You can be sure they will try a variety of stations, and we'll keep you filled in on how they are doing in the process. Out With the Old, In With The New Today, Jimmy Snuka, Vader, and Kamala have all decided that their careers in front of the camera are about over, and will retire at the end of the month. On the other hand, a new influx of talent has entered the wrestling world, including: David Tua, Quinton Jackson, Mariusz Pudzianowski, and Bree Andre.
The show was said to be a decent one that saw Umaga and Rosey reunite as the Island Boys to defeat Victoria and Mickie James, and John Cena defend his WWE Championship against The Great Khali in the main event. WWE Releases Kane Kane officially retired Monday, and WWE wasted no time in getting him off of their payroll. He was released from his WWE contract, and he now plans to pursue a job working for a promotion in a non-wrestling occupation. It is unknown if WWE rival TNA is interested in signing Kane, but it is not believed that they will go after him, as he has little use outside of being a wrestler, which he refuseses to do now. May 4, 2007 Live from Universal Studios Orlando Attendance: 1,000 vs. Kurt Angle versus Jay Lethal w/ Kevin Nash Impact opens up with Kurt Angle making his way out to the ring for a match to start off what promises to be an action packed show. Jay Lethal then makes his way out with Kevin Nash, and he looks more focused than he has in recent weeks, and doesn’t do many “Macho Man” mannerisms, as he is focused on the match. Jay Lethal’s pure speed caught Angle off guard in this one, and he had Angle on the ropes more than once in the matchup. Angle’s technical prowess eventually caught up with Lethal, and Angle hit his series of suplexes, then locked in the Ankle Lock, and Lethal had no other option but to tap out. Winner: Kurt Angle Time: 7:53 Match Grade: B Kurt Angle then grabs a microphone, catches his breath, then addresses the crowd. Kurt Angle A.J. Styles, did you just see that. I hope you were paying attention, because that is the same result that will happen when me and you face off at Sacrifice in less than two weeks. I’ll admit that you have talent, and it will not be an easy feat to beat you at two straight pay-per-views, but this time around, I’m not out for the win, I’m out to cripple you and end your career. AJ, this is no nightmare, It’s Real, It’s Damn Real! Grade: B vs. Sting versus Matt Bentley Sting came out in this one meaning business. He was still in a foul mood after being attacked from behind by Robert Roode two weeks ago, and you could tell that he just wanted to put Maverick Matt away as fast as possible so that he could address the current situation. Bentley looked like he may get some offense in, but it had no effect on Sting, who put him down with the Scorpion Death Drop, then locked in the Scorpion Deathlock, and Sting had another statement win over a member of Serotonin. Winner: Sting Time: 4:14 Match Grade: C+ Sting quickly demanded that he be given a microphone, and he directed a heartfelt speech towards Robert Roode. Sting Who the heck does Robert Roode think he is? I asked myself this question over and over in the past two weeks. Then it dawned on me, Robert Roode has his reasons for doing what he did, and I understand it. He has a point when he says he hasn’t been used, and he had to do something to get his foot in the door. I respect that Robert. But you decided to make your little statement against the wrong man Jack! If you think Sting is just going to roll over and make you the next big star in TNA, you’ve got another thing coming. You are going to have to work to put yourself on the map. If you can come out on top, I’ll gladly step aside and admit that you deserve it, but let me let you in on a little secret, It ain’t happening! Robert Roode, you may have just opened up a can of worms that you should have left closed. I’ll put it in terms you can understand Mr. Wallstreet, you just wrote a check that your talent can’t cash. Grade: C+ Immediately after Sting says this, the cameras go backstage, where Jeff Jarrett and Ron Killings are brawling around, presumably because of Killings interrupting Jarrett’s promo last week. They go all out at each other until they are pulled apart by security, and Killings yells at Jarrett that he wants him in the ring. Grade: C Jim Cornette then appears on the screen, and he is ready to sort this whole mess out. Jim Cornette Everybody just settle down, you’re all acting like you are all jacked up on Mountain Dew. You all want to rip each others heads off so bad? Well, there is a little pay-per-view rolling around in two weeks called Sacrifice. So at that event, we will see The Icon called Sting teaming with Ron “The Truth” Killings. And they will be taking on Robert Roode, and “The King of the Mountain” Jeff Jarrett. Now you all have a chance to rip each others heads off on a national stage, happy now? Grade: C+ vs. Petey Williams versus Claudio Castagnoli World X Cup Qualifying Match Petey Williams got a warm response coming into the Impact Zone, and is seems like the crowd is more pro-Canada than USA this year, most likely because of the brash Chris Sabin representing the USA. The fans booed Castagnoli, as he mocked them as he came to the ring. Williams had no clue what to expect from this relative unknown wrestler to most TNA fans, and he was hit with European Uppercuts all around the ring, and Petey was holding his jaw from all the uppercuts. The fans got behind Petey, wanting him to take down the man from Switzerland, and he slowly started to turn things in his favor. He took Castagnoli down with a big dropkick to the knees, then locked in the Sharpshooter, causing Claudio to tap out, and Petey Williams advances to Sacrifice. Winner: Petey Williams Time: 7:18 Match Grade: D+ A video plays over the arena showing the training regimen of Samoa Joe, as he punches and kicks a sparring partner in a training facility. The camera then zooms out, and it shows that the video was showing on a TV that former champion Christian Cage was watching. Christian Cage Samoa Joe, I see you are training like never before so you can retain the title that rightfully belongs to me. Let me tell you something tons of fun, this match is my specialty, the ladder match. Nobody here in TNA can beat me in a ladder match, hell, nobody around the world can beat me in a ladder match. I don’t even think you can even climb a ladder, can you? In two weeks at Sacrifice, I am going to utterly embarrass you, then I’m going to scale that ladder, and take back the NWA World Heavyweight Championship that I should have never lost, and once again things will be right in the Impact Zone. Grade: B vs. Christopher Daniels versus Eric Young The fans were very behind Eric Young in this one, but it did not do a whole lot of good, because Christopher Daniels has been on an absolute hot streak in the last couple of months. He performed a series of technically astonishing moves to Eric Young, and then dropped him hard on the mat face first with the Angel’s Wings. He then said he wasn’t done, and wanted to make a statement. He then lifted Young up, and spiked him down with the Last Rites, and then he pinned Young. Winner: Christopher Daniels Time: 3:32 Match Grade: B Rhino and Ron Killings appear backstage, and Rhino begins shouting words of encouragement, then headbutts the wall, and tells Killings he’s ready to do some damage, and the two stomp towards the entrance, ready to get the main event underway. The four men brawled around the arena for the majority of it, with Steiner and Abyss mostly focusing on Rhino. It finally came back into the ring, where Ron Killings used his great speed to get offense in on Abyss and Steiner. When it looked like Killings was getting ready to put the icing on the cake, Jeff Jarrett slowly made his way to ringside, and Killings jumped out of the ring to cut him off. The two brawled, and the referee went outside to break it up. This left Rhino alone with Abyss and Steiner. Rhino got the Gore in on Steiner, but when he charged at Abyss, James Mitchell handed Abyss his cane, and he broke it over Rhino’s midsection. Abyss then threw Rhino off the ropes and hit him with the Black Hole Slam just as the referee entered the ring and made the three count. Winners: Abyss and Scott Steiner Time: 5:56 Match Grade: C After the match Jeff Jarrett and Ron Killings continued to brawl, and the cameras followed them until they were out of sight. Then they cut back into the ring, where Abyss and James Mitchell were celebrating in the ring, when out of nowhere Rhino got up and Gored Abyss. Scott Steiner walked off not wanting his second Gore of the night, and Impact went off the air with Rhino holding his arms up in the air, and Abyss down on the mat holding his chest in pain. TNA is hoping to use these strong ratings as leverage for SpikeTV to give them a two hour show for next month. ROH House Show Results Ring of Honor held it's Thursday house show last night, and it saw the return of Bryan Danielson in tag team action. He teamed with BJ Whitmer, but the duo lost to Jimmy Rave and Adam Pearce. In the main event Brent Albright defended his ROH World Championship against Roderick Strong.
SpikeTV has decided that Impact is best left at one hour right now. TNA still has two more seasons left after this one with SpikeTV, so it is not urgent that they find a new home, but it would be a big boost for the company if they could secure a two hour show somewhere.
Try ESPN buddy, they'll pick it up.
I was thinking that, but I want to keep it somewhat realistic, and I don't think ESPN would touch wrestling right now. I'll keep it open as an option if all else fails, but I may just ride it out because the only thing keeping me from a 2 hour show on Spike is that the Canadian market is down, and they don't want to program a new show for me because of that.

So we have looked over what is left on the TNA tag team division, and we have come up with this, Sunday at Sacrifice, my brother and I will put our Tag Team Championships on the line against two men who are no strangers to these titles, Andy Douglas and Chase Stevens, The Naturals. We faced these two a couple of months ago, and don’t expect anything to change from them, because we are going to destroy them, and keep these titles around our waists. Isn’t that right Devon? Brother Devon Oh my brother, TESTIFY! Grade: C+ Abyss and James Mitchell appear backstage in the dark back room of the Impact Zone. James Mitchell Over the last few weeks you have all seen my monster Abyss tear Scott Steiner and Rhino limb from limb. Those two washed up hacks actually think they can hold a candle to Abyss. Let me tell you something, Abyss is the future of professional wrestling, and with me at the helm, we can go to unprecedented levels. So this Sunday at Sacrifice, Abyss is going to take it one step further, because he is going to be in a hardcore triple threat match against Rhino and Scott Steiner. And after Abyss wins that match, it’s on to the NWA World Heavyweight Championship. Grade: D+ Christian Cage versus Senshi Christian Cage was caught off guard when he heard the music of his opponent for the main event, the Warrior Senshi. He then was caught more off guard when the music of NWA World Champion Samoa Joe hit. Joe walked out with a ladder, which he set up on the outside, and Joe climbed the ladder and watched the match while he sat on top of the cage. Cage thought he might have it easy because Senshi is part of the X-Division, but he couldn’t have been more wrong. Between Senshi’s speed, and Cage constantly looking Samoa Joe’s way, Senshi provided a very big hurdle for Christian. Senshi kicked Cage all around the ring. When he would mount a lot of offense though, Cage would put him back down with a high powered move. The turning point happened when Senshi tried to hit a double axe handle off the top rope, but he was met by a big dropkick from Christian. Cage then forced him up and put him in the Unprettier, and dropped him face first into the mat below. He then got the pinfall, and both Joe and Cage had won heading into Sacrifice. Joe then yelled at Christian who turned back around, when all of a sudden Samoa Joe stood up on the ladder and leaped off, flying into the ring from the top of the ladder, and catching Christian with a big boot right to the face, dropping the fomer champion where he stood. The fans were chanting “TNA” like crazy, as Samoa Joe grabbed his title, stood over Christian, and held the gold up in the air, possibly giving everyone a preview of what is going to happen Sunday at Sacrifice. Ladder Match for the NWA World Heavyweight Title Samoa Joe(c) vs. Christian Cage I'd love to say Samoa Joe, but it's Christian's time to shine if you ask me. He's been held back by TNA since he went there, it's his time. NWA World Tag Team Championship Team 3D (c) vs. The Naturals D'Von, get the tables! The rating is a 10.51, as it jumped .2 points from last weeks rating. Senshi Fined Senshi showed up late to yet another Impact, and TNA head booker Sam Haynes is said to be getting tired of this. He fined Senshi a portion of what he made for the evening, and warned him if he did it again it would most likely be a suspension. Glen Jacobs Signs With NJPW Fresh off being released after retiring by WWE, Glen Jacobs is going across the Pacific to work for New Japan Pro Wrestling. Working in Japan has always been a dream of Jacobs, and now he is realizing it. It is not known in what capacity he will be used, but do not expect it to be in the ring.
They must put on a great show or they risk being dropped by their two remaining US PPV providers. The main event figures to get alot of buys in, and TNA hopes it is enough to keep the pay-per-view companies happy.
