1. As SIGMA I don't have any fighters from Ohio. My understanding is that I can only sign fighters based in Europe.
2. Is there anything to gain, financially or otherwise, from having some shows outside your home region? I'm playing as SIGMA, and I've thought of having my next show in Ohio instead of Germany. I am even considering South Africa. The "lucrative" rating for Ohio is 80% instead of 70-72% for Germany, but I have never run a show in the US and wonder if it would be worthwhile or a disaster for my company. I have run one show in the UK because I have some UK-origin fighters. My main goal is to become popular enough in my home market so I can get fighters to accept exclusive contracts, but it might be fun to go abroad from time to time, the way the WWE does.
3. WMMA5 comes about as close to perfect as any game I have ever played, but I have always had trouble remembering my fighters. I know that is mostly my fault, because I'm so eager to get to the next show I don't take enough time to really study my roster. It does not help that I am playing as SIGMA, and other, bigger companies are constantly stealing my fighters. A guy gets a spectacular KO win and gets a SIGMA belt, and it seems that almost immediately some other company is trying to sign him. I am putting interesting fighters on my shortlist and trying to study them more, in order to get myself more emotionally invested in my fight cards. But still, the problem of poaching by other companies remains. Does anyone else playing as a smaller company have trouble remembering their fighters? If so, does anyone out there have any tips for making individual fighters stand out in their mind?
4. If someone would do for boxing what WMMA5 does for MMA, that would be a truly amazing game!
5. Oh no! Well, that's reason enough. My mother died from COVID, so I can't say I have any sympathy for Nia losing her job.
6. I have not played WMMA5 for a while. When I launched the game a couple days ago I noticed that there was a patch in 12-21. How do I get the patch? I went to the WMMA5 download section here but there were so many pop-up advertisements I could not see if there is a link to download a patch.
7. Gee whiz! I step away from the show for a little while and everything changes. Why was Nia fired? And why did the Hurt Business break up?
8. I watched some of Monday Night Raw last night for the first time in a long while. I was surprised...what happened to The Hurt Business? Where is Asuka? She used to be on every week. What happened to Nia Jaxx and her tag team partner? The little tribute to The Undertaker was nice.
9. Nice to see you, Javier! Where is the card game being sold?
10. No, it isn't being developed or updated any more. There have been no updates in many years. There's just a few dedicated and very knowledgeable guys updating the fighter database. But with a little imagination, TBCB 2.5 can be used to create a very deep and realistic boxing universe.
11. It would be great if someone, somewhere, would produce a boxing game as deep and accurate as TBCB 2.5. Ideally, TBCB should be updated, but that is not going to happen. I do not think a boxing game as sophisticated as TBCB will appear in my lifetime.
12. I will have to look into this. TBCB 2.5 has been my go-to boxing game for years and years, but I only play it off and on these days. Maybe Boxing Club Manager will be worthwhile.
13. May I ask where the freeware EHM is available? Is it a safe site? I bought FHM6 and found it to be fun for a while. But my players consistently would not take shots. I'm not a hockey expert, but it seemed strange that the opposing team took 35-40 shots per game against my goal while my players took 3-6 shots no matter who I played and no matter what instructions I game them. I wasn't bothered that my expansion Cleveland Barons almost always lost, but 3-6 shots per game is odd.
14. Out of the Park Baseball. It's infinitely customizable. You can create a baseball universe that is as simple or as complicated as you want, or play a historical league, or play in the real-world MLB. You can use real players or fictional ones. Hundreds of real, historical and fictional team uniforms are available for free download. You can adjust just about every parameter of your baseball universe. You can even make the data fonts bigger if you are older and want to make things easier on your eyes. OOTP is the gold standard for sports sims as far as I'm concerned. Better than FM, even. I remember suggesting on the FM forum in 2001-2002 that the ability to create teams and leagues and the option to play without the risk of getting fired would be good additions to their game. I was brutally flamed. FM only recently added a "can't get fired" option, and you have to pay extra for it. OOTP has always had those features as part of the game. There are some OOTP players who spend more time creating dream leagues than actually playing the game, just because league creation is so incredibly quick and easy. I have been playing OOTP since 2002. Other sports sim producers would do themselves and their customers a favor if they incorporated only a few of the features we have had in OOTP baseball for decades. As far as boxing is concerned, you can't do better than Title Bout Championship Boxing 2.5. I have been playing TBCB 2.5 since the early 2000s.
15. Yes, these are very useful videos. Its amazing how good this game is. Still playable and fun after all these years!
16. Even without an NFL license, it would be worth buying. The player could just edit team names, and like Dolphin81 said, it would be wonderful to import draft classes from BBCF and follow their pro careers.
17. One can always hope! Every year around this time I get the itch to take control of my Cleveland Browns and lead them to the Super Bowl! Its seems like the game was being worked on years ago. It would be a shame to waste the work that was done, when there are certainly a number of people out here who would love to become paying customers. Think about it. A text-based NFL game...with the same basic structure as BBCF. Wow!
18.
I was able to get BBCF going again by uninstalling it, downloading it again and reinstalling it. So, all is not lost.

I was never very good at the game either. Long ago I had a dynasty going with, I think, Bowling Green. In recent years I've stuck with Ohio State, though I'm not worthy of managing such a team, lol.

For me the fun comes in calling plays during games. I delegate recruitment and training and even game planning. But I think that I will try to develop game plans with my current Ohio State dynasty. Maybe I will find that to be a new avenue of fun, a new reason to keep this great old game on my hard drive!

I guess it's not up to me, but I've never understood why GD never introduced a Bowl Bound Pro Football game. The market is not exactly saturated with football games. I can understand why they would never offer a baseball game--OOTP has that market solidly in hand.

But football? As someone who bought the Wolverine game but could not spend more than a few hours playing it, I would say there is definitely room for another.

19. Darn it! I played BBCF before on this computer, but now when I try to launch it I get the dreaded Run Time Error 75. Oh well. I guess there will be no more football at all for me now. BBCF was a really good game, and a pro version based on it would be greatly appreciated by all us NFL fans. Finally, my Cleveland Browns are worth watching again!
20. I had high hopes for that one. It was a collaboration with the guy who did Front Office Football, which was a decent game, but with a terrible UI and fonts that were too small for a normal man in his 60s to read. Wolverine has a football sim, but the last one I bought, the 2020 version, has screens that are just too cluttered. And, again, they use fonts for some data areas that are just too small and too light to read easily. I'm not the only player who complained about this, but the developers don't think it's a problem. Oh well. BBCF takes up less than a screen on my computer, yet the data can easily be read without eye strain. It would be so nice to have a pro football game in the same family.
21. Is there any chance that Grey Dog will release a pro football game? I know one was being worked on years ago. BBCF is still a solid game even though it's rather old. It looks nice, the stats are believable, and the fonts used to display information in-game are readable. Since the last patch, it doesn't crash anymore, at least not for me. It would be a real treat to have a pro football game that would import draft classes from BBCF. If the NFL license is a problem, just make the game moddable so the player can rename the teams. It would be a shame to waste whatever work was done on a football game years ago.
22. I agree! I like this pairing, and I'm surprised that I like it. It looks like they are both enjoying themselves.
23. Thank you, Scott. I installed the update, and when I launch the game now it shows that I'm on version 3.0.32. But when I tried to start a new career with the 2015 season, only 4 leagues are available, none of them more recent than 2012. I tried to insert an image of my screen, but can't figure out how to do it. The insert image button does not work. It would be wonderful if rosters could be updated to the 2020/21 season. Here in Cleveland we have several interesting young players that I would love to play around with. You could even charge for the roster update. This company is pretty much it in terms of text-based basketball management sims. There is another company that produces a basketball management sim, but their screens are too cluttered and some of the fonts they use are just too difficult for my 63 year old eyes to read. This game, on the other hand, has a nice, clean interface, realistic stats, and is easy on the eye. It lets me do all the things I want to do in this type of game.
24. Can we assume that this update includes all previous updates? Or should we install the previous updates before installing this one? The version of FBPB that I am playing now is 3.0.18. Do we need to start a new save after installing this one? Or will our ongoing games be ok?
