TEW2020 Discussion Thread
Brushfire replied to Adam Ryland's topic in Total Extreme Wrestling 2020 General Discussions
Yeah, I get why you'd like this. I'm just gonna continue to update my spreadsheet with where I view people, but I get not everyone likes to play that way. Looks like there will be: http://www.greydogsoftware.com/forum/showpost.php?p=2380432&postcount=104 -
Absolutely love Paradox games! EU4 is my favourite by some distance, but the more I play of CK2 the more I like it - there's so much more room for challenges and role-playing in CK2 (in fact, when Attributes were first announced for 2020 this is the first game I thought of). Like seemingly my entire Twitter feed at the moment, I've been playing a lot of Animal Crossing. And playing about with my TEW2020 spreadsheet.

If you could make games full screen
Brushfire replied to goten1340's topic in Grey Dog Software General Discussions
Yeah, same here. If it was down to anything I'd just want to have the option of Maximized Windowed mode (or Windowed Borderless). That said, I disagree strongly with OP that this would result in any significant uptick in sales. I don't think there's anyone refusing to buy these games (which are in a pretty niche market) solely because they can't play in full screen. -

This but I'd like to see the full angle description in show history too. Then again, I'm pretty sure Adam said something like this (may even have been about this) would cause the game to have to store far too much data so wouldn't be feasible. -
TEW on a MAC
Brushfire replied to hunteraustin's topic in Total Extreme Wrestling 2016 General Discussions
I'd be quite interested in trying to get this to work too. As far as I know, Wine still isn't compatible with Catalina so if you've updated as I have I don't think this will still be possible. I downloaded something called VirtualBox which I think might be an alternative workaround, but in honesty, I haven't actually looked into this yet so I could be misinterpreting the software. The only other alternative is a paid solution like Parallels, but personally I'm not in a situation to pay for that right now. Of course, if anyone here knows any better please let me know! In the meantime, I'll hopefully still be able to load the game up on my PC, switch my monitor off and then use Remote Desktop from my Macbook. -

How about adding More Than Hype (LJ Cleary, Darren Kearney, and Nathan Martin) from OTT? -

Big fan of the logo graphics and looking forward to checking out the database when 2020 drops. As per the above, please feel free to let me know if you need help tweaking the skin to work with the new game! I'm pretty certain you won't need it, as you'll have the assets already, but I haven't had an excuse to load up Photoshop in a while now. -
First thing you gonna do in tew2020
Brushfire replied to ShaunGBD's topic in Total Extreme Wrestling 2020 General Discussions
Sounds interesting! I've been using TheWho's updates recently, and while I'm super impressed at the depth of the people included (quite a few that I've trained with that surprised me, with the exception of Jamie Hayter which didn't ) I can't help but notice that large bulks of the wrestlers seem to have identical stats, which hurts my immersion a bit and makes it hard to decide who to pick up (I'm still not sure exactly how the growth works). -

Strangely I never would've considered this until I saw how good the renders people have made on here are. Really gets across personality well and helps bring fictional characters to life! May have to give it a go. Still want to create my 'BritWres Reborn' promotion though, the UK deserves a big company with weekly live TV someday. -

Brushfire replied to ShaunGBD's topic in Total Extreme Wrestling 2020 General Discussions
I exclusive play real-world mods, so I suppose the first thing I'll be doing is waiting to see which one of these releases first. I might have to do some comparison though, as I want to play as a UK company and try and sign only talent from the British Isles to begin with. Does anyone know which real-world mod is the best for amount of choice and quality of realism in the UK by any chance? -

Wow, I absolutely love that skin. If it fits with the look of 2020 it's a must-have for me personally. I also really like the new picture pack. It makes everything seem that much more vibrant and professional. -

I'd see this as more of a wider arc that you apply some of the other seeds in this thread to. Sort of why am I picking these feuds and storylines for this guy? Why the losing streak? Why the issue with the tormentor? The recruitment by the manager sensing weakness? Because of this wider arc you have planned for him.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Yeah, I like this a lot. My original thought with this wasn't really to have easy cut-and-paste storylines to put into the TEW storyline feature, but rather little writer's prompts to help people think about what is next for a certain wrestler or team. <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> Of course, it should be whatever most people need it to be! I'm still super impressed with how responsive and helpful this community is, it's really nice to see.</p><p> </p><p> (on a side note, Grammarly just showed a 'beta' feature for me as I was writing this telling me this post was 5* formal, 1* friendly, and 1* optimistic. Wow - incredible work guys. The opening post is especially looking good piccamo. That's sure a whole lot more than I expected when I made an off-hand question in the Small Questions Thread! I feel the need to contribute a bit more now... following the reminder/suggestion by Vinsmoker I had gone through the SvR GM Mode storylines... although I fear some may be duplicates now. I've still included them below. I also manage to find some old TEW Storyline Packs from here (which I had no idea existed until today...!). I was going through dicing them down into my Exel sheet(although the descriptions are quite long for this little reference) - I could also post that here, but I'm not sure if that would be okay with the creators. They were the Panix storylines and the Sonfaro Megapack(s) - are either still active here? SvR list: Ungrateful Rookie ** Legend Killer ***** Outnumbered *** Faction **** A one-on-three conflict between one team of Heel wrestler(s) and one team of Face wrestler(s). So, while attempting to book for the future I realised how often I end up just sorta sat there stuck for ideas in terms of feuds / storylines. I thought about writing a little list of 'typical' basic feuds that I could refer to just every now and then - just simple stuff like the champion telling the underdog babyface he'll never win the big one, or stable members overshadowing the leader. I do get part of the fun is probably not looking at a preset list, and I wouldn't wanna use it all the time, but does anyone know if a resource like this already exists anywhere?

It's a shame that this suggestion has come a little too late into the development of the upcoming game, though!</p><p> </p><p> Edit: Agree with the point that it could be purely cosmetic too. Obviously in reality you are likely producing better quality segments and matches at higher levels, but it would be nice to not feel like you're producing absolute trash at the lower levels.</p>

Fun cosmetic fluff that I'd enjoy booking, but not something that boils down into the math.<p> </p><p> Same as ring announcers and a more robust Finishing Moves system. When matches are just a % rating at the end of the day, some of the fiddly minutia needs to be abstracted out.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Well, either abstracted out or given more meaning. I do think with the battle royals that being able to determine what order people are eliminated SHOULD have an impact, as of course making the final two, or especially in the case of a draw in theory this should put both guys over, rather than cause one to lose overness or cancel each other out. </p><p> </p><p> Ring announcers I get as this rarely makes a difference in real life unless they are especially bad, although perhaps a legendary ring announcer could give a small boost. Finishing moves I guess are more of a cosmetic thing (although perhaps their names could be used randomly in events, like the RKO reaching meme status).</p> -
Your 2020 plans

Same here, so that's exactly what I'm going to do, and then see where it goes from there..! -
Hi guys - I’m making wrestlers from scratch for the first time on TEW2016 - would someone be able to let me know what each of the Potential options mean? Preferably with some real-life examples for each one, if possible? (Normally I like the random aspect, but with the created guys I want some of them to have higher ceilings than others)
