LAX grabbed the early advantage in this one, and they bounced Brother Ray and Brother Devon around all six sides of the unforgiving steel cage, and then took them for another lap. While all this was happening the fans were one hundred percent behind Team 3D, and let them know it with a number of chants. There were also chants directed at LAX of “You Sold Out”. Team 3D turned things in their favor around the five minute mark and beat the tar out of LAX from there on. They bounced them all over the cage, and then used great double team moves to take them down. Homicide received the headbutt between the legs, and then Team 3D hit Hernandez with the 3D, and claimed their first NWA World Tag Team Championship reign. Winners and New NWA World Tag Team Champions: Team 3D Time: 9:36 Match Grade: C After the match, Team 3D booted Homicide and Hernandez out to the outside, where Konnan looked distraught after the huge loss. TNA just didn’t want us to go on last, they wanted us to draw the fans in, so here we are in the opening hour. But without furthur ado, here is my team, The Kevin Nash School of Stardom! First, he hails from Elizabeth, New Jersey, he is the “Macho Man”, Jay Lethal! And following him into the Impact Zone, they are the hottest tag team this side of Botswana, they are Austin Starr and Alex Shelley! Starr and Shelley then make their way out behind Jay Lethal. There are huge “You Sold Out” chants directed at Shelley, much as was the case with the Latin American Xchange. Kevin Nash What did they sell out? If you mean this arena then you’re damn right. This is the greatest team ever assembled, and tonight they will show those X-Division punks what true wrestlers are. And then they will be back in mommy’s basement playing computer games, and my team will be holding all the gold in TNA. Now isn’t that right Mr. Lethal? “Macho Man” Jay Lethal OOOOOHH YEAH!!! That’s right Big Kev! Gonna beat us a little X-Divison tail, DIG IT!?!?!? Gonna snap into some loser butt! He hit a flurry of jabs and elbows to Senshi, who just shook them off and went to town kicking and chopping away at Lethal. Lethal tried to leave, but he was stopped by the cage, and he was forced to take more kicks. He finally got the tag to Alex Shelley, but he faired no better against Senshi, and then Petey Williams. Williams and Shelley battled for awhile, then got the tags into Austin Starr and Sonjay Dutt, who battled it out. Starr got the upper hand and hit a brainbuster, then an amazing 450 splash onto Dutt. When he went for the pin Alex Shelley threw Starr off and then got the pinfall himself. Winners: Kevin Nash School of Stardom Time: 6:51 Match Grade: B- After the match Austin Starr quickly gets into the face of Alex Shelley. Starr looked very angry at Shelley stealing his pinfall by throwing him off of Sonjay Dutt. Kevin Nash quickly entered the cage and stepped between his big tag team and told them to knock it off right now. It was then that Alex Shelley looked up at Kevin Nash and nearly slapped the white off of his teeth. Nash got a very angry look on his face then, and tried to hit Shelley with a big boot, but Shelley avoided and and quickly ran out of the cage. Grade: C- Jeff Jarrett and Christopher Daniels make their way to the ring, ready for their match against the Voodoo Kin Mafia. You have not seen eye to eye once over the past five years that TNA has been around. Well guess what, we see eye to eye on one thing, that the Voodoo Kin Mafia is a bunch of has bens, and that we need to shut their mouths once and for all. As for what happens after we beat VKM, we’ll have to see, I just know we both want the same thing, the NWA World Heavyweight Championship. Grade: C- The Voodoo Kin Mafia looked to be out of their element in this match, as Daniels and Jarrett had them topped considerably in the wrestling skills department. Kip and BG tried to brawl their way to a victory, but it didn’t work as Jarrett and Daniels used their technical prowess to avoid a lot of the contact. VKM did have one bright spot when they spiked Jarrett off the cage, but then Daniels cleaned house on both of them, hitting both of them with one enzuguri. He then helped Jarrett up, and then they hit the Angel’s Wings and The Stroke in unison. Daniels then had Jarrett hold both men down, and he scaled the cage, and then jumped off with a death defying moonsault from the top of the cage, and got the pinfall, and a standing ovation for the great move. Winners: Christopher Daniels and Jeff Jarrett Time: 7:56 Match Grade: B- A video plays showing all the violence that has occurred in the Scott Steiner versus Rhino feud so far. He says he should be NWA World Heavyweight Champion, hell, he already blew that chance a couple of months back. When’s the last time that Big Poppa Pump got a NWA World Heavyweight Championship match? It’s long overdue, let me tell you that. After I destroy Rhino in this cage tonight, I’ll prove to the world beyond a shadow of a doubt, that the man with the biggest arms in professional wrestling should get his title shot. Grade: B- Rhino and Scott Steiner used the cage early and often in this match. When one would get the upper hand, they would ram their opponent face first into the unforgiving steel structure. These two matched power with power, which resulted in numerous exchanges where both men ended up flat on the mat. The ending came when Scott Steiner had flashbacks and though it was 1993, and he tried a double axe handle off the top rope, only to be met with a Gore out of midair. Rhino then pinned him for the three count. Winner: Rhino Time: 7:45 Match Grade: B Christian Cage appears in a dark room, where he begins discussing his big title defense against Samoa Joe in the main event of the evening. Christian Cage Tonight, many people feel like it is Samoa Joe’s night to capture my NWA World Heavyweight Championship. Well you are all dead wrong. Tonight is just another night that I add to my legacy as NWA World Heavyweight Champion. Pretty soon people are going to be saying, Harley Who? What’s his name Flair? Christian Cage, now there’s a real champion. Styles is seen walking out of his locker room for his match versus Kurt Angle which is up next. When he walks down the hall he runs into a familiar face in Samoa Joe. Samoa Joe A.J., don’t look so scared. It’s only Kurt Angle you’re facing tonight, it’s not like you are going to go end their and have your career ended just like that. Oh wait, that’s exactly what it is. Take it from me, Kurt Angle is a dangerous man, and he’ll break your ankle before you even know what hits you. Hope you said your prayers before you came out of that locker room, because your gonna need them tonight pal. Grade: B+ Kurt Angle came out in this one taking shots at A.J. Styles every opportunity he got, but Styles pranced around the ring, avoiding every shot that Kurt Angle tried to deliver his way. After a few minutes of cat and mouse, Angle finally caught Styles, and he gave him a wrestling clinic. He suplexed him right, he suplexed him left, he suplexed him every direction that you can conceive. When it looked like Angle was done toying with him, he put the straps down, but he was hit with a lightning fast Pele Kick from Styles, who began to stomp away at Angle, and he started bouncing Angle’s head off all sides of the cage, opening up a mean gash. Styles kept up the offense for quite awhile, until Angle finally came back with a belly to belly suplex. The two men traded offense after that for around ten minutes, and the TNA fans chanted “This is Awesome” nearly the entire time. Styles finally got Angle set up for the Styles Clash, but Angle flipped AJ over the top of him. Angle then went down and locked in the Ankle Lock on AJ, who quickly tapped out from the pain. Winner: Kurt Angle Time: 23:20 Match Rating: A+ James Mitchell and Abyss then make their way to the ring for Abyss’ big match against the Icon known as Sting. Mitchell then stands on the outside, and Abyss is on the inside, and he addresses Sting. James Mitchell Sting, Abyss and I have put up with your crap for way too long now. So have these TNA fans. It is time for fresh faces to take the spotlight here in TNA, not one’s we have seen over and over for the last twenty years. So since you won’t step aside, tonight Abyss has taken it upon himself to move you aside, and then he will regain his NWA World Heavyweight Crown, and we will be back on top of the world. Grade: C+ Sting dropped out of the rafters into the cage for this match, and before he was out of the harness Abyss started attacking him. He then used the harness to choke Sting out, and gain the early advantage. Abyss laid a beat down on Sting for awhile, until Sting’s fans got behind him, and willed him on to make a comeback against Abyss. Sting then did a great series where he Stinger Splashed Abyss in five corners of the ring. In the sixth corner he was met with a hand around the throat, and then was chokeslamed into the middle of the ring. After some more beating, Sting came back again, and capitalized on a mistake with a Scorpion Death Drop. He then locked in the Scorpion Death Lock, and just before Abyss was about to tap, he powered out of the move. Sting stomped away on Abyss, and when he stood, Sting charged for a clothesline, but Abyss met him with the Black Hole Slam, and pinned him, finally deciding a fall for the first time in three matches between these men. Konnan Cornette, what was that crap out there? You know it was just a fluke that those two fat slobs beat my men for the tag team titles. Now at Impact next week, I demand that Homicide and Hernandez receive their rematch for the NWA World Tag Team Championship. The TNA fans greeted him with a “Welcome Dragon” chant. Chris Sabin walked up to Dragon and offered him his hand, then tried to slap him in the face. Ultimo Dragon did not take kindly to this, and he unloaded numerous punches and quick kicks on Sabin. Dragon had control nearly all the match, and the fans called for him to put it away with his signature Asai DDT. He set Sabin up for it, then leaped backwards and tried to flip over Sabin and deliver the second part of the move, a reverse DDT, to him, but Sabin stopped him in midair and threw him off with an atomic drop. Dragon got up holding his back, and he then walked into a Cradle Shock, and Chris Sabin once again defended his X-Division crown. Samoa Joe Destination X was supposed to the night where I fulfilled my destiny to become NWA World Heavyweight Champion. But Christian Cage ripped that away from me. Christian, all you did was delay the inevitable, because tonight, I will beat you inside the six sides of steel, and my name will be mentioned with Harley Race, Ric Flair, Sting, and all the other greats to have held the title. Tonight will be a night for TNA fans to rejoice, tonight starts the reign of Samoa Joe. Grade: B+ Samoa Joe came out very focused for this match, and he chopped away at Christian in the early going, making his chest turn beet red. Christian tried to avoid the offense of Samoa Joe, and when he realized that it wasn’t going to work, he fell back on his old tactics, and poked Joe in the eyes. Christian then started throwing Joe all over the cage, smashing him against the walls anytime he got near them. Joe hobbled back after one of them, and Christian hit the Unprettier, and then pinned Joe, but somehow Samoa Joe kicked out. This set the fans in UCF Arena ablaze, and they cheered wildly for Samoa Joe to take out Christian. The two traded offense, and then inexplicably Christian slapped Joe across the face, which set off a fire inside the Samoan Submission Machine. He looked at Christian, who tried to climb the cage to get away from Joe, but Joe went after him and stood on the top rope, and applied the Koquina Clutch on Christian, who was near the top. Joe then jumped back into the ring with the hold still applied, and locked his legs around Christian. The referee then came over and lifted Christian’s arm once, no response. He then lifted it a second time, no response. He then lifted it a third and final time, and Christian’s hand hit the mat with a thunderous thud. The fans went crazy as they realized that Christian was out, and they had a new NWA World Heavyweight Champion. The good news is that it was the largest show attendance wise in the history of TNA, drawing in just short of 5000 people. Some more good news is that the buyrates more than doubled from Destination X, as they hit a 2.6. This is just short of what Against All Odds did in February. The bad news is that it still wasn't good enough for DirecTV, and TNA has been pulled from their pay-per-view schedule. TNA still has three PPV providers, and are getting in touch with smaller ones today.
Let me just say SHaynes, I've really been liking this Dynasty of late! And I've actually kind of stolen the whole "Website tells you about pretty much everything else" format between the shows thing you been doing. It's really hard to read your stuff and not want to steal some of it ;)

Samoan fire dancers then walk out of the tunnel and stand on the entrance ramp, as the new NWA World Heavyweight Champion, Samoa Joe, makes his way out to the ring, proudly holding the championship over his shoulder. He then stood in the middle of the ring, and put the microphone up to his mouth. Samoa Joe Man, it feels good to finally be NWA World Champion. I had to jump hurdles every step of the way, but I did it, I realized my dream at Lockdown last night. Cage then begins to address the crowd, and he seems more angry and focused than usual. Christian Cage Joe, nobody wants to hear how long you had to wait to steal my championship from me. We all know that Lockdown Sunday night was just a freak accident, I’m the Instant Classic, I don’t lose like that. So, with that being said, I had my lawyers scour my contract, and it is in bold lettering that in the unlikely situation that I would lose my championship, I receive a rematch on a date of my choosing, in a match of my choosing. Well Joe, I chose next month at Sacrifice as the date for my rematch, and the kind of match, well, you’ll find out soon enough, believe me. And as for tonight, I just talked to Jim Cornette, and Joe, you have your first main event as NWA Champion. You will be facing ‘The Fallen Angel’ Christopher Daniels one-on-one in the main event. At Lockdown their manager Konnan put their careers on the line in order to get this rematch, so if they don’t win, they will be gone from TNA. This was not the same LAX seen in the last year, they were very cautious with every move, not wanting to make a mistake that would lead to their downfall. This cautiousness is what eventually led to their downfall though, as Team 3D jumped all over them when LAX didn’t capitalize on situations. Brother Ray called for the 3D, and they delivered a picture perfect on one Homicide, and then covered him for their first title defense. LAX then slowly walked up the ramp with their heads down, as the fans sang “Goodbye” to them. Sting was not happy about losing at Lockdown Sunday night, and he seemed to be focused on getting back on the winning track. But all of a sudden a big thud is heard, and Sting hits the mat hard. A dark figure is seen in the ring holding a steel chair, and when the lights come back up it is revealed to be Robert Roode. He forces Sting up to his feet, then runs off the ropes, and delivers a clothesline to the back of Sting’s head, a move he calls the Northern Lariat. Sting is left down on the mat, as Robert Roode walked out of the Impact Zone smiling with Ms. Brooks by his side, and the Impact Zone just watched on, stunned that Robert Roode just jumped Sting. As you know, TNA is holding it’s annual event, Sacrifice in a short time. And since Sacrifice is rolling around, I think it’s time we bring the World X Cup back. This is where competitors from around the world from different promotions come in and fight in a tournament to decide who the best X-Division wrestler in the world is. This year we are going to do things a little bit differently. Over the next three weeks, we are going to have one qualifying match each week, with the winner heading to the finals at Sacrifice, where a triple threat match will take place, and the winner will be awarded the World X Cup for his home country. The crowd then lets out a huge cheer for the returning event. Cornette though clears his throat, letting them know he is not done. Jim Cornette Now, I can confirm the entrants into the World X Cup. Here they are in no particular order. First, he is the reigning X-Division Champion, and he will be representing the Untied States of America in this year’s World X Cup, CHRIS SABIN! Second, making their debut in the World X Cup is the nation of Switzerland, and they will be represented by Ring of Honor wrestler, CLAUDIO CASTAGNOLI! Third, what would the World X Cup be without competitors from the land of the rising sun, Japan? So making his debut in TNA, for his native land of Japan, is New Japan Pro Wrestling star, and wrestling legend, TIGER MASK IV! Fourth, representing the great nation of England in this year’s World X Cup is a regular at the Ring of Honor promotion, and let me tell you first hand, he is one mean motor scooter, he is NIGEL MCGUINNESS! Fifth, representing the nation of Mexico in this year’s World X Cup, he is a competitor widely known to fans all around the world, he is currently competing in the great Mexican promotion CMLL, he is L.A. PARK! Finally, hailing from Canada, he is no rookie to the World X, he is the possessor of the most devastating move in professional wrestling today. TNA Impact! - Feedback Joe/Cage Segment - Good start to impact, very releastic like and progressed the feud on nicely, will be interesting to see what type of match Cage (you) can come up with. Team 3D vs LAX - I like the idea/storyline/reasons behind the match, you did a good job of selling the importance of match with LAX less confident and the like, the only thing for me is that of time, seemed way too short for a match in which major players like LAX left in. Angle Vid Angle - I like empty arena training type vids, so thumbs up for that and was very Angle like in intensity. I've gone off Angle in real life, but i liked that angle here. Sting vs Devine - A squash is a squash is a squash, not much to be said really on that, they have a purpose and it did the job of getting Sting on Impact/on winning track. Again the time issue of matches would be in question slightly if being ultra picky, simply cause the tag match was only a bit over 1 min more than this squash. Roode Attack - I'm a huge Roode fan so am extremely happy at him being anywhere near the likes of Sting in a storyline/feud, even if he loses, it will just do good for him and could potentially throw him into main event scene if used right. Shelley Expelled School - I personally only really like Shelley's character out of X'ers involved with Nash, so this is bad, although needed. Nash is entertaining, just still find others underwelming, however the angle was again done well, despite my disliking of Macho Man Lethal etc... (I'd like to see him as his own man/character more). Sabin vs Williams vs Senshi - I've not been huge fan of x div since Michael Shane's title reign, so this match wouldn't be of great interest to me, but Senshi winning is a good choice. World X Cup - Okay, now i'm more interested in X div, it needed something to spice it up and you've managed to do that, so well done, it looks good and format is better as twas confusling before, although of course less explosure to new wrestlers is only down point. Overall a very good thing, I don't like Cornette much mind, but thats just a personal thing, find him annoyingly boring, not your fault though. Daniels vs Fat Boy - A great main event for impact but not nearly enough time for me to get into the match, if was in real life, although was saved by Cage and ladder match announcement, which is a great choice for him, seeing as Cage mention the weight of Joe and how that might affect ability in such match. Also Cage has history in ladder matches so all is good and its a match I'd like to see. Overall - A good impact with good progression of feuds and storylines, my only problem would be the length of the matches, way too short for me to get into, especially for a company that prides itself on that aspect. Anyway good show and hope you don't mind the feedback, shame about LAX and Shelley, although makes for great and tricky twist. :)

Thats cool, the time issue is tricky when doing a TNA diary cause of the number of wrestlers needing to get on scene in just an hr, but i'd just try and get main event at least up to 10 min mark. That would make it seem less rushed of a match and stand out more from other matches, until you manage to get new 2hr show of course. Still I really like booking of feuds, especially the Sting/Roode one, its intriguing as I can see loads of potential in him and Brooks together, very Rude/Dibiase like in my eyes. Shame about not getting Mercury, he'd be great in TNA me thinks, good news on Mitchell though.

So that means we need some new competition, so anybody who dares stand up to my six foot eight monster, show your face now. Grade: C+ Lights flash on both entrance ramps in the Impact Zone, and Scott Steiner and Rhino appear on either side, presumably wanting to prove to Abyss that they can top him. They then both head down to the ring, where all three men start to brawl. Then all of a sudden Steiner and Abyss start stomping Rhino. They have him down for good, and then Steiner and Abyss stand in the ring. Steiner extends his hand to Abyss, who takes it, and then drops him with a huge Black Hole Slam. Jeff Jarrett I would just like to take this time to formally announce that it is my intention to take the World Heavyweight Championship away from Samoa Joe. He is doing nothing but disgracing the title I’ve worked so hard to put back on the map. I’ll be damned if I just sit around and let him disgrace it like that. I’m the greatest NWA World Heavyweight Champion of all-time, bar none…… Ron Killings then stands in front of Jeff Jarrett, taking exception to that last comment. Ron Killings Jarrett, you think you are the greatest NWA Champion ever, you’re forgetting about The Truth. I say if you want to prove you’re the best, you have to go through me. The two men then stand nose to nose, then Jarrett gets an angry look on his face and stomps out of the screen. Styles and Christian Cage Samoa Joe started in the ring, but Christian talked Styles into starting against him, and those two men fought tooth and nails for the first few minutes of the match. Styles used underhanded tactics to get the best of Joe, and he isolated him in the corner. Samoa Joe eventually got some breathing room, and he crawled across the ring, where he tagged in Kurt Angle, which caused Styles to dive across the ring to Christian Cage, who hopped off the apron, not wanting to have to deal with Angle either. Angle then suplexed Styles all over the ring, as he tried desperately to get out of there. Cage finally got back up on the apron, and AJ came close to tagging him once again, but Cage didn’t want any of it and decided to leave AJ alone. Samoa Joe took exception to this, and he ran at Cage and took him down with a big suicide dive. Angle then watched as Joe flew, but this allowed Styles to sneak up behind him and roll him up, grab the tights, and steal a victory from Kurt Angle and Samoa Joe. Winners: AJ Styles and Christian Cage Time: 9:37 Match Grade: B- After the match Samoa Joe got back into the ring to chase Styles off, and then checked on Kurt Angle. He then challenged Cage to come and meet him in the ring, and Christian started walking down the aisle. He got up on the ring apron, then thought better of it and walked back towards the tunnel. Impact then went off the air with Samoa Joe giving Christian Cage the slit throat motion, and the crowd was chanting “Joe’s Gonna Kill You”. News
Newswire for 4/26/07: TNA Impact Rating TNA Impact's rating was a solid 10.44 this week, which fell slightly from last weeks rating, but is still above average for Impact. Other news from Impact includes Senshi showing up late for the show, and barely making it in time for the opening bell of the show. He was yelled at in front of the other wrestlers, and this will hopefully straighten him out. New ROH World Champion After ROH World Champion Alex Shelley left for the WWE last week, a vacancy was left open for that championship. ROH crowned the new champion last night, as Brent Albright beat Eric Young, who was on loan from TNA to claim the title. This is Albright's second reign in a short period of time. The match of the night came earlier though, as Chris Hero beat Christopher Daniels. TNA Re-Signs Chris Harris TNA Wrestling announced today that they have re-signed Chris Harris to a pay-per-appearance deal which is said to last nine months. Harris hasn't been used much at all of late, but it appears with this new contract that his role will be ramped up alot.
