  1. I'm in Cleveland, Ohio. Three confirmed cases so far in Cuyahoga County, where Cleveland is. Wondering seriously if I should not vote in our primaries on Tuesday, March 17. All K-through-12 schools in Ohio are closed for 2 weeks as of tomorrow (Monday). Local libraries are closed for 2 weeks. My employer is preparing to send most people home to work. I hope my stupid Spectrum internet service will not screw up. My wife is in the Philippines for her mother's funeral. I'm worried about her, because the Philippines is a very social culture--people go to the market every day to buy stuff, gossip, etc. Population density there is much higher than in the US. We are both in our 60s and therefore more vulnerable.
  2. Hi Scott. I am still not able to unlicense BBCF. On my computer the line in Bowl Bound College Football Properties looks like this: "C:\Program Files (x86)\GDS\Bowl Bound College Football\UNWISE.EXE" /W1 "C:\Program Files (x86)\GDS\Bowl Bound College Football\INSTALL.LOG" When I changed it to what you suggested, it still will not unlicense. I have not set up my new computer yet. Being in my 60s, the very idea of setting up a new Windows 10 computer fills me with dread. They just switched over to Win 10 where I work and I hate it. Maybe I will just go ahead and set up the stupid thing and hope that you will be kind enough to re-set my license.

  4. I will try that, thank you. Do you know if BBCF, FBPB and FBCB will actually work in Windows 10? It would be pointless to bother with unlicensing and relicensing if these old games don't even work.
  5. I bought a new computer and I'm in the process of transferring things from the old one. I successfully unlicensed FBPB and FBCB, but the unlicensing process for Bowl Bound College Football doesn't work. I right-clicked on the desktop icon, typed "-unlicense" at the end of the target box, pressed "Apply," but got an error message. Will BBCF even work in Windows 10? I am posting this question here instead of in the BBCF forum because that forum is very, very quiet.
  6. <p>Thanks! I did a very quick lookup of some of the titles you guys mentioned.</p><p> </p><p> Some of them appear to be apps. I have a couple of apps installed on the tablet my wife gave me recently-- "Be the Manager" and "Cyberfoot." I have no idea if these apps are any good, but I guess they satisfy my soccer management craving for now. </p><p> </p><p> I was looking for something more substantial for the PC. And I want a management game, not an arcade game where you kick the ball and play out every game with little figures running around. I will examine the games you mentioned more closely. I play FM2014 from time to time, but it's still too darned bulky, and I am still convinced the AI absolutely has a huge advantage vs the human player.</p><p> </p><p> Thanks again!</p>
  7. I have been a player of FM since it was called Championship Manager. I think the 00/01 version was the one that introduced me to the series. I bought FM2005, WSM2006, WSM2007 and WSM2008. I also bought FM14 via Steam. Trying to find a playable soccer management sim. I have always, since CM 00/01, thought the AI cheats. Or "has an unfair advantage". Whatever. I have always thought the people on their forum are arrogant and condescending when it comes to helping others understand how to play. I bought FM14 only because it (finally!!!) has a "can't get fired" option in the stripped-down module. An option I begged for years ago, only to get mercilessly insulted on their forum. You have to pay extra for "can't get fired," but at least it's there. FM has become more and more cluttered over the years. It is more trouble then it's worth. I wish I could play FM2005 on my computer, but my version of Windows 7 won't run it. We need a PLAYABLE, EASY-TO-MOD soccer management sim. Every time I suggest one on some forum, everybody tells me "Well, nobody can compete against SI!" But the sim I have in mind would not compete with SI, because the latter has completely wrapped up the "bulky, hyper-complex, impossible to play unless you have no real life at all" segment of the market. But I'm in my 60s, and I don't expect to see a playable soccer management sim in my lifetime. Oh well.
  8. I still play this game and still love it. It's stable and produces believable stats. Fictional as well as historical modes are a lot of fun. But I wish so much that there were roster updates from time to time. I wish I could play the current season (it's March 2019 as I write this) with my current Cleveland Cavaliers. I would even pay for roster updates...
  9. Thank you so much for the update. I am running Win 7. The update seems to have solved the problem I always had with this game with crashes. Before, the game was unplayable because it just crashed too much. After installing the beta version of the patch I have played two seasons as Ohio University. I play a couple of games a season and then sim the rest. I prefer to delegate recruiting, scheduling and many other functions to the AI, and concentrate on game strategy and play-calling. So far, no crashes. It is such a pleasure to be able to focus on my players and my game strategy instead of crashes. Thank you again. This game may be rather old, but it is incredibly detailed and looks gorgeous. I'm glad that I'm able to enjoy it now.
  10. As the new football season begins, I have to say I really really wish there was a new text-based football management sim to buy.
  11. I love the graphics in BBCF and would love for an NFL game to have a similar look. A tiny little patch for BBCF that would enable us to export graduating BBCF classes to BBPF would be great! I'm looking forward to taking my Cleveland Browns all the way!
  12. Any news? With the arrival of the new NFL season, one naturally thinks about how nice it would be to have a new pro football management sim.
  13. For what it's worth, I hope the game will include in-game play calling as in BBCF. But please, no little icons moving around on the screen. A realistic salary system would also be great. Whatever you do, please make the game fun for the solo player, with realistic stats, etc. An in-game player creation feature and an in-game player editing feature would be great.
  14. <p>As a person who enjoys Bowl Bound College Football, I hope this pro football version will eventually be released. </p><p> </p><p> Here in Cleveland we are getting excited about football again, and it would be nice to have a way to play out my fantasies. <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>
