follow-up. Just got to the end of October 2023 and hit Tiny Size. So I took a random roll and got +10 EXP. So hopefully I will hit that 20 exp around early next year. November my company has about 3 to 4 shows for Dia de Muertos, our season finally in Centro, and our monthly show, with one last show in December.

We have so much Debt that I honestly doubt we will be able to pay it all off next year... I'm crossing my fingers. (around 65k, I hired too many workers.)

Is she at least good at something?

Heck yeah Chloe & Charlotte are great.  Fantastic talkers, Main Event level SQ and not terrible in ring or fundamentally.  Lively, Funny Bones, Noted Comedy matches, Tag Team specialist and Willing to Flaunt what's not to love.
