It was a relief to be honest, if i had to get thrown around by Kelly Kiniski once more i think i would have 'upped sticks' and quit anyway! I'm not really sure why the job was given to someone of my age, to be honest its un-precedented. Mind you i had been around the business since i was born, well it seemed that way anyway, you see Paul Boesch adopted me when i was 4, so it was only natural i would follow him into the 'family' business. The only problem was i sucked at it. I think my dad kind of resented the fact that i was more into writing stories then side headlocks and armbars. As it happened it was that very same quality that had convinced him to give me the job, you see HCW had become stale, no two ways about it, wrestling was heading into an era filled with glitz and storylines and HCW was being left behind, it was my job to solve that. This is my tale.

Location: Small mid-south Venue Peter Birkhole: Hi, I’m Peter Birkhole and with me is Paul Boesch and we are here witnessing history in the making as we bring you the first ever televised event organised by Lee-James Bovey. Paul Boesch: Well Peter, this guys got some big boots to fill! Peter Birkhole: He has indeed Paul, for the last 17 years you have really molded HCW into one of the finest promotions in the South West and whats more HCW TV was your brainchild. Paul Boesch: That’s right Pete, its been hard handing over the reigns but, damn I’m getting too old for all this work! Peter Birkhole: Well Bovey’s 1st night in charge looks set to be a good one, with a double main event of Matt Borne Vs. The Masked Superstar Vs. Kamala in a triple threat match and Junkyard Dog Vs. Jim Duggan. And speaking of Jim Duggan, lets show you folks at home how this match came about. Segment1: A clip is shown of Duggan going crazy stamping around a room smashing up various ornaments with a large chain. He momentarily pauses and takes a deep breath, before shouting at the camera. Jim Duggan: JYD, you think you’re so tough don’t ya? Why? Because you bring a trolley full of rubbish to the ring? Our country wasn’t built around Junk collectors like you. It was made great by ‘real Americans’ like me, that’s why on HCW TV I’m going to take you apart and show the whole world why I am the top dog in HCW. Rating: B Peter Birkhole: Well folks, not quite sure what Hacksaw has against JYD, but there is certainly some animosity there, hopefully it will be settled here in the ring tonight when the two of them face off, only on HCW! Match: Iron Mike Sharpe Vs. El Sicodelicio An 'easy on the eye warm' up bout between two wrestlers with very much contrasting styles. The high flying, quick offence of the luchre libre style El Sicodelicio and the 'ground and pound' style of the big man, Mike Sharpe. Mike dominated from the get go, but was finding it hard to land meaningful offence due to Sicodelicio’s speed around the ring. Iron mike was looking tired and the crowd were beginning to sense a slight momentum shift in Sicodelicio’s favour, sensing the shift he dished out some quickfire attacks and had Iron Mike reeling with a high dropkick, Sicodelicio hit the ropes and tried for the springboard Plancha but was caught in mid air by Iron Mike who finally had his man just were he wanted him. Sicodelicio kicked and fought but Mike’s Vice-like grip was too much, the crowd went crazy as Sicodelicio’s hand dropped for the 3rd and final time, granting Sharpe the win by submission. Winner: Iron Mike Sharpe Rating: C- Segment2: The feed cuts to the backstage area were Kamala is seen wandering along the corridor in his trademark rag-doll like way, when out of no-where he is jumped by the masked superstar and Matt Borne who take it in turns to put the boot in on Kamala. After several minutes of punishment the pair leave, leaving the Ugandan giant looking in a bad way. Rating: D+ Peter Birkhole: I can’t believe what we have just seen here Paul, that vicous attack has left Kamala with little to no chance of making tonight’s main event. Paul Boesch: I agree Pete, but why are the masked superstar and Matt Borne in cahoots? Do they realise they have to face off in the ring tonight? Peter Birkhole: I don’t know, you would have to imagine there is some motivation behind what is seemingly an unprovoked attack! Match: Chavo Guerrero Vs. Mil Mascaras Vs. Mr Olympia A fast and frenetic free for all between 3 of the best Hispanic wrestlers in the business. Mr Olympia charged Chavo from the first bell, but the wily Guerrero was able to use Olympia’s own momentum to throw him over the top rope to the ground below. This left Chavo and Mascaras in the ring to duke it out, the pair locked up and exchanged holds, with neither man gaining an advantage they locked up again, still neither man was able to avoid a counter. Chavo decided to mix it up, with a couple of stiff jabs to get the ball rolling. Incensed Mascaras charged at Chavo aiming a clothesline at his head, but Chavo ducked it and countered with a dropkick. Picking up Mil by his mask Chavo placed his head underneath his own arm and prepared for the snap suplex, Mascaras read it well blocking the move using his leg. He shot Chavo into the ropes, where to Chavo's surprise Mr Olympia had come to and had a boot waiting for him! With Chavo out for the count Mr Olympia and Mil Mascaras tore the house down exchanging holds and punch’s, before Mascaras headed North and pulled a flying cross body out of the bag for the win. Winner: Mil Mascaras Rating: C+ Segment 3: Peter Birkhole: Well folks a fine display of technical brilliance there be those 3 competetors but coming up next we will see the 1st of two main events although we are not quite sure as to what its going to be now, following the earlier attack on Kamala. Paul Boesch: I agree Pete, it will be interesting………. Before Paul could get out another word Jim Duggans music hit and he made his way to the ring, Microphone in hand. Jim Duggan: I can’t believe you people, you call yourself Americans? I have just received a call from my mother acusing me of being bad tempered. I do a little interview and you whiny, pathetic, un-american people have to jeer and boo and make me look bad, well im warning you, don’t make me angry. He slams his mic down and exits the ring to a chorus of loud boo’s Rating: C Match: Matt Borne Vs. The masked superstar After the previous technical based match up, the crowd were given a timely reminder that fighting hurts as these two big men, threw everything bar the kitchen sink at eactchother for almost 20 minutes. An assortment of body drops, power slams and hip toss’s were interspersed with punch’s and playing to the crowd. A fairly even bout eventually saw The masked superstar pick up the victory, stunning Borne with a boot to the face before flooring him with the swinging neckbreaker for the win. Winner: Masked Superstar Rating: D+ Match: Junkyard Dog Vs. Jim Duggan Jim Duggan made his way to the ring and stood in the centre warming up gently, preparing for his match, when Kamala’s music hit. He stomped down to the ring, without his usual assortment of goodies and just has a very angry snarl in on his mouth. As soon as he slid in the ring, Duggan slid out the other side, JYD gave chase but was met with a big roundhouse from the cowardly Duggan, who rolled JYD into the ring and started pounding on him. JYD managed to get to his feet and cut off Duggan with a Mongolian chop. Duggan shot his opponent into the ropes and as he bound back he caught his head in a sleeper. JYD battled against the hold but looked to be fading as referee Ken Farber checked his arm to see if he could continue. He lifted it once and dropped it, it fell limply back down, a second time it was lifted and the same result, was the end near for JYD? Then out of no-where, on the third attempt Junkyard Dog’s hand kept firm and started shaking, he manoeuvred himself around and started elbowing Duggan in the gut. Duggan was tenacious but eventually he broke the hold leaving himself open and JYD seized his chance, Delivering a powerful shoulder breaker on Jim Duggan for the victory. Winner: Junkyard Dog Rating: C Overall Rating: C Attendance: 1617 Bookers notes: I'm happy with the start i have got off to, the 1st show is always a tough one for any booker and luckily it went down well with the fans. So now i can start getting creative abuilding some feuds! Unfortunatly over the next few weeks there are going to have to be significant roster cuts, bacause at the moment we have a lot of worker on the card i just can't see me giving air time to (I'm Thinking Kelly Kinski - i hate that guy)

ooohhhh great first show! I'm loving the old school dynasties. I've mentioned in some other post that I think you got writing talent Panix. I'll be reading this one for sure. Also on a side note I'm glad to see a local boy (Iron Mike Sharpe lives in Hamilton, where I live now) getting a mild push...even if it leads nowhere, he actually got a televised win!

Location: Small mid-south Venue Peter Birkdale: Hi there and welcome the viewers at home to HCW TV, im your host Peter Birkdale and with me as always Paul Boesch. Paul Boesch: And what a show we have lined up today, but we kick off with a word from the new general manager here at HCW Lee-James Bovey.
Segment1: Some soft rock music plays and Lee-James makes his way confidently to the ring carrying a large briefcase. Lee-James Bovey: Hi everybody, welcome to HCW, as you may well know I am the new GM in town and I have a big announcement today. I want to start by talking to you about Ice Hockey, as you know a brutal, violent sport with a lot of passion. Now Football, again a game were no team wants to lose and everybody want’s to be the number one. You know what HCW lacks that those to sports have? Competition, something to aim for, the superbowl, the Stanley cup. What HCW is lacking is a championship! So with out further ado I want to introduce you all to the HCW heavyweight title. Bovey opened his case and pulled out the classy looking belt and displayed it to the audience. Lee-James Bovey: Now I have seen a week’s worth of TV, I have wrestled with several of the guys on the roster and I have been watching these guys bust a gut in the gym since I took over and I have decided that the inaugural title match will be held at the January Big show and will be a fatal-fourway match. I have already handpicked 3 of the 4 stars to take part in the competition and they are Super Destroyer, Gino Hernandez and Buddy Rogers, as for the 4th contestant, well I still haven’t decided on that yet! Thanks for your time ladies and gentleman and enjoy the show. Rating: F-
Match: Iron Mike Sharpe Vs. Dean Malenko Iron Mike Sharpe looks like he is enjoying being given a bit of air time under new GM Lee Bovey and he looked keen to impress against the debutant Dean Malenko. Malenko was in no way just there for the ride though and showed some promis in the match with some solid Matt Wrestling and reversals. Unfortunately Iron Mike’s uncompromising offence wore down Malenko who fell foul of the same bear hug that had cost El Sicodelicio. Winner: Iron Mike Sharpe Rating: D-
Peter Birkdale: What a way to kick things off here tonight, looks like Iron Mike has gone 2 for 2 under the new GM. Paul Boesch: He has indeed, this lad looks keen to impress, as I’m sure the whole roster will be, all vying for that 4th spot in that match made earlier tonight for the January Big show. Peter Birkdale: your not wrong, the stakes are high at the moment! But moving on we can now hear from Kamala, but before we do lets show you some footage of the heinous attack on Kamala last week by Matt Borne and the masked superstar.
Segment 2: A video plays showing the beat down and then the feed cuts to Kamala who is a hospital bed with his leg in plaster. He makes a lot of noise’s (probably not in Ugandan!) and points frantically towards his plastered leg, clearly annoyed that he is injured. Rating B-
Match: The masked Superstar and Super Destroyer Vs. Leatherface and Tiger Conway Jr The tag team veterans made short work of there part-time, tag team opposition and perhaps gave leatheface doubts whether he made the right decision signing for HCW as the more experienced team of Superstar and destroyer physically dissected the younger team with a great amount of venom. In the end the match was rapped up easily with a roll up pin by the masked destroyer on Conway. Winner: The masked superstar and Super destroyer Rating: D+
Segment 3: Following the previous match Matt Borne made his way to the ring and confronted the masked superstar who he had faced in a gruelling match last week. The tension is resolved when Borne extends his hand and the masked superstar shake’s it. Matt Borne: I know a few of you idiots, are wandering why I came out here and shook hands with the guy who beat the hell out of me last week, well it’s a matter of respect, Me and the masked superstar, we respect each other! And that’s how I know he has my back and I will always have his. Rating: C-
Match: Arn Anderson Vs. Chavo Guerrero Billed as a 5 minute thriller this match played out well, with Arn Anderson showing some stiff looking offence, trying to get the early pinfall, but when he started to tire, Chavo came back into the fight. With 30 seconds left on the clock Chavo hooked in the Mexican surfboard and it looked bleak for Arn Anderson but he managed to survive the 30 seconds till the bell securing a draw. Winner: Draw Rating: D
Segment 4: Jim Duggans music hits and he makes his way to the ring, with a microphone in hand. Peter Birkhole: Well Jim Duggan had a lot to say last week but he ended up with egg on his face, but apparently he ain’t finished yet! The fans chant loudly “you suck, you suck” Jim Duggan: Yeah laugh it up, I lost, big deal, I got a reason for losing. I was distracted by one of you sons-o-bitches. That’s right just as I was about to hit my three point stance I caught a glimpse of something that distracted me. There in the corner of my eye was a banner reading “Jim Dughead, more American then French toast” I was livid, incensed, unfortunately I took my eye off the ball and it cost me big time. So that’s my reason for losing, fortunately tonight I get to take up my frustration on Butch Reed! Rating: C-
Match: Buddy Landell Vs. Mr Olympia A slightly dis-appointing bout between 2 popular stars, you get the feeling these two had a little bit more in the tank then what they were giving. My Olympia tried hard to best buddy off the back of lasts weeks thrilling triple threat match, but the fitter Landell eventually sealed the victory with a figure four leglcok. Winner: Buddy Landell Rating: D
Segment 5: Jim Duggan makes his way to the ring, all dressed in his wrestling attire, but he is still carrying a mic. Jim Duggan: After speaking to you people earlier I got a ton of abuse from the boys in the back. Loads of punks claiming that some kid cost me a match, well I’m here to tell you it wasn’t just a kid the guy carrying this banner was huge and what’s more if he has the balls, I’m challenging that banner waving creep to a match on next weeks HCW TV. Rating: B-
Match: Jim Duggan Vs. Butch Reed As Butch appeared at the ramp and started towards the ring Duggan rushed up the ramp and started attacking him before he had even got to the ring, clearly Duggan was very angry! He stomped on Reed about twenty times before rolling him into the ring for what he assumed would be an easy 3 count. But Reed had not read the script and managed a limp kick-out at two and a half. This only served to infuriate Duggan further as he picked him up an scoop slammed him down again, whilst on the Deck Duggan again peppered Reed with stomp’s but again couldn’t get the 3 count. One last time Duggan picked up Reed and Irish whipped him to the corner and as quick as a hiccup he hit him with the 3-point stance. After 5 minute’s and a hell of a beating Butch Reed finally succumbed to the pinfall. Winner: Jim Duggan Rating: C-
Segment 6: Mil Mascaras made his way to the ring to rapturous applause. Mil Mascaras: I know down the years a lot of people have hated me, and I have given them good reason to hate me. I have said and done some nasty stuff, but along the way I have always given 100% last week whilst in the ring with Chavo and Mr Olympia, despite winning, I realised I can’t go full tilt anymore, my body just won’t allow it. So as of the end of next month I will be retiring as an active competitor. But in the spirit of Luchre Libre I may be looking to pass on my mask to the future Mil Mascaras, but that person has to prove themselves in the ring. Therefore I will be holding a tournament to see who will be taking on me at Februarys big show for the chance to be crowned Mil Mascaras II. There will be two qualifying match’s and both winners will face me in a triple threat, but if I win, I keep the Mil name and mask forever. Rating: B+
Match: Junkyard Dog Vs. Matt Borne The two men went at it full tilt and put on a good, solid match. The lack of Psychology was made up for with intensity as they went punch for punch, slam for slam. Borne looked on top, despite neither man dominating and looked like he might cause an upset, but there was a late JYD rally and you knew the tide had turned when JYD was chasing Matt round the ring pretending to bite him. The match finished with JYD hitting a bodydrop on a tired Matt Borne and scoring the victory. Winner: Junkyard Dog Rating: C Attendance: 1885 Overall Rating: C
Bookers notes: Another pretty succesful card see's our fed's popularity rise again. Chatting with Peter, he has said he made the right choice handing me the book and he likes my upcoming feuds!

Some excellent twists so far, Panix; great work. Mil Mascaras announcing his retirement and that he may turn the mask over to someone else is a stunner. I'm looking forward to following that one. And... Go, Iron Mike! :) Besides Duggan's fab speeches, I think your use of Sharpe is probably my favorite so far. But what about the Handsome Half-Breed? Has Gino Hernandez been blowing you off, or have you yet to find anything for him?

Gino is one of the 3 people selected for the fatal fourway at the January 'big show' although he hasn't been on telly yet due to me trying to squeeze all my storys/match's into 1hour! Perhaps he will get a run out on next weeks show.

From Houston Very small arena Peter Birkhole: Hello ladies and gentleman and welcome to another action packed hour of world class wrestling from all of us here at HCW, with me as always is Paul Boesch and we have a helluva line up for you here tonight. Paul Boesch: That’s right Peter, we have a preview of this months big show with 3 of the 4 contenders for the title locking up, we have Matt Borne taking on Arn Anderson plus we will see if the fan that ‘screwed’ Jim Duggan has the gaul to show his face around here! Peter Birkhole: Lets not waste anymore time, we are kicking off tonight with tag team action, the unlikely pairing of Leatherface and Tiger Conway Jr will be taking on Mike Bond and Dean Malenko.
Match: Tiger Conway Jr and Leatherface Vs. Dean Malenko and Mike Bond For the 2nd week in a row we witnessed the unlikely pairing of Tiger Conway Jr and Leatherface in a fast paced opening bout, the pair showed some good teamwork and Leatherface’s hardcore approach is really beginning to get him over with the crowd. However on this occasion technical ability trumped flat out aggression and Dean Malenko rammed home that point with a roll up pin with a bridge to get the 3 count. Winner Dean Malenko and Mike Bond Rating: E+
Segment1: The ring cleared and Mike Sharpe’s music played. Peter Birkhole: I’m not quite sure what’s going on here Paul, Iron Mike isn’t even scheduled to be here tonight! Paul Boesch: Of course your right Pete, but I guess we will find out what’s on his mind judging by that microphone. Mike Sharpe: I wanna start off by saying how lucky y’all are to be seeing a rising star in the ring! Since the new GM started giving me airtime I have come up with two wins on the bounce and let me promise you, that’s just the beginning! But anyway, I’m not here just to tell you what you already know, I’m here to speak to the big dog, so if you’re here tonight Mr Bovey I got a proposition for you. You may or may not have noticed but I have been highflying for two weeks now, now I know that at this months big show were gonna have us a little title match aren’t we? Well, I think I deserve to be in that there match! I look forward to you confirming my title shot. Rating: D+
Match: Arn Anderson Vs. Matt Borne Neither of these men have a match scheduled for the big show yet and both looked keen to impress. From the off the two competitors barely gave the audience time to breath as the tore into each other. Matt Borne followed up 3 stiff forearms with an Irish whip and then a clothesline that almost took AA’s head off. After a couple of minutes sustained pressure Anderson began to mount a comeback with two right jabs followed up with the big left! It was a thundering blow and looked like it would certainly settle the match, but AA wasn’t prepared for the low blow that was heading his way and before he knew it he was getting better acquainted with the ceiling patterns at the mid south Arena. Winner: Matt Borne Rating: D-
Match: The masked Superstar Vs. Magnum TA A somewhat subdued affair. Magnum Ta’s strength clearly isn’t wrestling! The masked superstar tried hard to save the match but his two or 3 spots couldn’t pick the standard up at all, it looks like the masked superstar and Magnum TA just had no chemistry what-so-ever. After 6 minutes mercifully it was over when the masked superstar hit a flying hammerlock for the 3 count. Winner: The masked superstar Rating: D+
Segment2: Lee-James Bovey: Hey Mike, hold on just one minute, you beat two nobody’s and you think your championship material? You still have so much to prove! I’ll make you a deal, if you win next week and we will see about a number one contender match at the big show and your lucky to be getting that! This company has real heroes like Mil Mascaras on the card and I have to sit in the back listening to some punk running his mouth? You make me sick! Rating: F-
Peter Birkhole: And next up we have rather a bizarre match up in place, as Jim Duggan takes on the fan who’s banner allegedly cost Duggan his match against JYD two weeks ago on HCW. Match: Jim Duggan Vs. ? Jim Duggan waited patiently in the ring and his opponents music started, then wandering down the ramp came a muscular looking man wearing a blue and red mask, was this the fan that had insulted Duggan? We can only assume so as Duggan went after him furiously hammering the guy with wind up style punches before seeing him go down, he picked the guy up and slammed him down to the canvas, but to his amazement the guy managed a kick out, clearly this isn’t your everyday Houston wrestling fan! So the match continued and despite having his way with his opponent Duggan just seemed to lack the killer touch, after a brutal 7 minutes Duggan finally hit his three point stance and managed the 3 count on his mystery opponent. Winner: Jim Duggan Rating: C-
Segment3: Following the match, Jim Duggan doesn’t look content with letting sleeping dogs lie as he hammers away at the face of this masked man, he suddenly has an idea, he starts tugging at the mans mask, desperate to see who it is. After fumbling for about 40 seconds Duggan peels back the mask to reveal the fan was none other than Perry Jackson. Without missing a beat Duggan tossed Perry’s limp body over the top rope like he was a rag doll and walked back up the ramp remorseless. Rating: D
Segment4: A tape is shown with various clips of Mil Mascaras’ career, hyping his pending retirement. It is a sad and moving tribute. Rating: B-
Match: Gino Hernandez Vs. Super Destroyer Vs. Buddy Landell In a preview of whats to come at the big show these 3 competitors put on a wrestling clinic in a pacey match. Gino and Destroyer formed an early loose alliance to take the nature boy out of the running before Gino turned on Destroyer to try and take the bout for himself and gain momentum going into the title match. After a good 5 minutes of back and forth action Gino saw his opportunity and took it nailing Buddy Landell, who had just started making his comeback, with a reverse diving elbow. Super Destroyer tried in vain to break the 3 count, but he was too late! Gino Hernandez picked momentum going into the big show. Winner Gino Hernandez Rating C-
Attendance: 1862 Rating: D+
Bookers notes: Slightly disappointing after my 1st too cards, but a popularity increase was forthcoming all the same. I have a really good idea of the PPV line-up and its going to be an absolute belter! Any guesses on who the 4th participant in the fatal fourway is gonna be?

Location: Very Small Mid-south Peter Birkendale: Welcome folks to another exciting instalment of HCW TV and as the January Big show rears its ugly head, we have a lot of issues un-resolved at the moment! Paul Boesch: That’s right Pete, what’s Duggan going to do about Perry Jackson costing him that match? Who is going to be taking part in the Mil Mascaras invitational? And most importantly who is going to be the 4th man in the title match? Peter Birkendale: Well hopefully all those questions will have an answer before the night is done Paul, either way we are in for a classic here tonight with a classic 6 man tag main event, including the 3 men already confirmed in the big shows title match on the same side, it’s a volatile situation to say the least!
Match: Leatherface Vs. Mike Bond – first blood At the request of Leatherface he was put into a match with a hardcore style. And he seemed to thrive in the brutal environment. Dominating poor mike bond and really doing a number on his face. The match as a spectacle was more than a little forgettable, mercifully the referee called a stop to it when Leatherface managed to cut Bond just above the right eye. Winner: Leatherface Rating: F+
Segment 1 & 2: Hacksaw Jim Duggan makes his way to the ring looking typically pumped up and irate, which is pretty much a standard look for him lately. He had microphone, so everyone knew they were probably in for another ‘exciting’ speech from the Hacksaw! Jim Duggan: All of you have seen how Perry Jackson was the one that cost me my match up against JYD, but I have something here you might find interesting. Roll the tape. A tape plays and it show’s Perry Jackson showing the banner he had fashioned to JYD, JYD chuckled and patted Jackson on the back before Jackson wondered off. Jim Duggan: See, JYD was running scared so I hired that punk to throw me off my A-Game, there is no way that pathetic piece of trash would have beat me otherwise, well im not gonna tolerate it no more. So JYD, Perry Jackson, if you too have the bottle I’ll see you in the ring at the January Big show, no more plotting, just you two against me! Ratings: B- and C-
Match: Mr Olympia Vs. Art Crews. Art Crews has been finding televised match’s few and far between of late and looked keen to impress against Mr Olympia. Unfortunately Mr Olympia had other ideas as the two locked horns. Art Crews worked over Mr Olympia in typically bullish fashion, using his muscly frame to Bully Mr Olympia. Although he wasn’t having his way with Olympia, not by any stretch of the imagination, in fact Mr Olympia almost got the 3 count with a nifty roll up pin, only for Art Crews to kick out at 2. But it looked like lights out for Mr Olympia when Art Crews nailed him with a big power slam, but to everybody’s surprise Mr Olympia kicked out, in the process of that he managed to hit his finisher on Crews and get the win. Winner: Mr Olympia Rating: D-
Segment 3: General Manager Lee-James made his way to the ring looking very pleased with himself. Lee-James Bovey: Well ladies and gents for 3 weeks now I have been umming and ahhhring trying to decide who the 4th man in the main event at the January big show is going to be and in the end it came down to two folks and I just couldn’t decide who to pick, so I’m gonna let them decide for me. Tonight its going to be Butch Reed Vs. The masked Superstar for a shot at the HCW Heavyweight Championship! Rating: E+
Match: Iron Mike Sharpe Vs. Magnum TA A match that Iron Mike had to win and it showed as Iron Mike upped the anti and put on one of his best showings to date. He annihilated Magnum TA from start to finish leaving the ‘moustached one’ with very little chance for offence, he picked up the win impressively quickly with a massive back body drop and the pin. Winner: Iron Mike Sharpe Rating: D
Segment4: Following his impressive display Iron Mike exits the ring to grab a microphone. Iron Mike Sharpe: Hey, Bovey, get your ass out here. After short deliberation Lee Bovey’s music plays and he makes his way to the ring looking rather annoyed at Iron Mike. Lee-James Bovey: Who the hell do you think you are speaking to me like that? You realise that I’m essentially the guy paying your wages now don’t you? Now what the hell do you want Mike? Iron Mike Sharpe: You promised me a number one contender match and I want it now! Lee-James Bovey: I promised you a shot at the January big event and you’re lucky to get that! Iron Mike Sharpe: So who am I facing? Lee-James Bovey: I can’t tell you that! Iron Mike Sharpe: Why not? Lee-James Bovey: because if you want to be the champ you have to be able to deal with whoever stands in your way, no matter how slippery they are! That’s why your opponent at the Big Show will be revealed on the night! With that Bovey walked back up the aisle leaving Iron Mike with a scowl on his face. Rating: E
Segment: 5 Just prior to his match Butch Reed came to the ring with a microphone to try and wind up the masked superstar and gain an advantage. Butch Reed: You know what I have been mulling it over, just thinking about when I win the title at the Big Show, and you know what, masks are lame! That’s right masked superstar, you come to the ring wearing that stupid piece of material, what do you think because you cover your face you’re someone special? Let me tell you Ronald Regan is ugly but at least he doesn’t hide behind a mask! Well I guess you two have something in common, you’re both actors! Rating: C+
Match Butch Reed Vs. The Masked superstar A match that both men were desperate to win, the stakes were high and it showed in an oddly cautious bout. It looked at one point that the masked superstar was on top as he tirelessly worked the arm on Butch Reed, but reed sucked it up and went on the offensive, reigning punch’s on the Hispanic brawler. The masked Superstar was dazed and confused and Reed was lining up the Flying tackle, he charged at the masked superstar who managed to avoid it and Referee Nick Patrick was sent tumbling to the ground. Realising what had just happened Reed unleashed on the masked superstar with a Gorilla press slam, if he could just bring the ref to the match was his for the taking, but out of no-where Reed got caught hard by a chair shot. It was Mil Mascaras! Clearly the earlier jibes about masks had angered Mil and he was taking his revenge! Mil drooped the masked superstar over Reed and hopped out of the ring just in time to hear the ref make the 3 count! Winner: The masked Superstar Rating: D+
Segment 6: Following the match a couple of chairs are set up in the ring and Paul Boesch calls out Chavo Guerrero. Paul Boesch: My guest tonight here on ‘Paul’s 2 cents’ is none other than ‘Latin legend’ Chavo Guerrero. Chavo make’s his way to the ring amid rapturous applause Paul Boesch: Hi Chavo, how are things? Chavo Guerrero: Real good essa, I’m on good form and I’m really enjoying things under the new manager. Paul Boesch: And you’re on the show tonight to make some kind of announcement, is that right? Chavo Guerrero: It sure is Home’s Paul Boesch: And what would that announcement be? Chavo: Well Essa, As we have just seen Mil Mascaras is pretty much the man, I come from a family and we all wrestle and we all grew up watching Mil put Mexican wrestling on the map, if it weren’t for him, myself, the masked superstar, Gino, none of us would have made it north of the border. That’s why I’m entering myself in to the tournament for Mil’s mask. I wanna’ be Mil Mascaras the 2nd man! Chavo and Paul shake hands and both exit the ring Rating: C-
Match: Super Destroyer, Buddy Landell and Gino Hernandez Vs. Dean Malenko, El Sicodelicio and Arn Anderson Would the 3 people who are taking part in the title match at the big show be able to co-exist? Well it seemed at 1st like they would as Super Destroyer worked over El Sicodelico and tagged Gino Hernandez to continue the offense. Gino worked over Sicodelicioa bit more and went over and tagged in Landell, but landell was a bit unhappy with the strength of the tag. Nether-the-less he entered the ring, but not before Sicodelico had tagged in Dean Malenko. Malenko and Buddy exchanged a few holds and Malenko managed to grab a tag off Arn Anderson who went to work on the nature boy. Several quick tags later and Buddy looked in trouble. Arn Anderson hit the spinebuster and made the cover, but as the ref went to make the count both Gino and Super destroyer broke it up, which sparked a mass brawl in the ring. In one of the more bizarre moments in wrestling all three of the contenders for the title performed there finishers at the same time and made simultaneous pins, the referee made the count, but didn’t seem to know who the legal man was, not that it mattered! Winner: Super Destroyer, Buddy Landell and Gino Hernandez Rating: D+
Segment 7: After the match the 3 contenders star each other down, Landell makes the 1st punch and it all kicks off into a 3 way brawl. In the end it is only broken up by security and a host of backroom staff. What are these competitors going to do to each other at the Big Show? Rating: C+
Attendance: TBC Rating: D+
Booker Notes: I am pleased with how things are unfolding leading up to the monthly main event. But a little disappointed with fans reactions, I guess the important thing is that our popularity is rising and this main event will give me the chance to make some money as well (hopefully) please feel free to use the January Big show prediction/rating sheet below. I’m curious to know what you guys think! Base the ratings on whatever criteria you want, build up, wether you think it would be a good match etc. plus feel free to make any comments!

Sorry for not commenting on this more, Panix. I've been enjoying it a lot. That Mystery Man gag with Duggan and Perry was splendid. Seriously. :) I honestly thought it was going to be Rocky Johnson for some reason - heh. And I'll say it again: the push of Iron Mike Sharpe is both shocking and awesome. Heck... he got a solid D out of Maggie May! HCW Heavyweight title – fatal fourway Gino Hernandez Vs. Buddy Landell Vs. The Masked Superstar Vs. Super Destroyer Rating: 10/10 Comment: This storyline has really hooked me. Landell might be the weak link (as evidenced by his not-so-great showing, ratings-wise, against Mr. Olympia on the show three weeks back), but his being linked with some of your better workers is paying off. My gut instinct is to go with Masked Superstar here (as he seems to give you the most consistent ratings), but I'm a Gino fan through-and-through. He was YOUR Champion, after all. :) Hacksaw Jim Duggan Vs. Junkyard Dog and Perry Jackson Rating: 9/10 Comments: I'm still irked it wasn't Rocky Johnson. :) In all seriousness, this seems to have the possibility of being 'the' money feud. You've portrayed Duggan quite well. Mil Mascaras w/ Chavo Guerrero Vs. Butch Reed Rating: 7/10 Number 1 contender match Iron Mike Sharpe Vs ? Rating: 7/10 Hardcore match Leatherface Vs. Art Crews Rating: 5/10 Comments: Leatherface might look cool, but he's been stinking up the joint. Granted, his competition has been bad (Malenko aside)... and it's not going to improve here. I've voting 5/10 for the monster push, though. :) Dean Malenko and Arn Anderson Vs. El Sicodelico and Mr Olympia Rating: 5/10 Comments: I'm a big Stubbs (Mr. Olympia) fan. With that in mind, seeing him as more of an on-the-job trainer is strange to me (he's so darned good, he got a D- out of Crews on a card in which your highest rating was a D+!). Still... your use of him in this role is smart. Even if he's not hispanic. :)
You let the cat out of the bag and ruined my, 'i dont care, im hispanic at heart' gimmick i was going to give him when he finally gets unmasked! Oh well! Back to the drawing board eh! Your right, by the way leatherface sucks, but he's kind of a pet project, if i can get him over then surely i could apply for a job on the modern day smackdown! Plus im thinking of ushering in an era of hardcore for HCW, leatherface is just the beggining, i'm going to try and get hold of Foley, The Funker, Abdullah the butcher and slowly turn HCW into a 1980's version of ECW! Or maybe i will just release Leatherface when his contract expire's :D - i guess you'll have to wait and see!

I'm just waiting for Junkyard Dogamania!!! I was a big fan of his, lol. I don't care for Mr. Olympia much, lol. Hernandez, Although I love JYD, I predict Hasksaw winning, Mil Mascaras w/Chavo, Leatherface (because of what you said about him being a pet project), Arn Anderson and Malenko.... I'm not sure about Sharpe, I think you might have someone coming to just mess him up, so going to go with the Mystery fellow for the moment. Interesting the way your using all these guys, I have to admit to being a bit impressed here!

Live from Very Small Mid-south Peter Birkhole: Hello there ladies and gentleman of Houston have we got a treat for you tonight? as we find out who is going to be the inaugural HCW champion. Paul Boesch: That’s right PB, we have a fatal fourway elimination match for the newly created title happening tonight with 4 of the best workers in the country competing in it. Peter Birkhole: And on top of that we have Jim Duggan Vs. Perry Jackson and JYD, plus Iron Mike sharpe’s number one contender match. Paul Boesch: Any idea who he’s facing Peter Birkhole: I don’t know squat, but the rumour is going round that it may well be magnum TA, I guess we will find out!
Segment1: Jim Duggan made his way to the ring to start the show off. Jim Duggan: As you all know, tonight I show all you cowardly Americans what being a patriot is all about. I know you all see Terry Bollea over on the McMahons WWF talking about how he’s real American, well I will let you in on a little secret he’s 1 third Portuguese! And speaking of no good piece’s of crap, tonight I take on that slimy, sign writing Perry Jackson and his ‘friend’ Junkyard dog. You don’t have to tell me how brave I’m being, its not bravery, its just something that needs to be done and tonight I kill two birds with one stone. Rating: C
Match: Dean Malenko and Arn Anderson Vs. El Sicodelico and Mr Olympia A nice looking opening match including the newly formed team of Arn Anderson and Dean Malenko. Arn Anderson started the bout off locking horns with the bigger of his opponents Mr. Olympia, the two of them exchanged a few loose holds before unleashing some pretty impressive physical move’s. After a couple of minutes of this Mr Olympia made the tag and El Sicodelicio entered the ring and continued to work over AA. After a few more minutes had passed Anderson was beginning to look in a bad way, frequent tags between the more experienced opponents seemed to be taking there toll on the big man and he clearly need to make the tag. Just when things looked like a forgone conclusion making a tag was exactly what he did. Malenko entered the ring, looking fresh and on fire! He dealt out punch after punch laying out both of his opponents in quick succession. Before Sicodelico knew what had hit him Malenko had locked in the Texas cloverleaf. Arn Anderson somehow found the strength to restrain the stunned Mr Olympia and the newly formed team picked up a moral boosting win. Winner: Arn Anderson and Dean Malenko Rating D-
Segment2: JYD is seen pacing around backstage looking pretty angry. He mutters something about somebody not turning up, could it be that Perry Jackson has bailed on him? Rating: F-
Match: Hardcore: Leatherface Vs. Art Crews It was always going to be tough to follow such a frantic tag match and these two perennial curtain twitchers really were not up to the challenge as they hit each other with chairs, baking sheets and even a packet of four toilet rolls. After possibly the least hardcore 5 mintues in wrestling history Leatherface got the victory over art crews after knocking him out cold with the ring bell. Winner: Leatherface. Rating: E
Segment3: Iron Mike sharp stood confidently in the ring awaiting his mystery opponent for a shot at the title. The ring announcer began the anouncment: “and Sharpes opponent, from Gainsville Texas, weighing in at 260lb Jake Roberts!” Rating: D-
Match: Iron Mike Sharpe Vs. Jake Roberts Mike seemed genrally surprised and perhaps slightly shaken by his opponent in the number 1 contender match, but that didn’t stop him launching into the match with a gusto, throwing everything bar the kitchen sink at the smaller Robert’s, but what Jake lacked in size he made up for in speed and technique. Sharpe had come to brawl, Roberts had come to wrestle. Every attempt at a power move was cleverly countered by the rookie Roberts. As the match progressed, this strategy was slowly wearing down Iron Mike who hadn’t gone for longer then 5 minutes in his previous match’s after 15 minutes of seeing his every move countered Jake Roberts locked in the front face lock and exhaustion got the better of Iron Mike, 3 times his arm was raised and three times it fell to the ground, unbelievably, Jake Roberts had earned a title shot on his debut! Winner: Jake Roberts Rating: D
Segment4: A video played hyping the newly formed tag team of Dean Malenko and Arn Anderson. It showed footage of Arn Anderson lifting weights and then showed a montage of Malenko putting a training mannequin in all sorts of un-compromising wrestling holds. Rating: D-
Match: Jim Duggan Vs. Junkyard dog Jim Duggan stood in the ring and awaited the two men he was taking on, but to everybody’s dismay, Jackson was no where to be seen! So the match was to be a one on one affair! Duggan clearly has a problem with JYD and went at him hard from the get go, throwing several haymakers at the big Carolinian, he looked rattled but didn’t go down, he whipped the big man into the ropes and followed up with a clothesline, but still JYD didn’t go down. Finally Duggan knocked the Dog off his feet. Sensing that he wasn’t going to keep JYD down for long Duggan went to work on JYD strangling him and drawing a 4 count from the referee. When he had finished with the choke he dropped a knee on the throat of JYD, this was a sick new side of Duggan, furious and desperate for revenge. But JYD is all heart and began mounting a comeback with typically bullish ferocity, and when he began chasing Duggan round the ring barking and biting the crowd could sense the end was near A shoulder breaker later and it was goodnight Duggan! Winner: Junkyard Dog Rating: C-
Match Mil Mascaras with Chavo Guerrero Vs. Butch Reed Following Butch Reed’s comments about masked wrestlers and Mil Mascaras costing Reed his place in the main event, these two stars were eger to get there hands on each other. Chavo Guerrero requested that he accompany his ‘idol’ Mil Mascaras to the ring but was just really there fro moral support. Mil and Butch put on a good showing in what was going to be one of Mil’s final match’s for HCW. Neither man dominated, but the back and forth action was intense as both wrestlers battled in the name of pride. Mascaras ended the victor in unusual circumstance’s Reed tried to take out Mascaras with a steel chair only to see the chair removed from his hands by Chavo Guerrero. He turned around only to get clocked by Mascaras with a thunderous dropkick to the face, it was lights out for Reed and Mascaras picked up the win! Winner: Mil Mascaras Rating: C-
Match 4-way elimination match for the HCW Heavyweight title: Masked Superstar V Buddy Landell Vs. Gino Hernandez Vs. Super destroyer 4 of the top competitors in NCW duking it out for the newly formed HCW Heavyweight title, does it get any better than this? The masked superstar looked dominant from the get go, coming off the back of 4 wins on the trot and surely the favorite and you could see why as he was really doing a number on the underdog in the match Buddy Landell and just as soon as Buddy’s title shot had started it ended with the masked superstar nailing the flying hammer lock, and then there were three. Super destroyer was next to fall foul to the rampant masked superstar. Being clotheslined out of his boots. That just left Gino Hernandez and the masked destroyer, both unbeaten! Something had to give! And give it did, Gino had largely taken a backseat in the match to this point and the masked superstar’s previous hot form had clearly left little in the tank! The Handsome-half breed was clearly in control as he locked in a leglock on the Masked superstar, but the masked superstar countered and reversed the lock, would Gino tap out? After what seemed like an eternity Hernandez somehow managed to make it to the ropes and the hold was broken. Clearly the hold had taken its toll though as Gino was clearly in a lot of pain. The masked superstar grabbed hold of Hernandez and swang him into the corner, unfortunately that’s exactly were Nick Patrick was standing the impact sent the referee sprawling to the ground. The masked superstar wasn’t going to let this set back ruin his momentum though and he quickly followed up his original move with a bodydrop and he exited the ring. He fished around under the ring and pulled out a large spanner! He was about to get his hands on the title, he knew it, Gino knew it and even the crowd knew it, but apparently no-one had told Kamala! The Uganadan giant picked a hell of a time to exact his revenge nailing the masked superstar with the front powerslam. Spotting the ref was coming to, Kamala made a quick exit, leaving Nick Patrick with nothing to do but make the three count. Winner: Gino Hernandez. Rating: C
Overall Rating: C- Attendance: 1925
Bookers notes: I love it when a plan comes together! I was really pleased with my attendance, the show rating and how the feuds have continued/concluded. Im going to sit down and think of some new storys for next month. But I think it has been a good month for HCW 5 shows each improving my popularity can’t be all bad can it? I am pretty livid with Matt Borne though, who no-showed my last card and the main event which led to a few last minute changes to the booking. I haven't decided how to punish him yet but this sort of carry on doesn't sit well with me!

As you can see, despite it being a good month from the perspective of pulling in the fans, it was not a good month financially! If i run the fed in that fashion constantly they are going to be bankrupt within a couple of months! So 1st things 1st i have to set myself a worker budget for each show. I have taken into consideration my incomings and have decided to work to a budget of $8000 per TV show and $9000 per Big show. This will allow me to run the company for 4 or 5 months without going into the red and hopefully by that time we will be pulling in more fan's so i can re-assess the financial situation. However If come the end of April the money situation hasn't changed a dramatic re-shaping of the roster will be made in order to create a monthly profit. Hopefully it won't come to that, Paul Boesch has assured me that the $45k in the coiffeurs is mine to spend how i like, so thats a small worry off my mind! As for the short term, well the 1st thing i am going to do is cut right back on dark match's. I had several dark match's last year and they all cost me money! Secondly i am going to be running with a bare minimum roster, which means i m going to have to let another 3 workers go! But 1st i want to sit down and evaluate my entire roster before making any decisions!
