The TEW IX "Post Your Current Champions" Thread

Recommended Posts

I'm excited about the game and wanted to contribute somehow, so I'm continuing this old tradition!

Just like the same one in the 2020 forum, this will be for posting your current champions. I'll be waiting until the game comes out before starting a new save game (and I haven't been progressing my old one because how close it is), so I'll let someone else go first. :)

Just the default SWF champions for me.

SWF World - Keith Vegas
SWF North American - The Minor Annoyance
SWF Tag Team - Keith Vegas and The Minor Annoyance

I hear Mad Dog Mortimer vs The Minor Annoyance is a dream match for many.

I began playing a January 1992 WWF save in November 2021. I was playing it as recently as 2 weeks ago…made it to January 1993. Had so many major plans for Mania X. Oh well! That save treated me good. Excited for TEWIX today!!!

Looking forward to following your save!

Greatly appreciate it.  I'm booking extremely slow (for me) and making sure each and every character has an actual story.  I plan on having much smaller rosters and rotating talent through a lot more than previously.  Tons of ideas that I never got to use in my previous saves as well.  Looking forward to it.

The first thing I did when I started JCP in 1986 was leave the NWA.   I created new titles, JCP world, tag team, US and TV.

World is Ric Flair

US is Tully Blanchard

Tag team Rock n Roll Express

TV title: Crowning the first at Clash of the champions 2. The tournament final will be Sting vs Big Bubba Rogers.  Oh, I do like the tournament option. Also found that the give night off option is handy if a ref is involved in a dodgy finish.  If I ever used that option before,  the ref would just end up on the next show while he's supposed to be on trial or whatever.

Started in the region of about 75-80, but have chopped it down to 62. On a non-event month I'm still making a small loss, hopefully a few more SNME's on NBC will boost popularity enough to turn a regular profit.
